Big Semi Trucks: pull right up in the center lane and turn your hazards on. Hop out, grab your goodies and go. No problem. I am almost 50 and I came here for tiny ‘baby beer’ mugs of root beer when i was a preschooler. Same delicious root beer, and the hot dogs are the best anywhere.

I saw a review of Bill's Hot Dogs on the news not long ago and made a note of the location with Intensions to drive from Clinton Township to Ypsilanti one day. Today was the day and I have to say, the trip was worth it. I wish Bills was closer, I'd be a regular for sure!

Great dogs been 3 summers haven't had them since my dad passed away. My son that adopted me brought them to me the minute he found out it had been that long and sat here with me.

I've past this place a thousand times over the years and never stop. I should have kept it that way. The guy ask use was this are first time before we ordered after that it went down hill. We ordered four dogs a large Root beer and a large Root beer float. He says $22 cash only, as his walking away I'm doing the math and it's not adding up. He comes back and there is 6 hot dogs and two large Root beers. I call him back over because one should be a root beer float. He comes back with the Root beer float and says it's a extra $2 and something if not they're going to take it out his money.( For his mistake) Plus I had given him a $2 and some tip. So I said no you can take the stuff back, then he says don't worry about it and hands me the float. The only thing that was good was the Root beer.

So delicious! Root beer floats are amazing! Service is Spectacular!!! Fast friendly amd the prices wow ! 15$ for 2 people now a days you can't find that 😅 I suggest getting there before the lunch rush because they are popular! But our server was quick and efficient . Grab some napkins because coney dogs are messy ! But worth getting mustard on your face 💕 of your from around Ypsilanti or Ann arbor this is a must ! We also got our food in less than 5 minutes. They come right to your car which is a bonus too !

Bill's Drive In has a simple menu, and that's a good thing. What they do, they do well. Hot dogs, loose burger, chips, homemade root beer and root beer floats. The chili on the chili dog is slightly sweet but tastes great. The homemade root beer is not overly carbonated. Prices are very inexpensive. I think you'll like this restaurant.

Terrible customer service! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now because it was unique stand and the food was alright, but I will never return after my last visit. I ordered 4 B-Dogs (Hotdog w/ ground beef) and received 4x loose burgers (ground beef in a hotdog bun). When I brought this to the attendant’s attention he lied and said I ordered B’s not B-Dogs which doesn’t *exist* I think he was trying to make up something at this point…. I said I always order the same thing and this was not right. He then asked if I wanted to order 4 more, to which I replied no, I didn’t want to have to pay for 4 more since it was not my mistake. He then said “Sorry” and walked away!?!? Really?? You’re telling me that your margins are so slim on hotdogs you can’t replace a messed up order?? Either way, be wary of what you order because they don’t seem to care!

I've been going here since i was a kid, i've never liked hot dogs and im not crazy about root beer, but let me tell you a hot dog here is healing and spiritual. If you need a cheap lunch during the summer and you have like five bucks to blow, I recommend bills because It just feels good to get a hot dog sometimes. The service is insanely impressive. These workers walk around all day in the heat and they always come up to my car with a smile. Obviously get a hot dog, but OMG try the root beer. Absolutely scrumptious and delightful. This place is cash only, and make sure you bring enough to tip these delightful service workers.

The hot dogs are awesome. They are the perfect amount of bun and hotdog. The finely chopped onions are awesome. The rootbeer is fantastic!

Bills has always been a staple in my family since I was a teen. Every time I come home to Michigan I make I stop by.

My only complaint is that Bill's is now so far away since I've moved! Best rootbeer I've ever tasted in my life, and the hot dogs just may be too. Simple, yet oh so yummy!

Bills is a classic hot dog stand. I couldn't even park my motorcycle fast enough and somebody was there to take my order. It was as if somebody turned back the hands of time. I sat at a picnic table, they don't have other seating but it is a hot dog stand after all. I had two coneys and a medium root beer. The coneys could have had a little more crunch to them but they were good and the root beer was delicious and I would guess homemade.

Bill's is a long time icon of casual eating in Ypsilanti. Very basic menu done well.

My wifes cousin talked it up as a cool spot she read about on the way to Mackinac Island from Ohio. They made their own root beer. We arrived and the place is well kept, clean and easy access off the road. i assumed we had to go up and order and a young man in a tigers hat came over to greet us and offered a menu. cool car service. nice. it seemed like opening time around 11am. and it wasnt busy but suddenly cars started showing up and the kid was running. i thought he'd get tied up but came back over.they are quick here. I was dropping off cousins and my wife to get in another SUV and asked menu questions. they have hot dogs and ground beef in dog buns. i got 2 chili dogs and a quart of root beer to get on the road. prices are very reasonable and under 10.00. i flipped him a 5.00 tip for excellent service and hustle. the dogs were good and chili sauce tasted good. the root beer was cold and smooth and full bodied. If i live close i'd be a regular.

The food is great the service is pleasant you can order from your car or go to the window they make you feel welcome.

Nothing beats Lafayette, however… These coneys are dynamite! 🧨 The price point is terrific. I enjoyed being able to pick these up Vs having to use a fork and knife. I like the mug root beer. Last, but not least in this category… Bill’s speedy service is second to none! Great job guys! As the great Arnold says… I’LL BE BACK!

It's clearly a staple of the area. Full parking lot, and carhop was ready right away. Not many options but inexpensive. Delicious root beer. Hotdog was great with a slightly toasted bun. You have to eat in your car.

This family grown business deserves the business! These guys work so hard to bring you the fastest service and their signature/housemade chili (the chili) dogs and rootbeer are the best! The chili dogs weren't bad. The chili they use which is homemade, is sweet in flavor. I Myself prefer a more savory chili. Preferences aside the homemade root beer and Chili dog, we're good. Not bad for the money, not bad at all.

Gotta say it's amazing. Only go if you're in the mood for hot dogs, but if you are you're in luck. I ate my 2 then got a third which arrived in less than a minute. A great old school spot with quality and service

I was craving a chilli cheese dog with onions and Bill's did not disappoint. It was loaded and hot and the root beer was the perfect add on for a warm spring day. People ate at the nearby tables and even with the large number of cars in the parking lot, the service was quick.

Been coming here for over 10 years, went to high school down the way and this was my teen food,always get the chilly cheese dog and it’s good, it’s not the best quality dogs in the world but with the history and how great the guys are getting the orders, this joint is a local classic

Bill's is a staple in Ypsilanti and has been for many years. Those chili dogs....and the root beer! Simple and delicious. The service is top notch, the car hops are fast and friendly. We look forward to Bill's every February and all summer long.

This places seriously has THE BEST hot dogs. I do enjoy the rootbeer but it's a little to sweet for me. I do wish they had a diet version. I would love that so much.
