Didn’t eat there. Got take out and the food was honestly terrible. The “crab” Rangoon was basically just cold cream cheese. The rolls were poorly rolled and mostly fake crab and cucumber. The hand roll was barely together and there was only one fortune cookie with no fortune in it! Hahaha

My all time favorite sushi in the area with a great staff, and great sushi for a great price! HIGHLY recommend!

It was a very quiet start to the night when I actually arrived rather early @5:00 pm. Despite yes it was a great day outside and it was very dark in the restaurant. Get extra bonus points are there wonderful choice of music which was high-end luxury jazz echoed of a bistro. This could have been a restaurant experience where if the server suggested I would have ordered it there's a lot on the menu they have a sushi bar. I asked about the Asian pancake appetizer but it really wasn't clear on exactly what it was, even after asking the question. Shrimp and lobster sauce was delicious. I ordered hot tea 🍵 very nice outside. I would have liked to have been offered some honey or sugar but that didn't come. It's pretty busy for takeout here.

ive ordered here in the past multiple times with no issues but i just spent $54 with tip that I'll never get back so i just wanted to say this for the owners: if the chicken is dry cause it's been in the fridge too long, don't sell it. don't cook it in sauce and try to make me eat it. i threw away a whole sesame chicken entree because it was worse than the creaky chicken, which was also very dry and tough. but don't break the trust, please.. now look at us: hurt and im afraid to trust. idk if ill be able to trust like that ever again. nobody wins. it's unfortunate and it just hurts us both. im sorry, but im just not ready and it's going to take a long time to build back the trust that ive lost. my qualifiers is that i eat gas station food and im not a picky eater nor am i a complainer. $54 like i coulda gone to the water pump place. i fr wish i ate cheese and triscuits for dinner. ngl, cheese and triscuits never did me wrong. it was good while it lasted. no regrets, except the $54 i just spent. but ill be okay. now ill just drive through the rotary like "they used to have creaky chicken there, but they changed".. idk what i paid for, but that's not the AB that i know.. that's somebody else, now..

Wow! When the dishes arrive and they look good, smell good and you already feel that it's a good choice, that's a good sign! No disappointment after the first bite...and you'll have plenty as the portions are no jokes . We chose the creaky chicken, Tso chicken and sesame beef, Yume 😉 The place is huge (high ceiling), service is friendly and fast. Try it, you'll come back for sure!

Food was good. Sushi was fresh. Tofu was flavorful. Food came out fast.

I'm baffled by the negative reviews, honestly; I eat here at least once a month and I have had nothing but tasty food and reasonably quick service. (I mostly get sushi but I've enjoyed their dinner combos at times.) Edit: to clarify I have been to EVERY sushi restaurant in Chittenden county. This is not the place to complain about certain of them but I will never go to any other sushi restaurant here again.

asian bistro has such a special place in my heart!! the staff are SO friendly and the menu is well-rounded with so many great options to choose from. my favorites are the chicken lo mein and the general tso’s chicken — i love the green bell pepper and onions in the general tso’s!! so happy to support such a kind group of people and delicious food :)

I get takeout here and was pretty disappointed with the beef and broccoli I ordered. Next time I’m sticking to the fried rice

Food all had a fishy taste. The fried rice was bland, not good. Actually everything was not tasting good. Sorry, I can’t recommend this place.

I got the sesame chicken a week ago and it was subpar. I went back to get the same thing but I wanted to try something else so I went with beef and broccoli to go. The meat was slimy and gross, not cooked thoroughly. It’s a nice establishment but what I got was nothing edible. Will not be coming back.

I order wings here all the time from DoorDash and they used to be really good. They were juicy and had good flavor and I order the same wings every time but lately they have been absolutely inedible. I keep trying because I think it's only Mondays that they're bad. But I've also called the store and ask to speak to a manager and they continuously tell me there isn't one on multiple occasions I work at a wing joint and when people ask me where else can I get good wings? I used to suggest there but I'm so disappointed. It's very frustrating because I don't know where to get wings anymore. On top of that their menu has been adjusted on DoorDash and other sites where pretty much you can only get wings. I called and asked if they didn't have them anymore and they said no they do and they would mention it to their boss again and again it has not changed. It has been weeks and I have continuously stupidly ordered wings from there. The same flavor every time and they've been burnt to a crisp with no flavor and no sauce at all. I don't really understand. I don't order them crispy. I don't order them dry. I don't get it and no managers ever gotten back to me. Even left my name and number with somebody. Doordash won't give me my money back and I have lost so much money on five dozen wings multiple times. Yes that is my stupidity but again like I said I've called to ask for someone that can fix this problem for me or make me feel better about ordering wings and suggesting to other people that they do as well.

Food was greasy and tasteless. Had the pad see ew and the noodles were all stuck together in massive chunks and the entire dish was dripping. Very bland and although you could see different ingredients, everything tasted the same. If you’re from Vermont, you might like it, otherwise I would avoid it.

I never ever leave bad reviews but it was cold, we were missing items, and is was disgusting and flavorless. No spice or salt or flavor.

To preface this review, I work at a local sushi restaurant. I ordered sushi takeaway and the crab meat was completely rotten. Not even just turning bad, but rancid. Crab meat when fresh (and fried) is entirely white. What I received was crab tempura that was graying, soggy, wet and cold. This is unsafe to eat and overall really disappointing. How anyone thought it would be okay to serve this is really beyond me. The entire crab tempura in the spider roll was brown and gray like in the picture.

Excellent food and service. Place feels rundown. Great for everyone getting something different and sharing.

Spare yourself and please don’t eat here. Horrible service. You won’t even be hungry by the time the food arrives as it takes well over an hour. This place is honestly a joke of a restaurant

Delicious food, good sushi, and exceptional variety. Staff is curt, the dining in atmosphere is not for everyone.

Very delicious food! A quick word of warning, even there largest sushi and sashimi platter was not "filling" enough to satisfy the hunger of two people -- and this was after already having had a miso soup and house salad beforehand. We had to order two extra rolls in addition to their largest sushi and sashimi platter, and still had room for dessert afterwards -- the fried ice cream, which was fantastic! Service was excellent! So, while this may not be as filling as an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, the quality is top notch nonetheless. Will definitely call back and try to find the right combination of choices to walk out with a full stomach.

They remember us and our food orders every time. Fast polite and friendly service. Great sushi for a landlocked state. This review is specifically for the Winooski branch (the better one). We love the shrimp fried rice and the sweetheart roll. Consistent high quality food at a reasonable price.

This place is really gone downhill. My boyfriend and I went for dinner on Friday and it was awful. The dumplings were still frozen in the middle, the Hot and sour soup was cold plus it was congealed! So gross. We ordered ginger chicken for our main entrée and it tasted really funky and it smelled very strange as well. Needless to say, we didn’t really eat our meal and left very unsatisfied. We also waited over an hour and a half just to get our food. They seem to cater to those for takeout. It would probably be a good idea if they acknowledge their customers that were actually in the restaurant as well. The waitress was also rude. We will not be back here.

This place is gross. Table is greasy. Can’t imagine what the kitchen is like. Also the rice tastes terrible and got so many hard bits in it, not eatable. Will not return.

Love the sushi, very fair prices especially for the Lo Mein and other entrées. Entrée portions are huge. Have gotten take out and dined in the restaurant many times. Take out may include a small fee. Portions are bigger when dining in. They package take out orders very nicely. Online ordering works well. You may have to wait a bit for your take out around dinner time. Service is friendly but it falters a bit when it’s super busy- we all get a little stressed when it’s busy so be patient! Drinks are strong and fairly priced. Not too busy around lunch time.

Server doesn’t understand what we order. We were brought the wrong item the first time and charged for it because she told us we ordered it. We ordered the saba sashimi again and got salmon. When we returned it it took her 10 mins to tell us it would be a few more minutes. By then we were done with our meal and this restaurant. Never again. We liked it the 1st time we came over a year ago. It’s been downhill ever since.

I wanted to write a nice review about Asian Bistro before we moved away. We have eaten here MANY times before and had food delivered to us many times as well. They are all so friendly! Great customer service. Delicious and authentic Asian food! I highly recommend their General Tso's Chicken. We get it everytime because it's just SO GOOD. Their sushi is amazing as well! So fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very nice and clean. Great atmosphere and a fun experience! The waiters/waitresses, chefs, and the delivery people are all so kind and accommodating! We have had so many good experiences here. Their delivery service is very fast and thorough. Thank you so much everyone at Asian Bistro! Your service and your wonderful food will be missed by our family. 😊

It was ok. Shrimp and vegetable tempura was greasy and wasnt tempura. The sushi was ok. The Mongolian beef was pretty good. Not sure we'll return for sushi but maybe for the Chinese food.

My husband and I ate here for 4th of July. Worst crab rangoon and the shrimp def was not handled properly as i got food poisoning from the kungpao shrimp. I will never eat here again.

The menu looked great so I was excited to try some seafood dishes. Actually the spring rolls and shrimp roll were good and crunchy and the drink was tasty even though we had ordered 2 of the same drink and they came to the table looking very different. The place is a little run down and dusty but with lack of help I am sympathetic, places trying to do what they can to stay open. Unfortunately, the scallops in my dish tasted like cleaning fluid which I know means they are no good. My husbands sushi was good he said but not exceptional. Only so much you can do with raw fish as far as I’m concerned but the young man making it was quick and efficient, he was right nearby so I could see him work. The waitress took half of my meal price off the tab and we left okay with the experience.

I was disappointed by this place. It gets 3 stars because the Chinese food was good, not great, but good. Don't order the sushi. I ordered 1 roll and feared for my own health for days. I have to stop ordering sushi in Burlington. That's my own fault for thinking there would be fresh fish here. The staff was terrible. They don't need more, they just need to be better managed. They do a brisk take out business and the staff is WAY more concerned with that than taking care of the customers in the building. Got the impression they had 1 very overworked cook.

wontons were not yum there was no crab in the crab rangoon seaweed was an odd texture and the rice had a weird flavor please do not come here i’m begging you save yourself i should have read the reviews but i’m a dum dum i literally opened ever crab rangoon and did not find one piece of crab also service is not good

It started off with finding a piece of gum stuck to the bottom of my soup cup...not mine! The spring roll was good but the cashew chicken was subpar. I won't be back.

I tried this place three times hoping it would be better each time but the food is always luke warm and greasy… just not good. I can not recommend this place at all.

Went here because I love some sushi but this was not it. The miso, bland, the sushi was mediocre at best. The plates came out dirty, the waitress was not in the mood, and on top of everything, my card was charged in a different state 10 min after paying for my food. It was definately skimmed here. I hope anyone that decides to still come to be careful and use cash.

My favorite restaurant. Eat in or take out the food is always fantastic. I highly recommend the pineapple fried rice, champy roll and crabmeat wonton.

Best sushi I had in a LONG time.

They have great food however I decided to order for delivery this time around only to have my order canceled on me after spending almost 30 dollars apparently I live to far away for delivery (I'm 13 minutes away) and most other restaurants deliver further then that for example applebees which is in south Burlington and I am in colchester the end closest to Burlington they should include how far out they deliver on their website so ppl dont get disappointed like I did..13 minutes really isnt that far away.

Sushi was OK, service was OK, server was pushy and short. Took over an hour for the chef to make 6 rolls. Mai tai's came out without the dark rum, had to send the drinks back to fix them. Seaweed salad tasted old and stale. Rolls were small, overall we will prolly not go back to this location.

I've tried this place a few times now. It's decent but I've been underwhelmed by the flavor/spicing each time. I've found myself adding sauce and spices at home since I'm someone who likes my food heavily spiced and very flavorful. Might be a good option for those that like less spiced food though.

This is my favorite Asian restaurant in Chittenden County. The fish was perfectly trimmed and high quality, and at terrific prices. I haven't seen Naruto rolls elsewhere in VT, and their cucumber wrapped rainbow roll is my new favorite. They were able to be speedy for dine-in when we asked which was great. Staff were very attentive but unobtrusive. Indoor decor was lovely and modern, outdoor seating area was shaded and welcoming. Highly recommended as a drop in while shopping or going to an appointment nearby with convenient location just off the rotary.

Been to every Chinese cuisine place in Chittenden county. This place has the best wok hei flavor & wok cooking of them all. They really know how to heat that wok very hot in order to impart that stir fry essence to the meat & veggies. If you like smoky stir fry, try the Mongolian beef.

Food was really good, and waitress very friendly and nice.

They have a nice blend of sushi and more traditional Thai style dishes. Good value for the money too, you can get a normal entree size meal for around $8-9. Pad Thai was solid and the spring rolls and inari was good as well.

my sushi was tasteless. my Phad thai noodles were overcooked to mush. so disappointing. the chicken tenders are great. I spent 88 dollars for chicken tenders. Won't be returning. Consider elsewhere

I haven't tried a lot of dishes here as they don't have many vegetarian options, which is odd for an Asian place. We have been there several times and ordered the veg sushi plate, which was pretty good but certainly nothing to write home about.

Due to Covid19 they help me more than anything and for my family. The food was amazing a big thank you to the chefs money worth spent. 😁🦘

Walking into place was nice and clean. The menu is large and has a variety of items. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are a good size. Reason I gave it only a three star was. The salad was warm and the dressing was not good. The miso soup was cold. I ordered sushi wish was warm fish. Made me nervous. But it was good. My girlfriend shrimp dish was delicious. The shrimp was big and cooked perfect. My only other complaint was the service. No detail to the correct order and slow. My sushi sat on the counter for way to long. In the end I would go back.

Finding fresh, excellent sushi and sashimi in landlocked Vermont and in tiny downtown Winooski no less, is certainly worth five stars to me! Wonderful service and ambiance as well.

I love this restaurant! Food is very good, and if you do happen to get something that is not ok, they are excellent about fixing or replacing it. The staff is great and friendly, but sometimes reserved, which some might take as not friendly. I have lived less than a block away for over 11 years, and go there a couple of times a month. Prompt service and friendly staff.

Another snowy Vermont night. Got take out from Asian Bistro. Ready in 20 min. Always is good either take out or eat in. They have a lot of variety from sushi to stir fry. The food tastes good. We try different things and always satisfied. One favorite is the sweet heart roll.
