Great beef, the bread was perfect the beef flavorful. The fries were good but the cheese sauce was flavorless plastic, pretty busy for 4:20 pm but every table was a mess.

Gyro's are good. Soup is good. Hotdog deal is great. Pizza is a pass.

I must admit that my purchase here was worth every penny. The Double Cheeseburger, I ordered was right on time. The way they prepared and dressed the sandwich here was sooo! Seducing too my taste buds, & the freshness of the products used to make the sandwich couldn't have been any fresher! I can't wait to further explore the menu here, and they possess quite a variety of foods to accommodate your hunger or food desires. The customer service here was very professional and the restaurant was cleaned very well & all you could smell was "sweet deliciousness" being prepared in the kitchen.

This place stays packed with a line to the door. Started working close by and figured I try it. I'm glad I did. The beef, polish, and pizza have been good so far. It's a little pricy but so is portillos across the street

Blow out prices for NOT alot of food. I am going to say it like it is! This restaurant should TAKE CARE of their LOYAL customer's!! In my opinion, this place probably warrants an INSPECTION because as we ate inside the middle of the dining room, I was increasingly feeling alarmed at the amount of greasy smoky air in the atmosphere!! You can clearly see the vents all on the ceiling, but NONE were on!! It was an OLD OILY odor heavy in the air!! As we left I literally held the door open to vent it and then ran!! How gross!! We personally don't feel great about spending close to 30 dollars for skinny chincy beef sandwiches in a grease pit. You're lucky I did not call the city inspector so if I were you Beefy's...I would FIX your ventilation and FEED your customer's because now we will NEVER EVER come back.

REAL TALK, GO ACROSS THE STREET TO POPEYES, GO UP THE BLOCK TO PORTILLO'S, ANYTHING BUT HERE HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. First things first, they gave me a gyro plate without a clamshell container because they knew there wasn't going to be enough for me to take home, who puts cucumbers and green peppers in the gyro in the first place? No feta cheese, their fries were probably good when they made them, YESTERDAY! That soup is supposed to be vegetable beef, it looked and tasted like the dishwater from washing a beef pan. If all that garbage didn't cost me $18 I probably would have thrown it on the floor which I am regretting not doing in the first place because I have had three volcanic eruptions since I left that place . 🤢 Look at the lunch special board, $15 for a cheeseburger lunch meal? Where are we right now? Get real beefies! What you really need to do is get lost, You're establishment is going to ruin the southside's reputation.

I work nearby and this is the best place for a fresh salad with a freshly grilled piece of chicken. Highly recommend the chicken caesar and greek chicken salads!

Great place for great food. Arguably the best mom and pop shop around. I've gotten to try at least a quarter of the menu and everything Is tasty. They even serve soft serve ice cream! The one thing you can always expect is hot food fresh of the grill or out the fryer! Aside from great food. They also have great service. I once had an issue with an order and it was handled professionally. I have no complaints, just love for this gem of a restaurant! Will definitely keep coming back!

Came Sunday 11/26 after 8pm. There was no customers in the lobby and went straight to the ordering window. There was a female on the phone hiding behind the pizza who looked at us and kept talking on the phone without saying “hey we’ll take your order in a second”. We asked multiple times if we were going to get our order taken or not. The newer employee was nice enough to say he doesn’t know how to take orders. This all took over 10-14 minutes before our order was even taken. Never have received bad service here or messed up order but place has been going down hill so I have to say something.

Food is OK, but prices are ridiculous. They have a special chicken sub w/soup and a fountain drink for $14.99.Thats absolutely outrageous, and they call that a special deal.

The turkey subway is really good and the Italian ice (sorbet) mango, strawberry, lemon is delicious. Also the Chicken club sandwich is delicious(contains lettuce and tomato), For dessert vanilla milkshake or Ice cream cone or cup is really good.

With all the hype of the beef, I decided to order the combo. The beef itself was unfortunately dry, hot peppers were not so hot. Bland, dry, crisp giardiniera. The sausage was good. Overall disappointed.

Whoa! Ok. First off, absolutely delicious beef sandwich. Bread was great. Had some chew on it and really held up to the beef juice. Hot gard was very nice — great flavor and not ultra hot. Beef was very flavorful and had the perfect amount of dip. Also really generous portion at a great price. 10/10 My boy also got 2 slices of pizza which he said were very good. Fries…freaking outstanding! Beef w/ hot, 2 slices and a small fry for $20! Great value. Super delicious. Awesome awesome! No pics as the food was attacked and never had a chance 😬😬

Nice spot for a quick bite. Very good menu to choose from, they have everything here, beef, sausage, burgers, gyros, ribs, and some fish items. I had the double Pizza Burgers and it was messy and delicious. Good size portions for what your paying for. Large parking lot and tables or booths to sit in.

I have passed Beefy's probably more than 10,000 times in the 30+ years that I've lived in this neighborhood, but today was the first time that I actually stopped in there to try the food. I must say that I was very pleased with the extensive menu and delicious food. My ribs were generously portioned and meaty, and the sauce was outstanding! The large baked potato and delicious soup was icing on the cake. Needless to say, I will be coming back many times in the future for the ribs again and to try other items on their extensive menu. Patio had been my favorite place for ribs in the area, but not any more!

I've been coming to Beefy's for 10+ years, ample seating, good prices, and quality fresh food. Try the breaded steak with red sauce, it won't disappoint.

This place never disappoints. Great service and great food everytime. We had the gyros and seasoned fries. Lots of fresh meat and the fries were piping hot. Don't forget the soft serve ice cream!

Usually this place is decent, this last time there was no spinach for my pizza , no crush peppers, no parm cheese. On top of that the Mexican guy that answered was being rude, and rushing me. When I placed the order online, I put EXTRA sauce, and it came out as No sauce on their end. They made it the way they saw it, but by the demeanor I didn't bother to take it back because I could tell they weren't gonna do anything to fix it. A few months prior, (same Mexican guy that answered the phone in his early 40s) I ordered a pizza, then called back literally a min later to tell him to not make it, he answered by saying "Welllll Its already made and in the oven" In other words I still have to come it, I told him that's why I called back in hopes that it wasn't. He answered "Yeh we already made it". I proceeded to tell him why I was canceling (my wife already got food) he straight up hung up on me. 😡

I ordered double Italian sausage with red sauce and an order of cheese fries. Normally, the food is excellent but this time not so much. I ended up with food poisoning, I was sicker than a dog. The fries was good but the sausage or the red sauce was bad. The sauce seemed to be burnt and dark like it’s been reheated many times

A place for hillbillies with no taste buds. Never tasted such a terrible red sauce in my whole life. To reproduce at home just pull out a can of tomato sauce and add half a pound of oregano and heat it up. With a name like beefy’s one would expect their beef sandwiches to be tasty but again the secret ingredient in their natural gravy appears to be water. I’m sure they don’t like eating their own food and perhaps they don’t want to confuse their hooplehead customers by improving their recipes. I guess if people keep coming then it’s probably easier to just buy more stuff for the house instead of making their food more palatable to more sophisticated palates. I get it - this isn’t a 5 star restaurant but any hole in the wall joint in Bridgeport has better tasting beef and breaded steak than this place. Sorry to be harsh but it’s true. Don’t believe me, try their breaded steak. You’ll cry unless you’re stoned.

After reading reviews, I did not realize you ordered inside and then picked up your food at the window, but the gentleman allowed me to order the food at the window anyways and didn’t even mention the process at all. The Chicago dog “dragged through the garden” with the vinaigrette cucumbers was so tasty! The fries were exactly to my liking, thick ‘n crispy. The coke was even the perfect amount of syrup and carbonation. I felt good supporting them against Portillos down the street. We have to help keep our mom and pop food stands alive, it’s a major charm of the Chicago burbs!

Best pizza puffs anywhere. Five people were working and busting their tails and still seemed to need more help with the phones. The wait is worth it, just be warned. The take out business was something else.
