The gyros and fries are excellent along with the burgers. I did not care for the cheesecake dessert, it was a bit too cakey and not enough cheesy for my taste.

Rudest nonsense I have ever experienced. Their food sucks. Not worth any of it.

They are OVER CHARGING EVERYONE!!!! We got 1 burger ($6) , chicken strips ($6) 1 order of cheese fries ($5), 1 drink ($2), and 1 order of mozzarella sticks ($7) and somehow that was $42 when it should’ve been $32 (max) after a 4% credit card fee and an extra 10% city tax The guy up front wouldn’t give anyone their receipts either. Shady practices when they know drunk people are buying food!!!

We go here every time we're in Chicago! And multiple times if possible. The food is delicious, and the prices are very fair. The first time I ate there, it somehow made me nostalgic for food I'd never had before.

Me and the Wife took a ride up North, saw Windy City Gyros and pulled over to eat there, it was busy, I asked a patron about the Food he gave it a thumbs up, we placed the order, they didn't dress up the sandwiches the way we wanted, and it wasn't good, fries were half cooked, won't see us again!

Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. In other words, it's typical Chicago carryout food. Very popular place so it's usually not empty but they're also very fast.

$17.00 for a gyro, fries & drink, that’s ridicules!

The food was mediocre at best. The gyro plate deluxe tasted alright but wasn't the best I ever had. Plus for it to be deluxe you really didn't get that much more than just with the regular gyro plate. It said extra meat but it looked the same as the gyro plate Not worth getting the deluxe at all. The gyro sauce wasn't good at all. The fries weren't good at all. They needed more salt and were cold. The taco was delicious and definitely worth buying. The pizza puff tasted like the grocery store puff you could make at home. My spouse had the burger he said it was good but nothing special about it. Tasted like any other burger.

As you can see in my picture, the food that was served was more than ample and quite delicious. The staff behind. the counter were fast and courteous. And a surprise in the city of Chicago. it was quite easy to park in the parking lot adjacent to this place.

The older Greek guy behind the counter, is very unfriendly and rude. The cooks that prepare the food use their bare hands, no sanitary gloves, and they don’t understand or speak English. The prices went up modestly. And why don’t they ever have red onions for their salads? It’s not worth eating here. Too many other places near by.

Cheese fries are very delicious and pizza puff was good too. Their fried mushrooms were ok !

This place has been around for decades, remember when I ate there as a teenager. Went back and got a bacon double cheeseburger... it was amazing. Do some of the cooks there have an attitude problem? They might. But the food is great.

Anything you buy from here is awesome, the prices a lil higher than normal but it's worth it.

The food is great here! Not your typical Chicago fancy place, but instead an old-style great-tasting fast-food shop with an amazing atmosphere! Wish they could allow you to pay by card by yourself without taking your card from you though, but that’s just a little suggestion. Loved gyros sandwiches and cheese fries, recommend!

I just stood there waiting for the order, two chefs stood there and looked at me and said: (perro) it means dog, it was a little awkward, because I don’t know what I did to them, I didn’t even say anything

Fries are extremely bland, gyro platter is good though, along with pita. Issue was we ordered an extra side of tzatziki with the gyro plates, no sauce was provided with the plates alone along with the additional sauce, and you’d think a gyro plate with include the sauce.

Best tasting gyros in the city. Love to stop by when I’m in the neighborhood and am never disappointed. Plus they have so many other excellent options on the menu like the ribs, Greek chicken and Grecian salad. Great food and great service from a family owned Chicago landmark! Thanks Windy City!

Food is just so bland , fries and chicken pita

Called today to complain about an order. Order of gyros—requested tomatoes only. No onions. I received the order with clumps of onions. Called and asked for manager. “I’m as close to a manager as you’re gonna get,” the guy said. When I told him the issue, he said that was a different shift and he “has no control over it.” That’s why I asked to speak w a manager! Never apologized or offered anything. I wasn’t looking for a refund. Done with them. Luckily, there are many other places to go in this city.

Quality food. Recommend eating here not delivery probably cold by time it delivered. Been open more than 20 years. I had many items on menu. Never disappointed. Chicken pita is best. Recommend. Open decently late also.

The casher is a rode parson been coming too this place for over 30 puls years and never felt miss treated odering here need to take a look at this make me don't wont to ever come back there again the new cashier is rod .

Used to live nearby and was a regular customer. Place hasn't changed over the years. Typical Chicago gyros spot with go-to menu items that hit the spot all these years later.

Literally y'all's bbq chicken and bbq tips gave my buddy fukin food poisoning, I usually fw a good gyro but um do better, poor girl is in pain now, def won't be coming back due to the ptsd

This is the third time I have ordered from them thru Uber eats and they have left off items every time. They never answer the phone to get things corrected. Uber eats will only give a partial refund each time stating that it is up to the restaurant to approve a full refund. This place sucks DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

Delicious gyro and fries, highly recommended fornthis part, what I don't recommend is the fountain drink. It tasted very moldy and I ended up throwing it away after 2 sips. Do go for the gyros though!

Nothing fancy, but what place that sells Chicago dogs and gyros should be? Their food is amazing. One of my favorite local spots. The best Chicago dog! I also love their cheese fries & grilled cheese. Friendly staff, casual interior, feels super comfortable in there.

Love this place for replenishment and a slice of life. Generous well-made gyros. I like eating there for the authentic city atmosphere -- a little slice of Uptown in East Lakeview 😀 -- seriously the service is great and the food, delicious. Worth a trip.

We ordered food for delivery. First off, they got the order wrong. 2 chicken pitas, 1 no mayo. Both had a pound of mayo on it and one didn't have lettuce or tomatoes either. The chicken itself tasted good but the rest was just sloppy and gross. I definitely won't order food for delivery here again. Maybe it's not as sloppy while you dine in? And you can always fix a wrong order in person. I'm not sure. But I def don't recommend delivery from here or the chicken pitas which total cost $40.

The most delicious food you could ask for. It's so bad for you, but so good. The gyros are just a heap of perfectly cooked lamb. The service is generally a bit grumpy, but food is ready quick, and I just get take out.

The hotdog with everything on it & a banana shake was soooo 😊 good! The perfect flavored combo for a quick bite. 👍

They have a sneaky person in the parking lot waiting to put a boot on your car if you get food and then pick up food at the restaurant across the street even if you leave the parking lot for 10 seconds. Then they’ll want $300+ to remove boot off your car. Extortion plain and simple. Restaurant claims they have nothing to do with booting but they do business with the greedy landlord. Greek guy at the register is grumpy.

Great late night food for the Lakeview and Uptown neighborhood. Big menu available late and made quickly and tasty. Counter service that's best for carryout. Clean. No frills, just order and get out with late night munchies.

Amazing neighborhood restaurant. Best for take out, but you can eat in. They make everything from gyros to fish and chips and everything in between. The rib tips are especially good, but pretty much everything on the very diverse menu is good. 👍👍

This place is top 10 , it's open late , the food comes out quick no matter how busy , and I don't eat pork , and the staff always reminds me of what I can't eat that day , and the menu shifts you got options !

Super fast, delicious hot. Gyro plate was ready before the credit card went thru. Classic place and I'll be back. Burger is absurdly good, and the Italian beef is better than portillos. Good value

The food here is consistently great. With reasonable prices. It has been a staple in the neighborhood for many years due to it's late hours it continues to be a go-to spot for something good and affordable

This is a great late-night greasy spoon to satisfy any post-bar cravings. Fast food cooked right. Reasonable priced. It’s still operated by the original Greek owner (I think). Great milkshakes. Burgers are decent. Looking forward to trying their onion rings next time!

August 27 2023 not happy with this ownwe told us we can't take orders at night deal. Being forced to order thru grub hub and pay over 25% increase from the menu just because it's past 7pm is wrong. This needs to be fixed. Favorite place for takeout in Lakeview east. Guys here are pretty friendly and will take care of you. Chicken pita is #1.

Typical old greasy spoon spot but the staff can be pretty rude/not care about their customers. Gyros are hit or miss depending on who’s cooking. The tzatziki sauce is great tho and does a good job making up for when their meat isn’t cooked right.

Went in and gyros meat was rubbery. They refused to give extra Tzaziki sauce. Found a hair in the fries. As awful an experience and quality of food you will get.

My family and I always get their rib tips, such a good combo. The food has never disappointed since we started buying three years back.

When I lived in Chicago I was close to this gem. Open every day and stays open late (unless Covid changed the hrs). I can't even begin to explain how good this place is. Each day there is a new daily special. Chicken pitas are 🔥. Hot dogs and burgers are good. You can't beat their gyro plate and you can't beat the amount of food you get for the price.

Mike has been there since the Acropolis! Go there! A huge menu to choose from. Ribs. Chicken. Beef. The boys there are awesome! They work hard for their customers.

The food was alright but the atmosphere is very welcoming. Burgers could be bigger and not so thin and the hotdogs were not the best but alright. Had a good time tho.

To night my kids placed a order for me because I was in the hospital well I ordered half of chicken with rice garlic bread I RECEIVED 2 Large fries 🍟 and double cheeses burger when I call ☎️ to tell them the man said NOT NOW !!! PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 15 mins I hung up and kept call back from different numbers they put the voicemail on ...POOR POOR EXPERIENCE...I have eaten for here many of time this has never happened to me food is Great service 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
