Excellent all round! This is our second visit in as many months and it did not disappoint. Wonderful food, friendly staff and great service. Chicken fried steak was excellent! Be sure to leave room for pie - but if you don’t, you can easily take one to go!!!

Service was great. Food was delicious. I had chicken and dumplings, with fried okra. The first thing I noticed was the food was not drowned on salt. You could taste the actual flavor of the food. Absolutely recommended this place, and I will be back.

Lunch, the coffee was really good. we had chicken fried chicken and steak. It was a good and just plain - without flavor. The small serving of gravy was good. I had green beans which were partially heated that needed salt. The mashed potatoes were also partially heated. The service was great, polite, respectful and responsive to request.

The staff are always friendly, prompt, and attentive. The food is excellent. The desserts are delicious. There are so many desserts to choose from. We dine here as often as we can.

Came to Brenham because of power outage in Houston. Fortuitously stumbled upon Bevers Kitchen. One had sides only and one had a vegetable plate on the first visit. All was quite good and the service (Myra) was excellent. On return, one had sides only and one had the meatloaf special. Everything was spot on and the service (Dillon) was again excellent. Since CenterPoint is moving at a snail’s pace, will probably return again!

We came for Saturday lunch. Put our name on wait list. After waiting 40 minutes we found out they were not following the wait list to seat patrons. Several customers, not just us, were effected. No apologies nor attempts to placate the hangry customers were made. Food was typical down home style, nothing extraordinary that will bring me back.

This is a hidden Gem and off the beaten path. Highly recommend anyone to stop by and enjoy lunch at this place. Recommend the fried Zuchini and don’t forget to take a piece of pie home! The staff were fantastic and so very nice and accommodating! We showed up about 20 minutes to close and they still waited on us, little did we know they close at 2:00 on weekdays. Great place for great tasting homemade meal! We will definitely be coming back!

Oh my. I would post photos, but the food was so delicious that i scarfed it before thinking of it. The chicken salad stuffed avocado was out of the this world and the peach pie was sinful.

Recommended by a friend. Had brunch here about 2 years ago and I remember getting the country fried steak. It was delicious and we ordered every kind of whatever available pie they had at the time. The tiramisu was my favorite. Last weekend we went for the Bluebonnet festival and I made sure to get there early just to get the pie. I got there around 11am just in time as they were down to their last whole tiramisu pie. That’s how good and popular their pies are. Staff was kind enough to offer to keep the pie in their fridge for me while I go browse around the festival.

Bevers Kitchen is a small hometown restaurant you just know is going to be good because it's in an old house. The charm starts there. The staff is friendly and helpful. Homestyle food is amazing and they have several items on the daily lunch special. Oh and the pies are to die for here. We had the Brownie cheesecake and loved it! On busy days there's a short wait to plan extra time in your visit

Didn't expect much when randomly stopping by for lunch, but damn this was delicious. Amazing atmosphere, super friendly people and top notch food!

We recently moved to Brenham and haven't yet found much vegetarian/vegan options, and this was recommended to us. We were so glad to find a veggie burger option with lots of vegetable side options. But we loved the atmosphere of this restaurant and town and will definitely be back! We also brought home a Beaver key chain as a fun memory.

The service was excellent. The location is super cute, it is an old Victorian-style house. The table was really sticky, but I actually think it might be from cleaning residue. The restaurant was extremely clean! I was disappointed in our meals. We had chicken & dumplings: needed salt, fried catfish: it was soggy and under-seasoned, and the turkey and provolone with fries: delicious! I am not sure if we maybe caught them on an off-day? They were extremely busy, and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy their meals. We didn't try dessert, but the pies looked amazing, and I definitely want to try them one of these days.

I got the pinto beans10/10 and the pancakes with eggs and bacon10/10.. we bought 3 slices of cake that we save for later…..!!! We went to Bevers at the recommendation of a local shop owner and were not disappointed! Chicken fried steak is their top seller so we had to try it. Lightly breaded and their gravy is spot on.
