I've loved this place for years and it's still just as good as it always was. The food is delicious

I like this place. Nicely presented cuppacino and croissants. Comfortable. The bakery is interesting with different from the norm goods.

I really enjoyed the place. Sunday afternoon was not busy and serving time was pretty fast. Dish size is perfect to eat. I wish burger buns were made in house, this is why I gave one star less, but I can recommend the place 😊 thank you very much

I love European food, but I've often found the service in Serbian restaurants to be lacking. However, that wasn't the case here! The service was exceptional—both friendly and professional. It's hard to decide whether the food or the service was better. Additionally, they offered a great selection of drinks.

The best Serbian food that we’ve ever had!

Dishonest business, added a lot more to the tip. Food is alright, not the taste you would have in Serbia. Karadjordjeva breading is terrible, dry and bland, cucumber in Serbian salad barely edible.

Had a wonderful pea soup, very tasty. Service was great, they helped me with any questions that I had. The told me the food was native to Serbia.

Definitely not the place to get anything authentic. The cevapi tasted like frozen breakfast sausage links, the shopska salad was fine. Overall over priced and low quality. Positives: clean and comfortable atmosphere.

Great little unique place! Serbian is not a cuisine you come around often so it's so cool that this place exists to try a new cuisine. Get the Cheese Burek, you'll be tempted to get the beef because cheese only couldn't be filling, guess again! Great portion size and it's so delicious! Also get yourself a serbian beer, Lav is great!

Awesome food in a very European setting. We got a nice little platter for all our grill entrees we ordered and it was all tasty and cooked well. The chivapchichi and sausages are really good and available for purchase from the market next door. Cakes are really good too. I do wish that they had mustard in a container instead of just packets, it’s a bit annoying opening those individually.

This was our first time at Cafe Beograd. It's interesting little spot with a trendy atmosphere and a grocery store attached. The service was friendly and helpful. We ordered the BG Meze to start, it was delicious. Then we split the Karadjordjes schnitzel and the spinach and cheese burek which was also delicious. The best part was how well timed all the food came out. Will be going back.

Server Nemanja try to charge me 66 $ for my meal that was 34 $. The waiter Nemanja tried to charge me 66 dollars for pizza burek and cevapa which cost 34 dollars I will never come back to this place and I will tell everyone I know in Chicago about this. I left a $6 tip by mistake, only later did I find out what he tried to do.

My friend and I had a great time! We enjoyed the delicious desserts and coffee at the café. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress, Valentina, was especially nice and helped us with our order. I highly recommend this café to anyone who wants to try the best desserts 👌

I came to Chicago for the first time from Detroit with my family and I was not familiar with the terrain. I have to tell you that we had a great time at Caffe Beograd, the food was great, we didn't know what to eat from local food but there were no problems, Zeljana is she was there to help us and recommended what we could do, and I can tell you that we wouldn't have made a better choice than her. You must stop by, especially if you don't live in Chicago, feel the real Balkans at Caffe Beograd and you'll feel right at home. Thank you. Ordered my favorite Beoberger. The berger looked horrible! The bread was old! Lettuce was very old, meat was NOT cooked! It was horrible! Fries were good! Serves was amazing as always! I went hungry and left hungry! I will not go back again!

First time going here and as a 3rd gen Serbian I was thrilled! Great food and great service, atmosphere was cool hearing the language from both servers and customers.

Authentic Serbian delights! For those who don't know, that means fresh, subtle flavors that taste so good. I had the 16oz Ribeye steak with the Shopska salad. The steak was beautifully marbled and grilled to medium rare perfection! The salad was clean and crisp. Yum!

We drove by and saw the mural on the side of the building and decided to try it out. We were not disappointed! The cevapi, kajmak, burek, palacinke and Jafa cake made us feel like we were back in Europe. Great service and atmosphere too! If you love Serbia, Bosnia, or Croatia you will love this restaurant. We will be back!!

We actually ended up here because another similar place closed earlier than what it said online and I m so glad it was like that! Everything was soo tasty and perfect!! Everything seems to be made homemade and they use quality ingredients because it tastes amazing, we were so full in the best way! We also got the potato burek and it was fresh, crunchy outside , soft inside and big portion too! ( we kept some for the next day and it was still perfect) Totally recommend if you re craving eastern european food, this is the place to try!!

Five stars! Could not recommend this place enough. I went with two others and we got three entrees and two appetizers to share. It was all phenomenal. The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting, and the service was wonderful. So far, this is the best food I've had in Chicago.

If you are a nostalgic Serb missing some food from home, you've found the right place. The cevapi and palacinke (with eurocrem 🤤) were especially good.

After a concert the night before, Cafe Beograd had us taken care of! Amazing food, amazing service, and a warm inviting atmosphere. I had a Baileyness and a sweet crepe and they were fab!! Thank you for having us and I can't wait to come back!!!

Amazing food, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere makes this restaurant the best one in the city. If you have never tried serbian food before this place is going to make you the biggest fan of it! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Food was so delicious! Service was terrible! Our server didn’t check is everything fine, he came by himself to charge us, we didn’t even want to finish with dinner at that time. They closed at 10:45 even if it says that is open until midnight. I gave 1 star only because of the food..

Place was a tad dark in lighting? but the food made up for it. Got the Mixed Sampler plate that was super good. For starters we got the Shopska that was also very good. The BG Meze was not my thing, but my friend loved it cuz of the smoked meat. But if you ask me it was a little to salty for my taste.

First time trying Serbian food and they were great! Definitely coming back to try other dishes. They have a cozy and chill vibe and there’s also a connected store selling imported good. Pretty cool place.

Authentic Serbian ćevapi & pljeskavica

We came with no expectations and left very full. Nice enough servers but communication was a slight issue. They only had 3 of the 5 or 6 European beers….. nothing dark. The wine was fine but pricey per glass. We shared a cheese burek as an appetizer for four and it was more than enough….of the same thing. It had a tasty phyllo dough crust, warm delicious cheese but no taste to speak of….. could’ve used any kind of sauce but it’s probably not authentic that way. I asked about the schnitzel wrapped around Canadian bacon with cheese which my wife was considering. My wife ordered it and I ordered the chicken skewer. She brought two of the schnitzels….. lost in translation. Our friends enjoyed their chicken schnitzel and pork Marsala. The fries were hot and tasty too. We sat in the back room and other than having all the kitchen traffic and door, it was fine. The bar area had lots of high boys and a few tables. It was moderately full but not crowded. Not too noisy but all TVs were on tennis while some really good basketball tournament play could’ve been on one screen. It was a nice evening but I’d probably try another similar restaurant for variety.

This was my 2nd time here, and it's always good to be back. The food was delicious, and portions are huge ( keep that in mind). Stuff is friendly and polite. We were joking and laughing at our table all the time hopefully staff didn't take it in the wrong way. Ово ми је био други пут овде, и увек је лепо вратити се. Храна је била укусна, а порције огромне (имајте то на уму). Особље је љубазно и пријатно. Шалили смо се и смејали све време за нашим столом, надамо се да запослени нису схватили на погрешан начин. We enjoy our time in café beograd is one of out recurrent place to visited. They have a variety of plates for any time of the day and the best for us is the schedule open early and close late. The prices are affordable and the food is good portions We love the fresh cabbage salad , the bread is amazing the vegetarian pizza one of my favorites,and the mix plate, also they have a very tempting desserts.

I was a customer for this place for a long time. I go always with my work colleague. I usually enjoy the steak, medium well done. Tonight, we were there but disappointed with the service. We ordered the steak, medium well done, but when it arrived it was raw. The waitress took it back, and when she returned the steak was burnt. At the end of the night, the bill was messed up. I paid with tip, $165, and it wasn't worth it because I didn't enjoy my food and service. The point I want to say, as an Asian woman, and my work colleague not being American either. I saw a difference in service due to our race, and I will not be returning. I wasted my time , money and I am disappointed.

The best Serbian food in town!!

Late night dinner, food was temperature warm, fresh and delicious. Their xmas decor was simple but very nice. Our waiter was friendly and recommended delicious options to share. We had mixed platter, shopska salad and spinach and cheese pie. Took pie home as other two dishes were plenty. Will go back.

I really enjoyed my visit here. The staff is very friendly and gives great recommendations for food. I think I had a meat pie with a bottle of yogurt on the side, it was very tasty. The portions are big, took the rest of the food home. I would recommend the savory crapes, get it with tomatoes, very good. They have a small grocery store attached, they sell desserts, check it out!
