Great beer and weinerschnitzel.

Second time we went, one week after the first time. Went with friends and if you like to drink...German Chocolate Cake Shot, I found my favorite shot.

We went to Euro cup. You seated yourself. We ordered fried pickles to share. It has light batter and salty pickles. I ordered corn dogs with season fries. The corn dog is pretty good. The battle is sweet and crispy on the outside. The hot dog got snap when I bite into it. It is not salty. The fries are season and crispy. The pretzel is good. The server was good with busy crowds.

they would not take a valid UK driver's license as a form of ID. We were kicked out at 10pm.

Great beer selection and excellent menu of delicious food items. I particularly love their quinoa kale salad and their bratwurst platter. You can't go wrong with either! And very fun trivia every Wednesday night via Quizfix. They're the most creative trivia contest purveyors!

We went for the happy hour. Had a paulaner weissbier that was fantastic!!! The food on the other hand, not so much. The wurst is ok, the schnitzel is good, and the the french fries with dills is a great side. The warm potato salad is a disgusting mush that does not have anything to do with a dish. The cold potato salad was a little better, but not much. These are NOT german salads. The bun was pathetic, from safeway. Sourdough toast is plus $1 per slice.

The Mac and cheese was not for me sadly. My boyfriend liked it a lot though.

Food is bomb and they have live open mic games as well! Fun times

This is NOT a dive bar! This is a great restaurant /bar. Super clean and wonderful decor, excellent service and the food and drinks were amazing. We had a burger that was the best ever !! Corn dogs and fries that omg adults love and the German chocolate cake shot was so good my husband bought me a ring after dinner!!!!!!

Come here fairly regularly with work friends and colleagues. A lot of space and good selection of beer. I've gotten food once or twice and it was a reasonable serving size for the price. Nice outdoor area and pet friendly. Friendly and attentive staff. Parking is a bit of a wildcard but there is street parking usually within a block if not in the lot across the street from the pub.

I recently dined here with friends for my best friend's birthday. The staff kindly accommodated our request to show the UFC fight on TV, which was much appreciated. Despite the crowd, we enjoyed our evening. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The pretzel and meat and cheese tray were excellent. However, the cider was served in a bottle instead of a glass, unlike our previous visit. Additionally, the burger was served without sauce and was quite dry. Pictures of the good food and cider 😁

I have to give 1 star as I had worst experience here. Came to here to watch soccer cup as they are advertising EURO 2024 games and lots of people came here to watch it. They had only 1 TV showing, and when asked about sound they had turned on subtitles. Don't advertise you showing games and not have TVs and sound set.

Dinner was ok, not the best I've had from these guys. I think they had better food 5 years ago. Kids meal came out later than the rest of the food and was extremely hot. They're busy, which is good for business, but I don't love trying to find your own table when it's standing room only, makes for the awkward moments when you are trying to sit at someone's table just as they leave, then the server has to wipe down in front of you.

We’ve been to a couple events here for our friends and yesterday was our first time hosting a gathering here for my brother’s graduation. Amazing amazing amazing! Thank you Chris for the amazing service and for being so attentive while dealing with around 30 of us. The food always delicious, the drinks always good. Get the wings!!

I went with a couple friends for brunch here and it was fantastic... The brunch was great, and I could tell they have a wonderful kitchen so look forward to coming back to try more of their menu! It's a beautiful and comfortable space too, with amazing beer (Kostritzer on tap is my favorite beer ever!) and a big four hour town parking lot just across the street.... Definitely recommended!!

I have gone to the Berliner a lot of times. I always give it a second chance because it’s so close to my house and when it’s good they food is excellent. Generally when you go n the service is bad, but the beers are so big that you don’t have to be checked in on to much. I’ve had bad experiences, there is another review of them derailing my birthday after party by cutting my friend off because he tried to order his first drink of the day at the bar. Traffic was terrible driving home from woodenville and my wife didn’t want to cook. I said I wanted to go to the Berliner because I wanted there chicken wings. I come in and order a beer from their bartender/manager and it gets dropped off by my waitress. My wife comes in about 20 minutes later. We wait. I finish my beer. We wait. Fortunately I have cash and after 40 minutes (from her arrival) and an hour after my first beer. We leave. Overall the food is good, the bar is loud, on there best day the service is ehhhh, on the worst it’s terrible. Even though it’s the closest place to my house it is maybe the only place in Renton on the do not go list.

Loud, decent but not great food, friendly but distracted service - but the BEER SELECTION IS GRAND.

It was pretty chill for a Thursday evening. Great service and food. I had sliders, my friend had the corn dogs. Yummy fries, I also got a salad that had enough dressing which is rare in restaurants.

German potato salad potatoes, bacon, sugar and vinegar. What was served me only had potatoes. Nourishing but bland. The schnitzel made up for it. Pom frits, in a German restaurant better than kartouffe salat?

Closest things you can get to Seattle german beer and food. Had the spatzel and brat. Spatzle was over cooked, but thw brat was nice.

Loud and fun, excellent service and great food

So-so. Had issues with the game sound -- at first it was too quiet and some music was playing at the same time. Didn't have coffee. Brat comes with what is clearly a store bought white bread hot dog bun from a bag; low-end diner level stuff. Homemade kettle chips were bland and got wilted quickly (should be put in separate plate/basket and not on same plate as meal imo). Beers are good, drinks were okay. View of TV from the beer hall seating is awkward, have to crane your neck, servers often in the way. Servers were also very super-obsessed with grabbing plates if people weren't staring at them. Had to catch a few of them before they snatched unfinished plates. We're watching the game, guy...

The best. Seriously the best beer in Tacoma. Order a burger med-well and you'll get it. That alone makes me want to come back. Perfect service. Prefect. Beer is heavenly. The landjaeger and cheese plate is amazing. But the beer.... thank you lord.

Great place but if you are going with a dog be sure to call ahead because they do rent out their patio - including weekend evenings - which means there’s nowhere to sit if you have pups in tow.

Absolutely the best place around for German food and beer. The service is amazing, great for groups, fantastic happy hour. Everyone loved it. Definitely get the pretzel!

Berliner is a certified Renton icon. Always a great selection of good German beers, and the food is legit really good in an authentic German way. I especially recommend the Berliner Platte for a group.

i was impressed with how authentic the menu was. this ain’t your braut on a hotdog bun with yellow mustard kinda place. super surprised to see Schweinshaxe on the menu, and it was excellent. the spätzle was soft and fresh. the pretzel was flavorful. far surpassed expectations

If you love German beer and food then this is the place! We had a few drinks and a cheese platter and everything was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great! It has a real european feel. We will definitely be returning.

Pub gets too loud for conversation. The food was very good. Servers were excellent and deserve healthy tips.

The food was good, they even had warm German or cold potato salad. The peels were on, I can't eat them. The server was excellent & very accommodating & knowledgeable about how your food is best, ie, getting the sauce on the side so the wings stay crisp. The atmosphere is good, although accessibility is 3 steps to enter.

Loud, warm and wonderful German Pub. Zack took care of us and he was perfect. The kitchen was clearly slammed, but he kept us posted and checked in frequently. The food was delicious and the prickly pear beer, a treat. We will be back!

Thank you Berliner! We had my daughter’s baby shower in the beer garden and though it was cold and rainy the fire pit and one gas heater kept us warm enough. (Though I was wearing thermal underwear and cashmere over it!) The staff is very accommodating. The service was fast, friendly and excellent! Considering we had 23 people and several separate checks. The sliders, corn dogs, pretzels, brats were a big hit. The fries were tasteless for some reason. Everyone who drank beer enjoyed it!

Great Bavarian beer selection! The food was a disappointment overall but a recent trip to Munich may have spoiled me in that regard. I mean how does a pretzel let you down? the sauerkraut...no, just no. The service is friendly and fast. If you're just looking for a good helles or hefeweizen then by all means do yourself a favor and stop in...but have other food plans.

Update from 3-9-24 Went back to our favorite pub tonight. Ordered two brats, nothing special. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive even though I could see no food being delivered from the kitchen after our first 10 minutes there....it was not very busy there at all. I had to go and look into the kitchen to see what was going on and Chris was nice enough to inquire for me even though he was not our waiter. When food came about 10 minutes later, my brat was underdone and the Caesar salad was wilted. Very disappointed, not a good experience, I left feeling upset...what's going on with the kitchen? I think there were three people in the kitchen. Did they forget my order? I think I have heard in the past that they have their own kitchen management, and the wait staff cannot ask them much. Is this true? If so, I think there needs to be a restaurant manager in charge of everything like most restaurants. We've had unusually slow food service a few times before too. Bar service was good as usual. Sad to say, not sure when we will return. ------------------------------ Great to see the Berliner Pub open again after over two years. We have been going regularly since they first opened years ago, except for the two years they were closed starting with COVID in 2020. We have been there twice since it reopened. They seem to have eliminated the full bratwurst bun which is disappointing. Now all you get is a little bun the size of a biscuit...our server on the first visit was good, on second visit was OK in general but didn't seem that attentive and actually left their electronic credit card reader with us and walked away after we paid. I had wanted to get a printed credit card receipt. Very strange. No thanks for coming in, etc. either. We just left their card reader on the table and left somewhat sad and disappointed since the service used to be one of their best features. They weren't particularly busy either.

Just a great place. Had the whole family with us and found the Stagg friendly, as always, the food was great Bavarian fare, and no rush.

First time coming here, great atmosphere was a lot of fun, I got the curry wurst, which I've forever been craving ever since I went to Germany, and they executed it perfectly it was exactly what I was hoping for! I'm a bit far away from this place so no idea if I'll be back a lot, but I do hope I'm able to go again because it was a great time!

Finally stopped by after meaning to try for over a year. Place was packed, with the band already playing Saturday evening when we got in. Took a minute for a waitress to see us to seat us, but from then on service was surprisingly prompt and friendly for a bar that was getting slammed. Beer selection is lovely, and the food menu was more expansive than I expected. If this is typical, I'll certainly be buying my beer and wursts here from now on.

We decided to return to the Berlinger to have lunch. The restaurant is unique, and has a broad menu (although obviously focused on German cuisine). Great, friendly service, and the beer on tap is fresh and delicious!

My son, now 50 brought me here for my 78th Geburtstag . When he was 18 we were in Munich. Of course we visited the Hofbrau House. Somehow my little boy managed to kill a liter of a good blond. Perhaps not his first venture into spirits. We spent three years in Germany and have been to three REAL Octoberfests. The Berliner is not quite the physical scope of the multiple huge beer tents in Munich, but, the joyous atmosphere, multiple good German brews and food still spark that bit Bavarian delight that remains in my bones. The Berliner Pub is the premier home away from home pub environment. The food is top notch, always excellent beers on tap, and a full bar. The fun and friendly staff with awesome owners Lydia and Dennis, make The Berliner the best place for a great dinner and drinks out in Renton.

Really great place. I actually love the atmosphere usually. This time it was pretty intolerable because the music kept cutting out.

This was our 4th visit there. During the summer we liked the food and taste of beer, no any complaints.However this time taste of beer was not good as before , all friends around the table complained to the waiter about the beer taste is not same as before it tasted as sparkling water but not as beer. Instead of trying to change it or offering new drink he said that nothing is wrong it's same drink. As a person in restaurant business if my customers complain about their purchase I always offer them new drinks or replacement. Our pretzel was tasted old , just warmed up in microwave before serving to the table. Decided with friends not to visit there next time. Because we paid almost $200 for 4 beers, pretzel, chicken wings and sausage plate. We should get good taste of food for the money we pay, especially after all of us mentioned that we were not happy with drinks.

This is one of my favorite places for comfort food and a good beer. You can't go wrong whether you decide on small plates or an entree.

Beer here is awesome for German draft and there are some craft rotators too. But the real treat *is* the German draft list--so many choices, and some styles you can't get similarly made by local craft brewers. Busy nights, getting your pint is now pretty quick! So glad that improved a ton, and food is faster now too. Berliner has a nice, bustling vibe! (｡•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧

This German inspired gastropub in the heart of downtown Renton is a must! (Note: easy free parking in the lot right across the street. Always a perk!) Upon entering, the atmosphere is fantastic. The firepit, decorations, traditional Bavarian style details even down to the nice dark wood paneling and large beer hall style communal tables, the place feels so inviting and lively, and cozy! Definitely reminiscent of the many beer halls I’ve visited whilst in Germany. (Sure made me miss it over there! But was a nice little taste of Deutschland right here close to home!) Along with the communal style tables, there’s also a nice range of other seating options, with smaller tables and chairs placed around the pub, a bar with stools for seating, and many other spots like the long wall bench on one side and tables/chairs on the other. The beers were crisp and tasty, and of course served in a classic beer glass (you can get a .3L, .5L, or 1L size☺️) The steins that line the walls are an awesome touch and apparently are part of their Stein Member Program! So cool. When I visited, it was cold and rainy so I didn’t have a chance to check out the outdoor patio/ beer garden but I can’t wait to come back and enjoy it on a nice sunny day!

Fantastic German happy hour and beer selection with a very lively enviorment. Definitely recommend the pretzel to share and a litre stein of Weihenstephan. For full meals you can’t go wrong with the Spätzle or bratwurst.

Great food reminds me of Stuttgart. Love that they serve radishes with the wurst platter. They make their curry ketchup. Highly recommend. Sad they don't make their own dessert though. Service hasn't been great the last 2 times we've been. 15 minutes or more for beer.

Service was awful...took a hour to get our food. Potato salads were atrocious and NOT German. Sauerkraut was super sour and zero seasoning. Plopped it out of a jar and it wasn't cooked. Schnitzel was overcooked and dry as a bone. Not going back. It's just a pub with lame "German" food.

The sausage plate and pretzel at Berliner Pub are absolute favorites of mine! Actually, everything on their menu is fantastic. A great spot to enjoy delicious food across the board!

When it comes to German style food, this place is on point. A popular place in Renton the vibe is very upbeat bar trendy, good for anyone. While the bar is good, don't miss out on the German style food is a can't miss.

This place is one of my favorite joints. The food serving size is just ginormous! I never leave here without feeling like I'm going to explode ... Everything is great, but I am very partial to the kale salad, the variety platter and hamburger sliders. The drinks are always a hit. My favorite would have to be their pear mule.

Terrible food, great service and an atmosphere. We ordered burgers, wings and fried pickles. Burger was 1 star, the most terrible burger I have had. Wings were uncooked. Pickles were tasting like old oil. Definitely not a 4.5 star place. Beers are good tho.

***update 3 years later**** Used to be a good bar, not sure what’s happening but service is really bad, no one talks to you. I came in it’s almost empty l, 4 people in shift, we’re sitting at the bar for like 10 min and no one will talk to us. We get up and leave as the bartenders and waitress looking at us leaving and don’t bother to ask what’s up. Never seen such a bag hospitality ————— Food is great. Beer selection is refreshing! Service is a little slow but I guess I don't have to rush all the time.
