Cafe L'Europe was one of my favourite restaurants. This time around, the food was atrociously bad. My beef short rib was clearly microwaved, the meat was both dry and tasted boiled at the same time. The fries were cooked in old vegetable oil, and tasted of canola. The tomato tartare tasted like a tube of tomato paste with some mayonnaise on top. Honestly I did not touch my plate, I paid for it, left and will never go back. It's a shame, it was once the best of the best and I had high hopes given the head chef of Jean-Pierre joined (who used to have the best ribs). Service was fine (nobody once questioned why I hadn't touched my plate), place beautiful, but food was below mediocre.

First time in my life I had “lumpy” bernaise sauce with my chateaubriand. It looked like mashed potatoes.

What a lovely experience. Ramsay was welcoming & delightful. The food & service was impeccable. Thank you Antonia, your smile & attentiveness were appreciated. We started with the Scottish Salmon & special of Lobster Chowder. Best Salmon I've ever had & my wife was smiling with every spoon of her chowder. We ordered the duck & the dover sole and were very impressed with the size of the plate and the flavors going on. I asked for the carrot puree recipe as it complimented the duck so perfectly. We ended with the chocolate souffle as we saw reviews of this mentioned multiple times. Worthy to talk about for sure! The wine list was extensive and the atmosphere just what we expected, elegant. We will be back!

Deserves 5 stars. The staff was fantastic, with none of the drama you can find in some of the newer places in Palm Beach.

So yucky 🤢 sat here with my sister and we were currently checked up on and even given advice for how to eat pasta?! Treated like my sister and I like outsiders! 😰 NOT KID FRIENDLY AT ALL ! it was so expensive too for what?

Top 10 restsurant in Palm Beach by far. The atmosphere is old school Palm Beach. The menu has anything you want and each dish is tremendous & The service is excellent. Only 1 BIG negative for me … there was a guy wearing shorts sitting at the bar .. who had a sports jacket on. What? They allow guys wearing shorts in ? I don’t care if he owns the Breakers .. shorts shouldn’t be allowed. It’s not a pizza joint. We finished with the chocolate soufflé, awesome ! Other than that it’s a must visit when in town for a great Sat night dinner.

There is nothing wrong with Cafe Europa, but there isn't anything special about it either. The look and feel of the place is roughly the same as any other nice restaurant in PB. The food is good, but not exceptional. I'm not sure why they smother an excellent filet cut with heavy sauce. Also, I'm pretty sure I got a bug from the tuna tartar that made me sick the next day. The waitress was wonderful, very caring and attentive to my mom on her birthday. I feel like they need to level-up to match their prices, and make sure the tuna is really fresh.

The good - excellent and attentive service by the waitstaff except they stopped refilling the water glasses after our appetizer course. The not so good - the filet mignon was the toughest piece of $65 meat I have ever tried to eat. I know inflation has clobbered food costs, but… And the accompanying block of scalloped potatoes was ice cold. Could have been a more pleasant experience!

Amazing experience and great food

It used to be the most elegant and beautiful restaurant of Palm Beach. Not anymore. They ruined it! After remodeling, it is now a big open space with white walls, laminate floors, awful cheap-looking blue dining chairs, and a huge round white neon-lit modern bar. That being said, ideal for singles to meet and mingle... The dining room is COLD (ladies: bring a wrap to wear over that nice little dress), LOUD (be prepared to shout at each other - floors need to be carpeted), and BRIGHT (what happened to candle lit atmosphere?). Dishes are served barely warm. Wait staff is missing sophistication and refinement. MENU Dessert souffle: mushy inside

WHEN WE ARRIVED THE MAITRE D' OR OWNER, NOT SURE OF HIS TITLE WALKED US TO THE FURTHEST TABLE IN THE RESTAURANT, ONE OF OUR FOURSOME FACING THE WALL. WOW!!! Best food, best Chef, best servers and best valets in town still in top 3 Restaurants in the USA for sure. Our reviews had over 36 million views last year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Cafe L'Europe. Food is beyond compare. She had the lobster risotto that has a full lobster over wonderful risotto and caviar. I had the wiener schnitzel which was just divine. Red cabbage was sweet like sugar candy. I had the snails app and she had the cold artichoke. Hers came with a really nice warm sauce layered into the center of the artichoke and I ended up eating half of it because it was so good. We had 3 desserts. Lava cake was hot with melted dark chocolate center and great ice cream. Grand Marnier soufle was light and sweet and really yummy. Flaming crepes were really great too. Lots of great stars in the joint that night and a great piano player who is blind and can barely walk, but boy can he drive a piano. Really classy. Wife had a nice dress to wear but we had errands in advance so she did not have time to put it on. Was going to change on site but they said no need. Most men had on jackets, in fact I think they all did. One of the best places we have eaten at all year. Top notch all the way. Check out all of our reviews. We went with friends last night. We hadn’t been there in a few years after a bad experience. The place has been renovated and looks wonderful. Our server was pleasant and professional. I always drink a lot of water and my water glass was constantly being refilled which made me happy. The food was excellent even the bread. We all had something different from appetizers to desserts. The presentations were very nice. My wife had a salad she enjoyed and I had a nice burrata and tomato. For mains she enjoyed her branzino and I liked my filet mignon. I ordered a nice California cab to go with dinner l For dessert she had the sorbet and I had an excellent chocolate soufflé. It’s in Palm Beach so don’t go and complain about the price. Have a great meal and enjoy yourself.

Outstanding venue, exquisite cuisine with meticulous attention to details, even in the branded butter, and above all, the enchanting live music from the renowned pianist who consistently amazes. Absolutely terrific thanksgiving dinner with family!

Disappointed by them not offering prix fixe menu on their website. An alternative 3 course meal was offered( that was not posted and not offering us any other choice) when asked about it they said the web site changes the menu every 2 weeks but thats not what was posted also a mosquito kept buzzing around and biting us. Nice ambience though. So 3 stars.

First time dining here and it will not be the last amazing service and food - we took advantage of the summer fixed price dinner menu ($65) but added soufflé and exceptional wine by the glass offerings, We will be back next time in Palm Beach

DIFFICULT NO LONGER WE ARRIVED ON TIME FOR OUR 6:30 RESERVATION, GREETED WARMLY AND TAKEN RIGHT TO OUR TABLE THE RESTAURANT HAS BEEN RENOVATED AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL AS WE SAT DOWN, LO AND BEHOLD WAS A COVERED BREAD BASKET WITH 4 VARIETIES OF WARM BREAD…BUTTER AND PESTO SAUCE ON THE TABLE A SERVICE OF THE PAST IF YOU HAVE BEEN DINING OUT RECENTLY.. I ORDERED THE SPECIAL , LIVER AND ONIONS COOKED TO PERFECTION AND DELICIOUS.. If you want to feel like royalty and have a taste of heaven, Cafe L'Europe is the place to be! Their food is so amazing that you'll forget your name, and their service is so fantastic that you'll think you're in a dream. But hold on tight to your wallet because this restaurant is expensive! However, trust me, it's worth every penny. Just make sure you make a reservation, or you might end up having to fight for a table with a bunch of hungry alligators. Yes, that's right, alligators! I saw one trying to sneak in for a bite of their famous steak au poivre, but the staff kicked him out before he could even order a glass of water. So, if you want to avoid getting eaten alive by an alligator and enjoy some of the best food in town, head to Cafe L'Europe!

I have gone to cafe Europa for the last 8 years for my birthday with friends birthdays Last night my children surprised me by calling from NC ordering a bottle of champagne for the table. The presentation of this gift was so disappointing. Glasses were served and the bottle was poured but no one knew why not even our server. Nothing was said at all that it was a gift. I went to the man in charge he said it was from someone named Deb That was it. A restaurant as beautiful and expensive as this should have done something after that It’s so easy to please customers. A dessert with a candle would have been nice Last time for me celebrating any occasion Even the piano player played happy birthday for someone but not for me with the dessert we ordered. What an awful presentation of a beautiful thoughtful gift

We started coming here in 2010 and it seemed like things dipped a little but now Cafe l'Europe is back and better than ever. Fabulous food and service + delicious cocktails. Notably the tomato tartare is a surprise starter dish and the veal is always first class.

Beautiful decor, a pianist in the background makes for a very romantic setting. Be sure to dress appropriately in Palm Beach style. Food is classic French with a few modern touches. All dishes are well prepared and enjoyable but few are memorable or exciting. Prices are very high.

We are big foodies, have eaten in many fine dining establishments, and are accomplished cooks. The manager, Ramsey, our waitress and valets were very nice and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. .The apps of tuna tartar, fois gras, and salad with endive, arugula and gorgonzola cheese were great. We both ordered the duck which was awful and Was way over cooked. We returned both plates and the replacements were so undercooked they were blue, the confit was extremely dry, and the while meal was unflavorful and just did not taste good. There was no seasoning in the puréed carrots or the potatoes. They initially charged us for both dinners until we pointed out that one meal was basically untouched and the other had just a few more bites taken. We asked for them to be removed from our bill but were still charged for one. Don’t think we will return.

My favorite restaurant. For anybody who Chez Jean-Pierre, many who worked there moved over here after he sadly passed. But it’s always been an amazing restaurant. Amazing!

Excellent food, service, and ambience. A true Palm Beach staple.

My boyfriend got bad food poisoning dining there which is very unusual for him( he had Chicken Milanese that comes with arugula salad and fries) I had short rib bolognese which tasted fine but was very oily so I couldn’t even finish it. Appetizers were great! 5 hours later my boyfriend was deeply sick with nausea, vomiting, fever and frequent trips to the bathroom. My frustration reached a boiling point when we had to cancel our flight home because he was unable to leave the bed for 48 hours after. The lack of empathy that was shown was ridiculous. We tried to call the manager (Sergio Cuadros) over the past two days with no call back from him. Finally he called back two days later when my boyfriend was almost recovered. He showed no genuine sympathy, no apology, and basically told us he could not do nothing to resolve the situation. I’m never looking for a free meal but for my boyfriend to lay by the toilet sick. Miss our flight NY that we had to pay extra to have moved back. Missing two days of work on top of all that and not even try to make a positive resolution out of the situation is a absolute joke!!! Anyone else who gets food poisoning from this place immediately go to the emergency room and have it document maybe something will be done then.

This is a beautiful restaurant taken over by new owners. The food was well prepared and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I ended with a chocolate soufflé that was perfectly cooked. The service is excellent. We will happily return.It is on the expensive side but I don’t mind that since everything is well executed. The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating. They aim to please.

Cafe L'Europe delivers first class service along with a wonderful selection of delicious food to please everyone's palate. The soups are amazing, and the main entrees are out of this world! My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal, and were seated next to the extremely talented and beautiful pianist and singer performing that night named Amandah Jantzen. WE LOVED HER!! We had such a great evening enjoying fantastic food, listening to Amandah play wonderful music, and soaking up the fabulous atmosphere! You will love your experience that this magical restaurant offers!!

Please take this review with a grain of salt since we dined here on thanksgiving day. Usually restaurants falter on or doing holidays. It’s such a beautiful place, that it hurts me to give it only 3 stars. Food was just average to poor. Couldn’t finish any of the dishes. I hope to come back soon and change the review.

From the host Bruce Ramsey making you feel special when you arrive till you have that final bite of dessert, you get 5 star service. I had the Sea Bass it is always delicious followed with Grand Marnier Soufflé it's hard to share because its sooooo.... good!

we have been going to "CaféL'Europe" for many years and never have been disappointed. Yes indeed, it is a high end" French Restaurant" but worth it. We celebrated our 52nd Wedding anniversary at "CaféL'Europe" .. We were greeted by Mâitre d' Mr. Ramsey and our server was Nathalie P. very professional people who know their profession well. The entire meal was simply superb - see my photos- . The ambiance of the Restaurant is very pleasant, on certain evenings there will be a Piano Player. The Food is outstanding and so is the presentation. The service is impeccable. We enjoy eating at the CaféL'Europe" and can recommend it very highly. For the price of the food you'd think you would get a mind blowing meal. However, the food was just mediocre in my opinion.

Delicious! Worth it. Loved first course and main but dessert is where it’s at. Came here for the soufflé and it didn’t not disappoint. Highly recommend. Also, the tuxedo key lime pie is a must try! Never had anything like it and it was excellent.

My French friends gulp their pride: food, ambience, maitre d' service - "better than many best of Paris," I was once told. A devotee since the mid-70's, it's my neighborhood retreat. Compared with its competition, it's like going from dirge to jazz! Staffed with chefs who are hands-on managers: every aspect considered: quality, preparation and presentation, for every item on the menu. For over 40 years, I've never been disappointed. For some, it may seem to be a so-called "place to be seen," but it's much, much more!

The atmosphere was fine. Service was fine. Food portions were obscenely large which I am guessing was to justify the high prices. The food was really average. Check for 4 with no alcohol was almost $500. I get that food prices have increased but it just wasn't worth it.

Cafe L'Europe is a Palm Beach classic! The food is fantastic, David the piano player is incredible, the bar tenders are the best on the island and the entire staff is professional and warm. It's not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for!!

Excellent welcoming service. Beautiful space. Lovely range of items on menu. Tuna Tartare and Grand Marnier Souffle were beyond excellent.

Dinner was what exactly what I was expecting given the reviews online. The restaurant was upscale and people were dressed accordingly. Men were mainly in jackets, but some were in t shirts, shorts and much more casual than I expected. Will leave my jacket at home next time. We were seated immediately with a reservation and I will say that the noise level is quite loud. If you’re looking for quiet conversation then skip this place. The food was very good all around. The Caesar salad was a bit lackluster for the price but the escargot and tuna appetizers were spot on. Main courses of filet and duck were also very good. While I’ve had better, I haven’t had any better in Palm Beach. The chocolate soufflé for dessert was okay but for the price I would skip it as it wasn’t amazing. Overall, I’m glad that I finally tried this restaurant and we will certainly be back.

3 Es Exceptional Excellent Exquisite

We had dined here years ago and wanted to return this trip. Our reservation, greeting, seating and service was all terrific. Loved the piano player. The menu had a range of options and we were pleased. Would definitely return.

One of the WORST meals in years. Artichokes were water-logged, which made the dipping sauce even more runny and bland than it already was. Both endive salads were literally inedible and had to be sent back to the kitchen. While the waitress was appropriately apologetic and thanked for the feedback, the manager seemed disinterested. We then had to physically walk to the hostess station to pay for this subpar meal, as no one came to collect our credit card. Never going back.

First time, last time. Indifferent service, hit or miss food. The good - warm bread and pesto dip. The average - the duck breast and scalloped potatoes, the artichoke, profiteroles and the apple tart. The below average - the pasta with mushrooms and truffles, the cold sweet potato puree accompanying the duck. The complete miss is when your entree is mostly not eaten someone should be concerned enough to find out why. Apparently know one cared. No big deal. With the great selection of restaurants on the Island we will go back to the ones we enjoy and pass on this one.

Excellent food and service among the Palm Beach hoi polloi. Duck and onion soup were superb. Our server was down to earth. The maitre d’ was overly snobbish but that’s probably what the locals expect. Definitely worth spending an evening here. Reservations recommended.
