Had to visit this establishment while in town..the menu had all the classics from burgers to fish ...i had to get a big rebel burger with onion rings .my only complaint was the small onion rings were exactly that. made me wish i ordered the large but my giant burger filled that void . I hope to visit again in the future .

Anyone who lives in Bismarck knows that Scotty's is the place for a great burger and a classic vibe.

What an amazing find! Got this one from TripAdvisor when camping with the family and so glad I did! Onion rings with homemade ranch dressing, probably the best rings I’ve ever had. I got the Scotty dog (sub lettuce add kraut) and it was like a piece of my soul was found. The special sauce is very similar to Big Mac sauce. The sloppy Joe on the Coney dog is great. The taco salad could use a little more meat. Kids meals come in little cute paper cars. I parked my 53ft true and trailer in front without issue. Talk about convenient parking. Plenty of seating indoors, outdoors (under cover) or in your car as many seem to choose. If you stop in Bismarck, this is a must stop and try!

Owner-managed, who even lends a hand in the shop himself and greets guests in a friendly manner. Very nice classic drive-in with seating and toilets.

This charming 1950s-style drive-in radiates a delightful atmosphere. The weekly gathering of classic cars on Wednesdays is a noteworthy event, attracting friendly and passionate individuals. The burgers served here are quite commendable. However, I found the fried pickle to be slightly disappointing. I highly recommend this establishment for a memorable dining experience.

Ordered Hot Hamburger with fries and a Chocolate Shake. Gravy was very bland and the shake was either Vanilla or they didnt put enough chocolate in it. Off white and no flavor...

OUTSTANDING.... just a jr. burger, with xtra pickles and onions.... but, it was perfect... ---and then, the girl at the counter, however, had this huge yawn, right at me, as I was ordering... and did not apologize or coment or anything.... just this huge open mouth... sheesh.... oh well, dinner and a show....

AMAZING Banana Milkshakes!! Really good burgers, too. Fun, retro, 1960's style atmosphere. Parking is reminiscent of a Sonic.. Definitely check this place out!

Scotty's service is always fantastic and the food is amazing.

I haven't had fast food in years because the oil most of them use makes me feel terrible. Since Scotty's is using beef tallow, I decided to try a meal. The food tasted great, they were so fast, and the best part is I did not feel sick afterwards. I appreciate th large menu as well. My only feedback is that I wish they had fancier buns like sourdough buns and more dessert choices. Otherwise, a great place when you want a fast easy meal.

Scotty's is a staple of Bismarck. It's not many restaurants that can stand the test of time through ownership changes. Scotty's is one that has and even got better with new owners. They improved on everything that was great with Scotty's and made it better. I think they have the best Knoephla soup and gravy in town. Everyone is always friendly and professional. Something really hard to find in the fast food industry.

All of the employees are such sweet people. The hot hamburger with an extra patty and extra scoop of mash is my obsession!

The food was pretty okay, the hot dog was not great, but everything else was fine. Cute place to go to for classic Americana vibes

I love Scotty’s! I do feel the need to say that when ordering a bowl of soup, I would really appreciate getting a full bowl and not the 3/4 bowl I have gotten recently.

Old drive in feel with modern prices. Not sure I was impressed with the coney dog. I'll have to go again and try the hamburgers. Maybe my opinion will improve.

Anytime we eat here they charge a different amount for the exact same meal. This time I even got a fly floating at the top of my drink!

Wonderful little diner!! Friendly staff, delicious food, incredible family atmosphere. There are high chairs for the little ones :). And the kids meals come in an adorable little car-shaped container!

Scotty's is my goto treat when in Bismarck. Burgers hit the spot and always fresh but their best kept secret is the shrimp burger. Nice spicy sauce with nicely deep fried shrimp.

We’re from Minnesota and wanted to try something new. Everyone was nice, the food was good, and it was clean. That’s all that matters!! Also, the kids meal cars are the cutest. If we’re ever around, we’d stop again!

Always a great experience at Scotty’s

The food is trash, didn't think it was possible to mess up a grilled cheese sandwitch, but this place did. It was basicaly just bread with a single slice of cheese. Also 7 bucks for a tiny hot dog? Bruh!

Our order was incorrect and over charged. Was not offer a refund on the overcharge until pressed for it. Then it was a hassle to refund, all the burgers came out incorrect. Stuff I paid extra for was the same as I got regularly a plain. The cook and order taker were arguing. They were playing newer worship music about crucifying during dinner. Not the music I would think of in between Elvis and rocking around the clock. It was uncomfortable and not nearly as friendly as in past visits.

Food tasted more than a few days old.

Been stopping in for coffee or lunch pretty regularly for the past few months, and these guys don’t miss a beat. It’s classic fast food done right, and it doesn’t cost much more than the big chains. It’s a small price to pay for better quality food from a local shop

Winter we stayed in car didn't go in

It was Friday nite 6:18pm 3/3/23 I put in my order at the drive up and my order came to $22 and some cents. I handed the lady working the till what I thought was 2 $20 bills. She hesitated a moment turned and looked at me and asked me ( What did you give me ?) I said 2 $20 dollar bills.. She than gave me my change of $11 and some cents. Not thinking I took my order went home and sat down. At 9pm went to pick up my wife from work and she wanted to go to grocery store so I opened up my wallet to give her the only $100 bill I had and that is when I noticed what I had done. It was 10 min after nine and Scott's Drive Inn was closed but I called anyways and a guy answered and was very concerned. I explained what happened and he told me to stop by in the morning and talk to Scotty and he would take care of it. I drove over walked in seen Scotty right away. Told him who I was and he than told me he looked at the camera and said the lady at the till made a simple mistake and punched $120 on the till rather than $40 so there was nothing he could do. She new I gave her $120 or she would not have put that amount on the till. She didn't even give me the correct amount of change even if it would have been $40 because the bill was $22 and in return she gave me $11. I couldn't even see the video and Scotty would not even sit down and discuss this with me so Scotty is just as dishonest with me as the lady was unless she put the money in her pocket but the camera would tell who the guilty ones are.

It has a classic diner feel to it. The kid's meals come in a cardboard car which is cool. The lady at the counter was very helpful, the kids were starving and she put them in and rushed them out right away. Good food and service. The shakes are great.

***UPDATE*** Went in tonight 10 after 8 and doors locked. CHANGE YOUR GOOGLE HOURS!*** Went here and the girl behind the counter was busy talking to another customer about a model car. Looked right at me, said nothing, continued to talk about the stupid car with no intentions of taking my order. This went on for a ridiculous amount of time. Im out! Not going back to this place!

I would suggest to people to not do any business. This place we have gone six times in a row means that we are working a couple blocks away each and every time I specifically asked and said I will wait for fresh fries when you’re paying $15 for a meal with fries and a pop and a burger For them not to give a care in the world it’s just outrageous to me not only each time did I specify that I wanted fresh fries with light salt and that I would wait each time I got double dipped Burnt fries that just went to the trash I called and complained the second time or third time and it happened this time. I am just not going to go there anymore considering me and my entire crew been going there For the week and a half now the six of us will choose somewhere else to eat from now on I would do the same.

My kids and I love this place! The kids really like getting their meals in a cardboard car. They play with them afterwards for a long time.

I stopped at 2 in the afternoon for lunch and had the Rebel burger. If it had been hot it probably would’ve been great. The patties and cheese were ice cold. Very disappointed.

We were ecstatic to find this hidden gem as we pass through Bismark. The atmosphere was so lively and friendly, and the food was really good. It was such fun to see locals drive up with their classic cars on a Tuesday night.

Listen, this isn't the greatest food but it's not bad either and the owner has done a really nice job trying to beef up the menu. It's a fun place to come grab a burger, enjoy the throwback atmosphere and sit on a bench under an old school drive-in concept. Personally my favorite thing here is the hot hamburger which is seasonal only, usually during winter time. Make sure to try it. It's a hamburger patty between two pieces of white bread smothered in an amazing country style gravy complemented with very fluffy, fine-mashed potatoes. I love it!

I had never been there was driving through on our way back home from Fargo to Williston. The food was amazing they gave us a side of thier gravey and OMG it was so amazing.
