We visited this place for the breakfast today. All sandwiches that we ordered were so good!!! Coffee was delicious! Service was amazing!!! Thanks for being patient with our kids!!

I’ve lived in Boca for 4 years and driven by this place countless times. Finally stopped in. Pleasantly surprised. Nicer than I thought it would be. Pear tart is delicious. I will be coming back for sure. Hidden gem in plain sight.

I've been coming here for years, this place HAD amazing, pastries and food, soups and quiches…… I did a takeout order and couldn’t drink the coffee, had to throw it out, there was salty taste on the brim as if someone handled salty food and then placed the cup top with same unwashed fingers . The quiche Loraine had hair in it, not just one (which I can understand) but I’m talking like 7-8 small black hairs 🤢. Ok so I I took a bite of my favorite apple croissants which were only available on Fridays before and almost vomited - tasted like spoiled baby formula, my wife confirmed that it wasn’t just me. Cheese danish , a new item for this place , was amazing, made incredibly well, unlike anywhere else - but it’s not going to be enough for me to return to this place. I don’t know what happened, but it’s sad that five years later I’m changing my review of a place where I ate at least what 30-40 times.

The food was delicious and our waitress, Ayla, is very sweet and made our experience enjoyable.

The smell when you walk in is amazing. The coffee, baked goods and food are great. The staff is also very friendly, especially Debbie. Overall great experience.

I ask for a cappuccino and was the smaller cappuccino I ever had .😡🤦 Here is the RUDE Response from the owner: Response from the owner 15 hours ago Hi Jj - this is a bit strange to hear. Our medium cappuccino is 12 oz. and our large cappuccino is 16 oz. Here's a link to a Wikipedia page showing traditional cappuccinos are normally 5 - 6 oz. Apparently our cappuccinos are actually huge. If they're small to you, perhaps you're a giant?

Ever since the new owner, Michael, arrived in the fall of '23, I have found the restaurant to be a bit happier, fresher, relaxed, with a similar menu .... and equally as delicious. Please stop by and welcome Mike to our area. He's a young family man and delightful to talk to. They do have a late afternoon happy hour now. Check out the website.

New owner for a minute now. The food quality, portions and options are great. I had the Chipotle Chicken wrap w soup and it was delicious. Debbie was my server and she made Table 9 shine ! The wife and I come often and we will be back.

The pain aux raisins was burnt. The Palmier was super dry and hard. I almost loss a tooth. I would have been better off going to Publix Bakery. There is nothing French about these overpriced stale pastries.

This place seemed to fly under the radar for me, perhaps because there’s so much competition in this space, but I tried it this morning. Ordered a simple ham amd cheese croissant and it was probably one of the top 3 I’ve had in south Florida. They don’t seem big on presentation, say like the new French Baguette place that just opened in Delray, but they do deliver on the quality of the well executed sandwich. Fresh buttery croissant, with just the right amount of great tasting cheese and jambon, a really moist and unctuous sandwich. As mentioned above about presentation, it’s just the sandwich, no side of fruit, (not even a few strawberries)no pate of butter, just the sandwich. Same goes for the front pastry cases, no pretense, just the pastry. I would definitely return to try other items and check out their outdoor patio that seemed inviting, but I sat at the small indoor bar. Btw, the bill with a 20% gratuity, that I added in was $15( no beverages).

Had Mother’s Day lunch here and it was the best!!! I had a honey and pear sandwich with ham, turkey and goat cheese so delicious. Paired with the French onion soup made a wonderful lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food order with a craft beer or wine. Excellent

I had a lovely solo lunch experience here today. My waitress was kind and friendly, food delicious and prompt, just a great experience overall. I got the BLT croissant with a salad, iced tea, and a royal for dessert while I read my book at a quaint table. I will be back :) thank you

Good food and service,updated 2024. New owners according to some reviews. I asked and it is so, however the same staff, my waitress a young girl Ayla ( maybe spelled wrong), she was great. Food was good as I remembered ,according to Google the last I went was 4 years ago, I remember the then owner was a little rude, I ignored her,maybe the stresses of owning a business.

First time here and Loved it! I had breakfast with a friend. The waitress Eyla was absolutely lovely. Delicious croissant e cappuccino. I treated myself with marvelous chocolate ganache at the end.

Just walked in and ordered two ham and cheese Baquette’s. I get them there all the time and have once talked to the owner about catering for Wick theatre. The young man behind the counter said we don’t serve ham and cheese Baquette’s only croissant. Drove here from Boynton Beach. I really hope owner sees this review. AWFUL customer service!

I just enjoyed a little bit more than half of a BF Cheese platter delivered by DoorDash. SOOO GOOD. I’m sure if I call BF after placing My Next Same DoorDash order. They will replace the two slices of Brie with a cheese of my liking. WELL DONE! Five Stars

Rip off! I bought a roast beef sandwich on a baguette bread. They were supposed to scoop out the bread which they didn’t and there was literally one piece of roast beef. One side of the sandwich had a piece no bigger than a Size of a quarter. My girlfriend begged me to go back in and return it. I just didn’t have the patience because it took over 25 minutes to even get the sandwich. Service was horrible. I did order an almond croissant, which was very good. This is the third time I’ve eaten there in two years and all three times food and service was Terrible! The sandwich cost about $17 It’s still bothering me at day later that I should have went back in! And gave them the bread back because That’s all that it really was. I feel so, so so ripped off! It’s mind-boggling that they think that you could serve one slice of roast beef on a sandwich.

I went there to have breakfast because as a European myself missed the old days when I had breakfast whenever I visited my brother in Paris. I tried the French breakfast and I am extremely happy to have tried it.The toasted bread with butter, French Jam combined with Brie a total délicieuse . The fresh fruit was extra delightful.The atmosphere and music added to that special breakfast is all you need when you miss some or someplace or whenever you want to pamper yourself.

I visited this bakery while I was in town from Long Island’s Gold Coast, staying with my aunt and uncle who have moved to Boca Raton. We went here on January 12th before I headed back to New York. This location was my aunt and uncle’s choice, as they often visit for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. It was indeed a great choice. The pastries and breakfast options were excellent, and the coffee was superb. Even my cousin, who is visiting from Italy and is very critical of coffee in America, praised it. Our waitress, Monika, was awesome.

My wife and I met with our wedding planner to discuss some final details over coffee and pastries early in the morning. The atmosphere is nice and there were relatively enough staff for the handful of people there. This had been our first time here and we were excited to try it out. While our coffees came out in good time, we had ordered some food as well later on at our time there, but it was taking longer for it to come out. To the point where our meeting finalized, and our planner had to leave and we requested the food to go. Instead of being met with a check and a simple goodbye, my wife was confronted by what seemed to be either a manager or the owner in front of her other patrons, huffing and puffing out loud that we had taken up too much time at the table and we weren't leaving fast enough . Mind you, this place opens at 8 and we were done by 10 (and our food still had not come out and we still were not provided with our check). My wife responded by asking whether she wanted to be paid or not, flustered she brought out the check - we paid for the coffees and left the food. The lack of customer service obviously stems from the top and trickles down to the rest of the staff. Have a pleasant time elsewhere, unless you're looking for an inconvenience and an argument, then this place is for you.

When you come to the Boca Raton area don’t miss a visit to this venue. The food is excellent, a la Francaise, the service is great, thank you Debbie, the quiche is excellent and the pastry, I love the lunettes ( kind of like a linzer tart but filled with delectable raspberry preserves), and the rich coffee(I love the cafe au lait), are never disappointing. It’s nice casual dining indoors or out. ENJOY!

We used to eat here but now there is some rude lady working there that demands where you sit or says other rude things. We stopped going here.

From a cup of coffee & croissant to a full breakfast and or lunch, it's where to go to. The menu has so many selections, the food is freshly prepared, you can sit back, relax, and truly enjoy yourself. I got sick.....French onion soup watery had less than a third of bowl of soup.and tasteless...bread was hard..so hard couldn't cut through even after soaking in the very little bit of soup in the bowl. 3 big bay leaves in the bowl. Everything was cold ..had to send it all back so it could be heated. It still came back luke warm. Quiche Florentine...tasteless. taste like old canned spinach. Tomato was hard could not cut with knife. Bread was good but cold like from refrigerator. Waste of money. I have a stomachache now..and belching terribly.. Something was not right with that food. I feel sick like I want to vomit and now have indigestion. I do not know if this was a bad day for the restaurant or if it is the norm. I did get sick ...all I tasted coming back up was that nasty old spinach taste ...

Bakery of France is consistently excellent. I've been a customer for eight years and love this authentic French cafe. I point out that it is a French cafe because I've seen with my own eyes people asking the staff for typical American fare and desserts which quite frankly is an insult. It would be like walking into Abe & Louie's and asking for a bologna sandwich. It's a French Bakery, people. The pastries are the best I've had in South Florida. They are light, fresh, and delicious. The Plum Almond Tart and Pain Aux Raisins are my favorite. I love their cheese/bread sandwich plate with a field green salad. Their soups are delicious and their coffee is always, hot, bold, and strong. The breads are out of this world! The owner is lovely every time I stop in whether it's for a meal or pastries to go. They are not expensive. Everything is made with the highest quality of ingredients. I always receive excellent service. Bon Jour, Bakery of France!

Location, food, and decor are excellent. Every time I've come here, however, I've had a negative experience with the blonde woman behind the counter. She acts like it's a major inconvenience for her to provide even the most basic customer service. The latest example. My wife asked for a cappuccino with one sugar. "You'll have to add the sugar yourself." "Add sugar to a cappucino after it's done?" "Yea." "You know that ruins a cappuccino, right?" "Well, I don't know what to tell you." This was while there were exactly zero other customers. I know it's difficult to find help, but damn. At least have the self respect to not pay somebody who clearly hates your business and its customers.

I have lived in Boca for 50 years and my Dad who is from France turned me onto this restaurant years ago. Today I had a bad experience. The lettuce in my $21 wrap was old - even to the point of black in some pieces. I showed to owner and all she did was make an excuse that it was just opened today and blamed the delivery driver WHAT? First of all an owner should never make excuses just fix problem. She did not even remove the plate. Did not offer an apology or change amt on my bill or anything. Very unprofessional and she has now lost a family in off season that were good customers.

I used to go here pretty regularly, but this place has really gone downhill in the last year or so. The servers are rude and the food is gross. My wife ordered a quiche that tasted like it had been made with expired milk--it tasted kind of like the way a baby's diaper smells, if you've had that experience. It was disgusting. When we informed the server (who we didn't see again until she came back out to give us the check), she decided to argue with us about it. We weren't asking for a refund (though a decent place would've offered one), we just wanted them to know so that they didn't serve it to someone else.

My husband and I walked in and stood there waiting for someone to tell us where to sit. Those working just stared at us. No greeting or even a smile. We patiently waited but after standing for 10 minutes, and I walk with a cane, we decided to leave. We did not feel comfortable, it was like they didn’t want our business. We never ate here and after reading the reviews and the experience we had, we will NEVER return.

This place has nothing to do with France, complete scam. I have ordered a plain crepe with goat cheese and jam on the side, server didn’t say anything. I got the crepe with a mountain of cheese inside, like literary I could barely see the crepe under all the cheese. And when I said this is not what I was expecting, I was told we are not allowed to serve plain crepes. Sorry, what?!😀 Maybe the attitude was French, okay. All the food we ordered did not have much taste of flavor, even simple apple tart. Not recommending this place!

Horrible customer service, rude staff, I was yelled at because I ordered a to go meal but my friends met me there and they told me I wasn’t able to sit outside and eat my food with my friends because it was a to go order and it wasn’t able to be unwrapped at the table.then My friend ordered a hot chocolate and the glass was chipped twice. Then I asked for a straw they don’t use or carry them. My dad was trying to make light of the situation and made a joke. The waitress mumbled Jesus Christ under her breath. Oh yeah snd you can’t use Apple Pay at the table when you pay. One thing after another. Horrible food isn’t worth it. I would never go back

The food was decent but not worth the price. The cappuccino tasted terrible and be aware that the prices online are not the prices they charge you go to pick up. $2 - $4 MORE! Also, they stated they would substitute a cheese on a crepe but instead charged an additional $3.00. 10/10 would not return.

The food is good , I always feel so bad for all the waitstaff they truly are miserable people and it reflects onto the restaurant… I feel going into a restaurant and when the energy is so bad it’s not such a great environment to be in , I feel when the owners son and wife Matilda were running things they had better staff , I feel the real issue is if a person on your party wants to have a bite of your food they charge a $5 sharing charge I find this policy very odd also the staff does not suit the restaurant and the owner does not care at all and the disrespect I have seen to the elderly population of Boca is disgusting and shameful , how do they live with there self !!! Service very slow, and the servers were not friendly. I didn't see one of them smile. They didn't come back to check on us. It was like a chore that they were working there. The food is always delicious, but a more cheerful atmosphere might be nice...play some French music or something to brighten up the ambience!

We came in to have lunch. No one greeted us. Not very friendly staff. I ordered French onion soup. It came out with sprinkles of cheese , not melted over the soup the way it should. I it’s unfortunate. It used to be a great spot

This place reminds me of the nicer cafes in France. The staff was polite and efficient, the food was very good. My wife had the quiche Florentine with homemade vegetable soup and she enjoyed both. I had the Parisian sandwich with prosciutto which was also good.

I came in there about 3 weeks ago. I was by myself. When I chose a table that sat 2 to 4 people, I was rudely instructed by the server that one person could not sit at the table I was sitting at and told to sit at a smaller table by the door that was for one person. When I told the server that I did not want to move, she rudely told me that I would not get waited on. I had no option to order 2 meals which I gladly would have done. What if I was there to book a group of 20 or more?? Then they would have lost all that business. I have been in the service and restaurant business for over a half century. Don't these people know the rule of thumb?? " the customer is always right. Even if they're wrong. With all the other negative reviews I've been reading about your place, may I suggest you go back to France and open your restaurant there. There are certain laws and suggestions on how to treat guests here in The States.

I visited the restaurant around 4:45 pm and stood by the front counter. There were 3 pastries and couple of croissants left. There was one occupied table so I when the waitress passed by ( without recognizing ) me , I waited for another couple of minutes and decided to leave. When I was leaving, I said, “ You must have been buzzy” which triggered the waitress ( who has been working there for a long time, so she said, “ I am the only one” .. I was leaving and upon leaving she said that I need to learn to be patient.. so, I came back and asked for the owner’s contact number. The waitress refused and escalated the issue because the 2 people in the restaurant started to scream at me and tell me to get out” Bottom line - poor service, rude staff - not worth it! I know many other places who can take my cash ! Hideous especially because I had my disabled mother waiting for a pastry in my car! Will never GO BACK ..

Service was horrible. The two servers had a hard time to even smile. They were acting like they gave us a favor to serve. First time we were there, but also that was a last time, never go back.

The staff is extremely rude. Today I saw the woman behind the register be extremely rude to a woman picking up a takeout order because she didn’t tip her on the tablet. I won’t be dining her any longer. That is no way to treat a guest.

I ordered a croissant and a sandwich to go and when I paid for my order the blonde woman behind the register decided to say “looks like you don’t care about tipping” which is BEYOND disrespectful and disgusting to say to a guest. When she gave me my food she then practically threw it at me. I cannot believe this is the service you give to patrons and expect them to return. Not to mention I saw her give attitude to a woman who came in whose first language is French — THIS IS A FRENCH BAKERY. Absolutely disgusting behavior by the staff and the owner needs to deeply re evaluate who is the face of their establishment.
