We just got back from a trip to Barcelona which is northern Spain and has a huge French influence with a French bakery on every corner. We hit most of them trying to get that perfect chocolate almond Croissant but none could top the one we get in Mandeville at Croissant. We fell in love with the French pastries on a trip to France a while back, but now we have a legitimate one here.

I walked in there last week, not busy at all, and I stood there for 10 minutes without anybody even acknowledging me. People were walking by behind the counter never said one word to me. very unprofessional.

Hands-down, the best croissant I have ever had. Their sandwiches, soup, and pastries are delicious.

Great food! I question the cleanliness, no one was wearing gloves to prepare any food. Tables were dirty. Line and menu were a little confusing. Very quiet and peaceful though.

I was there on a Saturday afternoon, they close very early and at the end of the afternoon there are few products, they do not open Sunday, Monday or Tuesday

The food is fresh and the coffee is great. This location is a little hard to get to but the customer traffic comes in waves, so it's best to come early.

Super friendly short handed and killing it with a limited menu and hours cannot wait to go back and see the full affair.

I’ve actually eaten croissants in Paris and it’s unfair to compare but this place comes very very close. I was really impressed by all of their pastries. I’ll be coming back frequently from now on. I highly recommend!

The items are so delicious. I want to say the hours are unreliable. I just showed up after waiting all week for the opening today and at 3:45 pm the gate is chained up. It makes it difficult to want to make the drive on the few days they are open bc I can’t even expect them to be open when they are supposed to. No matter how delicious it’s impossible to enjoy when they’re not open during the 30ish hours a week they’re open ://

This is my go-to bakery. I've been going fairly regularly and it never fails to impress. Everyone is so friendly and the owner/baker engages in conversation with people and that is so refreshing. I've given the pastries as gifts. I recently bought 6 king cakes. I'm getting rave reviews from where I took them to New Orleans. It is so refreshing to have such a wonderful place nearly. Baked daily, sometimes it's a little wait to get something I want as it's still in the oven, but worth the wait. Thank you for opening in Mandeville!

Absolutely delicious and so authentic! The breads are outstanding and the lunch on-point! Prices are good too, will visit again and again!

If you like croissant, there is no place like this around Mandeville. Almond croissant and regular croissant here are delicious.

Just a good patisserie head to toe. The staff has to love what they to do it so we'll, stopped in and got a few things for our Christmas celebration and it was fantastic. Croissants of every kind, cookies, you just cannot go wrong here.

Freshly baked every morning and authentic. No preservatives or corporate inspired fillers. The sourdough bread is perfect. Excellent lunch sandwiches prepared using same principles. Ham and cheese with bechamel on brioche was awesome. Pastries too good to be true as well.

Very nice bakery and crepes, but service is very slow. Don't go if you're in a rush, but if you have time to sit and wait, it's good.

It is incredibly exciting to know that someone capable of this caliber of artistry lives in my community. The sweet and savory offerings here are not only beautiful, but absolutely sensational in taste, texture, and overall experience. This is the place that Mandeville desperately needed; charming, laid back, and delightful with a mix of traditional French breakfast and lunch items made with love. The crusty, chewy baguettes, perfectly buttery croissants, and sweet puffy popovers were all delectable. This family owned place is the kind of spot you love to see prosper, and judging on the huge crowd this morning, they surely will.

Stopped in for some breakfast and it was so hard to decide what to get! We ended up getting a bunch of different things and splitting among the 4 of us. Everything was my favorite until the next item. The pistachio and almond croissants were probably the stand out. We also picked up a sourdough loaf to go and have been enjoying the rest of the week.

They were out of baguettes, therefore, I ordered a crepe I wish they would have told me it was made out of buckwheat. There was hardly any ham or cheese on it. All their cold drink products were from a vending machine. They should offer iced tea. Perhaps it's a great coffee shop.

I can’t say enough about this place! Excellent service, the type of pastries we’ve been missing around here. Literally EVERYTHING is good! I have tried several things, but the caramel praline croissant has to be my favorite.

We were hoping for better after all the great things we heard. We went for lunch and had sandwiches. The baguettes on both of our sandwiches were very tough and chewy. We will try again for breakfast. I suspect that we will be far more satisfied than we were with our lunch. The concept is great. We hope they succeed.

Authentic, outrageously good. May be habit forming. If they had 6th star I'd give it.

Everything we had was amazing. Quiche was delicious as well as the salad. Cinnamon roll was perfect with a soft crunch on the outside, but soft and delicious on the inside with the perfect amount of sweetness. Haven't had anything there that has disappointed. I hope this place stays in town for a long time. Délicieuse!

I recently visited Croissant and indulged in their almond croissant and cinnamon roll. I must say, the taste was absolutely delightful! The pastries were freshly baked to perfection, with a heavenly aroma that greeted me as soon as I walked in. The almond croissant was flaky, buttery, and generously filled with almond goodness. The cinnamon roll was equally scrumptious, with just the right amount of cinnamon and sweetness. While I thoroughly enjoyed the pastries, I did find the prices to be on the higher side. Maybe it’s just me. However, the quality and taste more than made up for it. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was friendly. Despite the price point, I'm giving a solid 5-star rating because of the exceptional taste and overall experience. If you're a pastry enthusiast this place is definitely worth a visit!

AMAZING food !!! Got the breakfast crepe and a croque madame, both were amazing! We also got a ton of baked goods, though I've only tried the croquettes. However, the croquette was so delicious that I trust the rest will be just as yummy :) The service was also great! Everyone was very kind and helpful. My dad (who i came with) has been to the french countryside as well as Paris and he said the cooking is just as good as it is there!

Everything I have had has been delicious! The owner and the ladies behind the counter were all lovely! Very helpful in helping with selections. If you haven't tried this place, you should, you will not be disappointed!!

Fantastic, a gift to the Mandeville/Covington community. I heard about it through friends, and now I'm a regular. Get there early. Mandevillians line up when something is this excellent. Pain au chocolats so warm I had to let them cool a bit even when I got them home! (with homemade chocolate filling, mind you), breads, gigantic cinnamon rolls, killer quiche, awesome sandwiches. I've pretty much worked my way through a good portion of the menu over a couple weeks. Excellent service (the owner is an intense, graceful man who watches closely and is very attentive). A real bakery that we all need to support. Outstanding! (yes, a real customer here).

Absolutely freaking phenomenal! I grabbed the last praline croissant and could not wait to get to the privacy of my car to indulge in its seductive glossy glaze of sweetness and get to the scratch made buttery texture of the classic French croissant. That piece of heaven did not disappoint!! This place is ticked away behind the appearance of a French Gate and opens up to a rather spacious parking area greeted by a nice side seating area. The baker greeted me promptly and gave me a chance to look at all the gorgeous loaves of bread and morning pantries. This place is a GEM! Only open for a Month I am in great hopes that they will be here to stay for a long while. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. I am in love with the open production area. Way to go Chef!!!

Well, it looked good when I came in that there was gonna be some delicious options. However, I could not taste anything or place an order because they’re working with a skeleton crew. They don’t greet you at all with a friendly welcome, so sadly disappointed I decided to leave and spend my money at another place that was more inviting and welcoming to the service of customers. . You can have a good rating because your food is good but if you make your customers feel on welcomed and not appreciated, your writing is not worth a thing. Hopefully they make note of this and make some changes in the restaurant.

Can't recommend this bakery strongly enough. No surprise - their croissants are PERFECT. Also, their brownies are out of this world. The selection of other pastries and food are stellar, too. Make this your new go-to spot. You won't regret it!

My wife and I discovered Croissant today after someone recommended it to us. Wonderful food, pastries, and coffee. Very knowledgeable and friendly ownership and staff. It's amazing to enjoy authentic French delicacies in Mandeville, LA.

Amazing. Delicious and authentic.

I was very happy to hear that an actual bakery was opened in the area. But after my first experience with it, I'm very disappointed. Their baked goods look SO yummy sitting in the display cases. That's the one star. I took off four stars because everything I purchased was stale. One of the items, a beautiful looking cinnamon roll, was so stale, I just threw it away. Their prices are about double of Rouse's bakery and not nearly as fresh. If you want to take a picture of your baked goods, this is the place. If you want to actually eat it, I cannot recommend this bakery.

Croissants were wonderful. The chocolate mouse was also very tasty. Will definitely go back.

So excited to stumble upon Croissant after having just been to France two months ago. Lots of authentic breads and pastries, plus they have a coffee bar, crepes, and sandwiches.

Maybe we came on a bad day, but I can't understand all these 5-star reviews. This place is the definition of over-promise-under-deliver. We'd been looking forward to this bakery opening for months, and we left bitterly disappointed and frustrated. Beautiful looking and smelling pastries to be sure. Sourdough that wasn't sour, burnt almond croissant, cappuccinos that looked like cafe-au-lait and took 15 minutes, and a crepe that came 15 minutes after that. (Seriously... a bakery that can't make a cappuccino?! Yikes) We were surrounded by guests getting frustrated at long bill times and inattentive service. I'd hurry up and grab a croissant quickly, because I don't anticipate this place will be in business for long.

The food is next level. I had the butter ham and baguette. Amazing and the pastries are fabulous. I have been there 3 times in two days. The chai pudding was good too don’t forget the strawberry topping . I would give it 6 stars !!!!!

Awesome place to grab local coffee and enjoy the delicious food. Amazing homemade bread and pastries! The ham sandwich was wonderful and the fresh squeezed orange juice was nice as well. Baguettes are just like in France. It's so nice to have another bakery on the northshore!

Absolutely loved it! They are still baking for the day, but are open at 7:00. So if you are passing by, you can go in. Wonderful family run bakery with breakfast, lunch, coffee, juices, pastries, breads, and more. Super friendly staff. We only had a snack, but it was delicious!!! 🥐 Everyone should stop by and check it out!! 7:00-5:00 Wed-Sat. 😊

Spacious and calming environment. Their coffee is smooth and delicious and they have a variety of beautiful pastries.

Atmosphere feels comfortable and spacious. Nice place without a hipster vibe or overdone aesthetic. Great coffee, crepes, pastries. Fair prices, I purchased off of what I wanted not off of price. I definitely would recommend and will be back.

When you first step in you get to see piles of perfectly baked goods, everything looks delicious! They have good coffee and I got the breakfast crepe which was also very yummy. Can’t wait to visit again

It was like stepping into a shop in Paris. I ordered a selection of items for a pool party so we could all try everything. WOW - seriously delicious!!! They are working out a few kinks, but this place is a gift - highly recommend. They have fresh juices, an array of fresh breads and slices of loaf cakes, pastries, a make to order crepe station (savory and sweet), and delicious sandwiches (fresh bread, homemade sauces and condiments, quiche etc for lunch. This is a little slice of France and it’s delightful. Give them grace as they work out their processes - it’s worth it ❤️ I’m going back Tuesday when they open back up.
