This is an amazing Museum... 5 museums in 1! I particularly loved the natural History museum part and loved that it was part of the Smithsonian museums. Very much appreciated that they participated in the Blue Star Museum program for active duty military families to enter the museum for free this summer.

We're in our 60s and into our 2nd week of vaca. 1st week was in Yellowstone. General admission gets us 2 days in there. Today we did the Buffalo Bill Muesum and the Whitney Western Art Museum. Tomorrow we'll do 1 or 2 more then head out of town. The BB Museum had a lot of great history in it. The WWA Museum had some high quality art works. The bronze are ESPECIALLY good. You get a LOT for the admission charge. A top attraction for Cody.

Though limited in subject to the old West, I would compare it favorably with the Smithsonian! It's five separate museums and only one is dedicated to Buffalo Bill, so the name is misleading. If you're visiting Yellowstone, save a day or two for here. You won't regret it.

Beautiful collections, especially those at the Plains Indians Museum. Also interesting are the Western Art Museum and the Buffalo Bill Museum. The firearms museum is above all a huge display. As for the natural history museum, although the layout is neat, it is difficult to find a common thread and to be interested from start to finish. Thank you to the curators, who do not hesitate to challenge us and pique our curiosity, making the visit even more interesting. You can easily spend a good half day in this five-fold museum, for example if it rains...

Our family of 4 spent 6 hours in the museum and could have spent another day. We booked an exclusive tour for my 10 year old for his birthday, and both my sons(the second being 6 years old) loved it! Our tour guide Dana did a wonderful job focusing on what interested them and sharing unique facts that they wouldn't probably find out just looking through the museum on our own. They were able to hold and look at guns, which was so fun for all of us. It's definitely worth the extra money.

A very Western Museum to visit if you ever around cody it’s a great way to spend a half morning day. I enjoyed going through the firearm museum to see the evolution of guns and weapons, the craftsmanship the beauty of each era and the weapons of choice is amazing. Got to see the bird show there’s two of them depends on the time you’ll see and Owl 🦉 which we got to learned about and it was pretty cool. I got to see the Buffalo Bills Museum and got to do a scavenger and it was very fun to get to intentionally walk around the museum to get to know it, but when I was done the prize was a sticker so I was terrified. But relieved I got most of the items and got to see most of the museum. There is so much to explore and the Museum ticket is good for two days.

I wanted to "see inside a wolf pup den" but not working and wasn't even labeled as such. Several screens in Plains Indian Museum didn't work either with no signage indicating such.
