Nice locals who graciously sold us some beers even though they were not open.

Stopped on our way to McCarthy. It's a great atmosphere and super welcoming! We'll be stopping in again on our way back!

A must stop on your way to Macarthy we had the best time swapping stories with some very nice locals the bartender Charlie was very friendly and funny kept us entertained all evening we didn’t have any food but I’m sure had we it would have been great

Great local people great stories

This is a very funky backcountry Alaskan bar and it’s not to be missed. This little place has a pretty good selection of beer and spirits, considering that it’s pretty far away from everywhere. It has a lot of historical decor, and is everything that a dive bar should be.

I had to stop since I'm an uncle and named Tom too. But Uncle Tom himself was there and was really cool to talk to. He knew everything about the area and told me some cools spots to check out.

Uncle Tom's tavern is a step back in time to the "good ol days". Very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area, stop in have a drink and share some fish stories!

This is a wonderful little bar. Tom decorates with antiques from the old mining days of Kennicot. Come have a drink.

Best bar on Copper River. Thank God for fisherman. It's all the fishermen. We appriciate them all.

This is definitely a locals bar/hole in the wall. The waitress was very nice, friendly and quick. Food can be ordered from the Food Truck next door, prices are high but the food was good. If you want to catch up on your Alaska news, grab a beer, and eat some food with locals this is a good stop. Word of caution smoking still allowed inside the bar and you may smell like smoke when you leave.

I worked in Chitina for 2 months in late 2014. Uncle Tom's Tavern was the only drinking hole (besides the Chitina Hotel) in town; definitely came to love it during my time there. Any true drinking man would...

Buns were dry. Patties were TOO salty.
