A gourmet stop to add to your route! Their wines are excellent, but what about their cream bourbon…delicious and, don’t miss out on trying their maple syrup. The owner is a Quebecois, living in Vermont for 28 years. We took the tasting (6 products) as well as the box of cheeses.

A must-visit if in Stowe or other areas. Enjoyed meeting the proprietors and enjoying the tasting as well as the beautiful landscape. The Rose was my favorite for an August day.

This winery is so wonderfully cozy! The young couple that were working were so knowledgeable about the various wines and spirits and very comfortably walked us through a delicious tasting. Amazing spot.

I had the best time at this Winery! Montana was so helpful at letting my friends and I taste all the various bourbons and wines! I loved the cute little cozy vibe too. I will definitely be coming back . HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Such a great experience!! Definitely recommend coming here especially if you’re skiing at Smuggs for the weekend and want to try a new activity outside of skiing. Lively and fun. Also the service is amazing. Will & Montana are some of the most hospitable people we’ve encountered since being in town. Highly recommmend!

Fun spot to stop and have some delicious wine, bourbon and maple syrup...very pretty and the hosts in the tasting room were very welcoming and informative.

What a great exerience!! Montana and Will were extremely personal and hospitable. They new everything about they're big sellers and the tasting turned out so much more interesting than we expected. I'm not a bourbon drinker and their Bourbon was that good that made me take a bottle home. Thank you so much for the great afternoon!

Absolutely deserving of 5 stars! While we didn't plan for a wine tasting, stumbling upon Borden Valley Winery and Spirits turned out to be a delightful surprise. The male employee who assisted us was incredibly helpful, making our impromptu visit truly enjoyable. The warm ambiance and friendly service made for a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for an unexpected and rewarding stop during your drive!

We stopped here while on a road trip. It had great reviews and so true. The staff was lovely and friendly. Enjoyed the tastings and their Maple bourbon was so good! Sat outside with a drink and their cheese board lunch. Great afternoon break.

We visited twice during our stay at Smuggler’ Notch. Great wine/Spirits and such a wonderful view from the patio. The couple behind the bar was very friendly.

This is more about the tasting but applies to the wine too. Excellent service with great conversation from Will and Montana. Delicious products on offer and can't wait to come back. I get my Cranberry wine here for Thanksgiving every year.

Playing tourist while visiting family in Vermont and did the drive to Smuggler’s Notch. Saw Boyden Valley Winery along the way and thought it’d make a special time together even better. What a brilliant idea. We did two tastings to try all on offer and settled on a couple wines. Will and Montana are awesome- true embodiment of customer service! We will be back in the future and highly recommend stopping in!

This is a must go to place! Everything is excellent - the wine/glogg/liqueurs, the owners/staff, the restored carriage barn, the mountain background to enjoy while relaxing with a drink on the patio, and the best cheese board I have ever had at a winery. We came to Vermont for a nice weekend and visited here twice. Of course we took some home with us, too! 😁🍷

Stopped by because of the great reviews and we were so pleased we did! The staff was lovely and friendly. All the wines and liqueurs we tried at a tasing were delicious it was so hard to choose our favourites. Sitting outside with some drinks and their cheese board lunch was a wonderful way to break up our road trip.

Lovely winery and super friendly staff. The Cow Tipper wine was my favorite. Very pretty spot to have a delicious glass of wine and enjoy the afternoon.

I have photographed a number of times at this venue and the weddings at this venue are amazing. Laurie and her staff were super accommodating, timely and organized. The views are picturesque and the night time scene is something out of Pinterest. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great Vermont fall wedding, whether or not you are a wine drinker.

Quelle belle surprise que ce vignoble dans un endroit magnifique! Boyden Valley Winery, un ARRÊT obligé pour passer un excellent moment. Il vous faut rencontrer la propriétaire québécoise. Accueillante et généreuse, elle nous vante ses produits que nous avons effectivement tous aimés. Une dégustation de 5 élixirs au goût unique pour 10$ avec un verre de vin en plus. Il est possible d'y manger une planche de produits locaux délicieux pour 20$. Plusieurs endroits à notre disposition dont un loft chaleureux au 2e étage pour étirer le temps et voir la nature automnale de la fenêtre tout en dégustant notre vin et notre planche. Déjà hâte de revenir. Un coup de coeur pour nous 4 de la Montérégie!

OMG… Superbe belle découverte 👌👍👌 Tout Tout Tout est délicieux 😋 Nous avons dégusté chacun des produits offerts et nous avons aimés ( Nous étions deux couples ) … Nous avons été dans plusieurs vignobles et celui-ci est dans les trop 👍 Également la planche de fromages disponibles pour le goûter est vraiment très bonne ( plusieurs choix de fromages sur cette plaque ) Nous allons revenir et les encourager à nouveau ( c’est certain ) En plus , il est possible d’avoir les explications en français ( la propriétaire est géniale et super sympathique ) Merci pour cette belle expérience et découvertes de vos produits 👌👌✋🏻

We LOVE Boyden Valley Winery! We come a long way to visit Boyden and enjoy their products. We are so sad to hear that they're closing the retail barn and stopping production on so many wines. 😭 I had a set of their wine glasses, and LOVED them. I was hoping to replace them after they recently were broken. So sad that I can't go for a visit to get a new set. We are genuinely sad, and will miss our trips to enjoy the atmosphere and service as well as delicious products. Blessings and slàinte to the Boyden family.

Drove by this lovely place and decided to pop in... The "mamma bear" working there was just about the sweetest.. we didn't know walking in that they were actually closed, but she made us feel at home and offered us a tasting. We loved every we tried, the apple and maple cream liqueurs were especially delicious as was the apple brandy! We ending up walking away with a case of wine and spirits and I am embarrassed to say we drank most of them already!! Do yourself a favor and stop here, your taste buds and mood will be uplifted!

Excellent vineyard with delicious dessert wines. It is always a place we take friends and family. The tasting is wonderful but I was personally disappointed the tasting fee wasn't waved after spending several hundred dollars purchasing 8 bottles of your product.

This is my favorite stop when we visit Vermont every year. The setting is gorgeous. The staff have great personalities; this year we had the pleasure of doing a tasting with Linda. I always take a case back home to RI and tell anyone I know traveling to VT that Boyden is a must stop. I wish you had distribution in RI so badly! Cheers!

Loved everything we tried here. There was a lot of variety (in wine varieties and other things such as cider), and Jamie was a personable and knowledgeable host. Also greatly enjoyed the well done cheese board and chocolate boards with a glass of wine on their patio.

My girlfriend and I visited Smuggler's Notch area this past weekend and stopped by at Boyden Valley Winery. We instantly liked the atmosphere and enjoyed the knowledgeable wine tasting with Tina. After that we sat on the patio and enjoyed each one of our favourite wines from this winery. We loved this place very much. Definitely worth a visit.

My at the time boyfriend and I visited Boyden Valley in June of 2018. We live in Florida but I was raised in Vermont so we took a trip so he could see where I was raised. Long story short he became my fiancé on that trip, and I will always associate this vineyard with this wonderful memory. Their wine is some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m a serious wine drinker! Their Big Barn Red is my absolute favorite. So this week, a year after our visit, my now husband surprised me and ordered 4 bottles, shipped all the way to Florida! I know for a fact every time we go to visit Vermont this will be a must on our itinerary! Quality wine from the most beautiful state.

Just an excellent experience with a great variety of unique wines. The Cranberry wine is quite unusual. The staff is very friendly and the tour of the compact but modern facilities was very informative, especially for us engineer types.

This is a farm that grows grapes and corn. There is a tasting room on the main floor. You may take drinks to the upstairs or outside patio. You may walk around the property and get up close to the grapes. The tasting is $10 and includes 7 small samples. They have iced wine, maple liquor, hard cider and wine to choose from. They have cheese plates and chocolate plates. We had the chocolate plate for $10 that includes local made chocolates. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful summer weather. The staff was friendly. They have many local items for sale: cheese, maple syrup, wines, etc. this is a fun stop and about 30 minutes from Burlington.

The Boyden's have done a fantastic job here. They had a vision and stuck with it. They are producing varied wines and spirits here now and doing an amazing job. I really love the ice wines and ciders, as well as the maple creme liquor and their glogg (spiced red wine served warm). It's also a very welcoming and fun experience to visit the winery. Definitely stop in!

Picturesque scenery, great atmosphere, amazing staff, and award winning wine. What more can you ask for!?

While exploring the northern part of my home state, my wife and I found Boyden Valley and we were excited to stop in for a tasting. The grounds are beautiful and inside the tasting room you are able to have a flight of 10 pours from their extensive list of wines, ciders, and distilled products and keep the glasses as a souvenir. We were both very impressed with the knowledge that our guide Amy had with all of the products, and her easy going and welcoming attitude while we spend some time here (she even takes a great 📸). After the tasting they do offer cheese and chocolate boards as well as a maple milkshake. I purchased some of the Vt ice maple creme liquor to try out at home! This was a brand that we have tried before, as they had their iced ciders in Bennington's CiderPolza in the past. We're so fortunate to have been able to stop by there Winery and get to know some more products from their helpful staff.

My husband and I swung into Boyden Valley Winery on a whim while cruising through Vermont. We did the wine tasting- 9 pours for $11. My boo says the ‘wine stop tops’ were annoying and felt the pours were itty bitty. That being said, the last warm wine pour was heavy and delish. We loved all the flavors, especially the cranberry, maple syrup and ofcourse the maple cream. We enjoyed the $20 cheese plate after our tasting, the cheese plate takes a long time to prepare, and one cheese smells a little like cow manure, but it’s worth it!

Their Rose is quite good! really nice environment and great winery! love the outdoor seating as well. overall a really good experience here! also love their maple cream liquor!

Lovely tasteing and platter of cheeses

Did the tasting at the bar and everyone in the party really enjoyed it. My wife is a big fan of the Maple Creme liquor. The glogg was another favorite. The bartender was a bit pushy in buying a cheese platter, but overall it was well worth the time.

Great winery, two tasting stations with seating upstairs for large groups. Wine and cheese or chocolate platters and warm bread. Well versed staff.

I have attended 2 family wedding receptions at this location in the past year - Oct of 17 and June of 18. Both events were a smashing success! The people did a wonderful job with all the food and alcohol (though I think the spirits were a little pricey). A nice venue for large group events.

We had one of the best wine tasting experiences. An excellent place if you have a people friendly dog. We brought our little puppy and they even took care of her! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and an overall fantastic time there! The cheese plate is a must!!

Absolutely love the wine and even more so the staff at the winery. If you're a wine fan I highly recommend making it a point to stop in for a tasting and heading home with a bottle or two.

My wife and I took a trip to Boyden while we were on vacation. The staff was so incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We tried 7 or so different wines and then split a cheese plate on the patio outback (which has a beautiful view!). We loved this place!

A nice winery with friendly staff. We did the wine tasting and the we enjoyed a cheese plater with a nice bottle of rosé on their outdoor terrasse. They make you feel welcome and part of the family a must do in the area

Accueil chaleureuse services excellent

We visited Boyden in July 2016. A very friendly staff helped us taste their wines, ciders, etc. There was a wide variety and we had a great time. We chose our favorites & they delivered to us in Texas a couple of weeks later. For us the 2 standout products are : Vermont Ice Hard Cider (every bit as good as the best Normandy cider) and Vermont Ice Red (I never tasted anything quite like this). An all round excellent place - we'll be sure to drop in again next time we are in the area.
