My husband and I came in tonight for dinner and we didn’t expect a high level of service due to us arriving 20 minutes prior to closing. Not only was the food fresh and delicious, our server was excellent. Molly provided excellent customer service as if we were her first customers of the day. Her positive attitude was greatly appreciated. She was energized and extremely polite. We were lucky to have her. We will definitely return.

This place has a lunch menu. You can see the chef’s preparing the Sushi at a glass counter. They had many choices to choose from and the food was good. I did not care for the soup. Excellent service. I would recommend going to this place.

Please don't be deterred by the fact that the restaurant is in a strip center. This is an excellent restaurant with great food at great prices. You will not be disappointed.

I always end up back at Bloofin! I've been a customer since they opened and they have remained consistent, fresh, and delicious throughout the years. Service is always great and have never had a bad menu item. I've tried many sushi places in the area and none compare to Bloofin.

I’m so bummed to be writing this because we loved this place, but the last 2 times we have gone here it has made both me and my husband sick. We have been here many times and our order has never changed so I am not sure why all of a sudden the last 2 times have made us sick. After the first time we thought, maybe it was because it was only about a day or 2 after the power outages from Beryl. We thought that was understandable and didn’t want to let that stop us from going somewhere we love. Then it happened again. Huge bummer….

We have gone twice, and both times the food and service were exceptional. We also ordered fried rice as a pick up order once and the food was just as good as the dine in. The decor is absolutely beautiful. Both of my kids commented on how pretty and relaxing it was when we walked in. Our waitress the first time was Helen, who was very kind and helpful. The second visit, our waiter Steven, had great energy and we never had empty cups. I'm not sure of the name of the busser that night, but he was also on top of it in clearing out extra plates. I was so impressed how the staff was attentive, but wasn't hovering over us the entire time. The monkey brains were my favorite! Any version of the fried rice is delicious (we've tried them all), and the bento box was perfect for my kids to share. I will say the only negative we had experienced was that the salmon in the bento box was overcooked and dry, but other than that, everything has been well seasoned and fresh. We also tried the Bloo-viche, which blew all of our minds! It is made from super fresh fish with a sweet ponzu sauce. I will say, whoever designed this restaurant took no shortcuts. From the giant wood flower hanging in the middle of the restaurant, to the wooden check holders, and even the to go boxes are all well thought and don't seem cheap. The best part is that all of these beautiful "upgrades" aren't reflected in an unnecessary upcharge on the menu items, which makes this restaurant affordable for a family of 5 to have an elegant night out without having to drive into downtown.

Update again: edogawa is amazing, absolutely worth it. I'm usually not a fan of uni, but the balance of flavors was so good. Would definitely recommend if you want to try something more upscale! Update: went back again and ordered off the menu this time and food was delicious! We got the chef choice sashimi, the salmon and fatty tuna were so tender and melted in our mouths. Bloofin-viche was well flavored and had real Thai chili peppers, so there was a nice kick. Also ordered the bloofin special Maki and red moon roll, both were delicious! Would definitely go back and try their other rolls, but wouldn't recommend the karami based on our previous experience. We did the 'karami' option, similar to omakase bc they don't offer omakase anymore. We emailed them about their omakase and someone responded stating they did offer for $150 per person, 7 courses. But when we showed up, it was only 6 courses even though we called ahead and asked again and someone named Andrew had informed us it was 7 courses. Some discrepancy. Karami wasn't bad, started out strong with a flounder dish with a citrusy, refreshing taste, but everything after that seemed pretty basic. The fatty salmon was pretty decent. I wouldn't pay that much again for their Karami, total bill for drinks and karami with an added nigiri dish was about $300. We may be back to try some other traditional rolls because their sushi wasn't too bad.

This has to be the best sushi spot in North Houston. First, the sushi was truly exceptional. Our waiter, Kiko, was very kind and informative and had excellent suggestions. Allie, who I believe may have been the restaurant or manager on shift was very kind and came by to check on our dining experience and Russell came by and checked on us as well. Overall, they seem to make a great team and made our experience great. We will be back! Edit: Returned and had excellent food and except service this time due to Alex!

Best sushi we had in Tomball area

I love coming here because of the authenticity to Japanese cuisine. They get their fish from Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo and have some of the best bluefin Tuna in Houston. I recently went to Japan and found it very much comparable. This is my favorite sushi places for that reason. I recommend the Bloofin Special. It has a nice variety of fish and it comes with a salad and miso soup.

We been going to Bloofin Spring for Happy Hour many times. There are so many that we enjoy： Sake Mussels， Hama Chilli， Escolar Carpaccio， Eastern truffle Salmon， Bloofinviche. definitely check out the Happy Hour menu for discount. If you like ramen， try the Vegetarian ramen. They removed it from the menu but still available， it is soyu broth based and is delucious. Ｉused to order Sea bass but the price went up so much now I'm avoiding it but it's very good if you can afford it.

Absolutely amazing! We started with miso, salad and the agedashi tofu. The miso was delicate enough to allow the very fresh green onions to shine. The tofu was lightly fried and creamy. As a side we tried shimi+uni, and that was hands down the best bite I've ever had. The uni tasted like the ocean, and the fish literally melted in my mouth. We shared the deluxe platter, and again the nigiri, rainbow roll and sashimi were incredible. The service and atmosphere left nothing to be desired. We can't wait for our next meal, the menu is well worth exploring!

Took my date here and had the best experience, our server Molly was the sweetest thing in the world and was such a great server! I always get the Miso Cod and the amazing consistency in quality of their food is unmatched. Will be back :)

A friend is a regular and invited me and a co-worker for lunch. Outstanding customer service from our server. He must have refilled my water 10 times. Plating was gorgeous, sushi was great. Seaweed salad was so good.

Starting with a friendly host to a very knowledgeable waiter and a sincere manager makes this place the total package. Everyone is very nice and the food is amazing! I usually don’t like seafood but my mom wanted it for mother’s day so i took her, and im glad i did!!! I love it! I had the dragon roll, calamari and wagyu. The employees are very friendly and welcoming. The ladies are all pretty and have beautiful makeup, and the men look very put-together and nice. They look like they enjoy being there!

Best sushi in the greater Houston area. Their fresh sushi, welcoming staff, and clean environment make the drive worth it. I have yet to find another sushi spot that comes close to this one.

Decent sushi but I also come here mainly for their MISO/GINGER dressing (a bit pricey for a salad dressing but it's ok. I used to order it on the West Coast, so far, this is the only place I found it at, here in Houston). I wish the house salad had other option/variety.

I have been here many times and I have always been very pleased and had great experiences. Recently, I had dinner with a colleague who spent some time in Japan and he said that the sushi is the same quality and taste like the one he had in Japan. He was very pleased. As far as drinks, last time I had a Kikusui Nigori (Perfect Snow) that was amazing.

I came here for my birthday, and I’m not kidding but this place has the best sushi u can just tell there is a whole lot of care and thought put into every dish. The fish is very fresh and isn’t fishy at all of that makes sense it just taste like quality the atmosphere is clean and elegant they even provide feminine products in the bathroom if needed which I think is just such a thoughtful touch. And the service.. the service is exceptional. I had the pleasure of dining with Demi tonight and she is just the sweetest and kindest person. She went above and beyond for my birthday with the sweetest touch of having a banner app on her phone and had the banner read “happy birthday beautiful” which I was just in awe about because she took the time to get that app I’m sure she has had it but most people wouldn’t think to do that I know I never did and I am a server and she personally brought me mochi and sang me happy birthday which really made my night and I guess she wanted more for me so she brought the whole gang of servers over to sing again which very much caught me by surprise but it was just so genuine and kind of her and them to come do it again. I know this has been a very long review but I just want to take some time and brag on how awesome they were anyway back to the food I got to try the 72hr slow roasted wagu and it was AMAZING every bite few they were was simply decadent and I would have ate 4 more orders of just that but I wanted to try everything so I got three sushi rolls my favorite of which was the angus beef roll which I never expected to see on a sushi menu but I was delightfully satisfied with it the flavor was perfect and I’m gonna be dreaming about this meal for a while and the spicy edemome idk how to spell it but it is definitely a must try I get it every time I come.

Really enjoyed the food. Best sushi I've had in the Houston area. Spicy cucumber salad rocked.

He also shared the actions that were taken to be sure customer experience is improved. He also invited us out to the new Woodlands location for their soft opening and to meet in person. The service and food was fantastic. I highly encourage you to try both locations. **************************** The 1 star review is because of our experience as soon as we walked in the door. We went to celebrate our daughter’s birthday with friends we have not seen in a while. We made a reservation in advance to ensure the start of a nice evening. We arrived and there were a number of people waiting. We made our way through the crowd and approached the hostess stand to check in. Several hostesses and manger or owner were standing there. Upon giving our name, everyone standing there looked disappointed and unsure what to do, as multiple said “oh, there’re here”. A big group standing there waiting to be seated overheard them and also said “they’re here”. We were on time for our reservation, but it was obvious that our table was promised to that other party and it appeared they were about to be seated at our table. Everyone just looked confused…..while we left feeling upset and not welcomed. Obviously the manager or owner noticed the look on our faces and came over to the table and apologized saying they were not giving away our table. The waiter was great and the food was great. I spent 20+yrs in the restaurant industry and I know how competitive the industry is and experience is everything! I always coached restaurants that the customers experience begins before they even walk in the door. They should have been happy we were there, since there are many other choices. The first taste lasts the longest and ours was made to not feel welcomed.

We always order takeout from these guys because they really are the best sushi near us. We've ordered from other places but the quality here far surpasses any other restaurant.

Brian/Bryan the server was knowledgeable and courteous. "Monkey Brain" appetizer and the specialty tuna rolls were all excellent. Sashimi platter of barracuda, young seabream and snapper was very good. Barracuda was delicate, fantastic; the umami-heavy seabream was slightly fishy, yet good, and the snapper was most complex with a more fatty feel than the other two. Make sure to ask for the fresh wasabi. Astonishing quality for a strip-mall kind of location. Neighborhood smart-casual vibe. Highly recommended.

Went here to dine alone and it was enjoyable! Everyone was so nice and the sushi was pretty good. Went with the sake recommended to me by my waitress and it was so good! It's called "The One with the Clocks"

Never disappoints! Best sushi in Spring and The Woodlands!

A great restaurant with lots to choose from. The menu has plenty to offer. They also have a full bar and extremely friendly servers. The facility is clean and well managed.

They had poisonous gas in the air. There was no way we could stay to eat there. Was a shame too. It’s a good restaurant. But this made zero sense and the management should be ashamed for that even being a thing.

Probably the best value for sushi in Houston, they sometimes have fish that are not very commonly found outside of Japan which is awesome! Everything is tasty and they have a wide selection of dishes to try. Always a great meal here!

I am truly disappointed.....I just discovered this place! It is a hidden gem. Who would have thought a restaurant of this caliber would be located in a strip center with a Target. It is a MUST if you are a true sushi lover. From the moment my husband and I stepped in the door we were impressed. Then we saw the menu. Sadly we were not able to order everything off the menu, but we did try. Our server, Alex, was on point. He answered all questions without hesitation and was extremely helpful with suggestions based on what we like and what we don't like. If you're a Food Snob, like myself, you'll appreciate the quality, and presentation of the food. As far as the drinks, The Lychee Martini! That's all I need to say about that. This place is simply OUTSTANDING and we're very fortunate to have such an establishment in our neighborhood. I was able to speak with the manager, Jaros about our wonderful experience and expressed our joy of finding it. He was extremely friendly and it was obvious why the establishment, along with the employees, is top notch! Great manager = great employees. The food speaks for itself, but with the proper team it's a win-win situation. To the owner of the BlooFin......We look forward to your Hughes Landing Restaurant. Congratulations on the new location! They have the best edamame around the area. I like all their sushi 🍣 favorite (Angus beef ) today I tried sky diver and was delicious. Literally everything is good. Every time we go we ask for Michelle ( great service) .

I ordered the Bloofin Signature Roll and it was fresh, but a little plain and underwhelming. Red Moon was about the same but the Yami Roll was the best of the 3. Felt a little pricey for me. Service was prompt and courteous. Atmosphere was lively and clean. I recommend sitting at the bar! Nice big TVs with basketball on!

My mouth still salivates & my taste buds are still dancing from our recent meal here. While there are many places to grab sushi around town, it's a MUST to recognize the ones that set the bar higher than the rest. Bloofin is one of those spots. Just like the food it serves, the restaurant is clean, modern, and inviting. The menu has an everything from simple wine & sake to specialty cocktails, from basic sushi & rolls to extravagant dishes that include the likes of wagyu, king crab, lobster, foie gras, and uni. Everything if fresh & PHENOMENAL. Can't forget to mention that service is also outstanding, which seems to be so hard to come by these days. As soon as we entered, the hosts were welcoming. Our waitress for the evening was Hannah, and she was a joy - so friendly and pleasant... And, the other staff members assisting her with bringing food to our table were also very prompt & attentive. This made our whole experience extra delightful. Already love this place...We will ABSOLUTELY be back!!!

First, the service here is next level. Johan and Andrew have restored my faith in what seems to be a dying breed of exceptional service, that it still exsists, at least where they are. They are a joy and everytime we have been here their service is above and beyond🙌 The food, everything we've had here, drinks included fantastic. The vibe, LOVE IT! Music is great, employees seem happy, it just has a really good upbeat vibe. It's clean. I am excited to see the success of this business bc they have created something special all around! #my2cents

This could easily be five stars. We’ve been here no less than 20 times and have always enjoyed the experience. From grandkids to date night, it’s a good and reliable place to enjoy the good food. The only thing that keeps it from five is the fact that very seldom when you look around, especially behind the counter, and see people smiling and providing an atmosphere that says that we’re happy to see you. We’ve been to several similar restaurants where that is their point of focus. They want to make sure that you know that everybody there is eager, able, and happy to serve you. Here, it feels a little bit more like a process that people are trying to get through That being said, many of the servers are very pleasant and attentive. The food is very good and worthy of Pete and referral. With a little effort from leadership/management, coaching, everyone who comes to the front of the house to demonstrate that their eager, able and happy, will go along way and increasing how many people are coming to this restaurant. Some addition suggestions, do not to put news in your restaurant. If you think about it, do you want to create a certain vibe in your restaurant and news often detracts from the vibe you want to create.

I just had dinner there. Ordered two rolls, and had water. One of my rolls had a hair in it. Though they comped the one roll, I felt as if they should have comped my meal altogether. Again, I just had the two rolls. Very disappointed and won't be going back.

The best sushi on this side of town.

Typical suburban eatery with terrible atmosphere, duty light fixtures, untrained waitstaff. Draft beer was cold. All the fish has a strange smoky flavor. Also, the prices were 40% higher than the posted menus. Nothing here worth coming back for. Bad music too. Flimsy banquet seating I could feel every movement from the table behind me.

Best sushi around. We've been coming since the grand opening and it's always been our sushi night spot. The yami roll is by far one of my favorites that they serve. If you're into a ramen they have a great vegetable one that is perfect. As for appetizers, the bloofin-viche and calamari are spot on and dessert the green tea creme brulee is out of this world.

Completely blōōwn away by the excellent food, speed, and service we were given when we decided to spend our anniversary dinner here. There are so many sushi places to choose from in this area, but if you are looking for quality and aesthetics, this is the place to go. We will be back.

Sushi was great. Plenty of options to choose from on the menu. Had ordered 3 rolls, side of fried rice, 1 appetizer, and 2 drinks, paid no more then 70$. Server was great and had great recommendations!

Most amazing yellow tail I've ever had. Bento box with chicken and shrimp teriyaki was okay. Sushi was awesome! Calamari was wonderful! Definitely going back.

Everything was superb, I will definitely be returning to try more items off the menu. Another pleasant surprise was how affordable this restaurant was, we expected to pay way more for this meal. The quality of the ingredients is something out of a Michelin rated establishment....

EDIT: We went back to celebrate an event, and our server, Jubilee, made it truly special and memorable. Tried new things.. The Bloofin Viche is fresh and delicious. We had desserts... The Matche Creme Brulee, Whiskey Latte, and Milk Crunch... All really good! The food was absolutely amazing! One of the best sushi restaurants we've been to. The best thing was the fois gras charanmushi... That was one of the best dishes I've ever had. We also had the Toro Special... Beautifully balanced and fresh. We also had the the Sashimi B plate and the Chirashi. Clean, fresh, bright sashimi. And the Tuna Sashimi with Goat Cheese... Absolutely delicious and surprising in it's unusual but balanced flavors. I had the Siryana (?) Swan cocktail... Very well crafted and smoky.. So good. The atmosphere was good. Only issue we had was with our server, Brian. He was terrible. Took forever for him to take our order, check on us, drinks, etc. Had to go to the bar to get a drink at one point because he just wasn't around. We could see the other servers taking care of everyone, so I don't think it's an issue with service at the restaurant overall, which is why I'm still giving 5 stars, but we would have had a far better experience if we'd gotten one of the other servers instead. Overall, great experience with the food. Definitely will go back and highly recommend!!

Absolutely wonderful place to get something to eat, and their drink selection is fantastic! Every time I come here, the food is wonderful, and the drinks don't disappoint. The food is delectable, and their sushi is amazing! Even if I try a sushi that isn't to my taste, it has such a wonderful quality to it that I can't even dislike it. If I were to recommend anything at all, I would definitely recommend the Foie Gras Chawamushi! It is to die for! As the atmosphere goes, it's very nice. It has a lot of Oriental inspiration, or Oriental decor. Very clean, modern look as well, whilst being warm and comfortable at the same time. My only issue with it would be the choice of music they have, (although it is personal opinion) I feel that the music takes away from the atmosphere a bit, but it doesn't matter too much when you have plenty of good food to talk about, and wonderful service to recieve. Speaking of wonderful service, our server, Jubilee, was fantastic! She was very warm and welcoming. She was professional, gave excellent recommendations for our table, and checked on us at all the right times! If you get her service, you will not be disappointed! 6 out of 5 stars!

A very good option for sushi considering price/benefit ratio. Very good quality ingredients at a very reasonable price. I tried the escolar carpaccio and was extremely delicious. The fish had a very buttery texture and it was very well balanced with the chives and tobiko. The nigiris I had were very well prepared, fresh fish. My ‘dessert’ was the unagi foie gras nigiri. A very delicate sweetness to finish the evening. We will definitely go back.

Been here twice. I've been eating sushi for about 25 years and this place is top 3 for me. Our server was Cecile both times and she was perfect.
