Wow! What a sweet lill surprise this was! Brisket was delicious! Try the U.F.O.! And the banana puddin came in this cute jar! Yum!

Visiting friends in the Fort Worth area, from Arizona, and they took me here for dinner last night. The owners were super friendly and they hooked it up! We got a little bit of everything. The burnt ends were the best I’ve ever had, the turkey was amazing, the brisket was amazing, the ribs were great, and the sausage was to die for! The sides were really good also, especially the Mac n cheese. I think my favorite item was the UFO though, you’ll have to try it for yourself!! Very delicious! Thank you for making my first impression of Texas BBQ an awesome one!

Food was sooo good. Brisket was moist and tender. Seasoned to perfection. The pork ribs were cooked perfectly. They were intact but very soft. Even the Turkey slices were moist and seasoned. I would recommend getting the smoked Mac and cheese. It has little jalapeño diced in it that give it just a slight kick which really works well with the creamy cheese. Don’t even get me started on the brisket baked beans (it speaks for itself). It’s a real nice establishment with a homey feel and the service is friendly. I pass this place often and thought I would try it out. I called in an order, 2 chopped beef sandwiches and a medium bowl of potato salad. Also 1 pound of jalapeño cheddar sausage. My little girl and I picked up the order and went home 16 minutes away. When I opened the bag I took out the sandwiches and potatoes salad. No sausage but a small order of burnt ends. The sandwiches had alot of meat, but alot of it was hard and dry. The potato salad was OK, my little girl liked it. The lady said BBQ sauce was in the bag. There was no BBQ sauce! Burnt ends had a good flavor but really dry and tough. Our Rottweiler loved them. For 50 something bucks it's definitely not worth it! They were not busy. Maybe they were having a bad day. We won't be back!

Delicious BBQ! Some of the moistest and most delicious turkey I’ve ever had. The jalapeño sausage was equally tasty. Not a huge fan of potato salad but loved it here. Drinks were cold and the desserts were tasty as all get out. Customer appreciation day was amazing and the bounce-houses were a fun addition for the kiddos.

Did not like there sides at all.Ribs were ok so was chopped beef.Not hot enough for me. Nice place but needs to do better sides. Do not know if I would come back.

Yummy food. Great service. I was a little cold, but no complaints! Highly recommend the UFO, brisket, and pulled pork! Sauce is a little of everything:sweet, spicy, sour! All comes together beautifully! We will definitely come back.

WORST BBQ in Texas! Overpriced and greasy! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Who eats sweet pickles with a BBQ sandwich? What planet are y'all from. I prefer Soulmans any day!

The brisket was great, very tender! Didn't even have to use bbq sauce on the entire sandwich because there was so much flavor in the char. Hands down my favorite in Wise County

The pablano pepper(UFO) was fabulous. The atmosphere was inviting. If you love bbq this is absolutely the best in Boyd Texas

WHEN IN RHOME :) - I drove an hour from Dallas last Sunday to check out what all the fuss was about and I was not disappointed. Feels like a family ran joint with the friendliest staff and delicious plates.

This was the first time to have brisket on a potato. The flavor was amazing and I couldn't get enough! This is what I call comfort food! I will be back any chance I get. It's definitely worth the drive from wherever you live!

This is not a regular BBQ joint. The staff is so friendly, the restaurant is updated, their alien decorations are original, and always fun to look at. Their food is delicious and the twist they put in some of their dishes is out of this world!👽 Hands down one of the best BBQ places in Wise County.

Nice little comfy spot for Sunday brunch with coworkers. The food was good, the service was excellent. And most of all, it was reasonably priced, with drinks included.

We will absolutely be back. I am so glad we pulled off to eat. I had the loaded potato and my 10 yo had the smoked turkey sandwich which she loved. She is a picky eater and she hates potatoes. I had her try mine and she liked it! They were super sweet to her and let her bowl for an added treat. It was too cute.

Excellent Texas BBQ for a great price. Was parked at the Loves truck stop in Rhome and happened to see it was near and so I tried it out. Was so good I'm a little upset all the times I was parked down the street and didn't know this gem was here. Got the brisket both fatty and lea, turkey, mac n cheese and potato salad. Everything was great but the brisket was exceptional, seasoned and cooked to perfection. You owe to yourself to try this place out if you get the opportunity.

The definition of “you get what you pay for”. The sides are arguably some of the best in North Texas. The beans do have a lot of brisket in them but you’re eating BBQ, why wouldn’t you want more brisket? The Burnt Ends and Potato Salad are my go-to!

Great BBQ, my weekly lunch. I love the Cuban Tacos, the UFO is a huge poblano pepper filled with brisket, cream cheese and wrapped bacon yum and the Pozole is delish :)

Simply the best burnt ends and brisket I have ever had and I consider myself a connoisseur. The UFO is also incredible. If you are in the area, this is a must stop. I haven't eaten in the restaurant but the atmosphere looks fun. Side note: when are we getting pozole? :)

Superb local BBQ shack/ restaurant We ate the specialty (the UFO : stuffed bbq pepper) and some burnt ends to fill the gaps. The sauce was great... The welcome was very friendly on top of that. Highly recommended!

Absolutely good. It was my first time there. The desert was great and so was the chop brisket sandwich. I know I'll be returning. You won't be disappointed. I should have taken a pic but I forgot when I saw my food.

Bbq chopped brisket is my go-to often these days, and I will only get it from Smoking Windmill BBQ! Best bbq anywhere around. Great staff too and I love the new location.

If your in the Fort Worth area or passing through this place is worth the stop. Great food great service and the people are amazing. We live a couple hours away and you can bet we will make the drive to come back again.

I had the brisket baked potato and my husband had the jalapeño sausage with the smoked mac & cheese. The food was out of this world! Full pun intended!

The pork burnt ends were awesome!! The sausage was great. I really feel like that's all that was good though. The turkey was very, very salty. The coleslaw was not great. The potato salad tasted weird. I didn't like the brisket, the texture was off and it didn't have a flavor to it. The sauce is sweet and full of berry flavoring with a small spice kick that I did think complimented everything very well. The macaroni was not special and neither was the baked potato. I would come here again to try other things but not the same things.

A big ole Texas greeting as you walk through the door sets the tone for an enjoyable experience. The meats are lightly seasoned so you actually taste the meat. The brisket was phenomenal. Ribs are large and meaty. The pulled pork comes topped with coleslaw. It was moist and full of flavor. The mustard potato salad was a big hit with Darren. I was not enamored with my side. Too much flavor. My taste run more Southern Baptist potluck. The do not offer a chicken option or Coke Cola…they do have turkey and Dr Pepper.

All the reviews I read everyone seemed to enjoy the food so we gave them a try. It must have been an off day or possibly new kitchen/prep help because we were not a fan nor would we recommend but again could have been a non typical Saturday which happens to everyone. Tried the one meat plate sliced brisket, potato salad and brisket beans. The brisket was too salty for my liking. The potato salad was overly seasoned and too much tang/mustard. The brisket beans had one or more similar seasonings as the potato salad and more juice than bean ratio. Tried the one meat plate with the bacon burnt ends, creamed corn and Mac and cheese. The bacon burnt ends were hard and dry. The mac and cheese did not appear to be fresh but rather reheated and had a taste as if cheese was powered cheese or something off. Creamed corn was just alright. The staff is very friendly and the establishment was clean and nicely decorated. Parking is gravel and easy on and off out of the lot. Pricing is typical for the craft bbq. We went in hopeful and left disappointed. We will be giving another try to see if it was just an off day or something out of the ordinary seeing as the great reviews.
