It's okay but grumpy people work there

Great little hole in the wall !

I'm from utah just visiting and this place blew me away I don't leave reviews but I felt the need to say the prices are amazing. Portions astounding. A must come for sure 👌

The food is good, and it's priced good to. It's small so expect to wait for a table. They usually only have one waitress and she's busy busy busy so understand that. It's a hole in the wall kinda place. If your not an impatient person and enjoy good food your headed to the right place. I like the fish and chips, wife loves the brisket Mac. They do have breakfast and the chicken and waffles are good. They do like bacon alot at this place so expect to see it in alot of dishes (win if you eat bacon, my family do not eat pork so we ask for it to not be added) they also like Chipotle alot and it's added everything from sour cream to coleslaw (I like it so win). It's got a well used feeling to it but that's part of its hole in the wall charm. Check it out if your ever in the Vally and looking for something good.

GREAT STAFF,AND FOOD, the prices are EXCELLENT! The little burger meal is the best value,and best burger especially for the price. Parks Highway Chili Burger is awesome! Everything I have had off the menu has been MORE, than worth every penny!

The salt and pepper shakers look like they have never been cleaned. The metal seat post hat racks were also filthy. I got a chicken and waffle and it was drenched in syrup and super soggy.

Overall good experience for a small town cafe.

So far everything I've ever tried at Cadillac cafe was very good. The cook knows what he's doing and makes everything very delicious! I am so in love with the raspberry vinaigrette that comes on the wild berry salad that I want to buy it by the bottle and keep it in my fridge!

Ordered a smothered breakfast burrito. If you're from the Southwest, burritos are smothered in red or green chili. Up North, they're smothered in white gravy - so don't be alarmed. Food was filling, coffee strong, service good (1 server for the whole restaurant, be patient) All in all, it's a good place to put your feedbag on and enjoy. I'm updating this review as there will be days when service is less than acceptable. New server I never saw before blamed the bad food (half the fries were inedible) as them being shorthanded! This place has only 7 tables and they weren't busy. C'mon. You NEVER complain to your customers that way. It's an excuse. Period.

I have lived all over the globe and you’re lucky if you can discover such a gem as this! Went here on my birthday and I was soooo spoiled! Everything on the menu is cooked from scratch and with plenty of tender love and care. Hole in the wall? Yep. Best food ever?? YEP!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

The fish and chips were excellent! The waitress Jema was super friendly! She came to check on multiple times! The pizza was delicious too. I would highly recommend this place. Affordable and good food.

Just had lunch there again today 5/16/24 and their kenai crack chicken sandwich on sourdough bread was so damn good! Its a wellworn little diner that could use a deep clean but it has some of the best food. Year after year the Cadillac Cafés brisket w mac n cheese and coleslaw is the best in the valley, period. Lots of other yummy food but their brisket is what keeps me coming back.

Smothered Egg Breakfast was good, even the sausage gravy was done well. The eggs Benedict on the mini pizza dough was not good. The undercooked mini pizza dough was not a good substitute for an english muffin and the hollandaise tastes off.

Best server ever... Customers were friendly, too. She didn't know I'd just arrived to Alaska the day before, for my retirement celebration long awaited travel to the state and it was my 62nd birthday. I had an appitizer (to go)... INCREDIBLE homemade crab dip and bread. Best halibut fish and chips I've ever eaten. The portions were a plenty. I ended up ordering a homemade fudgy brownie (also to go... but I ate half)! In my year long travel, home base in Wasilla, I WILL be back often!!! Thank you for making my arrival and special day wonderful...

It's in the same building as the speedway Express across from the liquor store give it a shot it's a good place. Best cheeseburger ever!!!

We ordered delivery and it was awesome! Food was delicious and delivered fast!

Tempura broccoli breading was heavy, greasy, fell off, and too salty. sauce flavor was good. salmon chowder was way too thick, no salmon, little flacor, and used imitation bacon buts. berry pie and homemade ice cream was great.

The pizza is superb, the poutine is dang good. The tacos are bland. Excellent service. It's very drafty, not recommended in very cold weather they need to upgrade the heating unit. Best pizza I've had in the valley.

Sometimes, you just get a hankering for something to eat. In my case, it was a calzone. In years past, I ordered calzone from the local Italian restaurant, which had been good. However, I wanted to see what options were available in the greater Wasilla area. This is how I came to become a Cadillac Cafe customer. i searched and read numerous reviews from various area offerings. The more I searched, the more my hankering grew. It was the Cadillac Cafe's reviews, along with easy access that led me to my first experience. I ordered the Cowboy Calzone. I was not disappointed! The bread was freshly made, the stuffed ingredients were plentiful, and the accompanying sauce, all added up to a delicious experience. BTW, I ordered by phone for pick-up. I was so impressed with my first experience, it was several weeks to a month later and I had to discover if the Cowboy Calzone was a one-off or consistent taste. I will share the second order was as good as the first. My birthday came about a month ago. I had another hankering. This time it was a Philly Cheesesteak. Again, i searched the greater Wasilla area options and chose the Cadillac Cafe given my previous positive experience. As in prior orders, I called my order in over the phone for pick-up. I let the person taking my order know that I wanted the Philly Cheesesteak. I do not know if it was a joke that went over my head, or simply a matter of fact, and I was asked if I wanted cheese with the order. I was a tad taken back, however undaunted. You know, a Philly Cheesesteak has cheese in it's name. So, naturally, I said yes, cheese please. I was informed cheese is extra, and what kind did I want. Well, I had a hankering and was not going to be deterred. I did not ask how much more. Then I was asked what kind of cheese did I want. I mentioned mozzarella. That was not an option. Ok, so I had to ask what were my options. The person taking my order went through the available options. I was still back at "do you want cheese with that, and by the way. it is extra". Anyway, I asked what did the person taking my order recommend. I was told Swiss. OK, Swiss it is. As with my two previous visits to the Cadillac Cafe, I was informed an approximate time when my order would be ready. I live down KBG a ways, and the timing worked out well. It is probably useful to know, I placed my order around 4:00 PM. I cannot speak to other times of the day. However, since it was my birthday, I was not done ordering. I had read stellar reviews of their Seafood Fettucine. I realized my order was way more than a single person of average BMI would consume. Nonetheless, I also ordered the Seafood Fettucine. The Seafood Fettucine was slightly disappointing because the seafood was on the skimpy side, in my opinion. On the other hand, the fettucine was done to perfection, and the sauce was yummy. I don't know if I will order that item again. As for the Philly Cheesesteak, it came with homemade fries, and both were delicious. I may order that item again in the future. The Cowboy Calzone is most likely to be ordered again in the future. In summary, I recommend the Cadillac Cafe based upon the menu items I have tasted. The people who work there are pleasant to interact with, the place appeared clean, and while the location has been mentioned in other reviews as somewhat peculiar, a visit to the Cadillac Cafe is worth it if you are a local or visitor.

Good service. I had a steak taco. Plenty of food, seasoned well. No sides which seemed odd though. They had wood fired pizza that looked great. Have a hot brownie w ice cream for desert all for 20 dollars.

Had this restaurant for the second time. My mistake was ordering the chili Burger, Waitress gave me empty ketchup. Bottles that to use what was left in them and quickly rushed us out the door.

The people were amazing, and the food was spectacular. I absolutely love being able to watch them bake right in front of me. I loved how the meat in the gyro practically melted in my mouth 😍. My mom absolutely loved their hot turkey club, and their fries were delicious. It felt like an old Italian mom and pop shop. The staff were so fun to chat with. There were these teenage boys who had the best conversations with my mom and I. And it felt like a slice of home if I'm to be honest. If I ever have the chance to go again, I most definitely will and stay longer. AND EAT THE PIE!!! Seriously, the pie looked picture perfect, with a flaky crust and well-made fillings. If I could have, I would have bought the whole pie and devoured it as I talked to the staff. Even if I don't have the money to purchase food, I'd just hang around for the lovely staff and just chat, and I don't think I'd actually be asked to leave until the store was well and closed. 10/10 will go again.

Hands down BEST food in Alaska! Its unbelievably good. We had tacos,hamburger and a burrito, amazing! Returned for breakfast. Everything is homemade ..with care and its over the top good. My wife is a finicky eater and she LOVES their food. .,.and prices beat even fast food We will work our way through the menu. It is a small seating area but pickup and take it somewhere else. Great service and delicious food 😋

I came here alone looking for a good birthday lunch and honestly I’m glad I came here. I’m not the biggest fan of the fries but everything was hot and fresh and I’ve never seen better prices. Keep in mind I started eating before I took these pictures, and ate half of my appetizer beforehand.

WOW! This little hole in the wall gem is well worth the drive from Anchorage to try. Our waitress Danielle was hustling all over the place and was so sweet and friendly. There are about 8 booths in this small little cafe attached to a gas station but they put out incredible food. We had the smoked salmon chowder and the french dip that actually has home made from the meat au jus and not some bottled fake stuff. Both items were excellent and the prices good for the huge quantity provided. I took home the curry salad and it was full of romaine, cashews, red grapes and chicken. The dressing was so good and I would love to have the recipe. We also took home one of their homemade pieces of pie-apple and cherry combo with a crumble topping that was very big and good enough for two meals and was delicious. We will be back again!

We had the fish and chips. We're not so sure the fish was halibut. If it was then it was old, or could have been cod. Too much batter, and over cooked. The fries were a little over cooked too. Usually, the fish and chips are really good.

Found this and it was a delight. Large menu to choose from. We had the avocado ham burger and chipotle chicken tacos. Both were delicious! Awesome waitress!! The fire brick pizzas looked delicious as well as the homemade pies. Very reasonably priced!

I’m glad we read the reviews and stopped to eat lunch at Cadillac Cafe! Had passed it while visiting Wasilla this week and wondered if a place in a gas station could be that good. Note it is only attached to the station, separate space and entrance. Our lunch was not only delicious, but our server was SO Nice and attentive. Obvious that she truly cared that her customers have a great experience. Had the poutine appetizer, Cadillac Special halibut burrito, and the Halibut tacos, which were all great, all for under $35. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem! Highly recommended by long time locals for a reason! Don't let the fact that it's attached to a gas station fool you! Everything has been really, really good. Pictured is their halibut and chips and well worth the money. Wish they were bigger and needed more tartar sauce but it was 💯! At this seating we had also ordered chicken (not)fingers, lol, they were HUGE!

You can order anything on their menu and it is delicious!! They also have pies that are made in house which are absolutely amazing! You can order a slice or you can purchase a whole pie to take home! They have a regular foods menu and then they also have a pizza menu! The staff is always super friendly and they are also quick and efficient! Love this restaurant and will always go back as long as they are in business!!

We stopped here for lunch and it was a little busy but not bad. Our food was excellent and arrived fairly quickly. The service was great. Prices are extremely reasonable also. We had a brownie which was really good. We bought a cookie to go and it was strange for a chocolate chip cookie-like a sugar cookie with some chips on the top. Eating it the next day was not a good idea-it was way too dry and hard to eat. Would definitely return.

Really great food! The shrimp and cheesy grits are aaammmmaazzzing. Sometimes service is a bit slow if they are busy, but all and all a great place to eat.

I have said this was my favorite restaurant in Wasilla for years. However, today our experience was horrible! It took over a half hour just to get drinks, which I can understand because they were full and seemed to be short staffed. Then 3 out of 4 plates had hair wrapped around the French fries. We noticed the first ones as soon as the plates were set down, but it was on top so I took the fry away from my daughter and decided to let it slide. Then about half way through our meal we kept finding more. They comped the meals, but it was a huge turn off, especially since our waitress was rude and unapologetic for the wait and then the hair.

Garlic knot was the best. Danielle was the best server.

I have always loved this place! Great food, small diner feel, and friendly staff. My personal favorite is the Bangladesh Chicken Curry Salad. But honestly, I have enjoyed everything I've eaten here. If you go, be sure to give the owner, James aka Boss, a hard time! 😆😉

Portions have been getting smaller and prices getting higher for years. Recently ordered a small pizza. They charged almost 4 dollars to trade one meat for another. That was more that 25% of what the original pizza cost🙄

This place has changed very little in the seven years since I was here last, which is a good thing. They do their menu very well and run a good kitchen in the back.

Excellent food! We tried (and loved) the halibut tacos, salmon chowder, halibut burrito, seafood gumbo with fried chicken on top, side salad, and broccoli starter. We are planning on coming back here soon!

Lived in wasilla for years and drove by this place often and a friend and I decided to give it a try. We were glad we did. He had the salmon chowder which he Said was amazing. We both had Philly cheese steaks which were delicious as well and very flavorful. Will definitely go back to try some other items that sounded great also.

I picked this place out of a tourism guide. It was claiming to have the best burgers in town. Sadly, it took almost an hour to get our food - - and we had a one year old with us! The staff was very friendly and efficient, but if that's the best burger in town, it must be the only burger in town. Sadly, would not recommend.

Would love to eat here but they are not open when they say they are online and with only 8 tables it’s rare you can get a seat-it’s unfortunate because they have really good food

Absolutely filthy ! Food was gross 🤮 wouldn’t have been able to enjoy anything if it was good because of the non stop complaining of server to other guests and us about water and condiments never going back first and last time zero stars ⭐️

Absolutely AWESOME! Gema is the server and saleswoman fir this hidden Gem. I would lable it as a Dive, as its a hole in the wall connected to a speedway gas station. However, it was probably our best meal in Alaska. My Bride had the Salmon tacos, and the fish chunks were large enough to be served on their own, and superb -- I got a taste from her. My sister-in-law had the burger, and was unable to finish it due to size, not taste; she stated it was great. A friend had the Brisket, and it almost made me regret not getting it. Cooked and seasoned to perfection, and again an very generous portion. She kept raving on how good it was. I got the 12" meat pizza with mushrooms and onions added. One of the best pizza's I ever had. Gema said the cook uses his own recipes (including pizza dough) and takes pride in his food; I definitely concur. Prices very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Great food and prices! Always a wait but worth it. If you want quick food don't bother. This place is worth the wait! Trig keeps this place running for the locals and he doesn't have to stay open. Keep it fun for the crew here in Chugiak so they stay open.

The only place in the valley that you can get a real breakfast burrito from. They are made with fresh ingredients and are simply delicious! you never have to worry about the frozen reheated sausage, or eggs. one of my favorite breakfast places.

Don’t you hate it when you go grocery shopping while you’re hangry? Cadillac Café saved my heart from having high blood pressure, and I left with a smile on my face. I highly recommend stopping at this place if you’re in the area. Must try: seafood chowder, Buffalo sliders, twisted bread sticks, salmon tacos, and of course — the delicious pie. All of the desserts, buns, bread, and pizza crust are all made in house and are delicious! Gema is an amazing delightful server. She made our experience feel very fun and enjoyable.

If you're looking for a warm inviting place to eat. This is it. The waitress was super nice and friendly and the food was out of this world. One of the best hidden places to eat in Alaska.

Beautiful little place. I grew up eating here, and love the food. It's very family friendly, and has a wide variety of food options. (Personally I suggest the chicken and waffles:)) ) the staff are very kind as well :)

I went there last Sunday and freaked out for a minute because it said they were closed. Upon closer inspection I saw it said, "for Easter". Phew! That was close. They have consistantly served good food there since they opened. The brisket is so good and the mac n cheese they serve with it is a happy spot even on your lowest day. The fish taco are super yummy and the calzone is scrumptious. I can't remember one thing I've had there I would love to have again.

While I enjoyed the quaint eccentric atmosphere of the restaurant, the food was disappointing to me as I found hair in my salad, and the soup was cold. The two menu items are the salmon chowder and the strawberry pecan grape fruit salad.

Small and awesome. Friendly staff and great fresh food. Cheese sticks were hand battered, burgers were juicy and could be made to order, buns and fries I suspect were house made too. With all this attention to the quality of food, you'd expect the prices to be high...but nope!
