Worth the wait. Best breakfast..corned beef has is amazing.

Tiny joint with a lot of heart 💜 Service was great and the food was delicious 😋 👌 They put tons of filling in their omelets-no skimping here 😆 The home fries were the bomb 💣 😋 😀 Even the toast was quality- thick and delicious. Highly recommended 👌 just don't come too hungry bc you might hafta wait a bit if they're busy, but even the wait wasn't bad considering how busy they were ☺️💜🍒😍

We love this place. The corned beef hash is made in-house and is delicious. The cornbread is sweet and savory and more like moist cake. Service with a smile is the norm, and special discounts for military, police, fire, EMT personnel.

We eat here just about weekly, and cannot say enough good things. Staff is top notch, food is more than filling. They are very willing to prepare special orders.

Best breakfast we've had since moving to the area four years ago.

The food was delicious. The service was great. My only issue was the price. I paid $24 in total just for myself. I got a cup of coffee and the special for the day, which was eggs Benedict with spinach, tomatoes, and hollandaise sauce. It didn’t come with a side, but I added a side of home fries with peppers and onions.

This small patriotic diner delivers a big breakfast. It would be a challenge to leave the table still hungry with even some of their “smaller” menu items. The flavor is excellent among the diner-style breakfasts. If you need that big hearty weekend breakfast, this is the place.

One of the best places to eat around town. Great food and excellent employees. Thier portions are MASSIVE, so bring an appetite! The SOS was awesome!

Cute little hometown restaurant. We went for breakfast, everything was fresh and delicious, portion sizes were good too, pancakes are gigiantic! They also have gluten free pancakes and bagels so you can get a delicious meal gluten free! Will certainly be returning.

Grabbed breakfast on the way home from work. Staff working the floor seemed really rushed/preoccupied, but only had a few 2-tops, a couple 4 tops & 2 seated at the bar. I'd recommend to someone who is passing through the area, based on the OTHER positive reviews, but I'll try somewhere else along the way next time. The SOS wasn't like "Grandma used to make" (creamy chipped beef) it seemed like gravy with ground beef... I don't regret stoping in, either way.

Things have been a little bit shaky since the new management took over, please make sure your kitchen staff keeps the Taste and quality of the food where it was when you took over. It's a little bit heartbreaking that the desserts are gone and Food Service pies are in their place I hope that's solved soon. Loved your desserts for years. Keep up the good work

I brought my Family to celebrate our Birthdays. We ordered our breakfast and were glad to see the same waitress that's taken care of us for a long time. She asked us if we are Veterans and Yes, we are and proudly told her so. There was a family next to us that had ordered pancakes and such and were served their pancake on a plate of its own since it is huge ! When our food came, everything was crammed on a platter with a third of my pancake hanging over the edge !!! Seriously right now ??? Had to ask for a plate for my pancake ?!! My SOS was poured over biscuits I had to use a knife to cut !!!! And I to use some force to cut through !!! I asked for fresh biscuits. The same tough old biscuits came ... Sad If Dave came by today and tasted the food he'd want his name back off the our door sign ! They said it's the same recipie but we All know you give a recipie to two chefs and it will be two different meals. So, the same recipie but not executed the same. David is a bonified Army Mess Hall Cook ❤️ ...don't know bout this cook ... 😪 This is no longer the Great tasting food I'd go there regularly to enjoy 😪. No longer the place it used to be 😫 So sad.

The food is so good you will experience a life long happiness that will never leave your memory and a little bit of sadness. The happiness comes from the moment you get to behold upon the food in all of its wonder. All of your senses will be heightened to a point of pure Joy that can only be explained by God Himself. The little bit of sadness you will experience is from the fact that the moment the food hits your mouth you wish you could have experienced this kind of love your whole life up until this point.

1st visit there and was super happy! Had a table of 5 and it was crowded. They seated us right away and quickly got drinks and took our order. Everyone was pleased and loved what they ordered! Ordered the Ray Ray plate, 2 egg breakfast, cheesesteak and the BTL.

I've never had a b bad meal here and the prices are great 👍.

Well well this is pretty much out my destination especially coming from monroville area but I gotta admit it was well worth the drive. Not a very big diner but the service was excellent. Never heard of Springdale nor I just wanted good breakfast even tho we were only 2 black people in diner no one gave us bad vibe.. We all know how it can be.. All waitress treated us kind we weren't neglected at any service. Keep up good work. I'll definitely go back again oh those eggs and potatoes are phenomenal!!!! The only thing I didn't really care for is the sausage patties everyone make them different but I ate it anyhow my butt was hungry 😂😂..

Food was just okay, was greeted by a large unpleasant woman. There was a group of people standing at the door, and I was holding the door open, and she screamed at me to shut it. She was our waitress, Joy! Food came out quickly but she didn’t bring it, and that was it. She ignored us the rest of the time. No refills, nothing. I had to yell to get our check. I’m very big on tipping so this is a first for me to leave nothing. I didn’t even want to pay the bill. Fix your attitude or your restaurant will die with the rest of the old folks that are your regulars. Bunch of miserable boomers.

This was our first visit and we absolutely loved it! Food was great and service was excellent! We will be back!!!

My third time stopping in and the first time sitting at the bar. This is the best breakfast food I have ever had. The portions are huge and the flavor is off the charts. My coffee was always full and they had heavy whipping cream for creamer which is awesome. I will visit every-time I get to town. The people were very friendly and if you are a first responder or veteran they give you a discount.

I came to the diner around 11:45. Took 10 minutes for someone to wait on me after being seated. After I placed my order, it took 35 minutes to receive my order of 1 pancake and scrambled egg. No one came to say why there was a delay or even apologize. I understand there are delays at times but this seemed rather excessive.

Hidden Gem not too far from Fox Chapel and Pittsburgh Mills that serves hearty, home cooked breakfast and lunch. Definitely the place to go for big plates. Nice service and great environment..

Any time best breakfast in western PA is discussed, David’s Diner is mentioned. Well they’re right! The food is amazing and the portions are huge!

Poor service. We walked in and there was no one to greet us and there was 5 open tables so we sat down. A kind waitress took our drink order and then a hostess came and rudely said there was a long wait list but nobody was around. She said we had to wait outside. We took our business elsewhere. We will never stop here again.

Service was not too attentive. Almost couldn't get check. Food was overpriced and very greasy. They need to take a page from a NJ or NY diner playbook.

Went for the first time the other day, around 11:30. I was going to have eggs and hash but they ran out of home fries that they use to make fresh corned beef hash. So I had a cheese steak. Not really what I wanted and it was kind of small for the price. And they ran out of chips so I got French fries instead. They were kind of mediocre. I heard another customer order ham omelet but they didn't have ham. So I don't think I'll be heading back.

If I could give 0 stars I really would. Absolute shame. I have always heard that this place was a great one to eat at. Tried it the first time today. Totally regret it. Ordered for a total of 4 people. Let’s start from the beginning. I walk in, not knowing where to go or anything. Waitress is talking to a customer and turns around to look at me. She just stares at me and proceeds to ask me what do I need in a very rude manner. I let her know who I’m picking up for. She points at the register and tells me to go over there. I comply. The first order was for only one of the four people and it was already paid for over the phone. The waitress asked me if they wanted to leave a tip. I told here I didn’t know. She responds, “Well do you wanna call her and find out?” In a condescending tone. I told her I didn’t have my phone on me because I left it in the car. She said, “Mhm”. the process continues and she asks for the ZIP code for the debit card that was used. I asked to borrow the phone and I called our work to find out the ZIP. The transaction completes and we move to the second order. This one had the other 3 items for the other people. We process the payment and I bring to her attention that we were told that hash browns are not made after 11 which, no biggie. Just wanted to see if maybe we could do a substitute. Even some chips or something. She proceeds to look at me and raise her voice a little that “We stop making eggs and breakfast after 11” I said I was just asking and then she says, “So what do you want to do?” I told her not to worry about it because I didn’t want to cause any trouble. Her attitude from the very beginning was not appreciated, I felt unwelcome, she was very rude, and it is unprofessional to push for tips. I don’t leave bad reviews because I don’t want to leave a bad mark on somewhere because I understand if there are bad days and stuff. It happens. But she was rude from the beginning to the end. So maybe I did something wrong from just by ordering food there or I don’t know. Also, if things aren’t made after a certain time, then the menu needs to be heavily updated on the website. The food was mediocre. VERY greasy and my omelette was basically a soup. There was so much oil in the bottom of my container.

Love this local gem, and can't wait to return! The pancakes, are huge and delicious. Their corn beef hash is easily the best around! It is a cozy spot, so their may be a bit of a wait during peak hours, but it's completely worth it.

There isn't one negative thing I could say about David's Diner. We came in during Sunday Brunch. The diner was filled, the staff was very attentive and seated us immediately even though it was so busy. We were waited on very fast, and got our food fast. The food was astounding, especially considering the price point. This will certainly be a regular spot for my family from now on.

My boyfriend and I came here after church and we had such an awesome experience! When we pulled in, the parking lot was filled to the brim, and seeing as the diner is so small we were a bit worried we would have to wait a while before getting seated, but when we got inside we were sat almost immediately. The service was fast and all of the staff were so kind. To top it off, our meals were amazing. Neither of us could stop talking about how much we loved our meals after we had finished. We are so glad we stopped in and already can't wait for our next visit!

This was my first visit to David’s Diner. We had no wait. Food was hot and tasty (those chips, wow). Very cool atmosphere. It’s a small place and easy to miss but definitely worth finding.

David's is a small town diner that serves a great breakfast at an excellent price. They gave us a discount because one of our group is a veteran. I highly recommend this place.

If the food wasnt amazing, they would easily get a 1 star. Like I said, the food is the best thing I’ve ever eaten….BUT the service is EXTREMELY RUDE. Walked in and asked if there was a wait. This older lady with glasses paused and looked at me like I was crazy. She said with attitude “UH YEAH”. I proceeded to ask how long the wait would be. She then looked back over at me with a glare, didn’t say a word, and just threw her hands up in the air! Folks, enjoy the fantastic food but don’t expect anything more from this place. I would come in for breakfast almost once a week but I don’t think I’ll ever go back because of how rude the staff was towards me for no reason. I don't need attitude served to me first thing in the morning for asking simple, easy questions.

This is one of those Mom & Pop style places, found roadside, somewhere that you might not expect to find a great restaurant. This was our first visit, and I already sent others here, and had great feedback from them. The breakfast I had was worth the wait on a busy Sunday morning. There seems to be a wait to get in during typical breakfast hours (approx. 9am - 11am). It didn't take long to be seated. My favorite item was the white toast, lol. It was delicious! I also admitted their fruit bowl, which was large and looked amazing. My son had an open faced omelet, and he loved it. Portions are not skimpy! Service is friendly and kind. Highly recommended .

I decided to treat myself for breakfast. Staff was very friendly. I decided to try something different. Stuffed French Toast with Raspberry filling and strawberries on top. It was delicious. I didn't even need the syrup or butter it was perfect enough. I was able to enjoy the beautiful weather outside and enjoy my breakfast. Definitely be returning. Kim
