Muffaletta was soaked in some kind of oil. Food was overpriced and not very good.

Got a shrimp po boy. It would have been ok if I was in North Dakota. But in southeast Louisiana, the absolute failure on every level was unbelievable. Let’s start with the bread… stale and dense. Mayonnaise was sparse as in they waved the mayo in the general direction of the bread. Two pickles on the 12” PoBoy, 1 on each side. Shrimp? The batter is completely unseasoned, obviously fresh shrimp mixed in with old shrimp (or they threw in some erasers as a cost saving measure). I paid $17 and barely slogged through half. The place was packed too! Everyone in there was old, so maybe they’ve lost all sense of taste or expectation. I’d rather gnaw on roadkill than go back to this place.

Had the hanburger steak. Was delicious. Also had the mac and cheese. So worth it. So much I took half home for another meal.

Went there for lunch for the first time ordered veal cutlet poyboy, eggplant fries, fries and special. I noticed as I was waiting on my food the guys bringing out the food were bringing plates out and their fingers were touching something on customers plates. When mine was brought out my sandwich was made wrong and the guy who brought my food out well my sandwich was touching his shirt! The girl came and asked if I ordered the veal I said yes I had just asked for it to be dressed and I told her my sandwich was touching his shirt she said ok hold on. Same sandwich came out but dressed. Needless to say I only ate the half that didn't touch his clothes. Fries were a waste due to being burnt. First time there probably last time. Was hoping with the reviews and location it would of been better but was let down.

They make one of the best Ferdie Po-boys ever! Never had anything bad from here. Very good place to eat (if you find a table) the food is so good they're always busy. I always call ahead and order pick up from them to avoid the crowd. One bad thing I can say about Pontchartrain is they're closed on the weekends.

I love this place but I’m not sure what happened. Poboy bread was different. French fries were different. Nothing was very well seasoned. I hope this was a fluke and not an attempt to save money on inferior quality ingredients.

Had the pleasure of stopping by this staple of a gem for the first time while parents were in town visiting. We ordered onion rings, crab cake pasta, roast beef Po-Boy, soft shell crab special which comes with fried shrimp and a bowl of gumbo, and the hot burger which is a hot sausage patty and hamburger patty put together. All of our food was delicious. Especially the crab cakes. You can tell it's fresh crabmeat and not artificial. You have to place your order at counter and then they will bring to your table. Peak hours are definitely 12-1pm. We had to wait about 15 mins to get a table after someone got up. The gumbo did give me bubble guts afterwards so I won't get that again.

I had the shrimp and fish platter. Nothing was seasoned.

Pathetic! I ordered the rice and roast beef debris gravy and at least half the container of rice had no gravy and there was not one shred of roast beef! This place used to be one of my favorites but since mom and dad sold to the kids quality is gone and customer satisfaction was also retired!

This Gem 💎 ✨️ here!! Was in Mandeville for the day and wanted to eat somewhere local and a friend recommend this place. It was a hit for me and my 10yr old daughter. The staff was friendly,service was super quick and the food was a 10! Left 2happy full ladies with left overs for later! You should definitely check it out if you're in the area. Large menu and large clean facility also. We will be back again!

Two words... shrimp poboy... Trust me... so many shrimp, local shrimp, not from China, so so so good, fried perfect too...

The food is good, but very hit and miss! To me, the only things consistent are the fried shrimp, seafood platter and onion rings. For some reason, my family from out of town has to eat here every time they come in. I could find better!

This place was packed on a Monday, and I can see why! I was hungry so I got the full shrimp po-boy not realizing it was going to be absolutely gigantic! So good

Never disappoints! Any thing you get here is absolutely delicious! Their seafood is fresh and taste like it. They’re not open on the weekends. So make sure you go during the weekdays! It gets crowded fast. But there is enough seating inside and out.

All items are good. Large portion. Wish they'd bring back the half fried chicken. They were the best!☹️

Everything was fantastic! My shrimp, crab cake, and bisque were delicious. My husband loved his shrimp platter with potato salad. My daughter loved her Mac and cheese. The portions are huge! The real stars of the show were the boudin egg rolls and the bananas fosters cake, though!

We decided to check it out for lunch, and it was one of the best lunches I have had in a very long time. The food was excellent, the service was quick, and the price was fair. I have to commend the management, because the staff there hustled, and had good attitudes. If I'm back in the Covington area around lunch time, I'd definitely go back.

Bland roast beef po-boy. Nice size chunks of sliced beef (no debris here) in a brown gravy. Portion size was great. The only problem was that the beef was bland and not seasoned in any way. We had to add hot sauce and salt just to get any flavor out of the sandwich. We did not try anything else on the menu. It is not worth the effort to go back to the place.

It is one of the best places for a po-boy on the North Shore. All of the sandwiches have been fresh and delicious. Plate lunches are huge .Great Mac and cheese.

Good home cooking. Had the spaghetti and meatballs, wife had fried veal cutlets. Both were good. Both were flavorful and not bland. Portions leave enough for full second meal. For those on south shore, this place is very similar to Come Back Inn, a real go-to place. The only thing bad about this place is it's a family place and is closed on the weekend.

Hands down the best seafood restaurant on the Northshore! The portions are huge, so go hungry. For years, they continue to be consistently amazing with their food they serve. We cook a lot and are hard to please dining out. Never disappointed here. Planning to go for dinner tomorrow!

This is supposed to be a po-boy restaurant. I had a shrimp poboy while my mother had a fish po-boy. They got NO seasoning on their food. I have more regarding the integrity of some of the staff, from what I hear there's been a lot of racism going on at this restaurant.

Overstuffed poboys and dinners that fill the plates to the edges! Everything is delicious! The onion rings are to die for and the Mac & Cheese is a must-have. There are so many different kinds of desserts, including homemade ice cream. The service is pretty quick even when there is a crowd. Everyone is so friendly and very accommodating. I would. say it is the best informal restaurant on the Northshore!

The food is excellent and the portions are very generous. There is a reason it is usually very busy.

The onion rings were great. The fried shrimp basket, not so much. One order had shrimps with shells still on. All the shrimp had large veins and a texture that seemed off. The coleslaw and Mac and cheese were also good. Maybe a one off bad day, but we probably would not eat here again.

We love the place. Large portions and always hot. My only disappointment was my first try of the red beans tonight. These are not made in house. I'd be shocked if they weren't Blue Runner out of a tub. Cold sausage and dry cornbread. Maybe I caught them on a bad night. Not a huge deal, but I won't get them again. I'll stick with seafood and the lasagna. 👍

You order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. We each ordered our own food, but we could have easily shared one dish. The food was hot and fresh. It looked like a lot of locals eating there. We would highly recommend this place. Parking is limited. We have a full size truck and we parked across the road in the grocery store lot.

Really good PoBoy restaurant. The fried shrimp is outstanding you get a overstuffed shrimp PoBoy with enough extra shrimp to really enjoy. The Ferdi on the other hand is just ok, there are much better options for this then here. We really enjoyed the place, it is clean and well kept. The staff working there do a really good job of clean tables as people leave and keeping the bar stocked.

One of the places that I frequent often. The food is always delicious, the servers are friendly, efficient and professional. They listen to the patrons and treat them as if they were the only customers in the building. The restaurant is clean and bright. Lighting is more than ample and the tables are spacious. The only problem would be parking if I had a problem walking. But there is ample parking in the parking lot across the street at Rouse's Supermarket. Try it! I know you will love it.

I got a catfish po-boy and it was absolutely delicious. I have never gotten a bad po-boy from this place ever. Their food is always hot, fresh and delicious. The gravy cheese fries were really good too.

Old stale bread for the plate of red beans and rice we ordered and only a splash of rice. Come on now. This place is NOT what it use to be. Must have had a change of ownership because it is NOT the same. Almost $5.00 for (1) piece of pecan pie. $4.50 to be exact. I can buy a whole bag of pecans for $15.00 and bake 4 pies. lol Way over priced in my opinion...

This restaurant has marked a very special experience through my drive of Louisiana. The atmosphere envelops you in an almost after-school vibe. The menu has variety while sticking to it's po-boy name. The dock of star on the meal has nothing to do with taste or quality, just the sheer vastness of food we were provided with. A greater man than me could've finished it, but I'm not that greater man. This restaurant is not for anyone looking for a light meal, but if you need delicious food to waft you softly to a food coma, this is one I highly recommend.
