Our first visit and it is a really bad experience. It was not very busy, the service was very bad, we were waiting for the food for almost more than an hour and it arrived cold and burnt, the manager had a bad attitude, She did not apologize for anything and left without being able to speak, then She left mumbling We only did it to avoid paying, the bill was paid but the food was not consumed. The truth is that it was the first time, and I don't think I will return until they change the entire staff.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Someone from corporate really needs to evaluate this restaurant. We were seated at 11:10 am. It took about 20 minutes to be greeted by a server. We were ready to order at the same time so we did. While we were waiting we saw several other tables complain and ask for a manager. The manager was a young girl who appeared to have hickies all over her neck!!! We remained patient and hopeful. The server was very apologetic and did keep our drinks full. The restaurant had dirty tables all over that sat like that the entire time we were there. After an hour of waiting we became a little frustrated. We asked our server about how much longer. Another 20 min went by and they came out with our food. Every single plate was cold. The food was all cold. We were very confused as to how our food was cold if it was brought right from the kitchen. The pancakes, the chicken, the potatoes, the hash brown, the bacon, every single item was ice cold, not even warm. We immediately asked for a manager which her name was Ann. Ann pretty much said I’m not sure why it’s cold it just came out. At that point we told her we wouldn’t be eating anything and asked for our bill. She said your good to go, turned around and mumbled under her breath. The lack of professionalism, quality of food, and service was unreal. Thankfully this is not our home town Bob Evans, but they could really use a lesson on how to run a restaurant.

Not sure what was going on . It was not busy, but it took a bit to get seated, but I could tell after got seated most of the tables had not been cleared so I guess they were clearing them as customers came in. Then we ended up having to ask for a waitress, then we had to ask again for someone to come take our order. The waitress after asking several times for our rolls, and she finally brought them when we were finishing up our meal still not busy. Heaven forbid if this resteraunt had become busy. Need more training on the wait staff.

Poor management long wait to get seated for no reason

Summer salad has strawberries in it, which they have no strawberries. They just changed menus because I guess summer is over! Lol

I want to say that the food is always amazing, the staff is great. The few times there has ever been even a tiny issue the staff and manager has gone above and beyond to make it right for us. Brii is one of the best servers! And the manager Ann is always very pleasant and extremely helpful and caring. Keep up the good work, this will remain a weekly spot for us!!

Had not been to one in years. We really enjoyed it and my wife and I were able to talk and work on a couple of things The staff was very pleasant and always checked on us.

If I could get zero stars, I would I couldn’t get a review on the food here thought. I sit at the counter waiting to order and never got to order so the service I’m going have to say would be a zero as well and the atmosphere well there were about 15 servers standing behind the counter. I should’ve taken a picture because it sounds unbelievable, but this is so true from the bottom of my heart. I will never visit this location again thank you for not serving me.

I feel bad about leaving this review, but I agree with some complaints from others about the slow service. They actually almost forgot about me. The young waitresses were nice, but they didn’t exactly go above and beyond. They may have been teenagers though so I’m not expecting impeccable service. The food was just okay.

Excellent meals and best service

Ordered carry-out. Wanted a 1-piece fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn with country gravy on the side. I get my order and it's covered in chicken gravy. They said they would remake it. I specifically asked for new items. They didn't do that. There is still a bunch of chicken gravy in this container. Don't eat here, don't get carry-out from here. This is probably the WORST Bob Evans and should be shut down!!

Door dashed breakfast with pancakes, they sent me ham instead of bacon which is aggravating as it is but they don't have the courtesy of including BUTTER with my Burnt Pancakes and only one cap of syrup for 6 pancakes?!?!? Is this incompetence, or just outright lazy and not giving a care! Either way I'll never order anything from these cheapskates... Losing customers one order at a time!

Bob Evans never disappoints. You can always depend on home cooking here.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Food was all perfectly prepared and Briana was such an attentive host and had a great personality. The chicken noodles were great and the rolls were fresh. Everything was fantastic. Definitely recommend the wildfire ranch for your salad and the chicken noodles.

Our waitress was Bree. She’s in the black shirt. She is a super sweet young lady who provides consistently good service every time we come here. When you ask for extra napkins, she brings you some napkins. As soon as your dishes are empty, she is right there to collect them. When your glass is 1/2 empty, she is making tracks to bring another drink to you so you never run out. She always checks on you without being overbearing or catching you with your mouth full. You never hear her gossiping with other employees or standing around playing on her phone. No, I do not know her outside of her service here. I drive all the way from another county to come here because her service is so good 😊

We love Bob Evens. The food is very good and give you a lot. Everything there seems to taste good no mater what time of day you go. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

Three of us dined at the Lake Wales, FL location. After receiving our food plates I noticed that the cook, who had long dreadlock hair had a headpiece that he wears that was on top of their stainless steel counter and, he was NOT wearing a hair net. I stood up and noticed that the cook was NOT wearing gloves as he prepared peoples food with his bare hands. These three combinations made us sick to our stomachs so we did not finish our meals, we asked for the check, paid and left. This is disgusting! Every restaurant that we have eaten at for many, many years we have noticed that cooks wear hair nets, beard nets and gloves...we always check for this. Even Publix food preparers are required to wear hair nets, beard nets and gloves. County inspectors look for these requirements upon inspection. Needless to say, we will never dine at this Lake Wales, FL Bob Evans again.

Good ole fashion diner vibe with a splash of modern. Waitresses are sweet, and bring coffee refills. Breakfast food is excellent. The lunch chicken salad needs to lose the relish and just use fresh chicken and mayo. Instead of serving on a tiny bed of greens and garnishing with huge lettuce leaves, chop the lettuce leaves and add to the salad. Wash the silverware better. Keep the cute jar glasses and the pomegranate apple splash. Prices are good.

This has to be the worst location with service. We waited 20 minutes after being seated before we walked out. No one came to get drink orders or say they would be with us. 2 people were standing around talking behind the counter and didn't acknowledge us or say anything when we walked out. There was 1 other table there. We went elsewhere and were sat and served and it was much busier there.

I got the Fish Platter. It was supposed to be battered cod, it was Gortons, with a few fries and Mac & cheese. The other meal was supposed to be the Turkey Platter. She got two thin pieces of turkey over a big pile of stovetop stuffing and corn. My wife ordered a salad with the turkey and it was served after we both got our entrees. When we got the bill my wife ask if she was supposed to get Mashed Potatoes with her meal. The waitress said yes and ask if she wanted them to go. We decided dessert was not something we wanted to do here. We will not return to Bob Evans.

First visit ever to Bob Evans, like the sausage. It was late morning, so it was still a good breakfast time. It gave me that old countrytime feeling when Inwalked in. Not terribly busy. I got seated almost immediately, the server came over, older lady, looked tired with a touch of cranky pain face. She was pleasant enough, took my order and went on her way. My food came out at a very quick time. I ordered as they have it on their men the "new" Steak tips and eggs, yes similar to the pancake place menu. The difference is pancake place marinate the steak in a sweeter sauce, Bob Evans give you straight steak. Personally I like the straight steak better. It could use a better seasoning but good with steak sauce... I like sauce. Food was average basically what you would expect of a chain breakfast diner. If you are hungry and need to stop, I dont see a reason not to. The orange juice in the Mason jar was cute.

It was pretty crowded on Easter Sunday, but not too long of a wait. Pleasing staff and yummy selections. I had the veggie “bowl” and felt like “ shrinkation” had taken place (it did not fill the skillet as the photo on the menu had depicted, though tasty) but the mimosa was good and my friends enjoyed their meals (avocado veggie omelet and pancake and egg with sausage and bacon) they also commented on the smallness of my dish. Hence, I give them a 4 stars cuz I was hungry again after I got home and I paid $12 + for my breakfast.

Food was delicious service was excellent although it was a little long but they were busy so we expected a little wait, but well worth going.

What happened? We come here often but tonight this restaurant failed. Our server was excellent, courteous and very efficient. She definitely deserves a 10* pat on the back. Now for the bad part. I ordered the 2 pc. Chicken breast dinner, mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac & cheese. The Mac was way over cooked and dry, the so called chicken breasts were no more than chicken patties but the potatoes were perfect as were the rolls. We will be back but will not order the chicken breast again.

I live in Lake Wales, Florida and I had taken my friends to eat Breakfast at Bob Evan and it's truly worth the money. I recommend anyone looking for a dine in restaurant is Bob Evan. They have a Banana Bread is so delicious that I truly recommend to anyone visiting the restaurant. I forgot to mention friendly environment.

We have been here on many occasions and the entire experience is always great. The food is hot and plentiful, these servers are friendly and efficient. We recommend to everyone.

When there are more staff than customers, there shouldn't be piss all over the mens restroom. And this was within 90 minutes of the store opening.... makes you wonder how well they keep their kitchen cleaned ?????

Stay away from Lake Wales Bob Evans. My family and I went there Sunday evening. There was only about 12 families in the restaurant. We ordered our beverages and then our food. It took over 30 minds before anyone came back around to check on our drinks. It took over an hour to get our food(for the 4 of us). Noticed other people got their food, but others in their party didn't get theirs until 10 mins later. Service sucks, I know they may be short staffed, but instead of sitting behind the counter, check on the customers.

Well, forgive my comment but the service was terrible (the only one who was friendly and helpful was the lady who met us at the door), they took a long time to attend to us and the food as such arrived lukewarm. The cutlery was dirty and when we ordered others they were the same that we decided to clean it with the only napkin. The only good thing was the strawberry lemonade.

Butter has been replaced with margarine, serving size of pot roast at least, has bern reduced. Except for dirty shirts, service was fine.

Unfortunately, poorly managed and appears to be under staff. No sense of urgency at all levels.

Bob Evans has been around for years and we've been committed to coming here for over 10 years and it's still thee BEST! Best breakfast and dinner and biscuits and gravy are always a must have! This one in Lake Wales is our Bob Evans and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Today has been not a great experience, server was very slow on getting drinks not to mention food to us. Also when my daughter got her pancakes there was no syrup nor butter server stated she would be right back with those and completely forgot it by such time my daughter was already full so wasted money on blueberry pancakes with bananas my corn was wilted and not very good, the fried chicken skin was like paper it was not good had two breast and didn't even eat the other one nor my corn. Only positive was the appetizer of cinna biscuits and few onions rings, my mash potatoes and gravy was good but that is it everything else was a COMPLETE disappointment this is the 2nd time the same server has been slow about things and forgot things. I think from now on we will go elsewhere.

Nice clean place staff is great food isn't to bad

Did curbside pick up. Let's see. They forgot to put the soup in the bag. They forgot to put the fries in the bag. They forgot the salad dressing. They forgot the BBQ sauce. And to top it off my tenders were over cooked and the breading was like a rock. My fault. I never should have done curbside and I should have checked the bag.

Little to no ac (which made it very uncomfortable) Waitress was dirty, and rude. In my opinion the way she carried the food and drinks was gross. Before we were even done eating she brought us the check didn't ask if we wanted anything else or boxes. She was lucky I was honest because she gave me someone else's check I could have paid that which was a lot less then mine. Bad experience don't think I will go back.

Food is ok but honestly any breakfast place is better than this might as well go to ihop or dennys the food had no salt and was cold and please do not get any of there apple stuff it ruined my french toast i almost threw up from how nasty it was idk for the money i say its not worth it theres an ihop and dennys 2 mins away go there instead

I went in today December 31,2023 to this restaurant. Our sever summer was horrible, impatient and clearly don’t like her job.She got our drinks wrong and when the food arrived it was wrong as well. She got frustrated when she had to take the food back to the kitchen. The general manager Dwayne was even worst. He came to our table rude as ever. Racial profiled us. Got in my mother n law face and everything. He definitely didn’t handle the situation in a general manger manner . I will be contacting corporate on this location about this situation.

Placed take out order for one chicken pecan salad and one fireside chicken salad. Got home and had 2 fireside salads. No chicken pecan. Paid 30.00 for wrong order.

Came in on Veterans Day 2023 with family expecting a great meal. Our server was phenomenal, but whomever is in charge of staffing for a HOLIDAY, should be fired. It was over a two hour meal. The restaurant was understaffed and ill equipped to deal with a busy Holiday. Utterly disgraceful to leave your staff that way.

Everything about this place is on point,the service and the Location is what I like the most,the staff is amazing and super friendly,that biscuits and gravy is like 🤤 OMG, this is my first spot.

The food was excellent. There was not a large waiting line, but there was a long wait for seating & subsequent service. Our waitress tried very hard to accommodate us (2) but had far too many tables to service. The kitchen staff was equally slow. Everyone tried very hard to make an overwhelming situation work. Hats off to them. Our "quick" lunch turned into 2 hrs.

Laura was our server and she did amazing!! Our church group of 21 had a great time and we will be back!

I tried the new pulled pork mac n cheese. It would have been lovely if it hadn't been cold. They didn't seem too concerned. I also tried the new rancher bbq beef dinner, which was also just ok. Some of the potatoes weren't cooked properly and were hard. I'm not sure if I'd try them again. The serving staff didn't seem to care.

This place is good for breakfast, but I do not recommend it for lunch or dinner. The service was awful. The menu is limited. Clean, yes, I didn't use the restroom.

Food was good, missed an item, but it was corrected. The bills all got mixed up. We got charged for another's items. It was so messed up the manager comp'ed our meal, which was very nice. Everyone was kind and patient and we were willing to pay for what we ate. It was a nice gesture.

I can't rate the food because after waiting almost 30 minutes to be seated for one and letting the hostess know that I only needed one seat amd there was plenty of 2 seat booths she tells me she needs to seat a party of 7 that was AFTER me on the seating list. So because this generation seems to not know how to critically think let me offer some advice. When a customer comes to you and communicates they have been skipped on the list for no apparent reason you don't tell them basically sorry for your luck you aren't that important I'm gonna seat someone else who seems to be more important. I love Bob Evans restaurants so I won't quit going because I always get great service but my husband and I won't be coming to this location again. This is why people are preferring mom and pops compared to treatment like this

Steak was tough and broccoli had no butter as was stayed on menu. Banana bread was a lot smaller than usual.

We had stopped going here, because it was always very cold in the restaurant and they claimed they could not control the A/C. Decided to try it again with visiting family last week. We all had their seasonal special pancakes with Caramel Sauce & eggs. They were the worst! My wife's was cold along with the frozen apples that topped them, so they were sent back. My scrambled eggs, were not real eggs and were watery & tasteless. Over all a terrible experience. The shame is that we used to go there quite often especially for holidays.
