Service always grateful that goes there and the lady is always helpful

Came in here saturday afternoon after moving and it was such a nice respite. The food was hot very tasty and there was enough that we each took quite a bit to go. We Tried the banana pudding for the first time and it did not disappoint. Our server was Jenny and she could not have been nicer. We really appreciated the whole experience and would definitely be back.

Fried green tomatoes were not great, green beans were great, 1949 hamburger was good.

I went to the window to order a salad on 7/21/24. There were all white people they were cold. I shouldn't order after seeing the racist faces. I ate a bit as I got in the car as I got home ate some more . My stomach boiled up in a knot, I started diarrhea and vomiting. We as black people need to stop supporting these people restaurant. I don't know what they put in my salad it had me so sick.

I spent 30 dollars on a rib plate and a pint of soup not a cup but a pint meant to feed 2 or 3 and was given 6 packs of club crackers and told i would have to pay 25 cent per pack after that....i mean are u seriously that cheap and low budget of a restaurant i just soent 30 freaking dollars on one meal to be treated like i am asking for too much for wanting morw than 6 packs of crackers for a pint of soup.... management should be ashamed that they are running a business in that way

Only our second time being at this location. Love Bono’s usually but this experience has made our choice to NOT come back! Our food was not hot and our waitress had to keep asking us what it was we ordered again about 3 times. Had to walk up to the counter 3 different times to get things that were told she would bring right back. Instead, she was at the bar, eating her own hot food. Had a table of 8 ladies behind us, which 2 got their food and 30 minutes later, the other 6 had not received theirs yet. Definitely will NOT be back.

We didn’t get what what ordered we got chicken tenders (flat)and asked for two sandwiches and got a piece of bread and meat under it.

Brunswick stew was not inviting. Sweet potatoes did not look like sweet potatoes neither taste like sweet potatoes. I tasted cinnamon more than potatoes. Some people are under a doctor's care and would like to enjoy a good meal.

Just ordered a double meat salad…which I asked the to lady for turkey or chicken breast…she could’ve told me there’s no turkey breast then I’ll choose the turkey breast instead they gave me beef which I didn’t asked. I went back and told her that I didn’t want the beef I wanted the breast instead she charged me extra $5 dollars for a small chicken breast. They took 30 plus minutes with the the small chicken breast and I finally went back to get it she said it almost done. When get the grilled chicken it doesn’t look good it looked wet and moist full of water and cold. I felt like they did something to the chicken I threw it away. They wasn’t nice enough to consider the mistake and lacked of customer support. I gave her a $4 salad cost $18 plus $5 dollars extra for their mistake! I wasted almost $30 dollars on a salad. I will not recommend this place

1.) waitress had stained and dirty t shirt on and sores and scabs on her hands 2.). She was hard to understand, but said she was 20 min late for work because she needed to stop and get her coffee. 3.) we were the second people there after restaurant opened and waited for quite some time for our cold food! 4.) the butter didn’t melt on cold sweet potatoes and meat was neither cold or hot…more like room temp and sitting out for awhile 5.) the “pulled pork” was NOT…it was more like a ham meat in cubes with 3/4 fat! Couldn’t eat much of it. When we questioned the waitress she said the last cook that quit took the shredder with him. Huh???? 6.) when we got our bill we also had the dinners from the booth behind us on our bill? I will not be back!!!!!

This was the first and last time going to the Bono’s on Jammie’s rd. The food was cold the service was ok and the portion size was small. After the bill came which was 30.02 total I tipped $5 cash then my bank alerted me that the charge was $36.02. I don’t know what they did but I think she tried to get an extra $6 tip. After talking to the manager they told me I was going to be credited my $6 back. We’ll see. I have never had a problem with any of the other bono locations and we usually go to the one in Fleming island a few times a month. I will never go to this one again

Only had one waitress working the floor lady behind the counter was rude and not friendly or helpful manager know where to be seen daughter-in-law and I ordered pulled pork sandwiches and they weren't pulled pork at all they were like chunks of barbecue worst barbecue place ever zero review if I could give it to them

It was not pleasing to the palate. Nor was it cooked, well done.But the efforts were there. The waiter, when she did come back because she came sparingly, tried, she offered something as replacement but by then we were done.

The service is not good and very delayed. My meat was cold before I got my silverware. The bine in ribs should be falling off the bone. My husband had to rip the meat off leaving half the meat stuck to the bones and inedible. I ordered a 2 meat combo. The pulled pork had more than one full mouth full of fat. For a little portion that's about 30% of that meat. I paid an extra dollar to make one of my sides into a salad and got a tiny bit of lettuce, tiny tomato and one onion circle. They piled a bunch of crackers and croutons on the plate and a huge hand full of cheese. So to be clear I paid for a plate of cheese and pile of crackers etc. to be the substitute for my side. I don't eat gluten or cheese. The server was spread thin and kept getting things wrong. I was a server most of any jobs I have had and would never act like I wasn't sorry if I messed up. When I asked for a refill to go with no ice she brought it back with ice and acted like I was crazy for expecting her to not bring it back with ice. Good service would be apologizing, and fixing it. In all the problems there I was not given one single apology. I personally will NEVER eat there again. The peeling shellac on the tables makes them all sticky which feels like you're eating at a dirty table. Ribs should be FALLING OFF the bone, not putting up a fight. When you pay extra for something to be upgraded, it shouldn't be an actual downgrade due to quality.

Not a good place to eat for Military Veterans. They used to support Veterans by giving them a small discount. Today we eat on this restaurant after church and my husband who is a retired Army and spend 20yrs in service and asked for military discount and the manager told him that they don't give discount to Veterans anymore, only for active duty while in uniform! seriously? do you think that is fair? So you mean if you just got in the military just for few days they honor you, but it you spend 20years they dont.

Have always liked Bono's. Love there food. There staff has always been nice. Had the three meat salad which is my favorite thing to have and it's always so satisfying.

Ordered the LG 2 meat platter. Portion size was that of the small ,so can't imagine what small looks like. Now I remember why I stopped going to bonos. There are too many BBQ options here in Jax to be disappointed. Dont use there App, it charges 3 dollar service charge,on top of 18 percent tip. Gotta be kidding. I guess they assume no one pays attention. They also don't accept your military ID for discount. Was told you have to be in uniform to get the discount. New change by management. These restaurants cutting corners are hurting themselves. Customer service was okay.

Been Going to Sonny's Bbq for many many years, for the first time it wasn't that good Service was terrible, food was okay. It was a Sunday Afternoon everyone was getting out of church or other Sunday activities. I am sure that there will be more, but I will say this I will be back for lunch or dinner 98 times out of a 100 the food and service is Freaking Awesome and everyone is polite and friendly. We absolutely love their bbq salad! The pig can't touch it. We quit going to Sonnys. They have gotten just awful. We remembered Bonos salad and go there once or twice a week whenever we can

I moved from California in 2021 and i saw their ad in the paper so i went. i have to say everything was outstanding.

Very friendly people with excellent service.

Most of the tables still had dirty dishes on the table when I got there and still on the table when I left. There was no clean plates, so they had to serve my food in to go plates. The ribs was a little over cooked. The service was slow , because she was the only server on the floor , she kept up with the customer as one person possible could.

It was expensive for what you received on your plate, and IMO, the food was lacking in flavor. Save your money and go to Sonny's BBQ instead!

I've always had good experiences at this place until today. I ordered the same thing I always get. The server we had I'm assuming is new. She brought my food out and it was wrong. When I told her it was wrong she actually wanted to argue with me 😳 won't be going back

I called to complain about my food because I did a take out order and when I got home it wasn’t correct. I asked for 2 center cut Turkey salads and asked to make them both a hawg style salad. They barely gave me enough meat to equal a hawg and they didn’t want to accommodate me at all. Done of The staff are RUDE and I’ve seen one of them come from outside and not wash her hands. I had to say something to her about and she got an attitude with me because I asked her to ask her hands. I have been a patron of this location for years and NEVER had a problem until recently and this isn’t the first time!!!! I’M VERY DISPLEASED AND DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FAILING SERVICE FROM THIS LOCATION AND I’M CONSIDERING TAKING MY BUSINESS TO ANOTHER LOCATION!! I’m saddened by this because I really love the food but, I WANT WHAT I’M PAYING FOR!!!!

I ordered a 3 meat salad 11-11-2023 the meat was either old or the part that was supposed to be thrown away the cashier said they have 3 cutters if he's an older man with gray hair ,low cut,low gray beard don't let him make your salad he needs to retire or find another professional the presentation is everything when ordering your food Unexceptable totally.

This particular Bonos is definitely has a down home, small town kind of feel to it along with really good bbq. It was a little bit slow on the service possibly due to the high volume of customers at the time so I gave the location 4 stars. I think if they had another waiter/waitress on staff to assist would have gotten 5. But if you're not in a hurry yo get somewhere and want to enjoy the food and company totes 5 stars.

I go here often and this time was an awful experience!! The server wasn't the best by far and the food was ice cold... Me and a friend both ordered hamburgers and the bun was brunt not toasted and the burger was ice cold. The only thing that was good was the corn nuggets. Had to walk to the front in order to speak with the manager whom didn't care about me voicing my concerns and was totally disconnected from the conversation. Such a disappointment

Great BBQ & great service at the Jammes Rd Bono's. Chris, the Pitmaster, always slices up a hot & tasty brisket sandwich. Melody & John make you feel welcome every time you visit. The counter is a great place to watch the Jags play while enjoying tasty BBQ.
