I was in Albany at a work event and found Bespoke on google. I AM SO HAPPY I DID!! I definitely recommend and will be returning the next time I'm in the area or passing through!

Let me first start off by saying I found this place on google, so we decided to go we ordered our food oxtail with rice and peas and two orders of 3 the hard way. The staff were very friendly and polite which was a plus, we went there as customers and left a family. When we got home the food potion was huge and filling some of the best food I’ve ever had. This have just become my new favorite place to eat…..I would strongly recommend this place to anyone.

I traveled here after reading several glowing reviews. I'm glad I read the reviews first because this restaurant is located inside of a Celtic community center. I enjoyed the bagpipe practice in the parking lot. Inside I found the staff friendly and laid back. I had to wait about 20 minutes but boy, was it worth the wait!! I ordered chicken rasta pasta, oxtail and rice and peas with plantain. Everything was perfectly seasoned, made fresh and generous portion sizes for the cost. My critiques are about the ratio between the oxtail and rice and peas; imo there should be more oxtail. The plantains were perfection! The chicken rasta pasta was creamy and not too spicy, exactly as I requested. The only critique here is I think it should have more veggies ( peppers, onions) to balance the richness of the sauce. Overall, a great meal for a decent price. I'll definitely be going back!

Our usual spot wasn't picking up the phone, so we tried this place instead, and I'm hooked! Best Oxtail I've ever had, I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Rasta pasta was great I’ll be ordering from here again! Her cooking is authentic and she gives a lot of food. Being from CT where there is a lot of Jamaican food and moving to NYS where it is very limited with authenticity and flavor in my opinion… this is the best Jamaican restaurant in Albany in my opinion.

After passing by the Celtic Hall at first, not knowing this was the location of Bespoke, we made it to eating some of the best food I've had in Albany. I had the jerk chicken with cabbage, and my brother and I each split our second sides; mac and cheese and plantains. He had mango jerk chicken as his main. It was all excellent. I should have taken some of it home it was so much food but I couldn't help finishing it all.

This was our first time here. Greeted very warmly by the chef(female, sorry I didn't get her name). I got curry goat with mac and cheese and everyone else got jerk chicken rice and peas with cabbage. When I tell you everything EVERYTHINGGGG was delicious! The curry goat was falling off the few bones in it. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and yummy. Jerk chicken was delicious with a little kick. That gyyyod damn cabbage omg it was so damn good!!!! And do you see the portions!? I will most definitely be going back there.

Located in the Bingo hall.. Thank you for the excellent service On Sunday! I ordered the oxtail with macaroni and cheese, rice and peas with a side of plantain .The food was delicious. If I had more time I would have played a few rounds of bingo.. nice cash prizes.. probably my favorite Jamaican experience in the Capital district! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Can’t lie this was my first time trying caribbean food. But this food makes me want to try every caribbean restaurant i find now. Sadly i was visiting my sister so i can’t come here more often 😭 but every time i visit i will be sure to stop by. My favorite was the mango jerk chicken, but all the food was phenomenal. All the sides were cooked to perfection and portions are sizable. Highly recommend their mac and cheese, cabbage, and beef patties.

We all immediately started devouring the food as soon as we made it home forgetting to take pictures or even speak haha it was soo good.. everything down to the rice was packed with perfectly balanced bursting flavor ..and the portions were huuuuge and soo affordable.. we were all so stuffed we couldn’t move and still had plenty of leftovers ..this is automatically becoming a regular take out spot for whenever I have friends or guests or just need some good ol comfort food 🤤🥰

I will start by saying my wife suggested this restaurant I was skeptical at first but it was a hidden gem. I’m glad I listened the food was delicious. My wife had oxtail with rice and peas I had mango jerk chicken. The oxtail was excellent and the mango jerk was amazing. The layout is a little different as the sitting isn’t like your typical restaurant. We will be back when we’re in the Albany area.

Hands down the best Jamaican food I ever had since I moved to Albany. I highly recommended and give a 10 out of 10. It's really hard to find such good, flavorable food out here.

Absolutely the best Caribbean food in the Capital District!!!! You will enjoy everything on the menu!!! Call ahead is best as some menu items are prepared when ordered.

Hidden little gem that's inside the Celtic hall. They make you feel like family when you're there and the food is great. Reminds me of home and it's worth finding.

I used Google and found this restaurant. I liked the reviews, so I placed a Curbside Pickup Order. The Lady who took my order was super friendly and very thorough. I ordered Three the Hard Way with rice and peas and cabbage. I added a side of Mac & cheese and plantains. OMG! It was SO MUCH FOOD...AND it was still hot when I got home! Well, the Jerk chicken was very palatable (most jerk is TOO spicy for me). Stew chicken and curry chicken were very good, as well! Cabbage, rice and peas and plantains were good. Mac & cheese was okay. (I'm a hard judge of Mac & cheese. It needed a little more flavor.) Overall, I will certainly order again!! I'm looking forward to trying more dishes!! Price was great considering how much GOOD food you receive!! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Everything was fresh, delicious and home cooked quality.

I had really been craving some delicious curry chicken (or goat). I chose this restaurant due to the excellent reviews. I suppose I went on the wrong day (Sunday afternoon). I politely greeted the gentleman, who was not pleasant or welcoming. He initially said that he did not have the curry chicken ready (I was prepared to order the goat). He also told me right away that he didn't have rice & peas and handed me a "to go" menu (although I hadn't even asked for either one). Once he saw that I was determined to order, he said he had the chicken. After waiting too long for my order, it was finally ready and I was told there was NO chicken on the bone.. I would have definitely ordered something else. I never had curry cutlets and never want it again. The cabbage was nasty and the plantains were burned. Weird, disappointing experience. PROS: Mac & cheese was good and a nice lady came in as I was waiting. She was very polite and professional.

The food was really good. We did take out. Shrimp spicy penne and jerky chicken. With french fries. Looking forward to coming back. The prices are extremely reasonable. Big portions too. Looking forward to leftovers!!

The food is great! The staff is friendly. I get dinners here often and never have I had a complaint.

We stumbled upon this restaurant after a google search and the rating was good, we decided to give it a try, we were not disappointed We met the owner MS Africa, she is a very down to earth and friendly AND HER FOOD IS BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL. We got curry chicken, and stew chicken and it was so good we forgot to take pictures, we will definitely be going back if you’re in Albany this is the place to go.

Update 2023 So happy to see that they are still open post pandemic and thriving! Prices when up but food is still great and worth it. During pandemic I love it when I feel like I found a diamond in the rough! First time there and we are definitely going to be regulars. Had a nice chat with the owner cook, Africa (she's Jamaican), she's awesome, and she wears many hats, God bless her. This place is located inside the Celtic Hall kitchen, I hope she can stay open after the pandemic restrictions are over.

Our family was in town for AAU regional track meet. In search for a meal we stumbled upon Bespoke. When I tell you the food is amazing it is AMAZING! So much so we came back 2 days in a row. The oxtails, brown stew chicken and snapper, rasta pasta was everything we needed and more. The owners were so welcoming and accommodating will definitely return made us feel like home. PS... very hidden just go inside the hall they are there!

1st time there...Staff very friendly and attentive about menu items...I ordered rasta pasta (1-shrimp 1- chicken...Omg AMAZING. Portions were well worth the price...I highly recommend this place and will be returning

Wish we took more pictures but we ate that food too fast. We just found out about this place but we will be returning often. It's pretty hidden- inside of the Celtic Center on New Karner Road but you'll be happy to find it. The Jamaican food is authentic... especially the rice and peas and sweet plantain- whew *chef's kiss*. Garlic shrimp was tasty the brown stew chicken was so good. My husband had the oxtail and loved it. The owners were so very nice and welcoming.

I recently moved from FL so I was lookin for a go to spot for good food and was referred this place! The food is SO GOOD and the customer service is on point, they now got a loyal customer!

Recently found out about this hidden restaurant. It is a little strange set up as it is a counter-serve place inside a Bingo hall. But for take-out it doesn't matter. The owner is from Jamaica and the food is as authentic as it gets. The food was excellent, both jerk chicken and curry chicken was so soft, the meat just fell off the bone. Plantains and rice with beans are also very good. Portions are very generous. The rasta-pasta was a bit of a surprise. We were warned that it is spicy and the pasta looked black, but man, was it hot! Overall a very good experience, will definitely be going here more often.

I live in upstate New York in Saratoga County and I must say it’s very very far and in between that we have any choices of Caribbean, Spanish, Dominican or Jamaican food restaurants in our area that we can eat from. I drove 45 minutes one way to # 450 New Karner Road and route. 155 in Albany New York to this Caribbean Restaurant to pick up my dinner order of Brown Stewed Chicken , Rice and Peas, side orders of Homemade macaroni & cheese and a n order of mozzarella sticks ( 5 cheese sticks with marinara sauce for $ 5.00 ) . My total cost for all $ 25.00 ( Very Reasonable Value ) I ate cheese sticks on the drive home. My dinner was very tasty and delicious. I got 2 meals off of rice and peas with plantains. The chicken very tasty. The gravy for my brown stewed chicken was a thin gravy. I must say my first time having a thin gravy over my rice and peas. I prefer a thick gravy from fresh tomatoes that used for the sauce with fresh vegetables. I definitely recommend this restaurant to eat at. There’s lots of love that goes into all of Mrs. Africa dishes. She’s very talented with her food dishes. Their Very tasty! I will eat here again.

This is REAL JAMAICAN FOOD!!! Miss Africa is such a good cook and lovely soul. I popped in here during a short trip to Albany. It’s a hidden gem. Brown stewed chicken Rice and plantain Cabbage & Mac n cheese (half half portion) This food is very tasty and seasoned to perfection.

Never underestimate a restaurant by where it’s located. Especially with Carribbean spots, because usually they are just waiting for people to see just how “Diamond in the Rough” their food is, and that describes this place perfectly. Their curry chicken was hot and fresh with loads of flavor.

I got the shrimp curry with a side of fries and it smelled amazing and tasted even better! Everyone was very nice and friendly too

I bought coconut shrimp and mango Jerk all for myself! I couldn't even wait to get home. I had it in the parking lot. Flavorful and delicious. Special shout to the friendly service. I'll be back!
