Things have changed. We happened to be there on pork chop Monday so I had to have that! The greens were not what I remembered, not creamed like before. The corn bread was hard to eat as it crumbled to pieces, a spoon would have helped. The plum sauce was different. Why change something that in the past was perfect? We asked if they had decaf coffee so that we could have an Irish coffee. Nope! I just don't understand why a restaurant can't have a simple one cup Keurig to serve that one customer a decaf coffee. And my last gripe, the bang bang shrimp wasn't as good as it used to be. Seems to have more breading than before. I have one positive comment .... we had a great server, young man, who was working very hard to please everyone. We have eaten here soooo many times, but it will be hard to return.

Beware of Corrupt Police in Pass Christian My wife and I were planning to enjoy a nice dinner at Bacchus at the Beach, a place we’ve always looked forward to visiting during our trips to the Gulf Coast. However, our experience in Pass Christian left us so shaken that we decided to cancel our plans and leave the city entirely. Unfortunately, Pass Christian seems to have a serious issue with corrupt police practices. I was wrongfully cited by a police officer who claimed I ran a stop sign, despite clear evidence showing that his view was obstructed. My attempts to resolve the situation fairly were met with resistance and unfair treatment by the local judicial system, including the prosecutor and judge. As much as we were looking forward to our meal at Bacchus, we couldn’t bring ourselves to stay in a place where out-of-state visitors are seemingly targeted and mistreated. We would caution anyone planning to visit Pass Christian to be aware of these issues. It's a shame, because the restaurant has great reviews, but we couldn’t support a town where visitors are treated so unfairly. Hopefully, the city will address these problems soon. Until then, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.

Waiter was fantastic, blonde haired dude was super respectful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely amazing. Every bite better than the last. I got catch of the day she got scampi. Char broiled oysters were a hit as well

Fried Shrimp was no good , blackened chicken Alfredo was oily no sauce , ceaser salad was fine . Won’t be back . Wish I had the 53 dollars back .

Today we ordered the catfish special for both myself and my wife. When it arrived instead of strips of catfish, we each received 4 nuggets. Then on top, then we had to pay 3 % extra for using our credit card. Wow, when I get screwed I like to enjoy it but this experience will not happen again. I will not frequent any restaurant that charges me for using my credit card. It's really sad cause I liked going to Bacchus but they have lost us.

Great Tuesday Special Fresh Fried Catfish Mississippi caught Delicious with Fries $12.50 Garden salad greens and each dressing great. Glad we stopped in A+

This place was hands down one of the best places that I've eaten at in a while. The food was fabulous, the service was great and the huge outdoor eating area was very relaxing! Everything we ate was wonderful, but those oysters were fantastic!!!

PIROGUE [PI-REAUX] petit filet, blue crab cake, gris gris shrimp, mashed potato 33.95 upgrade to an 8oz filet or a 16oz ribeye This is what we ordered with a view of the gulf! Frozen tiny shrimp and an overcooked presumably frozen crab cake as it was inedible. The steak was mid at best. The only saving grace was the Chandon 🥂 Come to drink with a view … leave to eat . ** Service was great

The pasta we got was great, but the $11 bananas foster bread pudding was a HUGE disappointment!!! It was mushy and had so much oil floating around with the bananas, and they put chocolate chips!!! In bread pudding???!!! Not happy

No wait on a Friday night in August. Our waiter, Blake, was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable of the menu, desserts, beers on tap.... everything. He made some excellent reccommendations. Both meals we ordered were excellent and came out quickly. Shrimp were huge and cooked perfectly. The creamed spinach was delicious, and the salted caramel cheesecake was to die for! This is a definite must try if you are in the area.

This was not the best experiences, see when I go out to eat I do not haggle or complain over price , but I do expect the food to mirror the price , I had a wise man tell me once the price you choose to charge you always give your best cause it was your choice and your reputation is on the line , My wife ordered the steak special 5 Oz with shrimp and cheesy mashpotatoes special it was normally $33.95 but on special it was $27.00 , first the meat was burned , granted it was late we ordered around 8:30 and that was their excuse for the burn is it was late , now they did make it right and remade it , it was good , now mine was simple Burger with bacon on top and cheese , I know I'm really simple !! Lol , you would think so right , but actually the hamburger patty was terribly oversalted, I did have the Caesar salad it was very good .at the end of dinner we received the bill and noticed the special was charged as full price , again we brought this to Management attention , he said it happens ,Realllyyy so this happens how often ,. Service was very good , made sure to tip Darby well , was not her fault . Servers should never suffer for the incompetence of the people that are not giving 100 % , I say that 100 % because when it's time too pay the bill they want 100% .. Would I go back , I believe everyone deserves a second chance, someday maybe .. EATING OUT IS A ENJOYMENT THAT WE SHARE WITH OUT SIGNIFICANT OTHER OR FRIENDS WE WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH , WE COULD COOK AT HOME . BUT WE CHOOSE GO OUT BEING CONFIDENT THAT WE HAVE CHOSEN A PLACE THAT WILL REFLECT OUR LOVE FOR OUR FRIENDS AND MAKE FOR A GREAT MEMORY !! GOING OUT TO EAT IS A LUXURY NOT A NECESSITY, AND WHEN DONE , THE RESTAURANT THAT WE CHOOSE SHOULD REALIZE HOW SPECIAL WE THINK THEY ARE , BECAUSE OUT OF ALL THE RESTAURANTS ON THE COAST WE CHOSE THEIR RESTAURANT , HOW DISSAPOINTING I!

Shrimp scampi was beyond disgusting. So salty I had to ask the waitress if I could order something else. She said the would “remake it” for us. Manager came back with plates and said they used “less seasoning” as if we can’t handle spice. I’m from Louisiana so I’m sorry if I don’t consider salt a seasoning. No flavor. Just come across the border to LA if you want some flavor

Loved this place... Will definitely go back. The half baked oysters were fantastic and the crab cakes were to die for. The cheesy pasta for the kids was awesome and they eat every bit of it. Great atmosphere. 👍🏻

The shrimp scampi is terrible! Carb cake not made in house. Bread pudding cold. Just nasty!

Very loud inside, food was good. Oysters grilled and raw were very good. I wasn't given the option of how my chicken on my salad was prepared. Our server was polite but not attentive on refills.

One of our favorite restaurants on the beach. Great food, great drinks, friendly staff providing great service. And a wonderful view of the marina and Gulf Coast. Bacchus is always on our “must visit” list on vacation. Thanks for another fantastic meal!

The food was delicious and it was a perfect evening to dine on the patio.

The pork chops have got to be one of the best items they have on the menu. The creamed spinach and the broccoli were wonderful side dishes. The bread pudding was delicious! We sat outside and it was very comfortable and an absolutely beautiful evening.

AMAZING WAITRESS! I wish I would have asked her name again. Wavy brunette hair and brown skin lol she wore cat eye style black eyeliner. Indoor women's bathroom low water flush pressure (could have been bc it was raining). The bathroom was clean and stocked. There are no hooks on the bathroom doors for purses or jackets. There was not a baby changing table inside the women's restroom. The stalls were private stalls with closed walls (that's a plus). There was a unisex bathroom outside on the patio/bar area. I didn't use that one. Can't comment on it. Oysters were delicious. I enjoyed this restaurant, it was good Louisiana style food. The hotel across the street from the restaurant is lovely to look at as well. Atmosphere gets 4/5 because it was a casual place/vibe. Our large group of 4 couples so 8 people, were all pleased. Alexis is a frequent flyer of this restaurant and I will be too whenever I'm in town.

Over priced food, limited selections, unhappy waitress. Not a place I’d visit again. Raw oysters were good, everything else comparable to a chain restaurant buffet.

Been there twice and never got a chance to eat. Takes 30 minutes just to get a drink. 'Can't review the food cause the bar service was not up to par. Sorry, great place, poorly run.

Love love love Bacchus! We sat outside in the open air bar and had the best time, cold beer and oysters! The people were so friendly ESPECIALLY the bar tender. Kudos for such great hospitality and making guests feel welcome!

I want creamed spinach every day now. The surf and turf is all my spouse can talk about. It's absolutely amazing. Everything is fresh and perfect. We sat outside and it was windy and pleasant even in late June. The brunch menu on Sunday doesn't end until 2 but they got our order in a bit early. Fabulous!

Restaurant was a very fast-paced, happy wine and dine atmosphere. Servers are on point, at least mine was. Didn't have to ask for anything. Time for the check, the server actually put my pasta in the box for me. The food was pretty delicious. The spinach dip was different. it had crab and crunchies on top, and I enjoyed it. My shrimp Alfredo was very satisfying large tail on shrimp, so yummy... and my fiance had the baccous burger and frys, which had to be like a 10oz burger. We had 1 margarita, which could have been a little sweeter, but the sour was point. It was a very place and definitely a popular place. People are coming and going as tables cleared out. We will go back.

We’ve frequented Bacchus and knew we wanted to bring our friends who were visiting from Kansas. The great food, beach views and our excellent server, Jacob, made tonight all that we wanted the experience to be for our friends!

We made the mistake of setting outside to eat in late JUNE..lol The flies this year are BAD and the sun sets on the back patio, so that combo wasn't the best for a night out with friends. The food was ok... The service was as good as it could be with her having inside and out... The boys enjoyed their beer 😎 and oysters 😋 .

Had the most amazing dining at Bacchus on the Beach! The atmosphere on the patio was perfect for our evening meal, no other place like it on the MS gulf coast. From the moment we arrived, we were met with kind smiles and a warm welcome from the staff. The food was incredible! The seared Ahi tuna and the catch of the day completed exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend!

Dined at Bacchus for the first time in months, Blake was our waiter and was attentive but didn’t crowd us. The Gris -Gris oysters were the best! Such a unique and delicious chargrilled oyster. Best Cesar dressing on the coast! Had a Perfect Medium Rare Ribeye and chicken Alfredo for entrees. Consistent food and service ! Can’t ask for much more !

The absolute BEST place to eat on the MS Gulf Coast!! The food and service is second to none. And the manager ALWAYS comes to your table to make sure everything is perfect. Will be back again soon!!

I spent last Friday night at the outside bar and I had a great time. The team of bartenders they had made great drinks and were awesome to hang out with. I typically do not leave reviews but my recent dining experience at “Pork Chop Monday” was exceptional. Service was exceptional. Polite and friendly. Best pork chop I’ve ever had. My wife had red fish dish and has not stopped talking about it. I highly recommend!

Everything is good but the pirogue is my favorite and the pork chop is the best pork chop I’ve ever had in my life!!!

We come here all the time and love it! Great atmosphere, amazing for kids, and I love their cocktails! I recommend the spinach appetizer or anything with redfish!

We brought some new friends from out of town to eat the Monday night pork chop special. We had the spinach bienville for an appetizer, key lime pie and bread pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious! They enjoyed the atmosphere and dinner. The hamburger is still probably my favorite. You can't beat the view!

We went on a girls trip to Pass Christian and decided to try this place based on great recommendations and reviews. Our waiter took our drink orders, brought our drinks, and never came back. We left after 45 minutes because our waiter never came back to take our orders.

Never dine at this establishment!!🤣 The food was atrocious! 😫 The fish was overcooked and not the fish that was told to us when we ordered and most likely frozen. There were fried pieces of something on the plate, and the vegetables were soaked and overcooked in slop! The service was horrible!!! My husband got up 3 different times to ask for missing items. A large group of people at a table next to us got up and left after waiting too long. We complained at the end to the manager and he did nothing. He was too inexperienced and overwhelmed and gave my husband every excuse. Anyone who has any expectations, do not even think about coming here.

Normally it’s a good experience. Love their chicken sandwich. Last time the chicken was the size of a quarter and about as thick as one. I would have sent it back but waiter never came back and I was short on time. After I was done the waiter commented that he’s been noticing the chicken and the cordon blue have been pretty small Won’t be back for a 26.00 lettuce sandwich

Service and atmosphere was great. The food, however, was lackluster. The Spinach Bienville was the exception, it was so delicious I would eat that for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! For the Blackened Mahi Tacos, the fish was dry, the coleslaw had a strange flavor, and the fries were all stuck in two clumps. The Mardi Gras Pasta was good but definitely not worth almost $25. The alcoholic drink was small but strong. Our total bill was a little over $70. This was the first restaurant we tried in Mississippi.. a little disappointing.

My husband and I had dinner there and the seafood was fresh but not well presented and the service was poor. The prices were too high for what you got. We started with oysters on the half shell, which were good and fresh. I had the shrimp platter, grilled instead of fried. I requested melted butter on the side. The shrimp were fresh and cooked well but the melted butter was a thickened margarine. Yuck! My husband had the redfish portage which came with a small piece of redfish, about 5 small shrimp, about a “teaspoon “ of crabmeat and a small crab cake. The seafood was ok but the sauce that was poured all over everything was terrible. It ruined the taste of all the seafood. Our waitress was hard to find. She took the order then disappeared. We wanted hush puppies and couldn’t find her to order them. We finally flagged down another waitress and she ordered them. They were $3.50 extra. The bill was $88.13 with no drinks. Bottom line, there are other good seafood restaurants in that area. I wouldn’t waste my money here. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the seafood was fresh. Otherwise I would give it one star.

I had the hummus and Ceasars salad and my husband had the fried green tomatoes top with white crab meat and shrimp. We enjoyed our meal however the restaurant was hot. Next time I will eat outside.

Brought my daughter here for lunch, we had the Jackpot oysters, burger, creole club and Cajun chicken sammich. Everything was so amazing, I literally mmmmmm’d every bite!!

Had the bacchus po-boy. It was very good. Prices are about average for the area. Our server which I can’t remember his name was very polite/professional. 10/10 would recommend. Nice view from outdoor seating.

The food was alright a little over cooked not alot of variety. Po noys sandwiches, steaks etc are highly priced. Liquor and beer are also veey expensive

First visit. Ate inside as there was too much smoke outside. Food and service was wonderful. I had the Cajun club sandwich. Very good and extremely filling. Better half had fried reddish. He didn't leave a crumb. He also enjoyed his gumbo. Will go back again to try other dishes. We go between lunch and dinner so no places are crowded. The patrons started coming in after we were about half finished.

The “Bacchus Bar” has crawfish but the ‘Bacchuss restaurant” does not. Same company and nearly connected to each other however. Because that makes total sense. Won’t be back.

This place is awesome, went here with my family of 5. The food was top notch and service was extraordinary. We ate here twice in 3 days. Great atmosphere, even better food and specialty drinks. Wish i could remember our servers name, she wore turquoise necklaces and very friendly / helpful.

Three of us were there for a birthday luncheon celebration. The day was warm, we sat on the deck. I had the "Black and Blue" salad and steak. Served with a lettuce wedge artfully arranged with tomatoes and steak along side. I thought there was an excessive amount of salad dressing on the plate but I was able to push most to the side. My friends had a Redfish sandwich with fries and a bowl of Gumbo with a side of Spinach and Cheese Dip....very eclectic but all of us enjoyed the menu. The service was friendly and efficient.

I have been here pretty often and i will say yesterday was the BEST service i have ever received during the times i have gone. My bartender Keeley was very upbeat, bright, on task, and seemed very happy on the job which made my time there well enjoyable. My food came out quickly, the oysters were great as always. The drinks were amazing. I enjoyed my visit and I will be back

I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip with crab and a burger to go. I ended up getting a shrimp poboy and a double cheese burger. I was dying for that spinach and artichoke dip !!! I drove and picked it up. Even had a great drink

Great location..sat on the enclosed deck. Had shrimp poboy, Bacchus burger and shrimp appetizer in our party..was ok but nothing special. We will return to try something else.

Waitress at the outside bar, Amber, was more in entertaining friends drinking water rather than attending to paying customers. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience for even ordering. Service was poor and the food was mediocre.

I went looking for a specific menu item, char grilled oysters. They were every bit as good as I hoped they would be. I ordered the Jackpot with spicy seasonings. I also had a refreshing side salad and a bowl of seafood gumbo which was not great but good. I was very pleased with the meal along with my wife and friend who both ordered the fried shrimp special. I so do hope to return, it was worth the 3 hour round trip!

The bacchus burger is great. The chicken cordon blue sandwich is great. The spinach with cheese is great. Don’t know how anything else is as those three things are so good I don’t get anything else. Staff is excellent and always cordial. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice indoor/outdoor bar to relax and eat and drink

Bacchus is open every day. They run specials Mon.-Thurs. Food is really good although the grits are spicy. Haven't had a bad meal. Last time got a poor boy-first time shrimp, debris beef etc. Delicious!

The owner of the place I rented in Pass Christian recommended Bacchus on the Beach. I gave it a try and it was great. The waitress Penelope is a great waitress, super nice and checked on you enough. I has the fried green tomatoes, a sauce over them with shrimp and shredded crabmeat on them, delicious plus I had the combo cooked oysters, delicious. When I'm back down there again I will eat there again.

We found this place as we were passing through. We ate at the bar and had a great time. Bartenders Wyatt and Dallas were great and friendly. Food was solid. They had a special that sounded good but was $45 and seemed a bit steep for this kind of place but to be fair, we did not have it.
