This was my first time visiting. Everyone else in my party has been here once or twice before, and talked it up quite a bit, so my expectations were high. Even so, they were exceeded. Everything was quite tasty. In fact, my veal liver and onions were the best I've ever had. To top it off, or server John was super friendly and made the experience even better. We took a short walk around the grounds and met a sweet dog who played with us. It was a magical dinner. I can't wait to come back.

If you're a foodie, you'll love it - great food. Wonderful quaint setting inside and outside. Great location in the countryside just outside of Poulsbo.

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner for about 50 people there. I'm not sure if my son told them we wanted to wait 2 hours before being served, it seems unlikely. The food was dry and disappointing. The wine was poor (any wine from the nearby Costco would have been better). The crab dip was good. The garden is pretty. There isn't much sound dampening so it was difficult to talk with people.

We happened to stumble on this gem of a restaurant tonight! A real family feel with beautiful, absolutely delicious food! Thank You!

Kind of eclectic fun atmosphere. Most notable is the big nose above the toilet.

We had a delicious dinner AND dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted fabulous. The staff was so friendly. I can’t wait to go back.

10 stars ⭐️! The ambience , service and food were amazing. Ask for John the server from New Zealand he made us feel at home and was impeccably attentive and numerous . The menu changes weekly and tonight we shared the white bean salad , cheese plate, chicken saltimbocca. The winter garden grounds were interesting and magical. Definitely don’t miss an opportunity to dine here.

Birthday group of 13 split between two tables and people moving around to visit accordingly ... Food and chef were great, Grumpy Old Men duo running the front, not so much ... they expected people to stay in the same seats where they started, and rather than yelling across the room, people would circulate and visit ... then having a dog running around in the dining area is odd, but when begging at the tables the whole dinner, without so much as a glance or word from the staff until someone finally gave her something, and then getting yelled at by the owner for it? The cook had been saying she gets her dinner cooked for her later using steak and halibut scraps ... the upset owner's scolding consisted of statements of the dog having a restricted diet consisting of very specialized food and feeding her table scraps could hurt or even kill her! Felt like we were in trouble the whole time we were there. Very awkward and unprofessional in my opinion. And then the 45 minutes it took to sort, get, and finally pay the bill was grueling. Granted a couple characters in the dinner group weren't the most reserved or ideal guests, I'm sure, but certainly didn't warrant the less than professional responses ...

We love going to Molly Wards. Locally owned and operated, locally sourced, rotating menu that is five stars, and great service every time. Sit down, order drinks and food then roam the garden while you wait. The chef will let you know when it's served.

I made reservations a month before my wife’s 65th birthday for her birthday. Did not get a response for a week before I got a call. Conversation was confusing, she thought I needed reservations for that upcoming weekend, although e-mail stated the exact date. I called again the next day and spoke to the same person just to confirm and asked for an email confirmation. Got the email confirming reservation. On the day of reservation, I called five hours before my reservation (as soon as they opened and got someone to answer phone) to again confirm. I was told that I wasn’t on their calendar and they were totally sold out for a private party. They offered me to go leftovers. I had been to Molly Ward probably 4 or 5 times in pass 15 years, and service and food quality declined each time while prices continued to climb. No effort to make it up, just willingness to sale me left over pork tenderloin to go. Not a good experience!

Molly Ward Gardens is a hidden treasure. Located in Poulsbo, Sam Ward has owned this place for over 30 years. I had the Halibut which was excellent. My friends tried to tower of crab and other dishes. All were delighted with their meal. Our server Stacey was very attentive and made us very welcome Prices were reasonable for the quality of food, excellent service and ambience

I'm 51 and this is my all-time favorite restaurant EVER! It's a whole experience! I wish I could bundle a little bit of the magic this place has and keep it with me at all times. You have to experience Molly Ward Gardens for yourself! It's simply a little slice of Heaven on Earth!

We'd probably give 4 stars if the prices weren't so high. My meal was delicious and my husband's was disappointing across the board. My husband's halibut cakes were utterly flavorless even with the orange garnish and the tartar sauce. The spinach pine nut soup he got was good, but mostly tasted of butter and cream. My scallops were perfectly cooked in beurre blanche and the maple mustard sauce on the artichoke salad was delicious. However there were only 5 scallops and maybe 6 bites of salad. The semifreddo we shared for dessert was tasty. Like a typical overly-fancy restaurant, it's all about the plating, so plan on ordering an appetizer and dessert each, or plan on leaving hungry.

We have not had an as romantic and delicious experience for years! The food was delicious and proportionally sized so that we could enjoy the menu. It was also all local if not home grown and used perfectly well in a blend of flavors to allow your pallette to have an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was romantic and relaxing to the point that you felt it in the air. Then, asd in an accomplished piano player, and you have a venue to dance to. We did! We highly recommend this place. The son, our waiter was fabulous The father, the chef was Executive and the mother, the pastry chef was phenomenal!

Scrumptious, organic meals, beautifully presented (often with edible flowers). Eclectic, fun atmosphere, with gorgeous gardens for outside dining. Delightful servers! An overall charming experience and one of our favorite family-owned PNW places to dine.

We were there for a wedding and it was beautiful. The grounds and building were immaculate. The food delicious and the staff impressive. I would recommend this place for a meal or venue for a wedding.

The waitress was super nice but the food was absolutely horrible. The steak had so much fat and was about impossible to cut through. Will never go there again.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here last week. The staff went above and beyond for us!! The food was excellent and very reasonably priced! The cocktails were excellent! The environment is calming, heartwarming, and beautiful! The piano player was superb! We will definitely return again and again! Thank you so much!

Everything was fantastic the few times we have been. For the few negative reviews, I’d take those as “complainers” who have no idea about fine dinning. They need to stick with going to those chain type, unhealthy places where more for less is their standards. The only reason I took one star off is that the owner obviously either doesn’t care too much about his customers or is a bit social media inept. A good owner or manager needs to “read” the good and bad comments left either to thank them or rebut bs. For this, one star is going to come off. Otherwise, the food is excellent and the surroundings are beautiful!

Best resterant on the Olympic Peninsula. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere.

I can not recommend Molly Ward Gardens enough! The atmosphere is amazing. There was live music while we were eating our dinner and the staff was absolutely the very best. They were kind, accommodating, professional, and very attentive. The food was fantastic and came in a timely manner. We had a very large party and all our food came at the same time and prepared to perfection. THANK YOU Molly Ward Gardens!

This is a very unique restaurant in a Barn. Lotus root was a surprised to us and it was great. The quality of the meat and vegetables were great. The pianist was great and she plays on Wednesday and Friday.

As a local of Jefferson/Kitsap Counties for many many years off and on I have had the great pleasure of visiting every resturant that has opened in the area. However none that remain open today or in the past 10 years can beat Molley Ward Gardens. Not only is the re purposed barn building great and clever enough to keep away tourist the resturant staff are easy, the most fun and nicest folks. I can say there is nowhere I would rather spend a friday night. Oh and the food, the food is liquid gold. Do your self a favor and let the chef pick your salad, apitiser, meal, dessert, and pairings he knows whats goid for you better then you could even imagine.

Went for our 16th anniversary and had a lovely time. The atmosphere and service were wonderful and the food was amazing. The stuffed mushrooms were the best I have ever had. The drinks were strong pours, but otherwise fairly mediocre.

Molly ward is special. It's a hidden gem, serving unique, sensitive food in an eclectic and intimate environment. You can feel that this is a passion project, fueled with years of experience. These are people worth supporting, making artistic food worth eating.

Went for a weekend event. Had the best paella I've ever eaten. The live music was great and the drinks were perfect. Cannot wait to go back

A most fabulous brunch served outside in the garden on a perfect weather day. Wonderful waiter and then to tour the acre and a half gardens was just the best. We hadn't heard of this place before and just showed up on a hunch - couldn't have been more impressed! Call ahead if you plan to go as they prefer a notice.

This was one of the most memorable experiences of fine dining that I've ever experienced. The atmospheric vibe in this place is mesmerizing and the food, amazing and eclectic, not to mention fresh as hell! Definitely coming back for the live music, and more food. Yummmmmmm

Incredibly friendly staff, great food, and a welcoming rustic setting. Plan on spending some extra time wandering the property and gardens! The prices are fair for the mountain of food with fresh veggies straight from their garden.

We came here for a private family dinner after a celebration of life/memorial. I cannot say enough about the beauty, gardens, aclectic decor.. and this was just upon arrival! The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Now...about the food. SUPERB!!! Everyone in our party cleaned their plates as well as dessert! Tucked away in the woods enjoying drinks, food and family was the perfect end to a special day. We will be back again soon.

Labyrinth of spectacular gardens to explore, delicious food, and lovely service.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely breakfast here sitting outside beneath the trees and listening to the woodpeckers call to each other. Food was very well prepared. You might gasp at the price of the crab omelette but it is absolutely loaded with crabmeat. And you absolutely must schedule time to walk around the gardens after your meal here. Definitely worth the drive!

We always check their weekly menu. We've never had a bad meal here. Foods that we normally don't eat (because we don't like) were made so well we were fighting over who got the last bite. Highly recommend.

My two daughters and I went this morning at 10 o’clock for brunch. We were celebrating their march birthdays. We have Missed Molly Wards during Covid and we’re excited to be able to go back. Our meals were beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. The atmosphere is still cozy and nostalgic. So glad you made it through Covid Molly Ward will be back soon.

We found this treasure on our drive down the coast. It sparkled in the evening dusk with its festive twinkle lights. Inside the barn was the most beautiful hideaway - soft music, candles, chandeliers and tables set with china. An A+ for atmosphere yet that was just the beginning. Each course of our dining experience was exceptional - beyond expectation and far more delectable than any food we’ve had during our travels around the PNW. Our host, and the second generation restauranteur of this family owned delight, hosted us with his elegant mannerism and attentive service. We will be back and next time this will be our planned destination!

Really damn good. So good, I had to leave a review. I got the Flat Iron Steak Salad, and the steak alone was worth the cost. The delicious salad that came with it and its balsamic dressing is the best salad I've ever had.

My husband took me here tonight for our anniversary. He made reservations so that we would for sure get a spot in this adorable little place. Fresh home made bread, amazing salmon cakes with pan fried potatoes, delicious dessert. I had a great experience and our waiter was so knowledgeable, quick and super friendly! Definitely will be back! We love the idea of the rotating weekly menu and the fresh farm to table food.

Wow a hidden gem. Googled restaurants in the area when in Port Gamble. Off the beaten path but worth the short drive. Awesome service and great food. The steak salad was the best. Will return when in the area.

I had the halibut and my husband had the crab tower. We shared the scallops. Outstanding! Molly's interior could be described as eclectic and funky but the food isn't. The quality of the food is allowed to shine, through expert preparation and complementary flavors. Best meal of our 10 day trip through Seattle, Victoria and Vancouver.

Intimate setting with personalized care given to every customer. Fresh, seasonal food, freshly refined and prepared. Truly an unique and delightful experience. Our group had the lamb, scallops, sable fish, and prime rib. Everyone had compliments on their meal. The solo violinist added to the charming quality of the restaurant and ambience. We're highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Ecclectic surroundings, unique chalkboard menu, pleasant table conversation area.

The whole experience was GREAT! The food, the ambiance and the owners were fantastic.

Salad greens boring and overpowered by vinegar. Pickled onions almost saved it. Entree was long cod with curry sauce and it was perfection! Service was sufficient but slow.

This is a very special place, with quirky eclectic decor, great service and beautiful gardens that seem out of a fairytale. And the food is superb! We had dungeness crab and seabass, and some delicious elderflower gin&tonics. Just bare in mind it is on the pricey side.

Mother's Day brunch was a wonderful experience. Special treats available on the buffet line included crepes, bacon, sausage, crab & asparagus egg cups, homemade macaroni & cheese, home fried potatoes, fresh fruit, and assorted desserts. Finished our visit with a walk through the gardens. Very quaint and cozy grounds.

We got there a little early so we walked thru the garden. I ordered the crab tower with fixings. It was outstanding. Best crab I have ever tasted. Was a little spend but well worth the money. We will be going again.

I stumbled upon this family owned gem while searching for brunch during a trip out to to the peninsula last fall. Food, drinks, and service was phenomenal! I fell in love with the decor and couldn't stop taking pictures. The entire place is completely enchanting. I wish I lived closer so I could go back more often!

I have been to Molly Ward Gardens numerous times. It is the best restaurant in the area and the food and service are comparable to the best restaurants in Seattle. And it's a very special space-indoors or in the gardens. And also great for small and large parties. Sam, Lynn and Luke Ward will definitely take care of you.

Omg this place is wonderful. No joke. Small, super eclectic decoration, and Sam and his son are awesome. The food is mouthwatering and cooked perfectly using local ingredients.They have a small ever changing menu with a couple of dishes to choose from. The filet mignon was cooked beautifully. I hate brussel sprouts, but these were so dang good I ate them!!! The pecan pie I had for dessert was the best I've ever had and the hand made "Happy Anniversary" decoration in the pie was a thoughtful touch! Reservations definitely reccomended.
