The place used to be very nice and had the best coffee I town but now they cater more to the trendy people and tourists rather than coffee enjoyers. On 3 separate occasions within the last year my coffee has been watered down and on one of those occasions I completely tossed it once I got home. Personally would rather have Starbucks coffee over Baxter’s anyday now due to the disappointment I’ve faced. But honestly speaking the two best local places are Battlefield and Rhodested.

I'm a coffee snob and am not ashamed to admit it. Baxter's has the best coffee I've ever had that I didn't make myself at home. Always fresh. Never bitter. Excellent quality and flavor. You just can't get better coffee at a coffeehouse. Staff is quick and efficient. Love it!

Baxter's Coffee hits the spot! My frozen mocha, the Blitz, was delicious and stayed perfectly chilled throughout the drink. Even with a long line at lunchtime, the service was speedy – we were in and out within 5-10 minutes.

Love some Baxters. The only thing better than the coffee is the service! Highly recommend! A must stop when I'm in Somerset.

One of my favorite stops when going past Somerset. I thought I had already reviewed it or would provide some photos! Always love their flavor coffee selections. Free refills in house are a big plus. They are one of the few shops which have continued to keep their prices down to a reasonable amount.

I loved this place! Coffee was super fresh, hand so much to choose from, tons of variety and even if you don’t like coffee there is something for you! Also they have some baked goods too which I didn’t try, but looked amazing!

First time Baxter's customer, from South Florida. I was in town visiting my daughter in Somerset and she brought me here. Loved the atmosphere. Although there are many, every Baxter's feels different, but you can expect the same great coffee and food. I'm a Dunkin and Starbucks lover, but when I'm in Kentucky, you will find me at Baxter's now. Yum!

Great coffee and service. They have a wide range of coffee and tea to choose from. The shop is filled with cute items for sale. I no longer live in Somerset but always stop when I'm passing through.

I love this Baxters. I love the environment and it's super cute inside. It's a great place to have a date or just chill by yourself and drink your coffee. I love the chai tea lattes.

Iced dark chocolate coffee and a raspberry scone. Scone was delicious. This coffee order is a favorite. I don’t live here, but travel here and through here and go to one of the Baxter locations.

Excellent coffee…. Iced white mocha latte for me and sugar free brown sugar cinnamon regular for my husband. Great little shop and friendly staff.

We like to avoid big chain coffee shops when we can, Baxter's was promising as they have their own roasting facility. The coffee itself was so-so, a bit of a disappointment. Inferior beans, roasting process - I'm not sure what happened. Food was fine. Coffee was just not compelling to come back through and stop here.

I absolutely love their coffee and treats. This is exactly the pick me up I need mid-day.

Let me tell yall..in 2013 we moved to Al lower Alabama..from KY and I've been so home sick. So two of my sons are in ky and there like we have to take mama too Baxters.. man was I in heaven!!! Not only was the coffee good the sev. Was 100%!! I love how we moved to pick up our coffee i didn't feel rushed I also had to have some kcups.. thank you for helping his home sick KY Girl feel at home..thanks Carolyn K

My favorite coffee shop, hands down. We live about 10 hours away but we get Baxter’s shipped to our house to brew there. Whenever we’re in town, we make sure to stop by this place at least once a day. Great cold brew, fun seasonal creations, and awesome staff. Only complaint is that we don’t have a coffee shop this great closer to home.

Oh my gosh! This coffee shop is a gem! First, the coffee is delicious. I had the "spring fling" Iced vanilla latte, with Lavender cold foam.....so AMAZING!! I also had a scrumptious cranberry scone. Second, the staff are so nice and helpful with recommendations 😊. They made you feel welcome, just walking in the door. ❤️🧋

Wonderful coffee options. Great customer service and we love the scones and muffins. This visit we all got frozen coffee so Good. You've got to try the Heath Toffee. We love the hot coffee options also. Baxters is definitely a Favorite 😍

Baxter's is probably my one of my favorite if not my favorite coffee shop in Kentucky. They have great service and friendly workers. Their coffee has a really rich and robust taste. My favorite as far as bags of coffee is probably the dark roast columbian. As far as their drinks, their White Mocha Joe is probably my favorite. They have delicious pastries and goodies. I consider them way better than Starbucks and a lot friendlier.

The sugar free White Mocha Latte is excellent no matter which location we go to. Service is great and the quality of the products are great, too. (The pineapple orange muffin was delicious!)

Simply put, my favorite coffee shop. I travel a lot and it is the best I've ran across.

We visited this coffee shop nearly everyday because their coffee was so good. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was so accommodating for my wife and I to wake up in. If we are ever in town again, Baxters will continue to be our Go To coffee shop!

Great little coffee shop! We enjoyed some seasonal pumpkin and Cinnamon roll flavored iced coffees. We'll definitely be back to try the other tasty flavors!

Very fast making the great coffee, and nice service that showed me where to find the chocolate covered coffee beans.

Baxters was recommended to us recently. I decided to drive from London to Somerset to check them out. I wasn't disappointed. I bought their whole bean Breakfast Blend and Southern Pecan coffee. Took it home and brew a pot of each. Both are wonderful brews!

Always Friendly Service good coffee Little Pricey but worth it.

This is the best family owned coffee place I have ever been too. Anytime someone is in town that isn't from here, we always tell them they have to go. We also like to send gifts to our coffee loving friends and family and they have always been blown away by the quality. I no longer live in Somerset KY but if I am here, I always make it a point to stop in.

We moved a couple of years ago, everytime we come back to Somerset we stop at Baxter's. Do yourself a favor and try their coffee or tea.

Friendly helpful staff. Coffee is always good. Great selection, fair pricing on whole bean or ground coffee. Wide selection of gift items as well. Highly recommend you try this place if you haven’t. A true gem in the Somerset area.

What a great find today! I so enjoyed walking into this small business that was decorated with class and style. I enjoyed a chai tea with a banana nut muffin for lunch that was amazing. The service was friendly prompt and accurate. The people there took great pride in providing a great experience for everyone. Our country needs more businesses just like this.

Delicious coffee and muffins!! My choice are pistachio. Anytime I'm in town, I make sure to go to Baxter's. My daughter always brings me pistachio muffins when she visits. Baxter's is fantastic!!

Great place for coffee and muffins. Especially the pistachio muffins, according to my spouse. A must whenever we are in town. The drive through is good for saving time but you miss out on the charm of the inside. It's worth the trip inside.

My husband and I live 4 hours away and we travel to Somerset for the best cup of joe and an afternoon out on the lake. We always buy a couple bags of their ground coffee to take home. This location has a lot of charm and was recently remodeled with plenty of seating.
