Use to be better, quality is slipping, cake itself tastes just OK.

We had a wonderful experience with Artisan Bake Shop and Meredith for our wedding this past May and would highly recommend them!! My sister also used them for her wedding the year before and all the desserts were a big hit at both weddings. We had a small cutting cake and a dessert table, and everything was absolutely delicious and looked beautiful too. Meredith asked us which guests had allergies prior to the wedding and made specialized desserts that were delivered to their tables. Before the wedding we ordered tasting boxes for the cake and desserts, it was fun to try everything and pick our favorites for the wedding! We can’t wait for our anniversary cake next year!

Meredith was great to work with. She took my idea and brought it to life for our big day. Our guest are still raving over the cupcakes. Thank you so much for the extra little cake. :)

Meredith was so great to work with for our June 2024 wedding! We booked 8 months prior to our event after trying all the delicious goodies in the tasting box. Our final design meeting a few months before the wedding was easy and we got some free leftover treats to take home. The dessert table was beautiful and guests raved anout it! At least two people said they were the best chocolate chip cookies they’ve ever had. My personal favorite was the key lime cups. My husband and I fed each other cake pops instead of cutting a cake. Our guests with dietary restrictions really appreciated their personalized cupcake boxes so they could safely enjoy dessert! I loved that we could rent the display stands for a small fee so it was one less decor thing to think about, and return was easy as well.

This cake was GORGEOUS, so scrumptious, and so lovely! The service at this shop is impeccable; they were flexible with our time for picking it up and were so willing to help us out with our order. We truly loved our cake! Thank you so so so much! I highly recommend! What an amazing shop!

I inquired about having our wedding cake done with Artisan Bake Shop. From the time I looked through the website, to sending in the deposit to secure our wedding day, the entire process was seamless. Meredith has been so lovely to be in contact with AND she is SO well organized. I am impressed with the tiny details she has thought of, the instructions on exactly how to go from tasting to making a deposit for the date, and everything in between. She has been kind, responsive, and very helpful in making decisions based off of her expertise! The cake tasting box was delicious, and it came with instructions on potential pairings, a note sheet, and instructions on next steps if we wanted to move forward- when I picked it up, she described everything to me and had the biggest smile on her face. She truly enjoys what she does and it radiates! She is knowledgeable about food allergies and goes above and beyond for her clients when it comes to ensuring safety. She also responded to my initial inquiry by letting me know she would reach out to me if she hadn’t heard back since she knows how busy wedding planning can get- it is so lovely to not have to think or remember even just a few things throughout this process! Needless to say, we picked her and the shop to create our wedding cake and are so excited for our final design appointment.

Honestly couldn’t be more happy with my wedding cake! It was exactly what I wanted and more. The communication was amazing and im going to forever cherish my cake!

We do not have enough good things to say about Meredith and her team at the Artisan Bake Shop. Our cake testing was by far one of the best experiences of our wedding planning process. Never mind how delicious and beautiful our cake, desserts, and displays were! This bakeshop is outstanding at what they do! 100% recommend!!!

We cannot thank Artisan Bake Shop enough for the amazing wedding cake and dessert bar at our perfect coastal wedding. We live in Buzzards Bay and frequent the shop for celebration cakes, party treats and brunch items. Everything is always so fresh and absolutely delicious! We knew right away we needed to use Artisan for our wedding dessert. Meredith was wonderful to work with start to finish. I was able to share images of inspiration and details about our day. We sampled the most delicious cake combinations and although it was a difficult decision, we picked our favorite combo, as well as Key Lime mini pies, classic whoopie pies and cider donuts (fall wedding). I also love and appreciate a woman run business, as well as a organized business owner. Meredith is so organized! Every detail is clearly laid out for you. She and Tabitha even set everything up that day of and it was perfect! Our guests loved it and we love it! Thank you for making our wedding day so special. We cannot wait for our mini anniversary cake next year!

Absolutely LOVED my wedding cake from Artisans Bake Shop in Rochester, MA. I had ordered just a small one tier 8-inch round and gave them some inspiration pictures to work off. I had one of my bridal party members pick up the cake and bring it to the venue with them. I honestly had not seen it till the wedding when it was sitting there on the stand at the reception. I was smiling from ear to ear and was so in love with how it came out. Not only was it perfect on the outside, but it also tasted amazing too! We had a red velvet cake with a cream cheese frosting, and it will be one of my most favorite pieces of the day. Thank you all!

I called this bakery for the first time to ask some questions before ordering a birthday cake. The women I spoke to was VERY short and cut me off directing me to look at the website. She didn't even allow me to ask a question. She sounded annoyed as soon as she answered the phone. I believe I was speaking to the owner. She should take some customer service classes. Poor poor customer service. I also noticed that some of her FAQ answers and IG post are passive aggressive and unprofessional! I will NEVER order from this bakery!!

I asked for a whacky cake for a whacky group!!! And thats exactly what I got! It was spectacular!

We used Artisan Bake Shop for our wedding shower & wedding. For our wedding shower, Meredith & her team whipped together a cake in a weeks notice. You never would’ve known, because the details of the cake were so beautiful. It tasted even more amazing! For our wedding we did a 2 tier cake, kitchen cake & multiple cupcakes options. Everything was to die for! The cake absolutely exceeded my expectations. Meredith & her team brought my vision to life & it was beautiful beyond words. I can’t thank them enough for helping to make our day so perfect. We can’t wait to work with them again!! 🤍🤍

Our favorite bakery by far. They have done all our custom cakes for birthdays and showers. Not only is the decorating amazing but the cake is too. They have amazing desserts for all occasions.

We could not have made a better choice. The cake was beautiful and delicious and everyone loved the dessert bar. There were so many great choices but Meredith was so helpful and made it easy to figure out. You'll have a sugar high after your tasting. That was lots of fun too!

Meredith is one of the most warm, kind, talented people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with! She made the entire process easy as cake! (sorry, I couldn't resist) Seriously, Meredith helped us navigate decorating the tables, to choosing the right combo of styles for adventurous and boring, and even made recommendations that fit with our theme (S'mores cupcakes UM YES!) She also helped us stay in our cake budget, which we didn't even know where to start with! Our wedding cake was also SO delicious that after we did our picture moment of cake cutting, I walked around and fork fed my family bites. Literally the best cake I have EVER had. Artisan Bake Shop has the best desserts ever! I used them for my bridal shower and my wedding. I would highly recommend them for any event! They are so talented and made exactly what I had envisioned!!

We ordered a baby shower cake and it was so beautiful and tasted so AMAZING! It’s so gorgeous to cut into all the layers! The owner knows how to take your idea and make it into a work of art! Her attention to detail shows throughout! This was the best cake I’ve ever had! The guests had so many compliments! The chocolate and yellow cake was heavenly delicious and the buttercream frosting was the best! If you are looking for a cake to wow your guests this is the place to go! Very professional and reasonable.

My wife and I went here for our wedding cake. The team partnered with our coordinator and florist to match it all up. Most importantly, all the cake was eaten. It was GLUTEN FREE and none of our guests noticed before we told them. Some of the best gluten free cake we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend!

I sent the shop a picture of my baby shower invitation and let them design the cake from there. It could not have been any more perfect! Everyone loved it and I received so many compliments. Ordered my daughter’s First Communion cake through Meredith at the Artisan Bake Shop. She was very friendly and thoroughly explained the ordering process, sizes, etc. Her bake shop smells heavenly by the way. Our cake came out fantastic and everyone kept asking where we got it from. Artisan Bake Shop made my wedding cake. They went above and beyond our expectations of what we wanted our wedding cake to look like. It looked amazing and tasted delicious!

I called and explained that I didn't Need both of the pies I originally Oredered, and was not penalized for the alteration of my order. When I got tho my dinner party, the pie was hands down the desert most disired item, it was delicious.

I ordered two pies but had two cancel one at time of pickup, there was not problem much to my surprise. When I arrived at the dinner party the pie was the hit of all the desserts, hands down. I found a new home run.

We have bought multiple cakes from this Bakery. They have always been amazing in looks and taste! They offer gluten-free options which is great because we do have an allergy in our family. I was very surprised when the gluten-free cake tasted like a regular cake! I literally have my sons 2 year old birthday cake in my backseat at this moment and they did another amazing job. They made us an amazing gluten free cake. It was great and our little guy ate it up!

My husband and I used Artisan for our wedding on June 3. The minute we met with Meredith we knew from the start she was the one who we wanted to design our cake and cupcakes. She has you go in for a tasting and while you try her many amazing options she also helps you design your dream cake. We decided to do a two tier carrot cake with 200 cupcakes, half vanilla and half chocolate. She narrowed down the design we wanted and we immediately fell in love. We had one special request and that was that our puppy Winston who is a Boston Terrier be peeking from behind the cake. Let me tell you when I saw the cupcake display and the cake I lost it. It was absolutely everything my husband and I envisioned and our guests still are talking about how amazing the cupcakes were and how beautifully everything was displayed, most people even had more than one because they were so good! If you are looking for someone who can make your every dream come true for your cake, cupcakes or desserts I would only suggest you use Meredith from Artisan!!!

Let me start by saying I'm a cupcake/cake connoisseur (lol). Every time I travel I love to try different bakeries.New york, boston, Florida, vermont, Washington and R.I and let me say, NOTHING compares to artisan's buttercream! No one comes close! I have an addiction to it! It also helps that the staff is super sweet. My favorite bakery hands down. Thank you for always making delicious treats.

Every time I need a cake I am always impressed. She has done my wedding cake as well as some birthday cakes over the years. I would never go anywhere else. Not only do they look amazing the cake is always moist and tasty. She also has endless options for flavor combos. A tier of my wedding cake was pink lemonade!!! It was such a hit with everyone!!

The cupcakes were delicious as were all the items we ordered for our next day brunch. Amazing quiches and pastries. A pleasure to work with!
