They sat us at the most perfect table for my Fiancés birthday. Our server Shelly was amazing and so personable! We shared the Fillet Mignon and fettuccine Alfredo. Both dishes were phenomenal and their flavor profiles were spot on! They gave us a free dessert to celebrate the birthday as well. Definitely coming back!

I had the filet with asparagus and potatoes topped with bleu cheese it was truly exquisite. Possibly the best steak I’ve had. My partner got the pork shank and said it was absolutely fantastic. We ordered a few drinks, Al delicious. Marcus was the best timed everything out perfectly. 10/10

What a great little gem of a restaurant. We had dinner here prior to a GVSU graduation ceremony. Service, atmosphere and food was over the top wonderful. We will definitely be back, and will be recommending this place to our family and friends.

Wanted a nice experience for our anniversary. Tired of feeling ripped off by downtown restaurants post COVID we only wanted cocktails and light bites. We used to go to bar divani a lot ten years ago. Found posted happy hour there 4-6, better drink prices and affordable light bites. The last couple times we've tried to have a cocktail there the hostess looked at me like I had two heads. Too busy to accommodate us for cocktails. Once seated, our server informed us they haven't had a happy hour in five years. Okay, had a couple 18 dollar martinis and an appetizer and left. Like the space but will not return. They apparently are too busy to want our business. A shame. There are plenty of other better choices.

We had a small dinner reception in the Elevated Room at Divani on our wedding day in September, and were absolutely blown away! The food, the service, the atmosphere - everything was 5 star. Every single person we encountered was so kind and accommodating. Wendy was also an absolute DREAM to work with. I went back and forth with Wendy for about a year while planning our wedding. Celebrating here was the perfect ending to a perfect day, and we cannot thank you all enough!

This was our second time at Divani and they did not disappoint. As soon as you walk through the doors it’s like a warm hug. The energy is incredible. Quite the positive vibe. Molly the owner was so sweet and found us a seat at the bar. We were greeted again by Marcus who’s one of the best bartenders ever. He is so knowledgeable of all their liquors and his creativity is WOW; he has mad skills. We had the opportunity to say hi to Morgan who served us the last time we dined here. She is sweet, kind and it felt like reconnecting with an old friend. The drinks were outstanding and the food was out of this world. Honestly one of the best experiences. Marcus and Morgan were generous with their time and took a moment to snap a lovely picture with my husband & myself. We will return the next trip we have to Grand Rapids!

Dined here last night for Valentines Day; Morgan was incredible! They did an excellent job of guiding us through the menu and was super attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing, the atmosphere was very intimate. Fitting of a special night for both my partner and I. We will be back!

On a busy Saturday night, this was the only place that had a last minute spot for us, and boy, were we happy they did! We were even quite a bit late because we couldn't find parking, and when I called, they assured me that they would hold the spot for us no problem. We really appreciated that. My partner and I had never been, and the mushroom risotto and drinks were absolutely fabulous!!! Atmosphere is quiet and dimly lit, perfect for a little date night. Molly - the owner - was very attentive to us and talked to us like friends. We had great conversation. Can't wait to come back!

We had no idea this place was here. The atmosphere here is on point! The staff is friendly and the food was very good. I would say the menu was a bit lite though. I would prefer a larger selection. Like I said, the food was delicious, but it won't be a place i frequent. That being said, I recommend coming here. Also, our meal was very affordable.

Our company Christmas party was held at Davani this year & I couldn't have been more pleased! From the exemplary service, amazing food and cool cocktails Divani was spot on! The next time you are looking for a fine dining experience I highly recommend Davani!

My family and I went here to celebrate my graduation. The food was really good, however, the service was disappointing. Our server took about 10 minutes to arrive at the table and did not introduce herself. We had to ask another server for more water as our server was not near. We also heard other servers asking their tables what they were celebrating but ours did not. The atmosphere is cool and the food is good, but we were not impressed with our service.

Took my girlfriend to Divani for her birthday. Shelley was our server and she was beyond outstanding. The lights were dim and the atmosphere was romantic. OMG the absolute best experience ever!! My hubby and I were in town for a wedding and we stayed in downtown Grand Rapids. I googled romantic restaurants and Divani popped up right away! OMG IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The ambiance was amazing!! Carlie & Michelle were so sweet warm and welcoming! I asked for great pic worthy drinks and wow they delivered just that and more!! WONDERFUL Wonderful experience! We will definitely be returning here again!

What a great place! I had a private event here for my Board of Trustees and it was fabulous. Best staff ever... friendly, helpful, and attentive. We did family style food. It was delicious and plentiful. Really great cocktails and a totally cool and unique atmosphere. Thanks Divani!

We came on a whim, and regret nothing! You can tell that everyone here cares about food. The drinks were great, the appetizer was delicious, the main courses were amazing, and the desserts were sublime. We are told that the drink and food menus are rotated seasonally; so there is always something new. They also accommodate gluten free. We will definitely be back.

I highly recommend Divani for your next event. They just did an event for our nonprofit and it was incredible. Every detail was considered. The bartenders were so nice; the drinks and the food were delicious. And Wendy our event manager was amazing to work with. Seriously go here!

I was here for a graduation dinner. The ambiance was pretty nice, very calm vibes. I had a great server. Very attentive and humorous. The food on the other hand, didn't taste up to par. I ordered the lasagna from the menu (very small menu, not many options). I wasn't satisfied at all with the lasagna. The presentation was bland and the lasagna wasn't seasoned good. It was very dry. I called my server over to express my disappointment and to place another order, different from the lasagna. My server informed me that I would have to pay for the lasagna, including the additional meal. I asked if I could be discounted at the least for the inconvenience. My server said no and then I asked to speak to a manager which happened to be the owner of the establishment. The owner was very dismissive and lacked empathy. I was in total shock with the way she responded giving the fact that one, she is the owner, and two, we are the customers, here supporting her establishment. Would I return here again or recommend this place to someone else? No. Try it out yourself. You may get a different experience!

Every facet of our experience was fantastic. Marcus knocked it out of the park with every cocktail (we tried several). Their bone marrow is exceptional with a refreshingly different approach and flavor profile than most restaurants. We also appreciated that the bone was cut lengthwise, as it makes it much easier to access the marrow. Their charcuterie was the best presentation we've seen from a restaurant, and every element was delicious. For our main course, we had the pork shank and lasagna, which were both wonderful. The ambience was great and the restaurant itself is beautiful, and it's not stuffy at all. The service was wonderful, especially Morgan, who was kind, funny, attentive, and helpful. An often overlooked detail we greatly appreciated was how comfortable the chairs are. At risk of sounding snooty, we love fine dining and have been to many Michelin-starred and bib gourmand restaurants, so we tend to be more critical of nicer restaurants because of what we have to compare it to. Divani didn't disappoint. We don't have any critiques or suggestions and left completely satisfied. We went to a show after dinner and then decided to come right back for more cocktails, coffee, tea, and creme brulee to end the night. We live almost two hours away and will be back regularly.

This restaurant is amazing!! Our favourite in the city hands down !! We go there every year for my birthday now is become a tradition 🎉 they are so friendly from the minute you walk until you leave, we are never disappointed. The vibe is cozy, the chairs are so comfortable and we love the candle light ambiance. Now the FOOD is amazing 😍 the quality of the ingredients are top notch and everything we have tried has tasted amazing. This year we tried the pork shank and the divani burger and wow !! If you are looking for a great place to celebrate yourself or just a really good dinner experience you need to check out this restaurant. The price really isn't that bad considering how amazing the food is and we love supporting a local business!! Looking forward to going back again and again !!

Don’t come here unless you want to be scolded by the bartender and talked down to for asking questions about the menu. I have celiac disease so I have to be very careful when I dine out, and I asked if a certain drink was gluten free. I was immediately told I was wrong for even asking the question and then given an (unwelcomed) school lesson on how all drinks are gluten free. Ridiculous and embarrassing experience. Will not be back.

Divani is a really cool place for dinner and/or drinks. I had the mushroom risotto and it was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I also tried the pop rock and drop it, campfire martini, and espresso martini. All were delicious and super cute. The staff are all amazing - especially Morgan. She was so attentive and fun! Esteticamente bello, ma il cibo lascia molto a desiderare ,mi avevano parlato bene di questo ristorante ma la mia esperienza è stata pessima , un risotto pieno di pepe , impossibile mangiarlo e che ho comunque pagato , mi hanno portato il dolce torta al cioccolato , di almeno qualche giorno che non si tagliava neanche con la forchetta per quanto era duro , quello non l'ho pagato. Esperienza da dimenticare...non so che dire avranno cambiato chef o non era nel suo giorno migliore . Non ci tornerò più.

Bar Divani hosted our elopement reception a few weeks ago, and it was a 12/10 experience from start to finish. They were really quick with communication leading up to the day which I greatly appreciate! The food & drinks were INCREDIBLE, and the service was amazing. I really loved the ambiance of the space too. Highly recommend whether you're considering hosting an event here, or just stopping in for dinner. Thanks Wendy for all your help!

Ordered the burger. Made it very clear to be cooked mid-well. Came to the table well done. Wife sent her salmon back as it was over cooked also. The mixologist behind the bar was the best! Very good drinks. I would go back just for the drinks.

Bar Divani was a quaint restaurant with an old school lounge ambiance. There are dark colors and low lighting. The food overall was quite good, although I don’t know what the heck happened to the bread, it was genuinely the worst bread I have ever had. No taste, no browning, very soft, very cold, it was like wet flour. They served it with a roasted red pepper butter which had great color but again practically no taste. It was all calories for no payoff. Anyways, the rest of the food was good! Steak was cooked well and the red wine sauce was yum. A quick note that they only have one stall bathroom for each gender, so there was quite a line at times which was annoying. It was nice but also pricey and I don’t know if I would return.

We had a wonderful time at Divani’s. The food and service was top notch. We tried so many restaurants at Grand Rapids but this restaurant was number one on our list. They were so accommodating and kind to us. Everyone in our group of 12 loved their orders. The duck three ways, BBQ ribs and bistro fillet were AMAZING. For appetizers, pierogis, crab cake, guacamole and salsa, and of course cheese tray were our top favorites.

This was my second time here, and it did not disappoint. The owner greeted us and sat us. The menu is varied with seasonal offerings and several gluten-free offerings. Our steaks were perfectly prepared and tasted amazing. The desserts were equally amazing. We also had fun with Marcus the bartender. His creations on the drink menu were awesome, but I also challenged him with some custom drinks, which he did a great job with.

Friends of ours have been ranting and raving about this place for a while now. We stopped in late one night for a few drinks. The two people behind the bar were extremely kind. The bartender, Marcus (if I remember right) was and is exceptional at what he does. He made us a bunch of spin off drinks, his own recipes/twist and oh my goshhhh, they were AMAZING!!!!!! I cannot wait to go back. I have been telling everyone about this place and the bartender who makes top notch drinks!!! I’ll have to try the food next time :).

I've heard so many good things about this place, was very excited to try it tonight. Got all the way there and they weren't open. Doesn't seem that hard to have accurate hours of operation on Google, but maybe there were circumstances.

I asked for salt and paper for my Filet, the waitress said she doubted I needed it because it’s well seasoned, She provided the salt and paper and I did not touch it because she was absolutely correct! The food was immaculate and the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The atmosphere was incredible and definitely gives you the luxurious experience. It’s well worth it.

The food is probably hands down better than the other two very pricey steak restaurants in downtown GR. We had a small wedding here in 2019 and have been back for our anniversary dinner each year since. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. My husband and I went here for our 3 year anniversary and asked the bartender Marcus to make us his favorite drinks. They were, hands down , the best drinks we have had in a long time. On par with the drinks you would expect at a high end Disney restaurant. Molly, the owner, truly cares about the customer experience, she’s awesome. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Divani is so legit. This review is regarding my second visit to the restaurant but just for those following along at home, the first visit was easily a five out of five stars as well. Anyway, we went to celebrate my brother's 40th birthday, and Divani came correct. The drinks, the apps, the entrees, and dessert were incredible, truly. I can't say enough good things about the food; best burger in Grand Rapids hands down. All that being said, the thing that really sets Divani apart from other restaurants I've been to in the city is the service. They know how to make you feel comfortable, everything is taken care of and everyone was so friendly. Shelly was our server and she was on point in every way, expedient, gracious, and thorough. The one time she didn't know the answer to one of my questions, she brought the bartender, Marcus, over to shed some light on my query. It's a great spot, and I can't wait to go back again.

Attended a wedding event at Divani this weekend and was the mistress of ceremonies. Everyone was so awesome to work with, incredibly nice and the food and drink selection was top notch! For anyone thinking of having an event at Divani, I definitely recommend it. The service is next level, everyone is so kind and attentive and, in my experience, the event ran smoothly from start to finish. 10/10 would recommend. 😊

My wife and I are always looking for upscale vegetarian food (not just, pizza, pasta or a veggie burger), and we found a found it here. Wait staff was exceptional. We also enjoyed our table with a "loveseat" where we could both look out at the rest of the tables from the front of the room.

My husband and I made a reservation here for our 2nd year anniversary. It is not a cheap restaurant but the price you pay is well worth the experience. From the moment we walked in the service was welcoming and professional. The hostess kindly greeted us and immediately made us feel like old friends. Our waitress also made us feel like we were her only customers and wanted us to know details about the special and other menu items. The food was delicious. We had the charcuterie board and guacamole/salsa introductions. For the main course we had the bistro filet and the barbecue duck. Both cooked perfectly with delicious vegetables sides. They graciously gave us a complimentary dessert in honor of our anniversary. As we dined our water was kept full but we were not constantly being disturbed. It was a beautiful evening sharing a special occasion at a restaurant I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a “fine dining” experience.

We had a truly magical rehearsal dinner for 65 guests for our son's wedding. Wendy was wonderful to work with and truly made it effortless. The food and service were great, the room was beautiful. I coud not have asked for more!

The food here was pretty good and I really love the ambience. A bit pricey, maybe even more than a bit, but the service was phenomenal. We were greeted upon entering and the whole experience was very welcoming. Our waitress was amazing. She was very attentive and had a wonderful personality. The menu was quite small but everyone in my party loved their entrees. The filet mignon was really good. Not too impressed with the appetizers (all a bit too salty) but the overall experience was great.

The team at Divani were outstanding. I’d like to give a special shout out to Carlie. She took care of our party of 8 and did an amazing job. Would highly recommend this restaurant for people who enjoy good food, good wine, and great handcrafted cocktails.

We just had an amazing night celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents. The staff and owner of Divani, specifically Carly and Molly, were so wonderful the entire night. They accommodated us to the best of their abilities in a time where accommodation is difficult. Everyone loved the food, attention to the guests, and all the extra help in prep they provided. 100% recommend.

The pierogi was something special, and the pan seared filets were almost perfect if slightly over cooked for MR. Desert was the crème brûlée and it was excellent. Over all a great experience.

My (now) husband and I are big foodies. When we got engaged, our dream honeymoon was to eat our way through Italy. With COVID, those plans changed very quickly. We downsized the wedding and booked a small, local honeymoon three days before the wedding. We figured going somewhere nearby was better than going no where at all. We wanted to do a fancy dinner for our last night in town and happened upon Divani. The restaurant was dim and intimate, which was perfect for our little celebration. We were seated by a romantic table right in the window. We made it just in time for Happy Hour, and when I saw a "Pop Rocks" cocktail on the menu I couldn't resist the whimsy of it. It was delicious! Not too sweet. Most of our trip in town had involved food, so we were not overly hungry when we arrived. My husband talked me into trying the pierogis. The moment that first bite hit my lips I knew we had found something special. They immediately became the best food we had eaten all week (and it was a hotly contested title). The pierogis were quickly dethroned by our entrees. My duck was superb and perfectly crispy, but my husband's lasagna was like a slice of heaven. Everything here is made from scratch, and you can absolutely taste the love that Chef John and Sous Chef Casey have put into this menu. There were classic flavors, as well as fun new favorites, and every bite was better than the last. While the evening was already amazing from the food alone, Arielle and Analeigh really put the whole experience over the top. These women are so personable and knowledgeable. It felt like we were dining with old friends in their home. They took such amazing care of us, and for that I cannot thank them enough. When they found out we were celebrating our honeymoon, they took even better care of us. We laughed and trusted every recommendation that was made. I am hard pressed to think we would have had a better meal in Italy. Thank you again so much to Analeigh & Arielle for taking such good care of us. This was such a special evening well always remember.

Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, and great service! We ordered beer, but our friends ordered drinks and they were amazing (pineapple and jalepeno something). But the food stole the show. The pierogi's are very yummy and the calamari was great. The summer rissotto was some of the best I've ever had, and the scallop dinner was wonderful. We also tried a bite of the burger, but it was not something we would order again.
