Stopped here on a 10 hour roadtrip in desperate need of a good meal. It was everything we were wanting, it felt like a home cooked meal. We got the spaghetti and meatballs and the pizza sandwich. Both were delicious and incredibly filling. We got a cannoli as well and they brought it out when we were closer to the end of our meal. Overall, a great experience and if I’m ever in this city again I’ll come eat here!

Heading through BR and looked online for a lunch spot....something quick, tasty and not a chain. Sought this place out because of its great reviews and did not disappoint!!!

Best muffaleta I’ve had in a long time.

Absolutely the best muffoletta in all of Louisiana... even better than Central Grocery in NOLA. What sets Anthony's muffoletta from the rest is that you can get it "hot" which makes all the difference in the world. With the cheese melted, this sandwich is outstanding. Take it from a New Orleanian who's had my fair share of muffolettas throughout Louisiana, you will not regret a hot, toasty muffoletta from Anthony's Italian Deli! If muffolettas aren't your thing, their meatball poboys are freaking awesome as well.

Everything I have had is good. Favorite is the meatballs and sauce.

This quaint little deli has the most delicious food. I ordered the lunch lasagna and it was some of the best I'd ever eaten. Kudos to the chef.

On 18 May, a friend of mine and I decided to drive eight hours to Baton Rouge Louisiana for muffuletta sandwich from Anthony‘s as per the reviews. We decided this would be the best place to eat A muffuletta sandwich. We placed the order with a very friendly hostess. Once we received our food, an older lady perceived to be the owner, asked us to please go outside with our food with our service dogs. I informed her I have severe injuries and must have a service dog with me at all times in case I have an episode, Without going into details of my Medical conditions. I reluctantly complied and took my food outside with my dog. The friendly hostess brought me a dessert in apology for the inconvenience, I don’t eat sugar products at all due to my medical conditions, It was a friendly gesture. The sandwich was absolutely amazing. You could not have a butter muffaletta sandwich then what Anthony sells. However, I digress. To send me outside with a service animal in which I did show them my ID badge for myself and the dog. This is a violation of federal law. As per federal law organizations, the serve the public generally must allow serves animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is normally allowed to go. I am writing this review to inform any disabled people that want to visit this restaurant to know that you’re going to be asked to b seated outside, And she was extremely insistent. I only complied as to not cause a disturbance with the existing patrons in the restaurant. My attorney has been notified and I’m waiting for further advice as to how to handle this situation. I served our country for 22 years as an Army ranger to be sent outside with my service dog to eat. I do, however, recommend this restaurant for the best Muffuletta you’ll ever eat.

This place is so cute and the food is amazing. I got the Godfather and it was so good. My friend and I are visiting from out of town but if I lived here i’d come at least once a week.

Why have I never been to this place!? I've been in Baton Rouge for years and have never heard of it. Amazing Italian food!!! Atmosphere!!! Service!!! Family!!! Wow!!

You don’t need atmosphere when the food is this good!!! The muffaletta was better than I had in NOLA.

We ordered a muffaleta today for take out. It was the worst muffaleta that I've ever had. The sandwich was only about a 1/2 inch thick with 2 very thin slices of ham and 1 thin slice of salami. There was hardly any olive spread on the sandwich. The only good thing was that sandwich was hot. I will not order from here again

I ordered two orders of spaghetti and meatballs which totaled to around $38. And, upon picking up the orders, I was met with a rude demeanor presented by one of the personnel there, specifically the head waitress who gave me my order

Ordered online a kid’s spaghetti with meatball, also ordered an extra meatball with extra sauce. When I arrived home (10mins) the bag burst open with all the contents falling out and to the floor. Clearly, it wasn’t bagged correctly. The worst part, is the customer service I received when I called the deli. Immediately, the owner became defensive and accused my son of carrying the bag side ways. The spill sauce was soaked through the bottom of the bag not the side (see pictures). Meaning the bag was carried correctly but sauce at the bottom of the bag caused it to tear and all dropped contents were spilled. He became so defensive without listening to my rationale that I just said thank you and disconnected the call. Owner has bad customer services, not listening to the customer and not taking responsibility. More customers should be more candid when giving reviews. I will find a better deli.

Best Muffaletta I have EVER had. This authentic long time family-owned Italian Deli is the real deal! 🇮🇹✨ I look forward to their other menu items. Such as their poboy sandwiches and lasagna! Really wish I got to experience this place back when it was on Florida Blvd.

I ordered the lasagna and it was swimming in tangy sauce. Very little meat and flavorless. It's a very clean place and staff was very friendly and inviting. I was told that the muffaletta was to die for. I must try it. I'll give them another try.

I was so excited to try the muffaletta from Anthony's Deli ,that I asked my niece who goes to LSU if she would pick 2 whole muffalettas one for my husband and I and one for her. I spent $43.96 and these were the muffaletta's I got. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I have never gotten a muffaletta this thin in my life especially for the $ spent

Great Italian deli with the perfect Muffoletta! Family owned and run! All old world recipes!

I was new to Anthony’s, but had heard wonderful things. I had their muffaletta- AMAZING! Not all the heavy bread like I’ve had before. Excellent meats, cheeses, olive dressing, and bread!!!! I took advantage of their take and bake- bringing home two lasagna’s and an eggplant parm, plus three desserts. The limoncello was extraordinary! My new favorite place!

Authentic Italian deli. Great food, great people, great service. Anthony's has been serving Baton Rouge great food for as long as I can remember, and I remember eating the same muffalatta at the original Anthony's on Florida Blvd two decades ago.

Tried Anthony’s for the first time. Not a place I’ll go back to for a couple of reasons. First of all the staff was pleasant and the salad was very good. However the muffuletta was not a bad sandwich but not like any Muffuletta I’ve ever had. It was heated in a sandwich press and the bread toasted, the cheese melted. Oh well that’s a matter of taste, but the reason I’ll not return is the employee carrying a gun. I’m not anti-gun, but having an armed staff member is not necessary and potentially dangerous. Maybe he is an off duty police officer, but assuming he’s not… I’ll not be back.

My wife has been raving about this place. Finally got to go and didn't disappoint at all. The lasagna was amazing her sandwich was amazing. I will definitely be going back. Little small is the only thing, be prepared to take it to-go.

Nice Italian deli and a muffaletta was in order in a panini style. It was delicious and was heated enough so cheese was melted. Outdoor seating also. One entrance and exit to parking lot.

My daughter & I ate here back in March prior to a LSU-Central Arkansas Baseball game I was working that night. A friend of mine brought me here, & this was the best deli I’ve ever eaten at. I love the family owned & operated aspect, & I love the atmosphere of the deli & Italian market. The sandwiches were fantastic, & it was nice to be in a place where they not only care about their regulars, but their new customers as well. If I ever make it back to Baton Rouge, this will easily be one place I make a point to eat at once again!

Love this place not only do we get to eat their we also get to take home fresh cut mordello and my favorite the pepper shooters. There is much more available to shop for. The place is small quaint and definitely like a family .

I visited this hideaway restaurant for the first time two weeks ago. I have been there three time since! The entrees are delicious and the service is very swift!
