There is nothing to special about this place. The roast beef sandwich was good, no doubt. However, it wasn't something I would write home about. The sauces was okay. Tater totts were okay. There is too much hype over this place. The decor looks like it came from the 80s. The ordering of food was slow, they need to work on this.

Great Roast Beef Sandwich. I was telling my teenage son the day before that when I was young Arby’s was Arby’s Rare Roast Beef and it was actually really good unlike disappointing stuff they serve today. Well this is not only very reminiscent of Arby’s Rare Roast Beef but it’s better. Beefy King is actually older than Arby’s and I would guess that Arby’s copied them. A definite must go.

Darned good. The pork sandwich is always a winner, nice sauce offerings, and good coleslaw. Service is always fast and your food is made to order so it's always hot and fresh.

If you want a GREAT beef sandwich at an awesome price this is your place! Add a good assortment of toppings and tater TOTS it can't be beat. Friendly staff provide helpful advice on selections if asked. Counter service is usually quick; tables, booths, and window lined counter and stools for indoor seating. Drive-thru also available.

I like your barbecued beef sandwiches. I also like the barbecue beef with pork. It’s my go to restaurant when I’m in the area.

It was my first time here today and the cashier was very friendly and helpful. The service is quick and the environment was clean. The food was hot and fresh, the tots were definitely my favorite with jacks sauce.

Throwback roast beef sandwich joint that is absolutely the BEST! I recommend the roast beef with cheese and onions and a large order of spuds (tots). Hot ham and cheese is also amazing. Not a pastrami guy, but people rave. The roast beef sandwiches are freshly sliced from giant roasts to order. Then the meat is heated with a shot of steam which will also cook the onions and melt the cheese. So good! Also, it’s family run since the ‘60s. I started going in the late ‘90s and have seen generations of owners and staff kids grow up at this restaurant. One of Orlando’s truly unique experiences. Give it a try!

I was recommended that Beefy King is an "Orlando staple," and I was surprised to find that was correct as the establishment began in 1968. The service was a step above average. One employee assisted me with ordering their signature dish as another offered to refill my sweet tea, which was surprisingly not too sweet (a common concern in the southern USA). The original beef sandwich came with cheese and onion. The cheese was beautifully melted on top of the sliced beef and espite moist beef and melted cheese, the sandwich held together remarkably with very minimal dropping. The atmosphere was quaint but not without its charm. The interior appeared to be a barbecue joint from the 1960s, and I assumed this was the theme that the restaurant continues to maintain. I am excited about returning to Beefy King, and I suggest that you also try Beefy King.

Beefy King is God. Best part of Orlando by far. Gave 4 for atmosphere but I typically hit the drive thru. But they have an in line runner which is brilliant….nm changing it to 5 stars . The #6 XL is a masterpiece.

Established in 1968! The one and only. There is a reason. Freshly sliced meat to make each order. Very crowded and the wait is surprisingly short. Must try if you're in the area.

I’m new to the area, but this is my new go to for a great sandwich.

We came here with some friends one day for lunch. I had been hearing about the legendary Beefy King for about all eight years I've lived in Orlando, but I just hadn't made it out there yet. Shame on me, because it was absolutely perfect. From the beat-up look of the building, making it look like it was, indeed, made in the 60's. To the menu that was unapologetically simple. The ambiance of this place was old, comforting, and I could have stayed in that building all day long. It brought me back to childhood. Wonderful. The service was great. Easy. You go up to the counter, place your order, and retrieve it when it's done. Not a lot could even go wrong. As for the food. This was the true shining star of this place. I got an X-Large Roast Beef Sandwich with a side of Beefy Spuds. I also got to try a Regular Bar BQ Pork Sandwich with a side of Onion Rings. Just excellent. I won't go into too much detail, because with how much I loved this place, it's going to just sound sarcastic, but it was like some nice man made this food for us in a backyard barbecue. We all know that's where the best food comes from. The roast beef was good, the BBQ pork was good, the sides were immaculately crispy. You really just can't go wrong. Come here.

Long live the King! Food was DELICIOUS. We ordered the Roast Beef and Cheese, Pork Sandwich, and a Veggie. The slaw was crispy with a good sweetness to it. Also, don’t pass on the tots and onion rings with Jack Sauce! The retro vibe and friendly energy in this place is great. We met a gentleman who drove an hour to eat here… he had been coming for years, that says a lot.

Old school fast food diner, how things were back in the 60s'. Roast beef was delicious and the chocolate shake was a nice chocolate syrup blend. Pretty neat place to check out if you are around and want a bite to eat. Parking can get tight .

Incredible experience every time! Beefy King is a staple for my visits to Orlando. The value is great, the food is cooked right in front of you, and the staff is very friendly. When inside it’s like you’re in a time machine back to the 1970’s. Highly recommend for anyone visiting or in the Orlando area! Gotta get the spuds!

This place has the best pastrami around. I have heard that about their roastbeef but haven't tried it yet. I guess I will need to get two sandwiches so I can, but that pastrami is way too good not to order. I love this place and think that you will too.

I kept hearing about this place a lot especially on YouTube and Tiktok. So I decided to see what the hype was about. Its located in Downtown Orlando. They are mostly known for their Roast Beef sandwiches. It looked like the 70s inside of there. News articles, photos, and T shirts on the walls. I had the Smoked Turkey Deluxe with Tator Tots and a Root Beer. It was delicious! =D Excellent customer service. I highly recommend it. :-)

Quick note: When I tried today, they had drive thru only from 3:00-5:30. Other than that, it went quick. The roast beef sandwich was tender and delicious. I also ordered a side of SMALL spuds (tater tots) and they were crunchy and tasty. Not only that, it was such a generous portion for a small! I was surprised, but I definitely have no complaints. Very friendly service. I recommend at least trying them, this was my first visit.

Beefy King is an Orlando institution that I’ve been wanting to go to for years. If you are in the area it is a must try! The beef sandwich is great especially with the horsey sauce. But, the pastrami is to die for. So tender and the flavor is one of the best I’ve ever had. Service is fast and friendly. Exactly what a classic restaurant should be.

Beefy King has been a lunchtime staple for me as long as I've been alive. Great food, memorable decor, and that family-owned feeling you've been missing in a lunch joint. I always recommend the roast beef double with horseradish and BBQ sauce with tots and a sprite.

A mom and pop gem in the center of Orlando. The beef and pastrami is always a hit with their bbq sauce and if you want a kick add the horseradish sauce. Highly recommend this hometown establishment.

1/15/2024 This place has been a staple of the Milk District in Orlando for a long time. It is probably a little unfair for me to give it an atmosphere reading of 3 stars because the atmosphere is perfect for what this place is, but it is older and looks a bit out of time. The sandwiches are great. Get the BBQ beef if you like who you are. The tots are tasty too. The staff is all friendly and the place is clean. You do have to leave the restaurant if you need to use the restroom. Overall, I love this place. It's been around as long as I've been able to drive to the area. I don't get to go often, but when I do, I enjoy all the tastes and nostalgia that they serve.

As advertised. The food really is by far the best bang for your buck in town and it's not even close. It wasn't spectacular, but it definitely wasn't bad. For a quick lunch on the cheap, it can't be beat!

Fantastic institution in Otown. The lines can get long at lunch but it’s worth it. The roast beef sandwiches are legendary. I usually go with the #6 Roast Beef & Pastrami with Onion Rings, Slaw and a Pickle. Parking isn’t too bad and the service is always good. Love old places like this.

A family business that is an Orlando icon. Opened in 1968. Great inexpensive sandwiches, tater tots, and shakes. They are best known for their steamed roast beef sandwiches.

If you’re on the fence about going to Beefy King, just take the plunge and go!!! We’ve been trying to go for years but could never fit it in our vacation itinerary. We went for the first time today, the service was incredible, ambiance was very comforting, the food was exactly what we needed and the prices were on point!!! We got a beef sandwich, smoked turkey sandwich and pork bbq. Everyone loved their meals so much we got more to go so we had something for breakfast for tomorrow. Can’t recommend this place enough, we’ll be back for more Beefy King next time we’re in Orlando!!!!

LOVE Beefy King! However, at 230PM on a Friday, I waited in the drive-thru line for about 25 minutes and there were only 3 or maybe 4 cars ahead of me. Serious concern about the people hanging out of the parking lot onto Bumby. That said, I live in Apopka, so anytime I am over there, I always stop!

Great place to stop when in Orlando, good food and service. We made the trip from WI while on our family vacation. Definitely will return in the future.

You have to eat at Beefy King when in Orlando Florida. Its been open for more years than I have been alive (63). The food is fantastic & so simple. The potato tots are bestvever & I don't normally eat them only here. The cherry 🍒 milkshake is highly recommended or you will miss out.

My kinda place. Simply, affordable, nice people, good food Like that its just like it has always been since 1968. Love the bathrooms are outside. I was the first customer of the day. It was 10am and the food was hot fresh and quick.

A real slice of old Orlando. This place has old school charm and good food. Great lunch spot for a sandwich and tots. I recommend the xl beef and pastrami sandwich platter. The bread can be a little soggy at times, but the flavor is delicious. The tots and Cole slaw are the perfect lunch side. Don't forget your horseradish and hot sauce! **Update** I stand corrected, if you order the sandwich "no steam on bun", the bread holds the sandwich together much better. Been going for years and just learned that. 😉

I was a little skeptical with all the rave reviews but had to try the place and glad I did. Their roast beef sandwiches just melt in your mouth. The best I had. Also had the Ruben Sandwich which again was one of the best. The prices are reasonable. You can't go wrong here on anything on the menu. It is not a fancy modern interior but the food is worth a visit and I have beomce a lifelong customer. They even have a drive thru. You can't beat this place. Dining room is closed 3pm but drive thru is open.

Beefy King is a tradition for my dad not to eat at when I visit him in Orlando. This place has absolutely the best sandwiches you can get. If you haven't eaten here, do yourself a favor and try it out. You won't be disappointed. I've eaten here since I was a little kid and it seems like the food gets better over time. And it started out delicious to begin with. They got tater tots that are perfect!

Was recently here about 2 weeks ago when I was in Orlando visiting friends and family. And I gotta say, OMFG! HOW DID I LIVE IN ORLANDO FROM 1995-2016 Without EVER going here? This is a perfect “fast casual” restaurant. Good food, better service than fast food places, and only slightly more than your standard Arby’s/BK/McDs, etc. To anyone visiting Orlando beyond the parks and wants a TRUE feel for the city, this is the place to be. And for those who like drink, may I suggest Whiskey Lou’s Lounge just down the road for an after lunch/dinner drink? LOVED this place! Will definitely be back

This was my 1st time going here, and I had never heard of them. The turkey sandwich was delicious, and the roll was fresh baked. The employees were very friendly. When in Orlando, I will definitely be back!

Just had a really good lunch here about a hour ago! Highly recommended! The bbq pork was really good and tasty! They have tater tots, but I would have preferred fries! Lunch was fast and the crowd was moved through quickly! I will visit again!

Just kind of an Orlando landmark you must try at least once. If you can make off hours, I suggest it because man it gets packed.
