Amazing place... the food is very good and the onwer are super nice! Perfect place to bring friend and family or a business meeting!

I used to love this place when I was younger, but I won't be returning. The host and busser were rude and made us feel unwelcome. The food was just okay, but the staff needs a serious overhaul.

Andersonville restaurant, we tried for a family dinner. Great quad hummus with pita, and kabobs mixed with Angus, chicken and shrimp. Lemon dill rice soup was delicious. Turkish coffee was the best.

What happened? This used to be a very reliable standard place for a tasty and fresh meal. Over the last two years the quality has gone from bad to worse. Bland food, weird baba ghanoush, an unfortunate selection of wines, supposedly fresh peaches that come out still frozen in the dish, soggy pita bread, And indifferent but not very competent service. I was embarrassed to bring guests here . After almost 25 years of being a customer, I’m all set with Andies.

The food I had delivered, steak kabob and hummus, were objectively terrible. The steak was so tough I couldn't bite through it. The hummus with za'tar was incredibly bland - salt and garlic are your friends, guys. The dill rice is cold and dry. I'll eat the pita with the store-bought hummus I have in the fridge. Extremely disappointing for the price I paid for it all. Would not order again. There are far better Greek restaurants in the city.

I've been here before a few times to dine in so I figured it's be easy for a takeout order. I made an order online and it said it was ready. I go to pick up and they tell me they didn't get my order. I had to show the host that I already put in an order on their own screen. They stated that the 3rd party site, Ritual, doesn't auto populate the orders, but it wasn't busy. So, they didn't accept my order and had to wait for another 30 minutes for them to make it and they didn't offer anything for their mistake. Save yourself time, money and effort... Just go to Reza's. Won't be back and will not ever use a restaurant that uses Ritual either. I also tipped on the app and regret it.

The even have gluten free cinnamon buns! Also chocolate brownies and I'm sure maybe other gluten free options. The atmosphere is eclectic and warm also inviting. Love the vibe and great restaurant. We had a nice time

The food is good, but the kitchen is slow and handles a rush poorly. If you order takeout, expect it to be an hour even though their website says 20 minutes. Hosts will keep telling you 5 more minutes.

Andie's used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Andersonville. I would always take guests from out of town here when visiting. But something has changed. The past several times I have been here, my experience has been terrible. The quality of service has severely gone downhill. On my last visit, I ordered a cocktail and never received it; I had to remind the waiter about it after waiting for nearly 30 minutes. I ordered dill rice (which is an upcharge) and was given normal rice instead. The server who was pouring water did so very sloppily and spilt water on both the table and the seats. My friend had to ask multiple times for a to-go box, eventually flagging down a different employee to get one. And on the previous visit, the appetizer we ordered was delivered after our entrees were. The food is still good, but this is some of the absolute worst service I've received at a restaurant in Chicago. I have been disappointed multiple times here in the past year and will not be returning.

This is the place to eat in Andersonville. Every bite was delicious and the grape leaves were the best I’ve ever had. Great service too!

Andies is Amazing! From the wait staff, to the delicious food and drinks, to the phenomenal service. I went there for dinner with a few friends and we were just talking amongst ourselves that one of our friends is expecting a baby. The server overheard this and went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations by sending a nice desert saying congratulations. That small touch made a huge difference. It showed the staff cares for the customers. Their food was really delicious and fresh. It was as if the vegetables were grown in a garden in the back. I recommend the kefta kabob and the bread is to die for! Oh and can't forget about their Sangria...it's home made!

Ordered delivery and every single dish was so delicious that this was the most satisfying meal I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!

I had the saffron bail chicken, gf pita, Hummus, chicken lemon soup. It was all amazing. Being gf and df, it's nice to have so many options

Just had an incredibly delicious meal here. Very much recommend this cozy little place for some super authentic Mediterranean.

Took my mom there for her 90th birthday. It was wonderful, food was great. Noise level was minimal so we could hold pleasant conversations. Service was great as well, no mistakes. And the never-ending fresh pita was superb.

Not up to usual standards, appetizers and salad were good both both entrees were very disappointing.

Wildly disappointing for the price. I paid $15 for pita and a cold piece of cheese which I thought was a cheese dip, and my friend paid $30 for falafel and some raw veggies with hummus. If all this was $20- $25, it would be fine, but for almost $50 in total, I feel like I was robbed.

The food was just fair. Nobody's meal would make them want to hurry back. Some people's meals in our group were luke warm, but that was clearly due to the staffing shortage issue that the restaurant was experiencing. It was also clear that a couple of the staff members were very frustrated in having to pick up so much slack.

Our Christmas lunch was at Andies. The food came family style which worked well for us. All of the portions were large enough that everyone ate their fill. We each had our favorite items.

My friend and I went to Andie’s for Christmas and had a lovely experience. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the ambience was perfect. I am thankful they were open. It’s a great place.

Not to be held against them, of course since they moved us next to the fireplace instead which more than made up for it. And the rest of the night, they offered great service and food. The lentil soup was tasty and my gyros plate certainly had more personality than a street vendor version of the same dish. Our servers were around regularly, but not intrusive. But one piece of advice they gave was to be aware that the entrees were going to be bigger than we may expect which held true for sure. My date had shrimp and steak kabobs and enjoyed her meal just as much. It was a great environment to talk at a conversational level and still be heard. Maybe it was a quiet night due to the cold, but it was perfect for us. Lastly, I was actually surprised at the price and how much value we got for the final bill. I've spent more on less food at a lesser restaurant recently. I think it's a great value if cost is a concern. I would recommend Andies to my friends and other readers.

We took a group of 13 for a pre holiday get together. The service was friendly albeit a little slow . The food was as I remember it. I love the pita and hummus. We had a little bit of everything and everyone seemed happy.

Great service decent price our waiter was outstanding. Not sure if the dill rise is supposed to come out cold, but it was and the falafel was too seasoned.

Plenty of room for a party of 8 to celebrate birthdays and reunion of friends. Excellent food.

Always enjoy eating here when we come to Chicago. Brought some friends who love Mediterranean food and they felt it was the best they have had.

I was completely disappointed. We ordered starters and main dishes. the falafel was over cooked and actually served black! The taste was not great of anything on the menu we ordered. And the service was horrible. We could not get anyone to do anything for us. We had to chase people down for help, also got a a few times to get what we needed. I will not be going back.

It was ver disappointing. I ordered kofte kebab which was served ‘burned’. The server said she would get the kitchen to make a new one, which arrived burned again. Babagannush was the worst I’ve tasted ever. The village salad was cut in so big pieces that you couldn’t chew 2 pieces together. I had to pick each and every piece seperately. I will not go back again.

Try the appetizer dip sampler! It's delicious! This restaurant is a gem; it's been around since 1974. The service is great! The Tunisian Chicken is savory. The portions are generous; I will have to try dessert on the next visit.

Walked in to Andie's after like a decade when visiting Chicago. Food was lovely. Service was on point. The waitress came and asked us a few times how the food was and also got our water glasses filled a couple of times. Would love to visit again when I am in town.

This is a charming restaurant with delicious food. With plenty of options between traditional Mediterranean eats and vegetarian and vegan options, it has a dish for everyone.

Loved this restaurant! I was in the area for a massage appointment and was hungry. I was craving salmon. (I'm a gluten-free, dairy-free pescatarian.) Andies salmon salad came up in my search, so I decided to try it. It was so good! I loved the atmosphere as well and the service was good too! I highly recommend this place and the salmon salad! I will be going there again after my next massage ... going to make this a routine. Oh, and they have gluten-free pita bread!

Our waitress was friendly with high energy and upbeat. I had the beef shawarma with roasted potato. The meat was tender and flavorful.

On Saturday night I was there. I noticed new Lalique inspired tra candle holders on various tables Gilgamesh was too busy to complement.

Everything here was really delicious. I highly recommend the taster salad platter.

Excellent food and service. Matthew is always very accommodating and knowledgeable with the menu. The Salmon Salad was fantastic! My friend and I come here often and highly recommend! One annoyance is watching the server and food runner/busser hustle, while the hostess is facetiming at her station the whole time. Other than that, a great experience. Excellent food!

We were visiting from out of town on a rainy Sunday evening. The place was pretty empty but we were welcomed by the staff and the service was great all night. The food was wonderful and we had an enjoyable evening

We returned fur a nice Saturday dinner. Everyone is vey friendly and nice. Our table waiter and servers were great. We are always happy to see our waiter each visit. He Is wonderful The food is hot, fresh and delicious!! We will keep returning!!

Amazing food. Perfect portion size. Went for the restaurant week menu and everything was great, especially the three cheese moussaka. Highly recommend.

We return, time and again, to Andies for great food and great service. We've had yesterday's waiter at least a dozen times. I do like their buffets, but they seem to have stopped. We also order delivery from them frequently.

We enjoyed Christmas dinner at Andies. Food was good although I would have liked a few kid friendly options. Service was exceptional. Street parking was easy! Would definitely return.

Andies is a favorite in Andersonville. You never go wrong eating here. I had the steak kabobs & my spouse had the lamb eggplant couscous. Both dishes excellent. Service always perfect as well.

Food was very good, but our food took forever to come out of the kitchen. Our server was very pleasant and kept checking on our order, but it took at least a full hour to get to our table.

Healthy fresh food at good prices and the waitstaff are wonderful.

Atmosphere, staff, drinks and starters were all great. Ended up getting the shawarma platter and the meat was over seasoned to the point of it being unpalatable and they had finished the dish by sprinkling raw cumin across the top. Despite my dish having some shortcomings, I would absolutely go back for many meals to come.

We did thanksgiving dinner at Andies. My son wanted traditional Turkey and I just wanted a salad. Andies had both so it was the perfect choice. I was surprised it was more crowded. The food was excellent and I’m sure we couldn’t have cooked at home what we had for the <$50 food tab. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a party of 6 on Thanksgiving. We all ordered the standard Turkey Dinner as that is why we went out. Our dinner was excellent and we were at the last of the reservations! Turkey was juicy, potatoes were not instant! Gravy and dressing were great! The only thing missing was dessert, but clearly did not need as there was more than enough dinner! The server was wonderful and cheerful for working, especially working on a holiday evening! We will be back!

Hadn't been there in a decade, and while it looks just the same we were both delighted with everything we ate - harressa dip, dolmates, lamb osso bucco, and za'atar garlicky chicken. Will be back much sooner than last time!

What a fantastic restaurant! Great food, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

Although the food was tasty, we were surprised that there were so many additional charges for items that looked to be included with our menu selections. Ambience is quite stark.

We had a comfort food meal and some dry red wine on a crisp fall evening. Perfect transition from a busy week to the weekend.

Incredibly slow table service. My chicken kabob was overcooked and bland; the only thing that compensated for its flavorless was a good tzaziki sauce. The hummus was good, but I won't be rushing back for it.

We love this restaurant that has something for everyone. Especially appreciated is that they label what is either vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free in their menu. Service is attentive and friendly. Food is delicious and lovingly made.

Andies is always a nice experience. The food is incredible and the cocktails classic. The vegetarian plate one of the best.

A person in my party ordered gluten-free pita. And when his GF entree came the skewers were atop a regular pita. He got sick the next day from gluten exposer, and had to skip a good friends birthday party. Needless to say we will not be eating there again. You would think that the waiter would be smart enough to know that the person who specifically ordered GF, wasn't going to want a gluten pita underneath his entree.

Good food, great service, great sangria, decent prices, large airy venue, fun vibe. Glad we stopped by here for dinner in a Sunday afternoon.

Food is very tasty, healthy and diverse. Had a chilled carrot soup on a 90+f day with an asparagus salad. I keep returning and always enjoy. Staff is friendly and do helpful. Pita is heated and tasty. Holiday buffet is great

Our waitress was rude and passive aggressive, when we attempted to state our allergies and begin asking questions about the menu she told us to, “calm down, nobody is dying in this restaurant tonight” she then walked away from us without actually answering any questions. We were brought multiple items that we knew were not safe for us to eat. We waited over an hour for our food despite the fact that there were very few other people in the restaurant, then spent half an hour waiting for our check and ultimately had to go to the hostess stand and ask for it. We spent a total of 2 hours in the restaurant and spent significantly more money than our food or our service were worth, no one was apologetic about our mistreatment or unjustified wait times. I would not recommend this place to anyone, food restrictions or otherwise, it a was deeply unpleasant dining experience and the food was not worth it, go literally anywhere else.

Greeted with water and pita pretty immediate after sitting. Server came pretty quick after. Pita was cold and rock hard. Server was friendly and helpful. After we placed our order we didn't see him as much bc it got busier. FOOD: Trio w spinach/feta pastry, hummus, and falafel was tasty...however way too much raw onion garnish--would in future order wo Chicken/rice soup--hot and ok, but overall bland--feel like something you'd have in a hospital lamb meatballs--good flavor, but some were dry and some moist...again way too much raw onion garnish Mousaka w gyro--ony thing tasty was the gyro. the rest of the plate was cold, eggplant not well cooked, lots of raw onion and pasta sauce. would never order this again overall...been to many better med restaurants. what we had was neither amazing or something we would crave and want again.
