Friendly staff, fantastic coffee, and delicious treats. The staff was very nice to my kids as well & I love the overall vibe. I wish there was a little more seating but only so I could stay longer. Lol

Beware of Visiting Pass Christian I’ve always enjoyed stopping by Cat Island Coffeehouse during my visits to Pass Christian for a great cup of coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is excellent, and the setting is perfect for unwinding. However, after a recent experience, I feel it’s important to share a word of caution with potential visitors. During my last trip to Pass Christian, I was wrongfully cited by a local police officer for allegedly running a stop sign. Despite having clear evidence that the officer’s view was obstructed, the local police and judicial system treated me unfairly throughout the entire process. This left me feeling that out-of-state visitors are unfairly targeted, which is incredibly disappointing. It’s a shame because Cat Island Coffeehouse is a wonderful place, but this unfair treatment has tainted the overall experience of visiting Pass Christian. I hope the city addresses these issues soon, as it risks losing visitors who come to enjoy places like this. I would recommend the coffeehouse itself, but advise caution if you’re an out-of-state visitor to Pass Christian. Sadly, until things change, we’ll be taking our coffee breaks elsewhere.

I'm from Seattle, home to Coffee and I'm pretty picky about it. I've been to Gulfport a handful of times and just discovered Cat Island Coffee on my last visit. I'm in LOVE! I let my daughter in on the treasured coffee house as an amazing little place for studying. I'll be back next time I'm there.

Wonderful small cafe with modern choices of good coffee and a small variety of breakfasts. Sourronded by exquisite books you can relax with a nice view to the sea. Definitely can recommend this place for a stop. 🤩👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This is the cutest coffee shop . I love the view of the beach and how you can sit inside or outside The bookstore has some really cute books of Pass Christian with some great authors. This is the perfect place to bring a book to read or do some work or writing.

The only disappointment is the last sip. Great service and atmosphere!

Great little coffee shop and book store. The coffee was amazing and the service and classic little bookstore vide was fantastic. My only criticism is that they were out of most of the breakfast food and it was only 8:30 AM.

We love absolutely love the environment! My husband and I enjoyed perusing the books while sipping our Cortado! Great quiet date space!

A very special little Coffee and Book haven situated across the Beach Hwy from the Gulf and the Pass Christian Harbor. It is located right on the corner. This place is so warm and comfortable. While you enjoy their wonderful coffee brews accompanied by selections of b'fast sandwiches or cobbler or muffins, etc. I was in town visiting a great couple that live just down the elevated road. They walk down to the coffeehouse just about every day. That is informative about the coffee consistency, because my buddy, Artie is very frugal...

Ordered a $5.50 cold brew coffee, light ice. I received a cup of coffee filled to an inch below the rim. The staff told me they were not allowed to fill it up. This is why Starbucks is so popular.

Love how quaint this little coffee shop and book store is, situated right across from the beach. The staff is always friendly and polite with quick and polite service. It can get really crowded some morning but they are efficient as keeping the line moving.

I loved this place. If books and coffee are your favorite things. Then this place is for you. The coffee and tea were good. If you need a place to relax and quiet your mind this is the place to go.

I recently went in with my daughter while I was an art market they had and the staff was so rude I couldn’t even believe it! More importantly, they had NO sugar free choices or whip cream and was out of a milk we wanted…. WOW!! I do give the benefit of the doubt to business especially during a busy time but other than 3 people in the whole place there were like 5 employees! Couldn’t have been any worse an experience …oh… except for the ice latte I did get was horrible!!! On a positive note… the book store itself is quaint and cozy!!

I’ve always loved both the coffee & atmosphere of this place, I went in looking for a book this day. Not sure the employees names, but he was tall(handsome!) w/dark hair and was very helpful. Although the book I was looking for was not available, I was shown the selection of local authors I did not even know they carried. Great options and great service!!

This place is magical. Stunning view, great service, incredible vibe and stellar service. Stopped on the way home, drove from I-10 for a different stop and it was worth it. Will come again.

Every time we visit from Missouri we have to visit Cat Island Coffeehouse. We love browsing the book selection and my daughters love the hot chocolate.

Small, way overpriced, limited seated. Coffee was okay, but not worth the fortune we paid for it.

My GF loves it, so we stop every time we are in Mississippi. She gets the London fog, and brings back home a Muddy waters, no ice.😂

Delicious house made cardamom latte and scone. Personal and friendly service. Most comfortable atmosphere makes you feel cozy and classy, from the napkins to the water glasses to the beautifully curated books for sale. A real gem!

I love them. Coffee is fantastic, and they even have that rarest of qualities, the skill to make a good cappuccino. Everyone that works here seems to want to be here! It's friendly, an amazing setting by the beach, and they care about the quality of every aspect of the experience. The bookshop collection is well curated too.

This coffee was soooooo hot and delicious. It was a Brazilian Medium Roast. The cashier was patient and friendly.

Super cure and cozy. The Southern Vanilla was spot on. Some coffee shops are way too sweet and this one was perfect. We even picked up a couple of books for the kids.

We had breakfast there and had a great time! The atmosphere is pleasant, the coffee was delicious. I had the booksellers blend and it was amazing (my husband had the Mississipi mocha and loved it). I had toast with eggs it was exactly how I wanted.

Husband and I went there after having an early dinner, watch the sunset from sitting on the porch and it was beautiful.

3 years ago I gave them a 5 star review but after several visits over the years, I had to reconsider. It seems they make the drinks differently with each visit, even if you're ordering the same drink. Its not customer friendly. The very few tables inside are almost always "reserved" so you have to be lucky enough to get a tiny table upstairs, eat outside or leave. Last time I was in, every single table was reserved but all tables were empty, so idk who they were reserved for. It's easy to say "just go somewhere else" but I want to support Pass business. This coffeehouse makes it difficult to support local.

First time coming to this coffee shop since moving to town I came here to work on my dissertation. When I ordered they told me all the tables inside were full. I said that’s fine and if one opens up can I switch. They said yes. As I was waiting for my coffee a table opened up and I asked the bus person if I could sit and he said yes. I start to set up my computer and am informed that I am sitting at a community table and can I move to a two person table downstairs now and when a table opens up upstairs can I move up there as “we don’t like laptops downstairs”. I said that is fine and it’s no problem. About five minutes later I am informed that there is no table upstairs but they need me to move outside (during a heat advisory) so that a mother and her two young children can have my table. At this point I pack up and ask for a to go cup. I came here on a recommendation from my spouse and his work crew. It is a really cute little coffee shop and book store. The ambiance they are going for is obviously one of a community watering hole and that’s great, they should put a sign on the door that says if you’re alone order to go. I would have loved to have hung out here with my spouse and two young children but I came here to work. If you’re looking for a place to study, work, or even start that new book you just bought, look somewhere else because this isn’t it.

Had a really great experience at this coffee shop/bookstore. Got a few books for our kids and they have a nice selection of books on local history. The coffee was also great. I had the Cat Island Cold Brew, and it was the best iced coffee I've had. Will be back next time we're in the area!

Great service and drinks. It has the best view. It's truly one of a kind. It's the type of place you would drive an hour to visit and relax.

As perfect a location and concept—coffee AND a curated selection of books—as you can get. We make a point of getting off I-10 at Gulfport so we can cruise along Scenic 98 and stop here. Don’t miss the town’s park a stone’s throw from this coffee shop; whatever had you wound up before you arrived will have melted away after coffee and a walk beneath the centuries old oaks.

If you look closely you can tell I actually like this place but I did not appreciate my welcome that I received when I came in. There was no one else in line and some tables were open so I went to sit down because my back was hurting. My wife was getting in line to get our drinks and a young lady came and gave me a big long speech about how they don't let people sit down until they're finished ordering. I told her my wife is ordering right now and my back doesn't feel well. She said, well, since there's no one in line I guess it's okay then she left. Working in the customer service industry myself makes me a bit more aware of these kind of things.

Came here for the wifi to work on and order some amazing coffee (and lovely scones) - The staff was amazing, the atmosphere is super welcoming, it is clean, and the ambient noise was soothing. GREAT views if you want instagrammable pics too;) Loved my experience here

Hard to imagine anyone doing it better. They lack the "relax on a leather couch with coffee and book like your den" experience. Just no space in the building. But in every other way the place is superb.

Was disappointed that this seems like no more then a ultra liberal over priced coffee shop. Get rid of some of the garbage on your shelves and Id gladly be back to pay the high fees for the coffee.

Great atmosphere, good food, crazy overpriced!!! I paid $30 for two coffees and two biscuits. I wouldn't have stopped by if I would've known it was that pricey. But I love the book store/Beach atmosphere. It was nice.

So, the ciabatta breakfast sandwich was more like a burger bun breakfast sandwich. I think they need to find a vendor that sells real Italian bread. Recommend you avoid the 'ciabatta' breakfast sandwich. You will be disappointed with the hamburger bun bread they use. Otherwise, it's kind of cool place lots of books and great views.

Great food and coffee! The lady who served was so friendly. The latte I had is one of the best I've had in a long time. And we had a brisket/provolone breakfast sandwich, and I'm still thinking about it. I can't wait to go back and try something new.
