My wife and I stopped in for a couple drafts yesterday, and we were very impressed. Awesome brews, great location, and we were lucky enough to have Jacob be our bartender. Really enjoyed talking with him, and he does a great job! We'll be back. Re-visited 6/13/24. Emily was tending bar, and we really enjoyed meeting her as well. Drank more great beer, and had a good time. BTF is awesome! Back again 7/21/24, had a great time again! Kaycie was tending bar this time; she is awesome too! Also enjoyed chatting with Rob (manager).

What a great experience. The drink options were plentiful. I did a flight of beer before deciding which one to get a full glass of. There were all good, but two really stood out and made it tough to choose. I decided on the Bloody beer and will be back!

Would not recommend this Brewery as a visitor. My wife and I were excited about the beer list at this establishment. Upon arriving we walked in to zero greeting, so we proceeded to seat ourselves. After 10 minutes of sitting with no acknowledgement, we walked up to the bar where several individuals were sitting and enjoying their drinks. The bar tender looked at both of us directly several times, walked back and forth and ignored us completely to wait on multiple individuals that seemed like locals. We are fairly patient and sit at the bar for an additional 5-10 minutes before an individual walked up to place his order. The bar tender immediately waited on him and the customer was pleasant enough to say "they were here first." The bar tender proceeded to say "Yea, I see them" directly in front of us. Again, we are patient individuals and want to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but this was a blatant slap in the face to a visitor. We proceeded to leave. We have had too many other great and pleasant experiences at other breweries in the area to waste our money at this place.

I just moved to Traverse City, and I ADORE this brewery! The cidar beer I had was amazing! The waitress, Kendra, was so friendly. They treated me like I was born and raised here and I felt like I'm home! My dog's were welcome and we sat around the fire pit. This really is one of my favorite hang outs!

Nice place, clean, friendly tender behind the bar, liked the decor, beer I had was cold, it was the Karma Palace IPA, good taste, smooth. Only sereve chips and maybe pretzel with cheese dip. This place is BYOF, Yes own food allowed. First time visitor, only 3 stars, will need to visit again to get a better feel for thier beverages, overall nice place.

Was just thinking about this place again. Visited this past March 2023. Will definitely come back next time we're in Traverse City.

This is a must stop place for any beer lover passing through Traverse City or living in the area. We stop by every summer for the past few years and the bartender Tiffany always recognizes us, even though we only come once a year. She is the absolute best!!! They have awesome beer, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Wish we lived closer so we could come more often.

I stopped in at Terra Firma to try some of their beers on a slow Saturday evening. The bartender was friendly, and the place is very nice. It must be gorgeous outside there later in the year. The beers were good, and I think that their Caffeine Bear was my favorite; it had lots of coffee flavor while remaining well-balanced. I’ll definitely try their beers when I see them from now on.

This is a great brewery. The place is clean and nice, and they have a good selection of beers. I was really intrigued by some of their flavors and styles. They are definitely creative brewers. I had three different beers and liked them all. The service was fantastic. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. They also provide a nice outdoor space and board games to play while you hang out.

Tonight (Sunday) was euchre night 3 to 6. County feel, they make their own honey here. No food just snacks.

Very unusual Brews. Friendly bartenders. Space is cavernous (tall ceiling).

Awesome beer! We LOVED all of the ones we tried. My favorite was probably the Brown. Definitely recommend making the stop and then drive to Rainbow Valley (10 min away) to see some Alpacas!

Excellent beer selection and bartenders. They have a shuffleboard table that is fun to play. Will be going back. Nice place.

This was the first time that my husband and I went to Brewery Terra Firma and we played trivia. They had a lot of beer on tap but we don't drink beer. Our friends really enjoyed trying all the different beers. We enjoyed ourselves and we did win first place in trivia.

Fun, quiet out of the way brewery with super unique beers. Outdoor area to sit in the summer. Always friendly staff with a small selection of board/card games to play.

Great Beers. Have plenty of beers that stay the same throughout the year and then quite a few that rotate. There is a tent outside with fire pits, and plenty of indoor seating. There is board games and shuffleboard. Tuesdays is trivia and Wednesdays right now there are euchre tournaments.

Love this place. Very unique brews. The Imperial Soul Butter IPA is one of my favorite beers of all time.

Amazing and unique beers that are like no other in Traverse City, great and helpful staff. Location is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating available. Tuesday night trivia is a must!!

After a few trips to Traverse City, I can honestly say that the quality and environment at this brewery is unmatched. I always enjoy our trips to BTF. Away from the hustle and bustle but the beers are awesome.

Good brews with some ingredients sourced on-site or local. Clean and open areas inside and out. There was a fireball pizza vendor on-site for food during our visit.

I like it! Friendly place with friendly customers, open space inside with plenty of outdoor seating, too. Music plays gently - in the background where it should be! I almost feel like I'm hanging out at a friend's house.

The staff are always very kind! The beers are not my preference, but they also have food and merchandise, as well as host events such as a mini farmers market! Cool place to check out.

Beer is great but very disappointed that they would not start a fire in an unoccupied fire pit for our group. Only one of three fire pits was lit and was already occupied. Make sure you confirm they will start a fire for you as it is too cold otherwise. One and done.

Honestly, one of the best breweries I've ever been to. It's my personal favorite "small" brewery, I say small because they don't distribute beer. IPA kingdom.

Super friendly staff here! Kate was so helpful and even brought over a complimentary sip of the Torro Tang cider after she heard me talking about it. I then got a larger pour. The beer was pretty good, though Cagney grapefruit was a bit bland for grapefruit. They sell Traverse City shortbread, which are amazing bites of buttery goodness. Will definitely return.

Excellent beer, good atmosphere! The Brown Donkey Smasher is one of the best brown ales around, and the Little Italy is a delicious honey/ basil ale( I think it’s an ale?). Didn’t try the food but it looked good for snacking. There is pleasant outdoor seating and corn hole.

Very cool brewery.Tiffany and Madison were welcoming and informative great conversation w these two ladies! I would love a sweeter hard cider and maybe a mead to join the beer menu in the future! Also please add the lady terrafirma logo in a men’s cut T-shirt & on a hoodie & on the baseball T-shirt! Some ladies are not fans of the women’s cut T-shirt’s:)

One word to describe the beers here, wow! There was a very inventive and imaginative selection of beers on tap. What I liked was the way the brewers went beyond the standard “clean” beers. The use of spices and yeasts truly danced around the pallet. I can’t recommend Terra Firma enough. These folks could hold there own anywhere. Very highly recommended.

Only place I town with shuffle board! Plus if you live in the apartments across the street as I do you get a discount.

There is a nice vibe here, cathedral ceiling in the main room, plus plenty of light. The music sounds great. Good place to share wonderful microbrewery beer with friends. I love the darker beers here. The current Brown Donkey Smasher is my favorite. Taste for yourself! A-

The atmosphere is very easygoing and fun, staff was friendly, the drinks were good and they have board games- cards, shuffle board, & (an addictive) tiki toss game.

Nice, spacious taproom with a cozy atmosphere and excellent beer. There was also trivia on the night of our visit which was fun for all. I really appreciate all the experimental brews made in small batches here. I never realized how good a lemon basil beer could be--it was excellent! I was disappointed to find that the keg blew on it early in the evening but hopefully it will be back soon. Keep experimenting!

Awesome brewery! The ladies working the bar were super friendly. The beer is a steal for the price/quality. You can bring food in or have something delivered which not many places allow. An added bonus is that we were expecting to pay for the samples we ordered as they were listed at $1.50 but came to find out they were free.

Our beers were awesome especially the Honey Basil and Heather. Fun snack options as well. Both bartenders were super personable and knowledgeable. We loved learning about their commitment to sustainable and mindful building and brewing processes.

Had some decent beers, even had a cask ale. If you are into experimental ales, this is the place for you. Majority of the beers had honey or beets or something in them (not my preference but some people love). Also looks like it is in a converted church, but can’t confirm.

Soul butter 1 word to describe it dank maybe even robust it's a flavor grenade when I sip it, it feels like some one took a palm full of hops and smacked me in the face....but I enjoyed it..... good stuff been to this brewery twice have never been disappointed you roll down a random road away from the typical city bs...then you get to this place that looks like a farm and boom it's a brewery a damn good one. Are you in traverse? Get the hell outta the city go here its worth it deserves 5 stars maybe 6

Very cool place. They actually recycle thier own water after brewing. First agricultural brewery in Michigan.
