I use to frequent here all the time for lunch. They recently did some revamping and no longer serve hot lunches as they've converted to more of a market. They still offer daily lunches but, they are in the market section and are offered cold. However, they will warm the dish up if u ask and want to dine in. I love so many food items here there's too much to name. But, just to name a few: the stuffed chicken with capers, the chicken salad, the strawberry salad with the strawberry vinegarette, and I must mention the homemade bread pudding! Yall! That bread pudding is heaven on earth! When my aunt passed I thought I would never taste another bread pudding as good as hers. But child, let me tell u, if u go there and don't get it, u r depriving urself of a happy day! I'll be back soon!

On a friend’s recommendation, came for fried chicken. However, during COVID they changed formats and focus on take away. We were able to get a terrific salad to enjoy inside at a table. Lots of action for take away! I’m sure it’s great too!

We recently ordered lunch boxes for an Office Meeting the presentation was first class and the food tasty. The delivery person was friendly and funny!

Bistro to Go is my go-to place for any and every event. I’ve used them for a large engagement party, to office Christmas party, to a small intimate birthday dinner. Their food is always exceptional and Scott, who runs the catering side, is great to work with. They always provide plenty of food and it is some of the best food in the Shreveport/Bossier area. I cannot recommend them enough!

I could eat the different special they have every day of the week. My favorite is Tuesday, shrimp and grits.

Dining area is fairly small, but the food was great. I will definitely return.

Amazing place. This specific spot is the location off of line avenue. My dad and I do electrical work every so often for the owner - JB, and he rewards us with some of the best takeout food I've had. They even deliver with waitr so you can place your order online and have it delivered right to your door. The food is always fresh, the selection are all healthy variables, and the staff is very friendly! Give them a shot!

My favorite days to visit here are Monday’s and Fridays. On Monday’s, they offer the double battered fried chicken with potatoes and corn maque choux with a Tasso gravy. My goodness is it delicious. Friday’s, the offer the catfish dish! It’s always hot, fresh, delicious, and affordable.

Busy at work today so I ordered in using Waitr, got a great Thursday daily special ”stuffed chicken with wild rice and vegetables”. Oh my goodness, get out of the way, I want some more of that! The French bread was buttered up and the Dave’s spinach salad was very delicious with horseradish dressing, blue cheese crumbles, and candied pecans!! What a great lunch option!!!!

Good food with outstanding service

If there is one dish I miss after leaving Shreveport it has to be JB’s Gumbo, the closest I’ve ever come to my mom’s anywhere. Bistro to Go is a rarity in SBC, a small locally owned restaurant that is run professionally and has remained consistent for many years. The excellent rating speaks volumes. I only rate on Google now that UrbanSpoon/Zomato are dead. It pains me to see those who have no food expertise comment on someone’s living. I’m thankful people see the value and excellence of Bistro To Go.

It's Bistro to Go because there are very few tables available, due to the limited parking. I ordered the red beans and rice. Food and service were average.

Go get the Thursday lunch special. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

If you’re looking for some southern classic dishes you’ll find them here. The shrimp and grits is amazing and they have a large selection of items including to go platters in their fridge section. They do offer a military discount which is a plus but you must be in uniform. A military discount is never expected but I do dislike that only when in uniform will they honor a discount even with a military ID. I’m in the military when in and out of uniform. Prices are a little higher than other lunch stops and their hours are very limited but overall this place is always a treat.

First time to go and it was good

I had the red beans and rice and a salad and let me tell you!... These guys KNOW HOW TO COOK! The food was DELICIOUS. The service was EXCELLENT! The climate in the restaurant is open and relaxing. I took a minute to find the manager and to congratulate him on the high quality meal that my wife and I received!

This has become one of our "go too" places. The lunches are delicious, the take home food fast and fantastic. We highly recommend there catering, we have used them several times for our large parties of over 100 and EVERYONE was impressed. GO THERE!

The JB burger was the best burger I tasted in s long time,the spinach salad with nuts was also good, the homemade bread pudding was right on spot, the service was courteous greeted with a smile.xI would highly recommend Bistro To Go to everyone I know,

We went for lunch and had the sandwich, soup, and salad combo. Each course had its own unique flavor. The Strawberry Salad had fresh lettuce and an awesome salad dressing. The soup was a corn chowder which was hot with great flavor. i got the club sandwich with great sandwich bread and lots of ham and turkey with a layer of bacon with excellent taste. We had bread pudding for dessert and it was really really good. Truly a great place for lunch (hours 1130-200 mon-fri, 1000-200 sat) and lunch to go can be picked up till 600pm). I thought the price was very reasonable. $10 for soup, salad and sandwich.

Small portions and expensive. On dine in they were so slow. And they short handed me on SOUP!! Who does that? It's soup for heavens sake.

I first tried Bistro to go when they were located in Pierre Bossier Mall. I watched their episode of Foodcourt Wars on the Food Network. The first meal I tried from them was their burger and twice baked potato casserole. Everything was so flavorful and I was very impressed. I do not frequent Bossier often but one day I drove back to the mall just to grab lunch from Bistro to go and was disappointed to see they were no longer in the mall. Thanks to google I was able to find not 1 but 2 locations for them in Shreveport. There is a location on the ground floor of the Regions bank building in downtown and there is also another location off of Line Avenue across the parking lot from Sushi Gen towards the dead end. I prefer the location off Line Ave because. My go to is always the burger and potato casserole but truly I have found you cannot go wrong with any selection you make. I have tried their gumbo, red beans, and fresh market casseroles. I was not too happy about the prices of their casserole as I thought $18 was a little steep for the small size of the container but I plan to try others in the future because the Cajun chicken pasta one was so good and I have to do nothing more than place it in the oven for 45 mins and dig in. I have had nothing but good experiences here. The food is great. I often see the owner working the floor in addition to the kitchen and the staff is polite. Try them out for lunch and be sure to grab a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie as a small dessert.

Everything I've tasted from Bistro-to-Go is good. The Lassus St.venue is more for take out as it does not have many tables and is quite noisy. The Regions Bank downtown location is larger but always crowded during noon hour. The food is great. I've had the chicken and sausage gumbo, red beans and rice, Club sandwich,bead pudding, Plan to try other take-out options such as the highly acclaimed ham loaf. I am particulaly amazed at the authenticity of the red beans 'n rice, gumbo, bread pudding. Cudos to the chef! You've nailed it!

The shrimp and grits are on Tuesday....Important!!! That is the lunch special for that day :) My boss likes the Roast with Vegetables...Even the salad before your entree is delish with the home made dressing!!! My New Favorite! Get there early though ~

Delicious food, fresh ingredients, fast and friendly service! My husband loved his Bistro burger but does prefer a mustard-based potato salad (theirs is mayo-based--yum to me!). Our friend ordered the ham and cheese quiche with butternut squash soup. The quiche was a mini, baked in its own little serving-for-one pie crust. Light, flaky crust. Yummy ham and cheese. Very satisfying. I had the deviled egg salad sandwich and butternut squash soup. Egg salad was perfect, not too wet. But the soup....AMAZING! Tasted like Autumn in a bowl! Good blend of creamy with nutmeg. It was 137 degrees today but we were all fantasizing about scarves and boots because of this delicious harvest-flavored soup! Get there early, though. This joint is jumpin'!

Locally owned, family-operated business. Great menu with daily soups and specials. The menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and hot entrees like Slow Roasted Chicken Pot Pie or Fork Tender Beef Roast. The desserts are absolutely amazing. Best bread pudding you will ever have. Seriously. You should go. You won't be disappointed in anything you try on the menu. Although the hours are incorrect above, they are: 11:30-2 for lunch service, and the market is open until 6pm and from 10-2 on Saturday (market only).

I was staying in downtown Shreveport recently and planned a business lunch here at the recommendation of the hotel. This place is amazing and I can't wait to go back! There were 9 in my party and everyone raved over the food. It's not your typical turkey sandwich and grilled chicken salad shop. Every dish we had was unique from the sprouted grain bread to the added fried green tomatoes. I had the smoked Gouda and pimento cheese sandwich with a fried green tomato added and loaded baked potato casserole on the side and I've been dreaming about it ever since! This place will not disappoint!

Amazing little option tucked into a major office building in downtown Shreveport. I have dined in almost all the options that have checked into this space over the years. This is the best place thus far. I went with the Shrimp and Grits the Shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The floated atop a bed of creamy grits. The included wedge salad was covered in an amazing light tasting house made peppercorn ranch. I look forward to dining here again.

A friend and I decided to check out the new location in downtown Shreveport and had a wonderful meal. The service was great and the food, I ordered the meatloaf lunch special, was extraordinary. I will definitely go back.

Small "boutique" lunch place....very good food with a New Orleans flair. Great place to pick up dishes to take home and cook.....the chicken pot pie is outstanding, as is the bread pudding. Gumbo is good, with a nice dark roux.
