The quantity was more than enough for the price. The rice was yummy, and the chicken was tender. However, the kebab and beef pieces were hard and dry. My husband had the lamb shank platter, which was good; the meat was soft and juicy. Overall, it was a good experience.

The food was delicious. Great portions and fairly priced. The people were fantastic! They really care about the customer. The owner came out to ask about our experience, not out of obligation like managers at chain restaurants, but to make sure his food and service was great. And the girl at the counter was fabulous. Friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I will absolutely eat here again when I return to the area.

Went there yesterday with the family, the cashier was nice and polite, the owner was wonderful and served us with two extra dishes and tea. Will for sure go back.

I used to work there for a short period of time and the stuff I saw were horrifying. 1. Vegetables were improperly stored and would frequently rot in their boxes. The owner would separate the rotten vegetables and keep using the ones that “look fresh” instead of disposing of the whole container. He’d even cut off rotten sides from some vegetables that only had small pieces of mold. 2. Meat was almost never fresh and would be kept in the fridge for no less than a week 3. We almost always had expired beverages that the owner refused to dispose of 4. The owner was extremely negligent when it came to allergies and food safety in general. Although there are separate tongs for Baklava (contains walnuts) and the other dessert (Znood), he frequently used one for both. No labeling on squeeze bottles. Frequently handled food with his hands. We had multiple complaints from customers and the owner just told me to ignore them 5. Gyro is sold as beef shawarma when it’s a mix of lamb and beef. Beef kebab and (beef kofta) are really just lamb. Sure, lamb is more expensive but he switched to lamb after getting a lot of complaints from customers about his dry and tough meat. He compensates with smaller portions. 6. The cloth used to clean tables and surfaces are almost never sanitized 7. He doesn’t pay taxes on cash and doesn’t give tips to the workers. Keeps them all to himself Just wanted to warn you all

This place is great!! The food is awesome, the staff are so nice, and it’s very reasonably priced. Definitely adding this to our regular lunch rotation

I just had the best Middle Eastern meal at Babylon Restaurant in Henrietta! Totally delicious! OMG, the freshest, lightest pita ever. I had the vegetarian platter and ful (fave bean dip) appetizer. And the people there are so nice. I can’t say enough good things about it! And… if you’re looking for a place where you can have a meal and be able to talk with you companions and hear each other easily, look no further.

Babylon Restaurant is one of those gems you have to go looking for. Don't let its humble decore throw you, it's quite cozy and the service is top notch! I went with the chicken shawarma pita, my fiancee chose the veggie dinner with tabbouleh & baba ghanoush, and we added a side of falafel. All of it was superb! The shawarma was moist and flavorful, the tabbouleh was refreshing especially paired with the savory smokiness of the baba ghanoush. The falafels were delightful little savory bits. We got Arabic coffee and cardamom tea. Both were very flavorful and satisfying, like a warm hug for the belly. We left feeling very satisfied.

A no frills place that is absolutely centered on quality food and service. My boyfriend and I are from out of state and stumbled on this place due good internet reviews and so should you stumble into their unassuming restaurant. Pick up a menu at the counter, order at the counter. Wait for incredible food to come to you. The lentil soup was amazing. The chicken and the beef kebab were amazing. Insanely huge proportions for what you pay and everything was followed up with Staff checking on food quality throughout and even a complimentary tea service that was out of this world. Check out this small family ran restaurant for incredible food and even better hospitality and service.

Fresh cuisine cooked with love. From fork tender lamb shanks and perfectly seasoned kofta to yummy okra soup (who knew?), everything was so yummy! Dessert and cardamon tea rounded out our meal. The service was great too!

The food is the star of this Resteraunt. The lamb shank special was perfectly braised and spiced. It was accompanied by a fresh salad, rice and a choice of 3 soups. The baba ghanouj was balanced and perfect with the fresh baked bread hot from the oven. The baklava filling and layered pastry was moist, sweet and delicious served with cardamom tea. The cook Jamal cooks with love in an authentic middle eastern style. The service was pleasant and attentive. You should not miss tasting this fare.

This place is a hidden gem. It is by far the best Mediterranean restaurant in Rochester. The food is fresh and flavorful. The staff is delightful. It has quickly become my go to restaurant to discuss business over lunch.

Easily the best middle eastern food in Rochester, after trying many others. Lots of amazing vegetarian options: falafel, fattoush salad, zaatar manakeesh, labneh, hummus, baba ghanouj, dolmas. Pita always very fresh and delicious. Online ordering system is intuitive. It even has an option to decline unneeded plastic ware. Everyone who works here is kind and good at what they do. I’ve made online takeout orders for two to four people, and special orders by phone of 50 falafel—always getting exactly what I expected. Can’t recommend enough.

The young lady who hosts and serves is sweet and considerate. The food is excellent. The falafel is very different here; at most restaurants it is fried almost too much. At Babylon, the falafel texture is kind of fluffy inside, making it lighter than at many other restaurants. The combination of sweet and dill pickled vegetables is irresistible. The dolmas are the best I have tasted and, this will sound odd, but I just ate the most delicious olive of my life. The imported Lebanese sodas are fantastic (we had Lemon Ginger and Lemon Mint)! The hospitality of Babylon is inviting. As we headed out our young hostess and the gentleman who had prepared our food wished us a good night and thanked us for our patronage. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Amazing authentic Arabic food. We stopped over on our way from Niagara to New York here and found a gem of a restaurant. The Chef and the staff were very friendly. Only critique would be that they didn't have tap water.

I went here for dinner with a friend and the food was okay. The place itself was very nice and the woman at the counter and the gentleman who cooked the food were all very nice. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was okay, but not great. I would come back again but would definitely try something different. The guy did recommend the shish kebab so maybe I will try that next time and update my review accordingly. Having been to other places like Cedar, Shawarma restaurant, Arian’s. etc. I’m used to good Shawarma and that just didn’t quite fit the bill. Also important to note, this place does have a parking lot but it’s really small with several other businesses that occupy that lot as well. Finding a spot may be difficult during peak business hours.

I would have shared a photo but I inhaled everything 🤣. The Tabbouleh is thee BEST I have ever had. It is really blowing my mind. I also love the bread that the pitas are made with 💜. You order your food and it comes out to you in like 5 minutes 😳. Also they brought me over a complimentary piece of Baklava. 🥰 Update I came back again, and I got complimentary Baklava and a delicious thermal of how tea 🥹❤️ this place is a 10/10 Consistently!

Fresh food, except for the fish, it was black, I don't know if it was overcooked or an unclean grill, we had to ask for the potatoes several times, they arrived when we had already finished the meal. The lentil soup...mmmmm is perfect for curry lovers... Not my case. The rest was very delicious, the bread was super fresh and spongy; The staff that attended to us was very kind, with a good attitude.

My wife loves this place for their whole fried fish. Their other food is tasty, but not too memorable. If you're looking for Mediterranean, this will do the trick.

I loved the wrap. Absolutely filling and tasty. Baklava had a lot of sugar syrup coating with negligible filling and no sign of pistachios. I wouldn't mind paying twice the price if they can make it bigger with adequate filling.

I have been to this place multiple times and each time the food is great and the service is great and they are very generous.

We ordered beef kebab and they gave us lamb as it tasted like the lamb shank somebody else had. Pretty sure they forgot we ordered it and just gave us whatever. Also forgot another item in our order until they were reminded.

It's been a while since we've gotten good from here, but tried it again because someone recently went and said it was great. We were so very very disappointed and most likely won't try it again. It was pickup so minimal interaction with the young lady at the counter but she was very pleasant. The restaurant appeared clean. That's the end of the positives I'm afraid. We got the hummus and babaganoush to start, and were very disappointed. They were both bland and pretty flavorless. I would expect a nice garlic flavor in them but just wasn't there. The pita bread was very good though. Wife got the gyro platter and felt it wasn't very flavorful. My one son enjoyed his lamb shank, and my other son enjoyed his lamb chops. I also had the lamb chops and there was zero seasoning on mine- not even salt. The salads all just had seasoning with no type of oil or dressing. The entrees came with hummus, which isn't stated on the website. So if you don't want a ton of hummus, just get what comes with the entree, and get extra pita. They were out of the dessert we ordered, but didn't tell me until we arrived which was frustrating. They did give an extra piece of baklava which was nice. Overall the food was bland and flavorless, and for $150 for 4.25 people(3yo doesn't fully count) to eat, I would expect much better. Go to Fattoush in Pittsford for much much better food.

We accidentally came across Babylon Restaurant and we're so glad we did! The food was excellent and the service was phenomenal! Everyone there was so kind from the moment we walked in all the way throughout our dinner. This is the kind of service that seems to be missing more and more from most restaurants. I basically never take the time to write a review, but this place was so good, everyone should know. We're definitely adding this to our favorites list!

This was my first time here and everything was absolutely perfect! We had the lamb and chicken schwarma sandwiches with white bean soup and got the chicken kabob sandwich to go for my daughter. This is one of my son's favorite restaurants.... & now I know why! I highly recommend checking it out.

It is a nice restaurant to go with your family. Service is very fast and the food is delicious. I ordered beef kabob , cheese marakesh, and chicken sandwich which were very fine. I also ordered lentil soup but it was served with rice inside and didn't like it that much.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! First, I love traditional foods, especially rich, flavorful, savory, and prepared with a flair. Babylon gave me that, and more than I'd expected. I'd searched for a place I hadn't been before, and was glad to see the menu online and the variety. I requested a table online with no problems. Upon arrival, it was a comfortable place, with enough seating and quite nicely laid out. The gentleman who greeted us mentioned how to order, and once ready to come to the desk. He later came out to the table and offered to make recommendations AND took the order! The food was exactly what I'd hoped. Savory, flavorful, and SO good! Portions were huge, and if I could have eaten more I would. Opted for mostly Palestinian foods, and was exceedingly thrilled. On top of it all, the owner then had Tea, and a dessert sent out as a gift. It was again, amazingly delicious and a fantastic gesture! Yep. New go-to dining spot! They do offer to-go ordering as well, and their website and FB pages are well done. 11/10 in my book. Thank you!

The servers are incredibly friendly, the food is some of the best middle Eastern cuisine I've had in a long time, and the pita is excellent. We had the lamb chops and lamb shank, both were cooked to perfection and the soups were excellent compliments. It's clear the people who work here really care and deserve to be recognized for it. Come here if you want food made with love.

After one meal, Babylon became my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Rochester. The food is delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. Everything from their hummus, to their lamb chops and baklava is on point. The server and staff stood out for their friendliness, they really care about their customers and it shows! Every time I come here I never get a chance to take a good food pic because it gets devoured. Genuinely the best middle eastern restaurant in town. They really embody a deep appreciation and respect for their food and the people enjoying it. You won’t get this at a chain. Cannot emphasize enough how good this place is.

My husband and I are here for a work trip and wanted to take advantage to try new dishes. We both loved our food! I got the lamb shank and the meat fell right off the bone! Very tender and delicious. The service was great and portions were surprisingly large. We highly recommend and will be back!!
