Disappointing visit after the reopening service was slow. Not like it was

A popular place with great food. Had a burger with fries and some chili. It was delicious

I miss things like shepherds pie and chicken pot pie. I didn't see many healthy options or gluten free options.

Since the new ownership, we enjoy coming here with the new menu and new hours. It fits our schedule at home and we enjoy the variety of choices and times when it is not so loud when the workers come and eat.

Ordered a reuben. It was very light on the meat. Not the best....

Older bar... we stopped in here based on a recommendation from a friend, but I'm questioning that decision.. when you walk in, it's apparent it's an older local bar.. food was decent, nothing I wouldn't order again, but just "fine". Service was "ok" until I was brought the check before I even asked for it.. ordered another beer which took 15 min with only 10 people in the entire restaurant..Clearly a local hangout only.... likely won't be back because plenty of other places to go....

I've been here twice, and both times, I've had a great time. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Today, my waitress, Gabby, was very good and attentive. It was lunch when I was there, but was not too crowded, and food came out in a reasonable time. If you are passing by or live in the southshore area, you should definitely check Beanies out.

Sad to say. We stoped in at noon yesterday Seated in booth near bar. Waited 15 minutes. No one stoped to take our order. I hoped the new owners would have better service. As we left 3 people were standing in cooking area. I have been eating at beanies for over 20 years. Sad.

Well I didn’t get a chance to actually eat at Beanies. At noon I pulled into to Beanies to try the Reuben sandwich. It’s an older building that Looks like it’s been there for 40 years. I sat at the bar and as I was ordering a German cockroach presented himself on top of the bar, crawled from under the bartender side, and proceeded to crawl across the bar right in front of me and the waitress. The waitress had just set my ice tea down on the bar when I spotted the roach and I said I’ve changed my mind and pointed to the roach. She smashed it with her table cleaning towel and I exited the establishment. Look, there is a reason that restaurants remodel every five years or so. Because you just can’t clean the nooks and crannies of a restaurant. Underneath kitchen equipment behind seating booths behind the refrigerated units, etc. and German cockroaches are a real serious problem. If you’ve got one German roach, you’ve got 100. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Maybe the food is good, but I’m not willing to take the risk that everything was crawled on by roaches. To the restaurant owner if you’re reading this, get some professional assistance.

BEANIES SPORTS GRILL, 2002 US-41, Ruskin, FL If you love sports and good food, you will feel right at home at Beanies Sports Grill. This restaurant has an abundance of both. A friend brought me to this restaurant and you will know you are in a sports bar the minute you walk in the door. Sports memorabilia lines the walls, televisions throughout the restaurant are streaming sports highlights and even the tables are sports oriented. My best surprise came when I looked at the menu. I’m from New York and the word, “Reuben” caught my eye. My instinct told me that transporting this NY favorite to Florida would certainly lose the original flavor and the ingredients I loved about this choice so I was hesitant. Other choices caught my eye such as a corned beef sandwich and a Mahi sandwich but the Reuben won out. I have been to restaurants that claim to have Wings as good as they serve in Buffalo or Fish and Chips as good as London but my feeling is, you can take the food specialty out of a city but you can’t take the ingredients that make it special out of the city. The Reuben was close enough that it’s my “go to place” for a Reuben. This is a Sports Bar and most customers will be happy with the many choices presented.

Yesterday a friend of mine who flew in from Wisconsin wanted to go to Beanies and have a pastromie sandwich. because he hasn't had one for a while. He said he was disapointed and it wasn't up to the Beanie standards. My cornbeef was fine. I am sorry it was a rubin. No he said it wasn't bad but not up to Beanies standards.

They have great Maui and specials. The prices have gone up but good is good.

I went once and really like my Rueben so I went back again. Grilled shrimp were delicious. We took the last spot in the parking lot but were seated immediately. The place is BIG.

Server was very patient and didn't rush us. It was our first time and all of us were happy with the quality of food and the service.

Nice casual family friendly restaurant. Service has always been great. Food has never disappointed.

My wife read an online article on best Reuben sandwiches in Hillsborough County, and Beanie's was on the list. The Reuben is my favorite sandwich, so we made the trip to Ruskin to give it a try. It was excellent. They made it perfectly. My wife's B.L.T. was very good as well. We had excellent service, and they had other sandwiches that looked good for a second visit.

Friendly good food great value great service!

Had a big take out order ($150 plus tip) We were missing one whole meal, no napkins, no silverware, no mustard for hot dogs, and the burgers were dry and burnt. kids didn’t get their drinks for their kids meals. The Ruben isn’t grilled it’s just on rye bread, and the fries were cold and soggy. A total waste of money.

They close early, so head over there earlier. The wings are great and they are not tiny, which is nice! First time having garlic butter as a sauce, and it was good. The Beanie Burger is huge and definitely a sharer! I would recommend this for families or any size group!

Website says they are open, but there are not. Disappointed.

I ordered a cheeseburger with onions pickles and mustard. This is what I received. I’ll never be back. From Friday night. Guess the cook was drunk. What a joke.

Good food and good pricing all around.

Had dinner here April 5th. It was fantastic, my husband had the pot pie and I had the fish basket. Both were above our expectations. The service was also fantastic. Our server made sure we wanted for nothing. Always on top of everything. And they were busy. We will definitely be back

Nice sports bar in Ruskin. Typical type of bar food, burgers, wings, sandwiches, etc. What was different is they have a daily special and bigger entrees. There were a lot of people eating the spaghetti and meatballs and it was a big portion and looked good. They also have baskets that comes with two sides. I chose the fried fish nuggets and I was surprised that there was shrimp in the basket to. For my sides I had the cole slaw, and upgraded to the Gouda Mac and cheese. They do offer grilled or blackened as a choice as well. They have a large selection of appetizers to. Prices are typically as other places $10+. They also have a full bar, plenty of tables for larger parties. Definitely easier to get to from Parrish instead of trying to get to Bradenton. It also seems to be a place that older citizens like to go to, there was a bus load from Sun City having dinner when we arrived but out wait time was minimal. This is a place I would go back to.

Excellent service, our waitress was very attentive. Food was delicious and came out hot. Wings were cooked to order, and the fish nuggets were really good. Will be returning.

Terrible ! My husband ordered a Rubin guess they don't know how to make one . The bread was not grilled . No dressing on it . I and my friend ordered the Larry bird , Was way over cooked . Our other friend ordered a burger , he liked that . Ordered Unsweetened ice tea was brought sweetened . Food was terrible , will not be back

Absolutely love this place. Really hoping the new owners don't change it too much. That would be a huge mistake! These local flavor type bars are disappearing all too quickly and replaced with flashy establishments

Bennie's was clean, the Ruben and potato salad I ate was excellent. The waitress was fantastic. It was a little loud as it was very crowded. However the food and drinks were served quick.

The best place in town for a meal or a quick bite. You have to try the loaded chips. One large order is enough for two or three people and they are Delicious.

Tried a Rueben sandwich to go. It was ok, tasted good but I've had better.

Decent local bar and grill. This place has a lot of seating and the bar is usually crowded. The menu is small but the food is solid. Used to have a bigger and better menu. I hope they go back to an expanded menu with more options. Waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable. The place can get pretty loud when the bar is full. Prices have gone up like everywhere else but they dropped some good items like the chili hot dog. Please get that back on the menu.

It's a nice little place to go.for.lunch. place was.empty at 11:30am but it got busy past noon. Food was good as usual.and service was ok, as our waitress was in training. Overall. A pleasant experience.

Our local favorite for cocktails and great food. Staff is friendly and attentive without being pushing or hard to find. Someone is always available and glad to help you out. Have never had a bad meal here! Check them out!

Just a small town bar-and-grill. They upgrade to more dinner selections. In the winter months, the burgers were a half pound, and the ruben was fantastic .

Changed menu which is smaller and eliminated some if our favorites.

Have been coming here with my Mom for lunch for a few weeks and im blown away each time. First time we got a Chicago dog and Italian beef, was really good. Second time we got a Rueben and The Beanie Burger, which is probably my favorite. Third time we got a Tuesday special Taco Salad and The South of the Burger. Can't wait to bring my husband one day, I think he'll love it. Truly enjoy the small town, small bar atmosphere! Friendly staff snd they keep it very clean!

Have always enjoyed their Ruben Sandwich, but this time, it was just okay. It has lost its wow factor. Will not try again for a while.

I think of this place as an upscale dinner [lots of choices and comfort food] with a bar. Don't go for the wine selection. Go for the comraderie and a decent meal. Okay prices.

Very busy. We sat at the bar. Breaded fish with fries and beans were good. Hamburger ws good. All foodcandcservice was good. This was our first visit, we will go back.

My wife ordered a BLT which had two pieces of bacon on it compared to the Beanies Beef which is packed with meat and she asked for more bacon and was brought out two more pieces of bacon , my wife got upset the sandwich was a joke compared to the amount of meat that presented on my Beanies Beef.

Food is O.K., nothing special. Just average food from a bar. Great prices on alcohol or beer. If your in the area why not try it out for yourself.

As we arrived on a very busy Wednesday early evening, we figured it must be a good place. Well, they did not disappoint. Hubby had a cheeseburger and fries, and I had the Beanies beef sandwich and coleslaw. Although it wasn't up to the Chicago Italian beef I know from my childhood, it was still very good. The portions were appropriate (not huge like some places) and the prices were reasonable to match. The service was very quick and friendly, and the table was clean. We really had no complaints whatsoever.

Natalie certainly knows how to treat clients. Enjoyed her service and the food was very goo and right on time.

This place gets really busy super fast, but for good reason. The food is pretty darn good as were the drinks. We have only been once, but we will be back for sure!

Beanies immediately gives you the Impression that it’s a place that’s been around a while and is very popular with the locals. Once you get some food you’ll understand what it’s about. The food is home style and delicious. The prices are very reasonable. The wait staff is efficient and friendly and the customers are colorful. We enjoyed the experience very much and will definitely go back again.

Have been several times with other people and always found the wait staff to be excellent with a welcoming atmosphere but the food I have had has been less than expected for the price. I had chicken parmigiana which was barely warm and the spaghetti was hard in places. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were really hoppin’ that night but still gave excellent service.

The place was moderately busy. We were seated. The hostess said someone would be right over. We waited 15 minutes. No one stopped to say they’d be right with us. Nothing!! They went by us like we were not there. We got up to leave and the hostess stopped us to ask if we had been waited on, seriously!!! I’d been curious to check this place out. No worries, we won’t be going back, ever!! When family and friends come to town you can bet we’ll steer clear of there. There’s a lot of good restaurants out there, ones that actually wait on their customers. This establishment is on the bottom of the list!!!

Service was great, food lacked flavor. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, but the beef sandwich was dry and tasteless.

With so many places to try, it can be a real challenge getting to them all. Sad to say that we have driven by this place for the past 4 1/2 years and just now found the time to make the visit. No we are regretting the times we passed by! This is one of those gems that fits the area perfectly. Nice facility, friendly staff, and a pretty darn good menu selection of pub foods and other specialties. I opted for the Beanie's Beef as it was a slightly cooler than normal day and I have a thing for Chicago style Italian Beef sammies. I have to say, Beanies does a darn good job on it. Plenty of nicely seasoned beef and sweet peppers. Had onions added to mine. They serve the Au Jus on the side (piping hot too). and I also got some Giardinera for a little spice up. Good fries too! My other half got some chicken tenders that were simply perfect. Lightly breaded and very well seasoned. Those baked beans were awesome too. Cuz went with the Shrimp baguette sammie and was also perfectly made. So, it it is safe to say that Beanie's passed the test and we will be back, alot. Nice job!

Best Ruben this side of Florida. We are from CT, so we think we have lots of good Irish Pubs that serve delicious Rubins to compare to. Beanie's came very close to bringing me back home. Only thing I would change...The WHITE Thousand Island dressing...we are used to the Pink tangy Thousand Island taste.

Family owned sports bar. Good food reasonably priced. Menu has a variety from seafood to pub grub.

Comfort foods and standard tavern fare only done better. Their hot wings and burgers are fantastic! Expect waitress/barkeep abuse (kidding, they're all pretty friendly). Good place to catch a college game (they're closed on Sundays). I'm a HUGE fan of their bean soup. I frequently buy two carryout bowls every Thursday (when I remember it's Thursday). Both are my designated lunch the next day but only one ever makes it. Call 'em from Publix' parking lot in Ruskin as you're leaving from buying some Bill Knapp's corn bread muffin tops in the bakery. Soup'll be ready when ya get there. Pro tip: Pop those muffin tops in the toaster and be like Snuffles the dog. This soup is truly, better than Grandma used to make.

Always good food and happy environment better than Beef O Brady's for sure no attitudes here waitresses are very nice
