I finally got on the hype train, and was able to try this cult classic place. I was not disappointed. Great burgers and great prices

Absolutely the best Pizza burgers in the world

Burgers were smaller than I expected, but tasted good. Glad we stopped when in town, but wouldn't need to stop again.

This is a drivethru with some parking and outdoor picnic benches at the end. They are very fast. We didn’t enjoy the burgers. The fries and onion rings were okay. Did enjoy the coke freeze on the hot day.

Average on the fast food scale. The fries and onion rings are decent and have large portion sizes. The hamburger was a little small and flavorless, with the bun being very thick. Overall I would compare it as equal to the other fast food chains, certainly nothing special.

The OG Big Boy burger 🍔 is always a hit 😋

The only remaining Big Boy in northern plains. Pizza burgers-flying style are the centerpiece of the menu. Excellent shoe string fries with gravy. Also has very good fried chicken. Quick service. Drive thru-only with a nice outdoor park area next to the restaurant.

Wasn't super impressed, to be honest. The food was pretty average, and they messed my order up. Had to go through the drive through again to be corrected but even after that cheated me on Lettuce, Tomatoes and other toppings a good burger should have. I won't be returning, actually wish I would have went to Burger Time down the street.

Had my favorite: small fries and medium gravy, yum 😋

If you're looking for something with a kick, get the boom boom sauce on the Big Chic and you'll be in for a treat. Don't forget the Frozen Coke or brown cow! Soent a day in Bismark and local reviews stated Big Boy is a place you have to visit. I knew I knew that big boy statue from somewhere and was confirmed looking at other reviews. As a pretty big boy myself I definitely should have ordered more food. The pizza burger was Interesting. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Cheeseburger was good but could have ate 3 more of them. Best thing was the milkshake purple cow I think it wa. Very delicious! Really nice shaded area to sit and eat it being drive through only it was enjoyable eating outside. Service was quick and was through the line with a breeze. Worth a try if in the area.

When we go back home, we always stop and get some flying style pizza burgers and fries!

Always stop by when we are home from Phoenix. 3 flying style, Brown Cow and fries and gravy.

Got Chicken 4 Piece here and it was absolutely disgusting. Chicken was cold and the taste was horrible. Pizza burger was alright.

This Bigboy is known in Bismarck for a reason, much different than the main chain. So much so that most people here don't realize theirs more bigboy restaurants.

Got a “burger” it’s literally a slice of bread with with a little meat. $10! Can’t hear the people. A “snack” also $10

Who doesn't love Big Boy. OHHH BOY, What a treat. About once a month Dad would go into Bismarck for chicken bucket and always onion rings. Best in town60 some yrs and still the best.

If I could give no stars I would . Gravy was nasty pizza burger would of been better with mozzarella cheese not American, fires were just like those at McDonald’s

Wasn't as I remember ,, window lady was a little rude. No straws for shake. Most of the fries seemed to be from the bottom of the basket.

Had the pizza burgers flying style and fries and gravy when we stopped in Bismarck. Very unique and tasty. The line was long, but it moved quickly.

Didn't get to try the food. It was our first time going there and our vehicle was too big to fit through the tiny drive thru. And it's drive thru only. No walk up even.

I will say the drive thru is really tight. Other than that the food is awesome!!

On November 1st, I ordered the 12 chicken meal deal. When I got home with my order, I didn't receive the 1lb of fries and I got coleslaw instead of the potato salad that I ordered. I gave them a call and spoke with the manager about it. She asked me my name and address and she stated that I will get something for the food I didn't receive and the inconvenience I had to deal with. I never received nothing in the mail from them. What a bad experienced and being lied to. Bad situation all the way from the get go!!!!!!!

Pretty good food. Portions were large and staff were honest and friendly. The only reason we didn’t give it 5 stars is because there is only a drive thru, no indoor seating. There is outdoor picnic seating though.

The best for 50 years. Since I was a little kid

The burgers themselves aren't great but the fries and gravy are to die for. Also obligatory is the hot & tot, which my family is pretty sure is just root beer with syrup made from Red Hots. But it slays! I also tried the purple cow, which is a good replacement for the Grimace shake, if you were into that when it was available! I legally cannot leave Bismarck without stopping here.

I eat here 2 - 3 times a month and it's been good . every place has its ups and downs but I've been getting a pizza flying style for around 40 years now . I recommend it

I'm sorry, but I ate here for the first time ever today and boy did it disappoint. Ordered the family fries and gravy and 8 piece fried chicken. The chicken was okay, nothing like it's raved to be. Honestly, I would prefer Pizza Ranch fried chicken. The fries were okay, I wish I knew to ask for salt as they were not salted not a deal breaker for me with the right condiment. The gravy was by far the greatest disappointment of the meal. It had a flour water flavor and that was it. I know I won't need to waste $32 here again.

We have been wanting to come here for a long time but every time we came thru town the line was ridiculously long and not moving much. It finally worked for us to go there today and went at 1045am and didn't have to wait in line at all. The service was friendly and quick. Unpopular opinion here, but this place was not worth the hype. Perhaps we had our hopes set too high, or maybe we didn't have the benefit of nostalgia with this place. Either way, it was overwhelmingly "OK". Everyone online raves about the pizza burger "flying style" , we didn't really care for that at all, didn't even finish it. The cheeseburger was decent but certainly nothing spectacular . The fries had zero salt on them (maybe I had to ask for salt or something?) and the gravy tasted like the flour had not been cooked long enough and didn't have much flavor. The milkshakes (purple cow and brown cow) were decent. The onion rings and chicken strips were pretty good! (that's the only thing that would bring me back there, honestly ). Long story short, I would not wait in line very long here unless you have fond memories of the place!

First stop always when in town... Last visit 3 years ago. Build a big boy in Florida:) Its about a 12 minute ride after you land. . Double the pizza burger, its awesome.

We went to grab lunch here for the first time. Be prepared for a line for the drive-thru, it was quite long so patience is required. If you're in a hurry it might best to go elsewhere. We tried the purple cow milkshake, it was tasty & thick. Then cheeseburger kids meals. I loved that they put homemade chocolate chip cookies under the hot burger. So by the time you're done eating, the cookie is warm like out of the oven. Portions were generous & it was all very good. We would definitely go back to Big Boy.

That was the thinnest saddest hamburger I've had in a long time. Ordered a double bacon cheese burger, fries, iced tea. Since it's drive up only when I got the burger out of the wrapper I was supper disappointed at the single patty. Ugh. I won't be back. Fending off the sea gulls was interesting.

Nice local restaurant with a pretty big menu. Many choices! The food is good. They are usually packed for lunch and sometimes that affects the speed and quality of service. Definitely worth a visit. We visited a couple times during a stay in the area. Pot roast is good, salads, and chicken are also good.

As always the employees kick out an amazing American meal!!!! This place is great for a quick bite to eat. Burgers n fries are a must and most definitely try the gravy it’s a local staple. You can get any sandwiches flying style that gives you a campfire vibe when eating. The milk shakes are great and fill you up to the bone.

So cool to see a big boy burger joint! Like right out of the movies! Yummy food too! So Many fries! The birds enjoyed the ones I didn't finish in the large picnic area they have! Yum!

This is a drive-through restaurant, and the only thing daunting is that sometimes there is a very long line. It does go pretty quick, but don't be surprised if your car is literally on the street waiting to turn in.

Big Boy was made famous, in my opinion, from Austin Powers. It is what attracted me to stop. It was fun to do it, but it was pretty humorous. Haha! The flying style pizza burger?? Haha, just look at that hot mess!! Oh my comical! Crust was rubbery and rock hard, but I did it! Check that off the list. And the Big boy original? Hehe same. It was messy. But I like condiments so all the sauce was good for a soggy burger experience. 🍔 Dining is outdoors in a picinic area. let me tell ya, the birds become your friends really quick. Have you ever felt like someone was watching you??? Hahaha. I did try the purple cow 🐄🟣 a small was just fine. Thirteen bucks and worth the laugh and the experience. Thanks! Oh and notice, there is a 9'6" clearance to go through the drive through. Enjoy! 😉

A staple in Bismarck. This place has been here since I was a child. The pizza burgers flying style, french fries and gravy are the best. The specialty drinks are also delicious. Excellent menu with great prices. You can't go wrong in any way when choosing the Big Boy.

I had really high hopes from all of the reviews, but our experience was just terrible on 6/4/23 at about 9:20pm. The employees were so rude because we simply asked to add 2 chili cheese dogs at the window instead of the ordering machine… the young man at the window said “it’s fine you only upset one person” after we heard the cook yell “seriously”. Like it’s that big of a deal to make us a hotdog. Then I got home and noticed the other fries we ordered weren’t even in the bag. The burgers were also so cold I had to re heat them in the microwave and I live literally 5 minutes away. Not coming back if that’s how the customer service is. Spent $30+ just to be treated like an inconvenience for ordering food and having a missing item.

It was very delicious, purple cow is very good. It's like a grape freeze with vanilla ice cream godd with dipping your French fries( weird combo) but good. Burger was delicious. Nice fast service. Friendly atmosphere. Good job keep up the nice work 😁🥰
