My first time on Block Island. Spent my 4th anniversary 8/27 with my fiancee checking out shops and hanging out on the beach. I did some GOOGLING for what we may want for dinner and these seemed like the place. Not one thing was bad. The staff were kind and polite. Service was quick. The appetizer and entrée were amazing. I am a picky eater but I tried a few new things and everything was amazing. If or when we go back to Block Island we will come back. I would highly recommend people try them out!

$20 for a plain Ceasars salad and a cup of water ( including tip). Too much

We didn't eat here, but the best Mudslides around!

We normally LOVE the Beachhead, but this season I have a couple of notes: the grilled hotdog bun provided as bread with the mussels feels like a cop-out. It is also disappointing to ask to sit as a double where there are five open four-tops and being told no, and having to sit in the wind only to look over later and sure-enough see that several doubles have then been allowed to sit at those same four-tops.

The hot lobster roll is the best on the island. Hot buttered lobster chunks and a toasted brioche bun! The seafood nachos are also a must. Stacey was a pleasure and very helpful with suggestions.

Good mid range / family restaurant just off the beaten path.

Everyone was really nice and accommodating. My son's act like a couple of loons and they were pretty cool with it. I got the Cajun Tuna Steak Sandwich, it was the right level of spiciness and tasted great. I really loved the pasta salad that came with it.

This place definitely added to making my Block Island experience more enjoyable! What an awesome array of food and all of it was good. Enjoyed a variety of calamari, mussels, shrimp tacos, crab cakes, clam strips, lobster roll, and more!

Delicious food and good service. Plenty of parking spaces.

First off, our waitstaff, Elaina and Jake were excellent! So friendly, responsive and fun. They definitely elevated our dining experience. We had 18 oysters and two seafood platters and beers. All good. Dog friendly too! You won't be disappointed, especially if you get Elaina and Jake!

Usually as long as one of our favorites. Every time we come here, we make it a point to go there. If you go, be sure to ask for Stacy as your waitress. She’s the best!

Very nice restaurant. The view is the most amazing part- can look across to see the ocean and the other direction to see the island. Tons of outdoor seating and good service. We are outside with a large group and had a variety of seafood. Enjoyed options such as crab blacked, lobster soup, cod, mussels. Crab cakes were really good and recommend. Overall really good!

1st time on island and menu at the Beachead looked good after a long afternoon at the beach. The shrimp tacos were amazing! My server Elaina recommended them and she was spot on! She was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Thanks!

My sister and I went to dinner on a Wednesday. Stacey was working and she made our experience fun. We watched her go from table to table and light up the customers up. We asked her what items she liked off the menu( everything lol ) but we ordered the seafood nachos and teriyaki steak tips. Nachos were a great surprise and the steak was perfectly. Cooked. Kudos to the chef. The entire staff is friendly, there was one other girl who helped our table as well. We decided last minute we wanted to try a mudslide. It didn’t disappoint. We dined at different restaurants all week and we decided this was our favorite. We decided to go again on Thursday. Alexander was our waiter, he was friendly and knowledgeable with the menu, he told us his favorites and we let him choose the appetizer lol Thai calamari or crab cakes. He also, recommended the John Daly. Soo…. Thai Calamari & John Daly to start both AMAZING. I had the lobster boil and my sister had the seafood diavalo( spelling ?) both are very good. I just want to thank Alex for his great service and recommendations. The entire staff are happy and you can tell they love their jobs.

Vacation time is good to find good place

We came for buck-a-shuck and it did not disappoint! It was my first time having oysters, and I really enjoyed it. Also as an aside, I overheard the staff working as a unit and making sure all of the guests were given the attention and food they needed and it was really cool to witness.

The shrimp tacos at lunch are bomb! And best lobster roll on island.

Food and menu not as good as 2 years ago. Rubbery calamari, weird red pasta salad as a side to sandwiches, wasabi peas on Waldorf salad? Seafood nachos were great 2 years ago; came out overcooked and dry this time. So disappointing! Even French fries were soggy. Service is good and porch is so nice.

Great place to eat. Clam chowder, crab cakes (wish portion size was slightly larger), and seafood nachos were delicious. Lots of seafood and cheese on the nachos. Need to walk along the road to get there, no sidewalk access.

Phenomenal dining experience at the BeacHead on block island. The atmosphere was great, the decor was impeccable, the food was delicious. The frozen mudslide was perfect after the short walk from the ferry. We started with freshly shucked clams, then steamed clams which were served with mouth watering broth (dipping the bread was a palate delight). The lobster roll was filled with large delicious chunks of lobster rivaling any other New England spots and the lobster Mac and cheese was outstanding. Our server Alex was very personable, knowledgeable about the restaurant and the island with a great smile. We met the owner Becky, who explained the history behind the restaurant. She is delightful, personable and an inviting individual who makes you feel right at home at both the restaurant and Block Island Make sure you visit the Beachead when you are on Block

After spending a few days on Block Island and doing lots of restaurant hopping my hubby and I both agreed that this was our favorite spot. Really good food that felt healthy. Vegetarian options were the best I found. Hubby had a lobster meal that he enjoyed too. Great drinks!

Fantastic little spot. Alexsander, our server, was fantastic. Quick lunch after a long morning at the beach. Food came quick and promptly - able to enjoy the rest of the day in town. Highly recommend for any occasion and any company you may have.

We had a delicious meal and fab service tonight with Stacy and Liam as our servers topping off our great time on the Block. It wasn’t our first time here and it won’t be our last!

Almost on a beach , behind the dunes, located sand bar with amazing views and great service! Block island atmosphere and clearly air of the ocean!

We stopped by here while exploring the island. It was a great idea since we didn’t have much time and the server kindly provided us with everything fairly quick. We had a few drinks, fresh oysters and fish. Nothing beats the view right in front of the sea. Everything was delicious!

You can't go to the magnificent Block Island and not go here 🙌🙌🙌

Came here for my anniversary dinner, ordered a meal that was supposed to have lobster, mussels, scallops and shrimp over pasta. Had zero lobster so I mentioned that the meal was great but when I asked where the lobster was, I was told the chef was in a bad mood and I still had to pay 40$ for a plate that was missing the one main reason I ordered it. Atmosphere was great and I would still come back, but the service tonight could have been better. I wasn't looking for a free meal, but if you ran out of lobster you could have at least reduced the cost of the meal. It's common sense

The food was really delicious. Our waiter was awesome, he was a young man from Romania who was working on the island for the summer. He was very friendly + attentive. My husband got the clam strips and the portion was huge! It's a little pricey there but affordable.

Very nice restaurant with an awesome view of the water. We sat at the bar and bartender was very accommodating and our food came quickly. The seafood nachos were delicious. I didn't have a mudslide but they looked huge and delicious. Great spot!

Went for dinner when they were still only open on the weekends. Can't wait to come back now that it's full season and they are open 7 days a week! The lobster Mac & Shrimp and pea pasta are my favorites, but all the dishes are really good. This is a must stop on the island. Stacy was our server and she's great! She'll take care of you and make you laugh! Our family has been coming out for almost 10 years and Stacy is our favorite waitress, and has served us at many a restaurant on the island.

We stopped here for lunch on a day trip to Block Island. Food was decent. Had a late dinner at the Beachhead tonight as we wind down our 2 weeks in Block. Stacie was our waitress and she was awesome! We met her years ago at another restaurant and she made a lasting impression with us and our kids. We were so happy to see her tonight. The service and food were great! It was our last evening on Block Island and decided to have an early dinner at The Beachead overlooking the ocean. Being it was early we got a table for two on the patio and ordered some drinks. The Michelob Ultra’s we ordered were not available, so we changes to Bud Light only to find out that the Bud Light was warm. Ok, we settled on Corona Lights. Corona Lights are served with a lime wedge and when they arrived there was no lime so we asked the waitress for the limes only to be told they don’t have any. For dinner I asked for soft shell crab, only to be told that it is only served at lunch. Being it was still early and many empty tables I asked if the soft shell crabs could be served as a dinner entrée. I was told, NO! So we paid the bar tab for the improperly served Corona’s and went to a better managed restaurant that met our needs.

On a cool Saturday night, my family and I had one of the best dining experiences on Block Island. This was a great place to go with our new acquaintances for a late lunch / early happy hour. We each had 2 dozen buck a shuck oysters, buffalo wings and fries! Yum! Service was efficient, seat was quick and pleasant outdoors under the umbrellas! Perfect!

Beachead hosted a fantastic cocktail hour, dinner and dessert for our wedding of about 45 people. We had a variety of passed apps like mini chowders, shrimp cocktails, pot stickers and more and they were so tasty. Everything was cooked perfectly and the timing of when food came out was also on point. The servers were happy, polite and added to the overall good vibes of our day. I also really appreciated Becky allowing us to cater outside ice cream as our wedding dessert instead of cake. Overall Beachead went above and beyond for us and I am so thankful. The decorations they put up in the back tent were beautiful and simple and I didn't have to lift a finger. As a lowkey bride who just wanted to trust the professionals I was so so happy.

We had clam chowder and the hot and cold lobster rolls. All were fantastic! The rolls were stuffed with meat and delicious, with a lot of extra flavors competing with the lobster.
