Worst hotdog I ever ate in my life . If you like a pink radioactive bland Hotdogs. Chili wash horrible would of been better off with hormel chili from a can .I couldn't eat them And threw them out the window .never again

Hot dogs are good. I was raised up eating from here. The recipe has changed through the years for hot dogs. I believe they're not as good as they used to be.

As a native of this area, I am ashamed to say it's taken me quite some time to finally stop in and have a Bowlings hot dog. It is definitely a locals favorite and they, alo.g with the staff were great! I had fun talking with everyone almost as much as I enjoyed my food. Of course, I had to have a little bit of everything! Hot dogs, pi tos, corn bread, and cheese. Yes, a slice of cheese. I'll be back, and if you haven't been, I highly recommend that you go!

I absolutely love this place. The people are awesome and the hot dogs for some reason are out of this world. Go grab a dog and a piece of hoop cheese and a beer or soda and enjoy. Or try they're pinto beans they're great to.

Look, this place is a no thrills hotdog joint. The hotdogs are great and the beer is cold. Immediately when you walk in, there is a wrap around bar. I ate my hotdog "all the way", didn't ask any questions about what was on it, just ordered it and ate it. I figured that if this place had some of Franklin countys best hotdogs might as well eat it the way that got them famous. Well, I can say it was pretty dang good. I believe it had slaw, chili, mustard, onions, and mayo (to my surprise). Great place to stop in, get out of the sun, and enjoy a hotdog.

Summer after high school, I worked at Fleetwood (the Mobil home factory in Rocky Mount and at lunchtime the whole factory would empty out and head up Rt 40 for Bowling’s hot dogs. They were that good!

Has a diner feel, awesome staff that treats you like family, clean facility, cheap food without sacrificing quality, and comfortable seating. Will be coming back here more regularly!

The food is basically what you can expect from eating a hotdog, nothing spectacular about that to be honest I think the place is more of a social gathering spot that just happens to offer food. The service was great they didn't take credit cards and a woman that works there took and covered part of my tab because I was limited on cash. The looks I received while there is what really got my attention it made me feel really unwelcome as soon as me and my brother entered the establishment. All of the talking stopped and there was nothing but staring from everyone else inside like they didn't enjoy an African American being served the same way they were and with Franklin County being a racist place to begin with I believe it is safe to say that I am correct.

Did a to go order. Usually always good. Fair prices. Only thing is I HATE mustard. To the point it makes me sick. Ordered hotdogs with chili, ketchup, and onion. Sent my boyfriend (which is where I messed up since he doesn’t check the food) and I got chili, ketchup, and mustard! They fixed it but the drive back isn’t really worth the gas.

Great stop off from a day of motorcycle riding. You may even know someone there. Local hangout.

Me and my wife stopped in with our grandson. We was looking for a good hot dog and bowlings was recommended. When we walked in I noticed a few people setting at the bar having a beer and some dogs. I said right then I bet these people are regulars. We was greeted and our order was taken by an amazing lady who didn't need to write it down. As I set and watched I was right the people at the bar all knew each other. The staff seemed to know everyone in their except us. But they treated us just like we had been long time customers. The hot dogs was great but the best part was the down home atmosphere. It left me wishing we had something like this near our neighborhood.

Been going here since I was a kid, but if tasty hotdogs and cold beer are what you're feeling you'll find no better place. Prices are always amazingly low and their hotdogs and cheese has never been bad in 20 years.

My girlfriend grew up in the area and told me this place had great hotdogs. I decided to stop in and grab a couple to go. It was loaded with onions, minced BBQ and coleslaw. It was the best hotdog I have ever tasted. The hotdog was a good quality hotdog and the bun was steamed but those toppings put it over the top. I had a conversation with a lady who could have been the owner and she told me the place had been they fifty years. It was a cash only business but $6 for the two hotdogs and a bottle of soda was good value in my opinion. It's a small, shabby, nostalgic restaurant with massive hotdog game. I highly recommend a stop if you like hotdogs.

Some of the BEST hot dogs I've ever had and the pinto beans WOW.. AMAZING. Service was exceptional as well. This was my first time visiting and I'll definitely be back.

I wouldn't recommend Bowling's Hot Dogs unless you are a regular. Twice I've tried to go as a new customer and each time I have not had a good experience. The first time the waitress was extremely rude and acted like she did not even want to serve us. The second time, even though we were there well before closing with people in the restaurant, the waitress refused to serve us (I was with my 80 year old grandfather who was looking forward to a good hotdog and pintos) so we left. Unfortunately, that'll be the last time that I try to go to Bowling's because I'm not going to go somewhere we aren't wanted.

Great place to just casually eat a couple of hot dogs with chili pinto beans and a cold beer. Fast service and hot food. They know there customer's by name and if they don't know you the first time you go, they will get to know you and greet you when you come in the door. A must try in Franklin County.

Been a long time since I was in Bowlings but basically the same. Mayo was sour/bitter tasting so ended up taking half of my "veggie" dogbun home for the fish. Beer was cold and that was nice. Lot's of memories there but definitely not my favorite place to visit. Worse part was fighting the flies trying to get their share.

There is no other place to go for dogs, pintos, cheese, and beer! Best place to meet friends, old and young.

Had one of the best BBQ sandwiches I ever ate in my life. And a piece of chocolate pie for dessert. Oh my.....the best. Will return often!

I like bowling’s hot dogs but I usually get take out if I come here because they allow customers to smoke inside. I find it highly objectionable to have to sit near people who are smoking.

An American tradition. What a wonderful little local [hole in the wall] stop. The owners/counter people are a hoot. Locals have said that they love the place and stop often. Everyone is extremely friendly and happy to see you. We stop by at least once a week just to see what is going on and grab a beer and a chilly dog or two. See ya there...
