Fresh Elk Burgers are delicious, juicy, BIG and grilled over Kiawe wood. Hawaiian Mesquite. That backside road wrapping around the south end of Maui on The Hana Highway really opens up from the Rainforests of Hana to wide open Range Hawaiian Territory and Homestead Country. The sunsets will be Forever Remembered from 2000 ft elevation on Haleakala, Mauis cratered Volcano. Feels like your in old west with a couple shaded picnic tables. Great stop for food on drive when going all the way AROUND Maui. Take an Epic rest before you have to drive at least another hour to get another town. Cruise through beautiful Upcountry Maui.

Big burgers cooked to order with a breathtaking view. Some menu options were limited because of reduced hours, weekends only for now, due to road construction nearby.

This is a go to spot if you like Clean Fresh Burgers. 🍔 the burger was so delicious there was no need for condiments .🤤

Easily one of the best burgers, if not the best burger we have ever had. Perfectly cooked, moist, and full of flavor. We asked the owner what the secret was, and she earnestly pointed to the field across the road from the stand, where the family has free-ranged cattle for generations. Pictures do not do this setting justice—it’s simply breathtaking. So, if you’re in Maui, do yourself a favor and drive here and get yourself an amazingly fresh burger. You will regret it if you don’t. For an extra bit of magic and silliness, go towards the end of the day (before they close!) and enjoy your meal sitting on a saddle seat while watching the sunset—it will make your day. We will be back :-) —editing this review a year later when we came back to Maui to experience the magic of this island and the magic of Bully’s burgers again. AMAZING burgers, in a stunning setting. Yeah… it’s going to be a bit of a drive off the beaten path, but that is part of what makes this place special. Come have a burger (or two :-) )—you will be glad you did.

This burger joint is very inaccessible. It is located in the middle of Haleakala, so you have to go there on purpose. Or you can meet it while driving along the road to Hana. The taste of the burger is very good. The thick patty is full of sauce and the roasted flavor is full. You have to sit in a place that is ambiguous to call a restaurant, but... The burger you eat while looking at the sea and hills in the middle of Haleakala is very atmospheric.

Burgers are excellent as always! We were hoping to watch the sun set, but being January you take your chances with the weather. For us, it was cloudy. Rain falling on to the ocean, with the sun behind, was pretty cool.

I had a Bully's Burger 2 yrs ago. It was juicy and delicious! I had one last week and it was horrible. The burger patty was too large for the bun. It was overcooked and difficult to chew. The bun was dry from being on the grill rack too long. I am very disappointed because I really was looking forward to having one of your hamburgers.

Terrific place for a meal if you are driving around the southern tip of Maui. Very friendly.

My wife and I discovered Bully's the 1st time we visit Maui. The food is always good. It is tough to beat the view of the Pacific Ocean from there. You have your choice sitting at a picnic table or sitting on a saddle to eat your meal. See you next trip.

Sorry but I truly don’t get the hype around this place. Got the 8 oz burger. The patty was way overdone. The bun was half the diameter of the burger which made it very difficult to eat. Comes with chips and not fries and the taste of the burger is mediocre at best.

The BEST burger on the island! Worth the trip and the view is astounding. I love this place and supporting the ‘ohana that run it. Just make sure they are open before you set out and pull over for the locals on the road there. They know the road and it’s twisty turny. When safe pull over to let them by and then enjoy the drive. You will get a cheeseburger in paradise.

These burgers are AWESOME! Juicy, delicious, and served with premium ingredients like butter lettuce. Gotta try! For reference the cheeseburgers are between 16-19$ a burger, and they come with house made chips which are the bomb. And the view is absolutely fantastic! Its a completely different side of Maui compared to the beaches! If going upcountry, you have to visit!

Great hidden little spot on fun road. Can be very windy, but the road is arguably more fun than Road to Hana. Great views of the ocean over and over, and of course a great lunch at Bully’s Burger! Real ranch style burger with incredibly good taste. Organic and grass fead. Enjoy a beautiful view while sit down to an tasty burger. They take cards, but bring cash just in case as cell service is spotty. Some interesting variety (I wanted to try everything). Extremely pleasant staff.

Unfortunately the water pump was broken, so we didn't get to eat here. It was recommended by someone at the hotel we were staying at. We got to get out of our vehicles and look at the beautiful scenery though! Wow! What a view!!

Great burger and views. Had whatever the spicy burger was. Comes with some chips and pickle on the side. Tiny grill shack. Parking behind. Porta potty there too. Picnic tables (and 3 saddle seats!) for enjoying your meal. Most tables are under some kind of roof, but still open air.

Hubby and I stopped by on a whim and split one of Bully’s burgers since it was between meals. Awesomely delicious burger that comes with an outstanding view of south Maui coast line. The friendly community cats were a bonus :)

This gem has possibly the best burgers in the country. I ran across this free range ranch to table burger stand on the south west side of Maui. It 100% was the best burger I have ever had!!! Both of us had the black and blue with bacon. When I’m in Maui next I will definitely be back. The woman running the stand is also the most enjoyable person ever

Straight from the ranch, this is a very unique spot and the only thing on this side of the island for miles. Probably one of the best burgers you'll have and certainly the best best view while eating a burger.

Located on a ranch (Triple L) that raises the Delicious beef used in their burgers. Has a unique flavour because of the free ranging cattle over lava cinder fields. Most interesting place. Outdoor dining available on four picnic tables. Vistas on the ranch are spectacular.

The food was excellent and the view was incredible. We ordered the BBQ Bully and Spicy Bomb and neither of us had a complaint. Everything was cooked fresh and quickly. Plenty of options, affordable and one of the few places to get a good meal on this portion of the road to Hana.

After an amazing day on the Hana loop we stopped here for dinner. I can't stay enough about it. Incredible food, amazing views, crazy peaceful, super friendly and genuine, and some friendly critters roaming around. The burger was one of the best I've ever had!

Long time locals recommended this spot on the Loop tour to Hana and around Western Maui. The neighboring family farm raises this hyper-local farm stand to your plate beef. Along with sharing plenty of friendly aloha, the food was delicious. Sit on the horse saddles for a fun dining experience.

I just wanted to give a shout out and a big thank you for your help when we had a flat tire on our way back from Hana. It was around 730 at night and getting dark and you were kind enough to let us use your phone to call roadside assistance. Thankfully the car had ride a flat tires. They recommend you can go 50 miles at 50 mph. We had 57 miles and made it back safely. Next time we will buy food!!!

We found this place by accident. Or it found us as someone else had mentioned. We were coming back into Kihei from Hana and we were. We came around the corner and there it was. Marisa the owner was friendly, courteous, and nice. The burgers were the best I ever had. They graze their own grass fed beef. It was so good I had a second buger.

I can’t believe you’ve never been here. It’s a secret treasure on the backside of the road to Hana. We first found it while going to the Bee farm down the road. We were in the island for 46 days and ate there 3 times!!!! Yummy!!!!!

Amazing Burgers, great views, great prices, plenty of seating.... Consider the "Pay it Forward" option here, which feeds those in need by purchasing a meal or two .. cannot recommend this place enough !!!!

This place genuinely has great burgers at a far more reasonable price point than you’ll find pretty much anywhere else on the island. The other reviews that say this place is good are not joking. The place is pretty DIY - basically a shack and benches - but it honestly rules.

Our reverse road to Hana was cut short due to a landslide that blocked the roadway, but on the way back we took the time to stop on some of the sites we skipped and came back to Bully's to split a burger. The mushroom Swiss with wasabi sauce was fantastic. Shaved Ice definitely hit the spot. Was a wonderful place to stop and take in the views. The people were so friendly, I'd go back 100 times if I could!

Wir sind die Road to Hana nicht umgekehrt sondern über die Südseite des Haleakala zurück gefahren. Viel schöner und ursprünglicher. Es war Zufall das wir also bei Billy's Burger einen Stop eingelegt haben. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp!!! Seit 70 Jahren wird die Farm innerhalb der Familie betrieben. Man kann also sicher sein das nur Rind aus dem eigenen Haus auf dem Grill landet. Der Duft wenn der Grill belegt wird ist ein absoluter Traum. Die Burger selber, Weltklasse!!! Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen ob er von Hana oder sonst woher kommt hier einen Stopp einzulegen. Absolut top!!!

Go get you a cheeseburger in paradise. Worth the drive, either from the front or back side. Do it as a cap to your drive to Hana, or just make a special drive over. Excellent burger with an excellent view that supports local ranching.

You can't call this a burger joint. This is a gourmet experience. No exaggeration. From the drive there, to the location, to the incredible ranch raised meat that they serve here in different combinations. My daughter ate two hamburgers (big ones), and she doesn't like hamburgers. What an awesome memory!

Indeed surprising how good the food and the host is in this mighty joint. Can’t ignore the care and love for food the folks here put in. The burger tasted really fresh and very well made. Don’t forget to make a stop on your way out of the park.

My teenager found out about Bully's online, and convinced us to drive from Kihei. It was SO worth it! Scenery was amazing, but the food. Cooked fresh, served with a smile, and devoured by all of us with great enjoyment!

They have REALLY good burgers and a beautiful view! Friendly staff as well. Don't expect a fancy set up (but check out the "saddle seats" in one of the seating areas).

What an amazing burger!!! I had the Black and Bleu burgers, best I've had. My wife said the mushroom burger was to die for. Even my daughter claimed her grilled cheese was, "one hundred million billion times the best in the world" to quote a 5 year old. Worth the drive for a damn fine burger.

Great burgers and shaved ice. Check it out if you’re going to the winery or round rock beach. The food is all made super fresh. The person who haloed us was super nice and really wanted us to have a good experience. It’s a very beautiful drive. If you’re on this side of the island I’d highly recommend. Parking in back.

So this burger was so good my girlfriend wanted to eat half. So this is just half the burger and chips comes with couple of small pickles and some condiments. Honestly it does not need any condiments. The flavor is excellent. Your not going to get a better burger unless you kill it and grind it yourself. If you really want an excellent burger and a nice drive head out to bully's burgers. Just remember be courteous to the local drivers a lot of them are on a time frame. So pull over enjoy the view. It's all worth it.

Handmade from locally sourced ingredients, perfect chargrilled burger with crispy bacon. Pretty windy if you eat outside, so plan for that.

Great burger and service, you don't get much more fresh than right off the ranch.

Taste the Difference! You can taste the difference from fast food and even majority of high-end restaurant quality burgers. I recommend the Zach's Famous Grilled Cheese Burger with Bacon. However, if you want to really appreciate the meat, go with one of the specialty burgers. Definitely worth a stop if you're passing through or after a horseback ride. Just mind the other visitors- a pigeon who will literally steal your bacon off your burger while it's in your hand. The cat is a welcome company and loves your attention.
