Visiting here from VA... came here to Banyan Tree for lunch... absolutely 💯% best Vindaloo I've ever had... never had Vindaloo with pork but now I prefer that version...everyone was super impressed with everything we had... highly recommend checking them out if you can...

We stopped by Oxbow for an early dinner and the food at Banyan tree was delicious. The pork vindaloo was so tender and flavorful and the rice was amazing as well. Definitely big enough portions to be full afterwards. The owner is extremely friendly and provided great service. Will definitely be eating here again in the future!

Stellar food and service. Oxbow is my favorite brewery, so being able to have such a great meal to pair with the beer there is awesome.

We had an INCREDIBLE meal from the Banyan Food Truck at the Newcastle Oxbow. The food was extremely flavorful and spicy, without killing our taste buds. The Puri were especially interesting as neither of us have had anything like that before! The butter paneer was the best butter paneer I’ve ever had. We will come back up here just to enjoy food from here again!!

Located Saturday’s and Sunday’s at Oxbow (New Castle, ME). Phenominal beer with amazing Indian food!! Great food at great prices with unbelievable service!!

These folks make bangin’ dishes. The rice they serve is a family recipe and it shows! 10/10 service, 10/10 food. If you’re a fan of food trucks, I can’t recommend Banyan Tree enough.

I can't rave enough about the food truck Banyan Tree! We tried the Butter Chicken and Lamb Keema, and both dishes were absolutely phenomenal. Even our 9-month-old loved the Lamb Keema. San, the owner, was incredibly kind and welcoming. It was so fun learning more about him, his family & his truck. You can really tell he's passionate about the delicious dishes he creates. We enjoyed our meal at Oxbow. Highly recommend! We'll definitely be back!

Seriously the best Indian food I've ever eaten. I grew up eating home cooked indian food, been to multiple Indian weddings, and lived near some of the best Indian restaurants in New Jersey, and this hands down was the best. I can't wait to come back. It's hard to pick a best dish, but I ate one of everything and ordered two butter chickens to go for tomorrow.

2024 update: food is still amazing, great new location at Oxbow Brewing. Butter chicken wings were a great idea, spicy pork vindaloo had tons of flavor, and the rice is to die for! July 2023: Awsome Indian food from a passionate family, and using local ingredients! Flavorful, a nice level of spice, and an old family rice recipe. The truck is on the east side of Rising Tide Co-Op, Sundays only.

Had a chance to try food from Banyan Tree this afternoon. I asked for no spice as I don’t like it hot. I still got tons of flavor some of which I have never experienced before. Excellent food at a fair price. Downright delicious. They were set up at Oxbow Brewery where they have a great deck overlooking a pond. A1 I highly recommend Banyan Tree Food Truck. I had chicken wings drenched in sauce with naan and jasmine(?) rice and peas. Yum

We are delighted that San and Florence have brought some delicious Indian food to Damariscotta. The first couple of times we tried to buy some, we got there too late and they were all sold out. It’s no wonder, the food is that good! After that, we never missed a Sunday with Indian food.

Truly excellent Indian food with a local twist, tucked behind Rising Tide Co-op. San and Florence are very friendly and fun to talk to. It's clear that this is a passion project. Stopping by is a joy!

The food is excellent! Until recently in the Damariscotta area, the nearest options for Indian food have been in Brunswick, Rockland or Chelsea. Banyan Tree is filling this gap, great Indian food utilizing local ingredients. I have tried the butter chicken and the palak paneer, both were delicious. Perfect with locally baked naan from Hootenanny Bread!
