My wife & I were enjoying a long over due day trip & decided to stop here for ice cream. Everything about the place instantly brought a smile to our faces. The places was clean, bright, welcoming & most importantly, a mouther watering selection. Bode was attentive, helpful and an overall pleasure to interact with. Even went out of his way when he saw we were fumbling to take a roadside photo. Don't hesitate to stop in. Hopefully you'll get Bode too! ~Blue Explorer Couple

The ice cream was EXCELLENT! Edible cookie dough was great too! A lot of flavors to choose from. Alex, the owner served us and she was the sweetest. It was very clean as well. Definitely coming back even though it’s a little bit of a drive for us 🤗

$15 for a Cone and a cup of Ice cream.........lesson learned it was good, not life changing.......she did offer payment plan, had i known, i would have utilized it.....BTW your music is not good and it loud rebuttal to owner: a special cone adds $5?

Went on a busy Sunday evening. The line moved really quickly despite there being only one employee ( his name was Bode) working. The ice cream was great!

We had a large group come to get ice cream and the service and ice cream were both wonderful! Shout out to Bode for being super helpful and friendly. I look forward to coming back again.

A group of about 20 of us was there last Sunday and the guy that served us was amazing. He was very patient with us and was very polite and attentive.

Ok you just completely lied. I was never told on the phone about flavors or anything. The phone call was short . All I was told on the phone was to texted my information. Never did I have a conversation with anyone about the cake. Your answer is not true

We LOVE Sparta Shack!! Swung in to grab a quick dessert for the ride home and Bode was great! Very friendly, quick, and professional! Can't wait to stop again!!

I called a week before granddaughters birthday to order a cake ni was told by the owner to text her the details. I texted her name for correct spelling, date july 13th, my name and time to pick up. Never got a confirmation. I texted again to confirm time for puck up. Website says they open at 10 on Saturday, got there at 10:10 CLOSED. Call the number we were told it opens at 11. So 11 we go back no cake. We were told we had to confirm name on cake. Showed them my original text msg. The young man who was there gave us a choice of cake to take from. The pre-made ones. It was for an 8 year old party. We had to just grab and so So disappointing for my grand daughter. I will never order again. Just a side note I have ordered before thru texting no problem. Someone dropped the ball.

Brody was the most friendlest, professional ice cream scooper I ever met in his service to us when we stopped by yesterday. He was all by himself an my husband and I were very impressed how he handled the crowd. Super sweet kid. You definitely have a keeper there!

This place is amazing! I got an delicious hotdog with Crumched up Doritos on top and an ice cream,(don’t judge! I was starving! ;) ) My husband had to reduce fat butter pecan ice cream, which was delicious! Bode was a honey! Thanks for being so kind!

Ice cream is good. Our server Amanda was excellent answered our questions and made us some great ice cream.

I am happy that the owner of this ice cream shop was finally able to open, post-covid, etc. My strawberry shake was very good, but a little on the expensive side. Good selection of ice cream flavors.

There are plenty on tables most with umbrellas to enjoy your ice cream. Everything was neat and tidy. All the tables were clean. Amanda who works there was fantastic at helping us decide between all the delicious options! We'll be back!

I did not like my flavor of ice cream (dolce de leche) nor the waffle cone it tasted weird. But everyone else loved theirs, so I guess it's just me. Oh, their ice cream it's homemade, so they claimed.

They lied to us, we drove for like an hour because their menu says they were "THE VEGAN SPOT" so when we arrived besides the staff were not welcoming, they only had 2 non dairy sorbet, nothing else was vegan, so why having such a false advertisement. We drove there for ice creams, we can get sorbets anywhere, so we would like to ask Sparta's Shack to correct their Google advertisement and murals at the store.

Bodie was the best ice cream slinger New Jersey has to offer. We loved the recommendations and our final scoops. If you’re looking for the most magical ice cream experience, look no further.

The server was rude and inconsiderate. She was more worried about her high school friend that helping the next customer. Truly disappointed by the quality of food and service received. Seemed like the server had more ice cream on their sweater than our cups.

Terrible experience. The server who took our order ( before having to finish her conversation with a friend) charged us for the order and tried to double charge us after forgetting to make one item. To make matters worse, we had to interrupt the employee a second time from her conversation with said friend, in order for her to remember that she had told us it was going to be a 5 minute wait for the last order she ended up forgetting about. All around, bad experience.

This is a MUST stop if you’re in the area. The ice cream is exceptional and has something for everyone. The customer service is also excellent, Bode is always knowledgeable about the flavors and has impeccable recommendations. This is the ice cream shop for memories.

This was our second visit to Sparta Shack. Both times Bode has made great suggestions on our ice cream choices. He enhanced the experience with his fun disposition and great smile 😊 . Thank you, Bode for the awesome friendly service…we’ll be back 👍🏻!

Stopped in today for a free Mother's Day cone and ended up with three delicious ice cream treats, my vanilla cone, a shake and a two scoop waffle cone. Bode, our ice cream pro, helped us pick the perfect flavors and even let us try ones that weren't on the menu. Can you say thin mint?! Yes please! Bode made the day extra special by snapping our photo outside the shack and gifting my son a frisbee. Long story, but definitely stop by as you won't be disappointed. We will be back!

Expensive and does not give good or very much ice cream you will be disappointed. This is such a shame for a local business. ☹️

This place had been showing up in my social media feeds for a few weeks and I was very excited to give it a try. Pricing is confusing as there are pictures of items up but no prices for them in the menu. A waffle with two scoops was just under $12 and the taste was average. Music playing was very loud and the ordering window is small and set at waist height (I am only 5’6”), so o had difficulty communicating with the server.

I came last night thinking it was going to be a quick stop since it was cold but the place was packed. They only had one kid working, he’s always there. He did an incredible job, kept apologizing to everyone for the wait, didn’t get flustered with everyone looking at him and he hustled. He’s an asset to the place!

I went to the Sparta Shack on April 20th and the boy behind the counter was extremely helpful! It was super busy and he was the only person working, but he was still making it work. He was super friendly and kind with me and my siblings. I believe his name was Bode so five stars for him. The ice cream was also great!

Awesome place. My family and I've been going here since the summer they opened and we love it. The ice cream is amazing and the service is fantastic. We went there today and got the limited Edition Thin Mint ice cream and it was phenomenal. We were served by Bode who was very friendly and helpful. My 4 year old was being a little obnoxious and all over the place and asking questions and Bode never seemed irritated or anything by it. He kept being friendly to my son and humoring him and that was really awesome of him. It goes without saying but we'll definitely be back.

They definitely don’t skip out on portion size here, so so so good rich and creamy ice cream … bode was amazing at taking our order very he was patient as we had an almost two year old with us, he was friendly customer service was 100% :)

Saw an advertisement on Facebook today showing the S’mores shake and couldn’t stop thinking about it. So off we went and to say we were pleasantly pleased is an understatement!!! Received awesome service from Bode who was very kind and made our dream dinner come to life!!! The shake was a picture of excellence and delicious as well as the waffle sundae-with the waffle being made fresh. We just found ourselves a new ice cream place!!! Keep up the good work Bode-you’re going places!!!

Bode provides next level customer service. There are a lot of ice cream shops in the area, but because of Bode and the great assortment of flavors and menu options, Sparta Shack will always be our first choice.

We always love to come here! We travel 45 mins just to get ice cream from Sparta's Shack! I've tried most of the flavors on the menu and I'm in love! The owner is such an amazing person and makes this such a great experience ❤️ and we got a frisbee!

Great experience at Sparta’s Shack. We went on a whim to grab some ice cream and were met with the nicest employee Bode who helped our little girls each find the perfect flavor of ice cream. It’s so refreshing to come across someone who seems to truly enjoy their job. We will definitely be back for another treat or two.

Really tasty and creative flavors.

This place caught my eye while passing by and I’m so glad I got to try it. Everything is homemade and it tastes amazingly rich. The waffle cones were really good and the tip of the cone has chocolate. They even give you a cone holder so ice cream doesn’t drip on you - very convenient. I seen they have so many things like a jerry chantango which looks like a mangonada. They had a place to sit to eat your ice cream outside and it was nicely decorated. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m around the area!!

Bodie was super amazing. He helped my vegan friend and very confident in his knowledge. And then recommended I mix apple pie with vanilla which helped the ultra sweetness. Just the treat we needed on Sunday after running a Spartan race!

We love this ice cream shop! We come here every time we go to camp at Stokes. Today Bodie got us our ice cream and he was extremely friendly, kind and gave us the best customer service we have experienced in a long time! Thanks for the delicious ice cream and the great experience! 🍦❤️

Came out for ice cream and they were out of the first flavor we asked for. Then out of the second one. Then was told they had no sprinkles. Asked for a cone. Got a cup. Disappointed.

The Funky monkey ice cream is to die for. Wish they would sell larger containers of their ice creams to bring home. I feel that they Rival places such as 'Cliffs' In ledgewood for the best ice cream around.

This place is my new fav in sparta! Kate was so helpful and patient with me while i decided what I wanted from the vast options that this up and coming ice cream shop has to offer!! Highly recommend, and the staff is beyond amazing!

Bode G. is the best, super friendly and always with a smile! We stopped in for the first time this past Saturday, August 5. After visiting the nearby Forestburg Boy Scout camp, we were sweating from the inside out! This homemade ice cream with chocolate dipped waffle cones was just the answer. Bode was so patient as we made our way though all of the flavors. We ended up with a triple cone, double cone, and a sundae. The flavors were amazing, and if we are in that part of the county again, we will definitely stop in! Thank you Bode!

Great flavors, and really cheap as far as homemade ice cream goes. Bode was very helpful and hooked it up with an amazing Nutella milkshake. Make sure you ask him to do it the Bode way: with vanilla ice cream and Nutella. Will definitely be back!

We are from Sparta Cricket club, thanks to Alexis for supporting Sparta cricket club and she is very kind person. We were very pleasantly welcomed by “Bode”. He was so nice, polite and patient by providing us with various flavors for tasting and thus providing excellent customer service. We felt so grateful 😇. The quality and all flavors of ice cream were amazing. Love this place and would never ever go to any other place than Sparta Shack.

Coming to this place was like literally walking into the stranger things ice cream shop! And the guy at the counter was so nice and patient even when we took forever deciding and gave us as many samples as we needed! This dude was like literally Steve from Stranger Things! 🤣 His name was Bode! Pronounced Bodey the owner should give him a raise!

I absolutely love coming here. That staff is so friendly and the ice cream is delicious. I haven't had a really good milkshake since the chatterbox closed. Bode made me one today with hard chocolate ice fream,*chefs kiss*🤌🏼 it was so good. Bode was helpful and very patient with us as we tried to figure out what we wanted this time. Anyway,10/10 I'll keep coming here.
