I went to this restaurant a week ago and I would like to share the terrible service they have. This way people don't throw their $$ away and not to mention that when we go out to eat we expect good service and good quality food. Unfortunately the establishment does not have any or other quality in the establishment. Terrible at talking about everything!!! I should have looked at the comments that way I would have saved time and money!!! How ugly I Went in this restaurant a week ago and I want to leave my review as bad attention they have. The food as not good compared to the price. It's a frustrating experience in this place. Was my last time!!! Spent money with not a good food and not a good people to serve!!! I should check the reviews first. Then I save my time and my money!!! This is shame!!

Should have read reviews before placing the order. For my birthday week i decided to do a staycation and just enjoy a nice weekend and order in food! This restaurant did not add the utensils that i requested even after i checked the option on Uber Eats and called to ask for hot sauce to be added. The food was inedible- not as pictured on the app and seems like leftovers from last nghts service! Please do not be fooled - spend your money elsewhere! BBB should check this establishment!

This restaurant is the one but one orders delivery and they don't even send it complete one pays for two dishes and one comes with parents the other doesn't one comes with some meat the other is not a complete robbery they charge more for the beans I think

This place never has the food ready for Uber eats drivers to pick up. I’ve been here on multiple different days as a delivery driver where there were longer waits. They start cooking the food as soon as the driver shows up cause last time I had to wait 20 minutes just for a 2 x BBQ Whole Chicken-Frango Inteiro Assado and I came driving to this place IN THE HEAVY RAIN. Drivers, if you value your time then I recommend you to not go here to deliver.

Ordered BOGO on Uber eats . The portion size of actual meat is terrible. Looks like they took 1 meal & split it in half while filling the platter with rice. I recommend ferry st bbq never had this problem

I went yesterday with my wife, who is Brazilian, and we were excited to eat Brazilian food. The waitress was awful almost non-existent. The food took forever to be cooked. I asked for chicken with white sauce, it came with red sauce. The sausage was way overcooked and practically burnt. My wife had ordered a side of beans which never came. We were never checked on or offered water. The waitress left all our dishes on the table then dropped the bill in front of us without saying anything. They automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill which we asked to be removed. We will never eat here again. I am not a very demanding or petty person but this was extremely disappointing.

I order from Uber eats to pick up. And missing half of my order. I order the chicken parmigiana and don’t taste nothing. My second time try this restaurant. Need improvement how to cook and how to but some Spices. Very disappointed and I don’t recommend

Uber eats BOGO is a no go for me. This is the 2 for 1 deal. Even for 1 I'd be disappointed. Mostly rice, small portion of chicken pieces, barely any beans in a separate container all liquid. Win some lose some..

New management is really awesome. I've been coming here for over 20 years and recent management was horrible. They have definitely stepped up their game. The service is great and top-notch. I wish I had checked the reviews before ordering from this place, because it's clear that I'm not the only one who had a bad experience here. The food is not good, the meat is not grilled on a charcoal grill as a proper brazilian barbecue should be. Food took too long to be ready and the receptionists are rude and tried to lie to me when I asked about the delay.

We went with 3 friends, each with their daughter, we were very well looked after, the food was excellent and the attendant was always very attentive to the children! I ordered a pasta dish, a parmigiana dish with fries and a Can of soda, all with tip and tax, cost $25

Worst food ever delivered! Can't even eat it. Overcooked, dry, not one bit of sauce on ribs, so hard I can't even bite thru. Several french fries thrown in, mostly ends of fries. White rice tastes steamed, with not one bit of spice or flavor. Brazilian spices...really...where???? Don't waste money!

I ordered the pork ribs and chicken bbq for one from Ubereats. The ribs were pork chunks and it was so dry and hard that I could not chew it. The chicken was drums. This place used to be to my go to Brazilian cuisine. Not anymore. They really skimp on the portions, quality of the food is terrible now and it’s just dry and overcooked. Better places in Newark for Brazilian. Don’t order from here. Btw this is not the first time the food has been terrible. It’s been consistently terrible for a while now.

Party of 12 , food was terrible, service mediocre and then the cc machine went down.

I order on phone and they told me 45min and I went to only be waited more then 1 more hour. I order 2 chicken combo with no ribs and she definitely didn't understand no English what so ever. I gotten burnt ribs with plastic rubber red chicken. This all cost 65+ dollars by the way. Really upsetting and just ened up throwing it all out. Over cooked ribs with close to raw chicken and be waited for 2 hours is definitely not a place worth waiting for.

Nasty , Raw , waited more than an 1 hour for pick up . Compare this chicken to a pink nail filer . No difference .Ordered 2 combos . Order looked like half of what I suppose to get . Right now I had to check on my uncle to see if they are alive in the bathroom after eating the chicken .

I ordered some food, $17 BBQ with rice and beans. The meat was well done and cut thin like a piece of paper, and the sausage was dry and broken.

Waste of money! I've been there one month ago and had an awful experience, but the food was ok. I decided to give them another chance because people say they are better within the delivery service. I ordered fries and they sent vegetables that are almost RAW. And the beans are just too watery!

Very hard to pick up from here as an Uber Driver. They have the option to stop accepting orders if the restaurant is busy or changing the time orders are ready. On two recent occasions, I've had to wait almost 30 minutes for an order, and I don't get paid for the extra time I wait. Restaurant should review and take this into account instead of just trying to sell.

What a waste of time and money! We used to love this place so much. And today we decided to come to celebrate my husband's bd and the food took forever to be served. The meat was over done [we has asked for medium] and I had to stand up my self to ask for everything we needed [from lemon to a different spoon because one was dirty]. I hope no one goes through the same situation; there's a similar restaurant near by where they also sell pizza we were told. Please Google around because this one it's sadly; nothing but not worth anymore at all.

I just ordered, from uber eats the mixed bbq, 1 person, the offer was by one and get one free, it cost 20 dollars one order, it looks like the restaurant split one order of meats in 2, the portion where very small, and part of it was burnt.

It pains me to write this review, but I really hope that the owner reads it and brings this place back to its glory days. I have been their customer for at least 15 years. They used to be amazing!! I’m not sure if the downfall started because the ownership changed but for the last couple of years it’s been a hit or miss with them, but yesterdays order has sadly made me decide to no longer patronize their business. Such a shame! I ordered a churrasco mixto for 4 ppl. It’s what I have been ordering from them all these years. I know exactly what kinda of meats come, and the quantity. Yesterday I was charged $80 not including taxes to receive an order that was missing 2 types of meat. No Brazilian sausage, and also this red meat that is almost like a small cube, I don’t know the name of it. All we got were 5 pieces of picanha, 4 drumsticks, 4 very small fatty pork ribs, and 4 bacon wrapped turkey pieces. How is that acceptable?? How are you going to charge your customers full price when you are not serving what comes with the dish?? I was going to call them to speak to someone but I stopped myself because if they sent the order out like that then it’s very obvious that they don’t care!! Their prices have increased which I find no problem with, but their quality has decreased horribly!! It’s really sad because Brazilian food is so delicious and they used to be so good!

The food is great, but the waiters forget to bring some things, like one soda at a time because when they take the order and forget, when we get there they could sell more. The prices on the internet are not up to date with the restaurant's menu, which is unfortunate and the customer ends up taking more.

Delayed more than an hour, the food is poorly organized

This place is a joke!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY NOR TIME GOING THERE TO EAT!!!! They took over 1 hour to serve the rodizio I ordered which is supposed to be “all you can eat”. They stopped bringing food to the table without asking, even after asking for a certain cut they would bring something else. On top of that the guy kept dropping the meat to the floor once he got to the table. Not professional whatsoever. Didn’t even bring bread to the table. It was terrible I will never eat there again they should just shut down the restaurant. If I could rate it a negative 5 stars I would.

As a Brazilian, the food is VERY tasty and similar to the real Brazilian food! I was very happy! Not a 5/5 because I ordered black beans and received regular beans, but besides of that, strongly recommend!

Patronized this place 4 over a decade. Seems it's now hit or miss with this place. Intention of review is to try to help. In last mths order they missed/ omitted large part of order. Perhaps they were in a rush.In current mths order the pork ribs were so so salty & inedible. Also disregarded my note to cook 'weldone' plus I had to wait 45 mins for order which i recon is normal from past experience.

Update: 12/2023: not going anymore. I hate to be the one to eat whatever is left in the kitchen every time. Now they have a liquor license so BYOB is charged per bottle. I’ll miss this place, it was a great family spot at times. ———————— Has been better. I’m taking a break from it. Was getting a delivery every week. But flavor was missing more and more. Don’t be cheep on the salt when it comes to picanha. May only go eat at the restaurant because fresh is always better. But no more deliveries.

I've ordered here a couple of times, and it keeps getting worse. If you order online, and leave a note or click the utensils button, they will do the complete opposite. If you ask to add more of something they remove it entirely. The service is worse then your standards applebee, which is disappointing since most of the food is delicious. My favorite item is the "Stroganoff" which is very close to the traditional taste. But, sadly the service is just so bad that it ruins the experience and the joy of eating good food. If you do dine in, something to note is they all speak Portuguese and not all employees speak english.

I have ordered from here plenty of times, and I am quite fed up that they do not read their instructions/order notes. If you check off to provide utensils and condiments they should be provided. If you are not then remove it from your online menu. I called to make sure they added what was on the instructions/notes (I would have paid extra if needed) and I was assured by the lady that picked up my call that they were. My order came without said utensils and condiments.

This was my third time here! The food is serve very quick and it's very tasty! The service staff is very friendly as well! This is a BYOB place.

Absurdo, recebi uma ordem de frango a passarinho com 10 pedaços desse tamanho. E detalhe eu tinha ligado e perguntado quantos vinham falaram de 15 a 20. Sério 5 a 10 faltando e muita diferença. Se eu não tivesse ligado. Mas o que acontece é que fiz o pedido por Uber eats. Acho que daí eles colocam menos, só pode. E você liga e eles não podem fazer nada. Lógico eles já venderam e já receberam né. Absurdo. Péssima experiência. A comida e boa, mas que adianta né se você vai acabar ficando com fome de qualquer jeito. Antes de ontem pedí a comida por Uber Eats e pedi um Bbq para duas pessoas com salada de batatas, a comida foi cuasi 60 dólares, o problema não é o valor da comida e o respeito e a amabilidade que tem que ter com os clientes, a minha carne estava toda seca parecia que ela tinha ficado na grelha por horas, a salada de batatas estava podre tinha sabor acedo, por favor pessoal eu não sou pessoa de fazer isto com ninguém mais eu trabalhe muitos anos em restaurante se vc quiser manter um cliente satisfeito e vc não sabe como, pesso por favor pedir ajuda para seu patrão que ele sabrá cómo ajudar um cliente e ficar satisfeito. I ordered the special of the day and while I was waiting for the food to be ready, the waiter Bruno was very polite. For this reason, I always go to this restaurant, which has good food and great servers!

I ordered the beef liver with onions, rice, black beans and fries. Let me tell you! The beef liver was tender, not gamey, seasoned to perfection. Onions perfectly sautéed. Rice was a perfect cook. Beans well seasoned. Fries even had some crispy ones despite this being an Uber Eats delivery and I'm not a fry geek anyway, they just came with the dish and were fresh. This was SO good and I can eat off of this two more times before it's finished so it is a great deal even if you are a one sit eater and eat it all at once. Thank you Brazilian spices. I did see some inconsistent reviews however I said a prayer, clicked my heels 3 times and ordered anyway. So glad that I did!

Placed an online order for pick up 2 hours ahead. Once I arrived had to wait for another 30mins. Was the only customer.

I wanted to support this restaurant so I ordered directly from them instead of using apps like UberEats/Grubhub. It took TWO AND HALF HOURS to receive my simple order after I placed. I live a mile away from the restaurant, I should have walked over. I had to call the restaurant twice to figure out what was going on (was placed on hold for 5 minutes both times). The first time I called they claimed I would have my food in 5 minutes. A complete lie. It still took over 45 minutes, had to call again. Of course once the food arrived it was cold, and I was still missing some items that should have been in my order. Appalling customer service. Completely unacceptable.

I wish I could give them no stars. It used to be a good spot. Now they don’t care about the customers. Tried to overcharge us and charge us stuff we didn’t order. Make sure to look at the check before paying. Poor customer service. Train your staff on how customer service. Never coming back here again. To be even worse, food was dry and horrible.

Cheguei por volta das 8pm; o estabelecimento funciona até 9:30pm e o salão estava vazio; fui mal atendido; os funcionários pareciam que so queriam ir embora e não foram nada simpáticos; sem falar que faltava muitas coisas do menu como por exemplo suco de laranja; linguiça e mandioca.

Food was good and well seasoned, but service was below par and prices high. Experience wasn't worth it. The place was empty on a Saturday 8PM and there were plenty of staff, huddled in a corner talking with each other. Restrooms were ok but there was no toilet paper. Servers were nice but not very driven. I understood later with the check. Server did not ask regarding meat doneness. The skirt steak (fraldinha) was served on the well done side. It was tender and well seasoned though. Fish was well seasoned and with good crispy batter. They did not serve tapwater even though I requested it and only brought a bottled water. Server did not clean up table between main course and dessert. Churros were fried / heated on oil and were crispy and not too greasy, the filing could be more tasty but the dulce de leche on the side was fresh and not overly sweet. The check already included a tip even though we were only two people. There was no indication of a surcharge in the check, but they charge extra if you pay with a credit card. Not worth returning.

We came later in the evening around 8 pm. We ordered the Rodizio and we were worried the food might not be fresh because it was so late. We watched them make fresh food and it was so delicious! Definitely the best Rodizio around. 10/10 highly recommend!

This was my go to for Brazillian food I’ve ordered from here multiple times with no complaints however today I Accidentally ordered a Churrasco Misto for four people instead of the two people I actually wanted to order for. I immediately called in my mistake and was told by an employee over the phone I couldn’t do anything about it since the order was placed and they would “lose” out on food despite having “just” placed the order. This will be the last time I order from them since they are not willing to work with frequent customers.

I had a late lunch and they don't have all the food listed on the menu. Was like, have a 3 or 4 choices to get one.

Dont even waste your time. We went their today and ordered the bbq platter for 2. Meat was dry. I mean so dry. They literally made it earlier in a day and reheated the meat on the grill. On top of it we ordered 3 cans of soda. CANS!!!! They charges us $12.00 for 3 cans of soda. What a rip off. We asked for bread. They said they didn’t have any. Asked for coffee. They said coffee maker was broken!!! What a waste of time. Definitely never coming back. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Good evening community I would like to let you know that I am here to say that Brazilian Spice from Kearny have unprofessional workers. To begin with the first time I order a chicken Cesar salad they told us that the Cesar dressing was $1.50. To go on with this one star I gave them a chance to see if they would better them selves and yet they weren’t capable of doing that. For the second time me and my family had order a pizza and they had took 2-3 hours to deliver the food and the pizza had then came cold to go on top of all the waiting. I’m also not even a few blocks away from there restaurant. As you guys are enjoying to read my complains I could continue. The third time I had order when the food had arrived and my family was ready to eat we had then realized that one of the meats that they had sent us was rotten and we had to throw it all out. Last but not least I recently just ordered food for the last time from them because my husband accidentally called them making a order not knowing that I had already order and the lady on the phone started laughing at everything my husband was saying. He then asked her if he was a clown for her to be laughing at everything he was saying and she said “no something funny just happened.” When my husband went to call and cancel the order she was still laughing at everything he was saying. Not only does Brazilian spice have unprofessional people working there I tried to get in contact with the owner before this review and she ignored me from the start.
