Wow, we were blown away with the value, yumminess and service. We just spent the same money at a resort to buy inedible breakfast sandwiches and the contrast is amazing. The Club and Philly were delicious along with the included chicken noodle and navy bean soups. Then topped it with a shared scoop of the richest French Vanilla ice cream we’ve tasted. Eat here instead of the resorts and chains!!! We will be back!

It's not your typical place, but that's what makes it good. The staff is excellent! You always get a lot for your money here!

Very terrible, i’ve been a regular coming here for years now and I’m just absolutely disappointed I will not be back. Me and my friend both ordered the homestyle skillet and it came out with hair all over it and was very cold. We notified our waitress in a respectful manner and asked if we could order something else instead. Our waitress said no problem with a smile and took back the food to the kitchen then came out to take our new order. Our new food came out and it was fine we were satisfied but what we weren’t satisfied with was when we got the bill. They had charged us for the food not only that we re-ordered but the food they took back. I asked a manager why they charge just for food we did not eat and she refused to take it off. She tried to compromise and say she would only take one of the meals we did not eat off. I was not going to cause a scene but I will definitely leave this Google review. Very disappointing this is not the first bad experience I’ve had with food but this is definitely the first bad experience I’ve had with customer service I would not recommend coming here there are many nicer places for the same price to go eat and other places in North Fort Myers this place is not worth your time gas or money.

One of the worst house experiences I've ever received, at first the food was terrible so I asked to have a replacement meal and they said no problem and continue to charge me for both meals. The Greek salad had no dressing and no cheese, so I asked for both and they charged me 2 dollars extra for both, and they charged me another 2 dollars for some skinny lemons. Then the size of their salads and desserts were way to small to be charged for.

Very terrible customer service did not feel welcomed at all asked for extra lemons and was charged extra the owner purposely skimps and gives you smaller portions than what you paid for so when you ask for extra they charge even more they are greedy and money hungry and they do not meet hygienic standards they have had many health inspection issues and I would not recommend coming here to anybody, there are so many better near by options. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves to feel comfortable serving the food they serve at the standard it is held they reconsider owning a restaurant because I would not call this place that you're better off going to McDonald's

I had a very terrible experience here went to the restroom and there were roaches crawling around everywhere. I was served dishes that had dried up food stains on them, and I ordered a salad and the lettuce was brown and soggy when I asked for something else the owner refused, she also charged me for extra lemons. You’re better off going to McDonald’s although if you’re looking for a dine in experience there are many places nearby that are way more better and reasonably priced!! So many more places The Greek food here is not even Greek food. It’s like fast food Nothing about it is authentic, Hopefully you don’t catch food poisoning. she will purposely skimp you to charge you more money when you ask for a little extra. She is as crooked as someone can get!

Well , the rolls were really good. Nothing was delicious I have never gotten my entree delivered to my table cut in half ! Maybe the cook needed lunch ! I think it was a frozen product and the wallpaper paste gravy was from a can . Oh well ..live and learn Try anything once

If you like mom and pop restaurants, then this one absolutely takes the cake!! This adorable, incredibly clean, family owned restaurant is just a little hidden treasure! Our food was delicious, and I was thrilled to see the selection of authentic Greek dishes on the menu. I had the spinach pie. It was fantastic. I would give them 10 stars if I could and Vivian is just the absolute best!! Definitely stop by and check this place out.

Their Greek gyros were delicious. As was their spanakopita. But they also have a full American menu. If you can't find something to eat here you won't get it anywhere.

I have been coming here for years, mostly with coworkers for lunch. I don't know why I never took the time to review before. I had to now This place has the best fried grouper anywhere. I have been to high end seafood restaurants and they can't hold a candle to this place. I always enjoy the Greek salad the dressing is delicious. Pea soup is so good and now I go with my family and we enjoy it every time.

This is a nice large scale type diner frequented by locals in North Ft Myers. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner. We split a Philly beefsteak sandwich,$11.95 plus $2 split charge. It came with fries and a cup of soup. It was plenty for two 70 year olds . The fries soup and sandwich were good. I have had better( and worse). The restaurant was clean, and service very acceptable. It is run by a Greek family. But the menu has a little bit of everything.

Recommended by a stranger. Wife and I got fish special. Came with fresh roll, cup of soup and Greek salad. I think it was $14 each. Food was delicious and made from scratch. We finished with baklava for dessert and rice pudding. Rice pudding was included. So good. The baklava was out of this world. So glad we went there on stranger's recommendation. Will definitely go again and again.

Always an excellent deal for the amount of food provided...and it's good! Love these friendly ladies who run the show. Been going there for family gatherings for breakfast, lunch and dinner since I don't remember when.

It’s decent for a diner. I’ve tasted real and delicious Greek food in my lifetime. This dinner is not real Greek and it’s only mediocre. The service was good and timely the atmosphere is pleasantly mild. Two gyro platters were soup, salad, side vegetable, roll, dessert and tea $42.00 then add your tip.

Great discovery of a local old style Florida restaurant with extensive Greek options. And one of my favorite liver and onions! Recommend this and the Greek chicken salad. Good prices and service.

Cheryl did an excellent job of waiting on us. Food was brought out hot instead of waiting on under the lights. My wife, especially enjoyed her vegetarian omelette. If you’re looking for a restaurant that you can actually speak to the person next to you without yelling this is the one.

Found a great breakfast spot traveling through town. It was your standard bacon, eggs & toast plate of which I opted out of the starchier sides of grits or hash browns for 3 perfectly ripe slices of tomato.eggs cooked exactly as I asked, the rye toast : the star (just loved the buttery crispness!) NO wait time & prices worth the visit..It was served with a smile **highly recommend**

I went for an early dinner and had the stuffed cabbage. Two huge portions! It was good. Had salad and mashed potatoes with gravy. I got an order of rice pudding for dessert to go.

Had a BLT. Literally 3 thinest pieces of bacon, I have ever seen. Showed the waitress who showed the cook. Cook said that is how I make it. It was literally a lettus sandwich. We will never go back. Boyfriend had the Meatloaf, looked and smelled like dog food!

Really disappointed with the quality of the cooking. You can tell they used bagged frozen vegetables and that the cook is probably from the trailer park across the street with no knowledge of Greek cooking at all. Their menu consists of mostly American food (burgers and such) and quite a large American breakfast menu. Just a small handful of Greek menu items. The lighting in there is way too bright. They use cool white bulbs in the whole place, making it feel like an office. No Mediterranean feel at all. Seems they cater to old folks. This place needs some help from a professional if they want to last.

First time at our new find. Almost authentic Greek food. We tried the club deckers in grilled chicken and the split pea soup. Both items were light and flavourful. Customer service was good. The menu offers a lot more which we would try next time for sure. All in all a good find, we enjoyed our palate.

We were a party of 5 and 2 people ordered the Greek sampler. 1 persons platter was fresh while the other was sour the chicken cordon Bleu tasted raw and the spanikopata was dried out. The only person who had a half way decent platter was the gyro platter. The waitress took the sour food to the kitchen and never acknowledged it. Will never go back

I say 'Almost' only because they do not have gyro meat that they cut off of a spit which was a total surprise, but the rest of the food we've had there has been very good. On our first visit I had the Gyro Plate with a baked potato side. Entrees here include a soup AND a salad AND a desert - what a surprise. I opted for the Egg Drop Soup. The soup was one of the best I've had. Not as thick and eggy as many oriental restaurants, with large pieces of green pepper in it - very tasty. I then had a side Greek salad which I really enjoyed. Crisp lettuce, topped with cucumber, olives, feta cheese crumbles and onions, dressed with creamy Greek dressing. My gyro plate came out with a very tasty and soft pita with a plentiful amount of gyro meat topped with shredded lettuce, diced tomato and onion accompanied by a container of wonderful tzatziki cucumber sauce. The gyro meat was cut fairly thin and probably heated on the flat top. It lacked the good garlicky, lamb and beef flavor that I was hoping for, but I ate it. I think my baked potato had been baked much earlier in the day as it was a bit dry and not very warm. Sour cream and butter accompanied the potato. My wife had the Large Greek Salad With Gyro Meat. A good amount of crisp lettuce topped with cucumber, olives, onions, feta cheese, quite a bit of the somewhat flavorless imposter gyro meat, warm and tasty pita bread triangles and a bowl of greek dressing. The salad plate also included one tasty Dolmades, which is a stuffed, rolled grape leaf. The gyro meat was the downfall of this otherwise tasty plate. As my entree also included desert, I opted for rice pudding which was good, just not spectacular. On our second visit, I selected the Full Order of Biscuits and Gravy ($7.99) and my wife had the Athenian Omelet ($10.95). My B & G was two split fluffy biscuits covered with sausage gravy. The gravy did have a decent amount of sausage in it and I felt the flavor was ok, better than many others, but not as good as a few. My wife's omelet included tomato, green pepper, onions, and the 'fake' gyro meat with a side of tzatziki sauce. Included hash browns were nice and crispy and the buttered rye toast was good. My wife said the omelet is probably the best place to use that gyro meat. We were there around 10:30 in the morning and they were very busy. We saw many good looking dishes coming out to the diners. Their prices are very fair, portions are large and service is good. We will return to try some other menu items as it is close to where we live.

This restaurant in Florida is amazing! They make the best lamb shanks ever. Not to mention we had Baklava for the desert that was AMAZING! The people working there are really nice and make you feel welcome. I highly recommend it!

Very mid Greek restaurant with overhyped reviews, getting a feeling this is a Greek restaurant that capitalizes off traditional American cuisines like pancakes and chicken tenders, every customer in there is 50+ years or older , feels like if a Waffle House and a antique shop had a baby that’s the setting overall tho the gyros are good, I think they should shoot for more of a gyro based menu opposed to everything. The lemon chicken soup felt like it came out of a can or something , just get the gyro. Pretty overpriced too .

We usually get breakfast, and it's been excellent every time... my mom raves about the lamb and salad.. this time was a fail for me...I saw others eat the same meal I ordered, with gusto, but mine was woefully undercooked and felt mushy and slimey so I'd say avoid the grouper oscar... it's not grouper (as we know it). Stick to authentic dishes that look and smell amazing... our neighboring table enjoyed a few of these (country chicken?)... meals include soup or salad and a choice of light dessert... (the rice pudding is a favorite)

Never disappointed. Always good food and great value. One of my favorite spots🙂 Back today for Lunch Special, St. Louis Ribs. Tender and falling off the bone. Yummy!

First time experience Positive. Clean dining room and smiling waitresses. Negative. I was craving an authentic gyro at a supposed Greek restaurant. Major fail. Clearly not from a spit and very little meat that was flavorless. Won't be back unfortunately. Not our diamond in the rough

VERY DELICIOUS GYRO!!! Never been here before and picked the Gyro Melt. It did not disappoint. HUGE portions! The Atmosphere is a little meh… the building could use some TLC

I had not been to Athenian in many many years but decided to go back and give it a try. Our food was excellent. The prices are fair. The service was wonderful. We went fairly early so it wasn't crowded at all but did get more patrons as the evening wore on. I will return and give their breakfast I'll try as well.

Food was always good, service was great, but we will never go back. My husband has a service dog and we never had a problem in there until recently when we were approached by the owner demanding to see the dogs paperwork, which is against the policy of the ADA.. we were told that the health department told him to ask. Shame on him.

Just like going home for dinner! Went on Easter so it was a limited menu rather than the extensive regular menu. Our table had lamb shank, bbq ribs, stuffed grouper and grouper Oscar, everything was solid good home cooking. A lovely four course meal soup, salad, main and dessert in the $20 range and on EASTER, can't beat it. The regular menu is extensive and very tasty American and Greek choices all very homey. If you want slick fancy plating and wine service but if you want a solid meal and the original diner experience this is it. And don't forget a slice of baklava... you won't forgive yourself.

We stopped for lunch in the mood for Greek food. Service was excellent. Orzo soup‐was expecting more lemony flavor but got puffy overcooked orzo and chicken soup. It was ok though. Husband had the gyro and crisp delicious fries. I got the Greek sampler with crisp salad. Dressing was sweet and different. Pastistio was my favorite. Nice and balanced. Spanikopta was a tiny portion. Mousouka was good too! Prices are reasonable. Daily specials were Kansas Ribs and other American classics. Plenty of seating and atmosphere was lovely!

It is no where near Greek food. I'm serious that it was prepared with the cheapest ingredients available and cannot be considered Grecian delicacy.

Down to earth . Treat you like family. Portions and prices we're great.

Gyro meat was preformed slices, not fresh from a gyro cone, cheap food, stuffed peppers had no taste...I won't go there again.
