This is hands down one of my favorite dinner spots in Denver. I came here with my boyfriend for our 7 year anniversary. Our server Greg absolutely made the experience! He was perfectly attentive, recommended incredible dishes, and had us laughing the whole time. The food was amazing, and the flavors were so well thought out across the small plates and the pasta. Greg even sent us home with a massive cookie dough ball that we got to bake at home - easily the best cookie I’ve had! The service was some of the best we’ve had and the food was mouth watering. We will definitely be back!

It’s not always the easiest to uncover a gem like Olivia’s from the mass of dining options in Denver, but we are so happy we did. It’s clear that this restaurant has a mission to deliver unreasonable hospitality. If you don’t know what that means, read the book. Food - Devine. Service - flawless. Atmosphere - casual but not sloppy. Friendly above all else. Loved the food, the service, both from the owner, Heather, who mans the door and guides you to the table without the usual inquisition of “do you have a reservation”. Like magic she knew. Yes you will need a reservation, but it won’t take you long to realize why. And our waiter (and all the many staff who brought us device food) was great. A+++ (Get the Tiramisu for desert!!!)

I had family visiting from out of town, and we decided to go to Restaurant Olivia to celebrate a special occasion. The food was fantastic. The bread that came with the burrata was delicious, and you could tell how much thought and care went into developing the flavors in the risotto. Cocktails were good too! But by far, the best part of the meal was the impeccable service. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, personable, and attentive. Overall, just a great dining experience.

One of the few restaurants in Denver that lives up to the hype. Service was spectacular, but not in the stiff/take themselves too seriously kind of way, but in a warm, genuinely welcoming way. Our drinks were top notch. The daily focaccia and butter was heavenly, the asparagus appetizer was delicious, and my French onion soup ravioli was to die for. My friend and I agreed it was one of our best meals in Denver ever. I ordered takeout on another night, and they were just as welcoming to someone not even dining it. A true gem.

Visiting from New Jersey, my colleagues and I had a fantastic dinner. To begin, the focaccia with the Bison marrow side was amazing, as was the asparagus appetizer. All entrees were well enjoyed though the eggplant parm probably won the most marvels -- all agreed, best eggplant parm we've had. Special shout out to Whitney who pinch-hit for the sommelier -- she was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us to a perfect white and then red that my wine-enthusiasts dinner partners raved about, snapping label pictures in an effort to find these wines again. I just enjoyed -- first listening to Whitney who was such a clear and entertaining wine guide, and then drinking. Great restaurant.

Even though it wasn’t authentic Italian, the food was good. I had the tortalini with red sauce and caramelized onions (8/10), some salad 10/10(check picture) and a Moscow mule 9/10. Atmosphere gets a low grade due to the staring of my wheelchair. Other customers def gave dirty looks. Probably wouldn’t go back. I prefer a small Italian place with an old grumpy Italian man in the back making the food.

My boyfriend took me here for dinner on my birthday and we throughly enjoyed it. The service is phenomenal and the dinner was absolutely amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was how close seating was from other people(it felt less intimate). I would recommend doing the 5 course meal because you get to taste a nice variety of meals. Although it seems like the plates are small, you will be full after the fifth course (my boyfriend and I were stuffed).

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Olivia, and everything was spectacular! We were lucky to have Greg as our server—his recommendations were only overshadowed by his humor! He brought us complimentary champagne to toast our celebration :)) To start, we shared the focaccia with garlic butter, chopped salad, and arancini. All three were stellar. The focaccia was hot and seasoned with chive/mozzarella (omg) and the garlic butter was delicately whipped to perfection. The salad was extremely light and well dressed. Arancini was crisp and subtly flavored. No complaints! Between courses, we enjoyed a tiny intermezzo which was delicious and refreshing! And also so cool, as we had an intermezzo at our wedding reception—kismet! For our mains, we shared the ravioli (French onion soup in fresh pasta form) and the tagliatelle (super fresh and light bolognese). Loved both! The tagliatelle balanced out the richness of the ravioli really nicely. Finally we finished with the pecorino cheesecake, topped with a granola crumble and tart huckleberries. Heavenly! We booked our reservation well in advance but it was worth the wait! We’ll be back to try the fall menu and celebrate my husband’s birthday!

I could have also have given a 4 star for the first lamb pasta course in the new tasting menu. Most of the meal is a miss because they are bent on focusing on specific grains this month- so everything is based on a specific local grain. But why? If it doesn’t enhance the dish and actually detracts from an end product- why? It needs to taste better or offer something that adds and not detracts from the dish. Even the bread was off due to this grain focus and their desire to do something different- but it doesn’t taste good? Same with the other dishes. In the end the bison with sourgum grain was really bad. And very gamey tasting. I was horrified at the money spent- had wine pairing too. I mean literally sick over the value received versus paid. $500. 2 people. There wasn’t one redeeming item, except the lamb ragu course- but still would have been better if they left the strange grain focus go… just sad this was my experience. Had hoped for something better. They need to remember that simple cooking with the freshest local ingredients is often best…. Less is sometimes more- they are reaching and it tastes like that on every dish.

Finally got back here after the expansion/reopening. Service and atmosphere are still tip notch - what a great spot for the neighborhood. We did the tasting menu (only table left on Tock so figured why not). It was good but rating it 4/5 as every dish was very heavy. Could have used a "break" from creamy sauces and fried veggie. Will definitely be back and hit the a la carte next time. Wine pairing was great btw and the sommelier was great at describing the picks.

Restaurant Olivia is a MUST if you are in the Denver area. Even if you aren’t a big fan of pasta, there is no way you won’t find something you love here! My husband and I have been twice in the last year, if we didn’t live 40 minutes away we would make it an every weekend treat. The ravioli and arancini balls are TO DIE FOR. A recent discovery that my father in law made was their Martinis! Best martini he’s ever had. This man has drank a lot of martinis haha Service is always great, our waitress was Kim the last time we were there. Olivia in Denver offers a dining experience that impresses on multiple fronts. My recent visit began with their chopped salad, a fresh and vibrant start to the meal. The vinaigrette dressing had a complex and delicious flavor that complemented the crisp vegetables. The highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the tortelloni with vodka sauce, smoked fontina, crispy onion, and candied garlic. This dish was a great balance of creamy and savory elements. The tortelloni itself was tender and perfectly cooked, allowing the richness of the vodka sauce to shine. Accompanying the main course was the focaccia bread with herbs, which was soft, warm, and incredibly satisfying. Olivia’s atmosphere is both inviting and lively. The interior decor is tastefully done, creating a great ambiance that enhances the overall dining experience. Service at Olivia is unparalleled, with a staff that works seamlessly together to ensure every guest feels attended to. A delightful touch was the complimentary samples that were brought over – a refreshing bite of sorbet and a few sips of a sparkling zero-proof wine, both of which were wonderful. Overall, Olivia is a standout restaurant that delivers not only in terms of food quality but also in creating an enjoyable and memorable dining experience. Olivia is a must-visit.

Our dining experience was outstanding. The Olivia team reserved in advance an accessible table since a member of our party uses a walker. Then, the Olivia team made sure we felt special by offering celebratory glasses of champagne and a candle on the dessert for a party member celebrating a birthday. We had house cocktails, the tortellini, and the gemelli entrees. All were exceptional. We also split the chopped salad and the cheesecake. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared. And, the service was outstanding. The Olivia team made sure that our glasses were filled, our food was prepared as we like it, and that the table was cleaned between courses. And, I emailed Olivia about the glasses they use to serve their cocktails. I received a response the next day. No one ever responds to emails sent to their website, so I was very impressed that Olivia responded so quickly. The service could not be better. 10 stars out of 5!

The service was so fine tuned, the whole staff worked together to provide small touches that made the night flow seamlessly, things like bringing like a small table for your purse to sit on, replacing our napkins with clean ones when we went to the bathroom, and complimentary palet cleansers. The food was beyond the words in my vocabulary. Just amazing. We especially loved the homemade bread. Overall thought this was a great meal. It's 4 stars instead of 5 because dessert seemed both poorly conceived and executed. Of the other dishes we had, one seemed unbalanced on execution but not badly conceived. Highlights were really the service and environment which was comfortable, elegant and unrushed. Service was personal and casual, but with a high degree of precision. Overall the dinner was slow, but we were enjoying that and I think they slowed things for us. Our error was the number of rich items we ordered. The pastas are all extremely rich and intensely flavored so we would have been better off with a lighter starter and probably wine that was dryer or more robust. We had the spritz NA mocktail and the Pea Flower NA mocktail. Spritz was pleasantly bitter, Pea Flower was good but had a sweeter profile. The asparagus starter was great, seemed like steamed ribbons of asparagues with roasted whole spears, everything really nicely cooked and still bright and vibrant. We split two entree pastas ( french onion ravioli and romesco garganelli) and two half pastas (mushroom tortelloni and bolognese). Overall with the bread, this was too much food for the two of us. My wife loved the french onion ravioli. This is not my favorite set of flavors, but we both thought it delivered what it promised and the french onion broth on the bottom of the plate was really intensely flavored and delicious. The bolognese was excellent though intensely salty. The depth of flavor held up thru the salt, but a more robust wine would help with this. The romesco garganelli was the only miss for us. This came with duck confit that was so salty and overwhelming that it seemed to unbalance the dish. It had a gremolata of some kind on top that also was really salty and the two together seemed to overwhelm the other components of the dish. Bites with a very small bit of duck and more of the thinly sliced brocoli were much better and I think they could pull back and shred more finely the duck, make the gremolata more acidic or put in toasted nuts of some kind to balance out the salt. The only other issue with the dish was the romesco which ended up being a pasta component, not a sauce. This made for a stunning plate, but the herbacity and spice of romesco was not present or tastable in the dish. That was a shame because I think those brighter flavors could have balanced out the oil and salt that overwhelmed the dish. I think the concept here is great, but the ratios needed tweaking. Our unexpected highlight was the mushroom tortelloni with vodka sauce and candied garlic. Ours came out just luke warm which we were unsure if that was deliberate or not, but it didn't substantially detract from the dish. The light spice and richness of the vodka sauce with the umami of the mushroom dough in the pasta, smoke from the cheese filling and the sweetness and crunch of the candied garlic was a really great, unique and fun bite and I think showcased just what Olivia does best by working in their chosen format in surprising ways. We really appreciated that they coursed our meal for us and the sorbet intermezzo was a nice touch. The coursing put the two saltiest items together, which made sense of overall meal progression, but they were hard to eat together. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with dessert. The olive oil cake looked beautiful and we didn't mind the incredible density of the cake until the interior turned out to be dry. We didn't get intense flavors of olive oil or the moistness we expected and all the flavors of the cake were variations of sweet. It appeared to have a lemon custard dotted on it, but its flavor had no tartness to balance the sweet cream. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would likely come back, but would order more carefully and in most cases half portions of the pastas seemed like more than enough. Thanks to the staff for the wonderful evening of dining.

Brought my visiting parents from back east here and our first time. We were all very happy with the whole experience! It sits behind covered windows right on a very busy intersection across from a gas station. But on the inside it's a totally different story. Warm and welcoming, the staff goes out of the way to make you comfortable. The menu is relatively small but every dish we tried was so delicious. Eggplant Parm and various pasta (handmade in house) dishes all had wonderful flavors and each seemed 'special' in it's own way. We did notice that this is a popular place for couples on dates, with 90% deuces and only a couple 4 tops on a Friday night.

I'm perplexed by the reviews. I think in the case expensive doesn't necessarily mean good. My spouse and I tried the tasting menu with a wine pairing to celebrate a birthday. First, the atmosphere is fine as long as you ignore the location across from a bright gas station. Interior is done well. The service was excellent- extremely attentive and able to answer questions. The tasting offered three dishes plus a dessert. We added burrata, which was over-salted and the bread was under-baked and raw in the center. The tasting menu was mixed. The fritelle was horrible- the fried, oily flavor overpowered the dish. The agnolotti was the star of the menu- perfectly cooked and flavorful. The venison was disappointing- the greens were over-salted, the venison had absolutely no salt, and the sauces were bland and flavorless. There was a single intermezzo of a very small spoon of ice cream that was refreshing, but for the price we expected more. The wine pairing was solid except for the moscato, which was heinous. Because we were celebrating a birthday, there was a single, sad candle added to the plate of canolo. The sad little candle definitely summed up the experience. We would not revisit their tasting, but would give the restaurant another chance if we're dragged by friends. We'd stick to the regular menu on a revisit. I'd highly recommend avoiding the tasting menu. Not even kind of good. Two stars for the food because the agnolotti was good. Front of house was excellent.

We came here to celebrate a birthday and arrived early, unfortunately there were no bar seats available for drinks so the hostess suggested a bar that was half a mile walk away. We arrived back to the restaurant at our reserved time and were seated. The restaurant was busy, the waitstaff appeared to be on auto pilot, and tried to serve as many tables as possible. It wasn't very personable, service felt rushed. I had really high expectations for this place but the food was below average, for what we paid, I don't think we plan to come back. The ravioli was slightly undercooked and had a really strong onion taste, we couldn't taste the fennel in the fennel soup, arctic char was underwhelming. Overall not a great experience, service was rushed and food was mediocre at best. It was such a shame! The raving reviews did not match our experience. So sad!

They do require a reservation deposit of $25 PP, which is refunded when you arrive. Parking was plentiful. At the server's suggestion, we tried the Good Vodka in a martini - its the house vodka and sourced from coffee fruit. Refreshing and a fun choice. Dinner salad was perfect, spaghetti was superb, as was the tiramisu. I had an onion ravioli entree, which I wouldn't pick again. Great food and service. They have just expanded their space including what we believe is a private dining room. Unfortunately the night we were there they had one large table for 6 people and squeezed in two small tables, one of which my wife and I were seated at. They should keep this room exclusively for private dining as the acoustics are terrible and we couldn’t hear ourselves speak, being overwhelmed by the lively table of 6. We felt like an afterthought. I absolutely love everything about Olivia’s. The food is amazing, the service is awesome and friendly. It’s our goto date night restaurant and we’ve never been disappointed. We have reservations again for tonight and I can’t wait for dinner!

One of the best dinners I’ve had living in Denver throughout my 13 years here and Greg single-handedly had something to do with it. If you dine here and don’t ask for Greg as your waiter, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Not only was he hilarious, but his recommendations on food were exceptional! 11/10 would recommend!

The food was fine, but nothing incredible. Pasta was very well cooked (al dente), but the sauce and flavors weren't special. Overpriced from my pov. It is better Italian restaurants for the same $$$. The place is nice and quiet. It was very small, but I didn't feel it was cozy. The service was good. They were very attentive but maybe too much serious. 3.5/5

Finally some excitement in Denver's food scene! Thank you for the creative dishes and the phenomenal service. This kind of experience can only be delivered by non-corporate owned business. Thank you for enriching out city.

We celebrated my husbands birthday with his parents and enjoyed ourselves from start to finish! The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. Love the mood - No bright invasive lights. The service was top notch and our server was so gracious. He treated us quite a bit. The limoncello in the beautiful mini crystal stems were so delicious. The food was just superb! We will be back!

(I’M OBSESSED WITH THE TORTELLINI IN BRAISED DUCK CONSOMMÉ OMFG) Excellent and exciting courses, beyond excellent service, and an intimate space makes for a really excellent dinner experience. The courses from the apps to the desserts complete with a nonalcoholic dessert pairing was harmonious and absolutely delicious. The portions aren’t big, but they’re also not small. Just…correct. Apparently the menu is seasonal so that’s just perfect for me. We got: - Kale Mozzarella salad - a light and bright start to the meal with the freshest tomatoes ever - Hamachi Crudo with a miso broth that I’m absolutely obsessed with and bonito crackers - Lobster Spaghetti is a must. I’m not a big spaghetti fan but this is a must get. - Rabbit Cappelletti is also a must and one of the best pasta dishes on the menu. - ended the meal with Tiramisu paired with a nonalcoholic French 75 which was…just perfect. Thank you for a good time Restaurant Olivia. I look forward to more visits and more exciting menus!

My girlfriend and I went here on a date, and the meal and ambience were incredible. The simple focaccia with butter was some of the best bread I've ever had, and they served a small taster of their gelato between courses; it was bright, tart and delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the arancini and a pistachio salad. The salad was great, it tasted like it had cheese in every nook and cranny. The arancini wasn't bad by any stretch but it was still my least favorite dish overall; it was lacking strong primary flavor notes (sweet, acidic, savory, etc), and the prosciutto on top was difficult to get on a spoon with everything else which cut down on the salty goodness, and contributed to some of the flatness of the dish. For entrees we ordered two half size pastas (the umbrian sausage, and the culurgiones) along with the Maui nui venison. The culurgiones was fantastic, perfectly balanced between the creaminess of the filling and the acidity of the tomatoes with just a touch of heat from the chili crisp. The umbrian sausage pasta was rich and creamy with some bright cherry tomatoes to cut through the fattiness. My favorite entree was the venison which I almost hadn't ordered, but the waiter made a recommendation as I was placing my entree order. It's a simply presented dish with three sauces (soubise, demi glace, chili oil) and the combination is perfectly paired with the meat. The service was fantastic, they kept the tables clean and swapped plates between courses to prevent overlapping flavors. The staff does everything they can to make sure the experience is wonderful. I've seen some reviews complaining about the time between courses which I understand, but it's a restaurant that focuses on high quality dishes, and to do that, the chefs can't be rushed to the point of cutting corners. Instead, they will typically aim to have a 3-4 course meal take the full 60-90 minutes of the reservation, and everything will be coursed out with sufficient time between courses to prevent the chefs from getting overwhelmed. This is definitely something to consider before making a reservation, but if you take your time savoring the food, you will enjoy the experience all the more. I will definitely be returning to try everything else on their menu as well as the tasting menu.

Food was delicious and tasteful if a bit slow on actually getting out. Also the building is located on the same corner as two gas stations. You can't really smell it once you're inside but it's still kinda blasé.

We started with an octopus appetizer which was a bit too chewy. Seafood dishes in Colorado can be tricky but we expected it to be better since they decided to put it on the menu. Caramelized onion Ravioli, inspired by French onion soup, was fantastic! We also loved their version of tiramisu. I wish they had more carnivorous entrees available. We will definitely be back but will skip the seafood!

Second time dining at Olivia and it missed the mark! Server was great until he had too many tables. Starters included Whipped Beef Tarrow, Octopus and Chopped Salad——stick with starters as they were terrific. Starters arrived pretty promptly. 60 minute wait between starters and mains….felt forgotten as starter plates were empty and sat for an hour. Plenty of staff but they seemed out of sync. Mains were marginal. 20% gratuity included in bill which I generally appreciate but the service didn’t match the tip this time. Given the many other choices in town to dine we won’t likely return to Olivia.

What an extraordinary restaurant. My wife and I ate at Restaurant Olivia last night and were overwhelmed with every aspect of the place. FINALLY a restaurant that lives up to its hype and more! We had the tasting menu with every course sublime. Let's start with the focaccia bread. I mean how good can even the best bread be? Extraordinary and unique when it is made in house and combined with Olivia's butter. My wife took a piece more than her fair share and now we are headed to marriage counseling. I am not wild about caviar (part of the first course) and was able to change for another selection, the Fennel Bisque which was superb. This was followed by Tajarin Ragout, Agnolotti del Plin, sorbet, and the Brasato (lamb shoulder with truffle polenta etc). Finish it off with Hazelnut Torte and you will go to some Zen place. We were totally professionally served by Kayla who was assisted by the ever present and helpful Steven (and his wicked sense of humor). Being a wine guy, I would have loved an ounce or two more on the Reserve pours but this is splitting hairs. We have eaten at Restaurant X and Restaurant Y (my wife says it is bad form to name names), the alleged standard bearers for Italian food in the greater Denver area. On our way out I stopped to talk to the ever present and helpful hostess to say Restaurant X and Y are a sidewalk cart on a Somali road compared to Olivia. You will not be disappointed.

Hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in Denver! Had to plan well in advance to get a reservation but it was completely worth it. The focaccia was delicious. The eggplant Parmesan is a must get! The banana pudding tiramisu was soft and light but pleasing! Would definitely come back again! Can’t go wrong with pairing with a Chianti

We went in last night for dinner, got a spot for 4 available through their waitlist on their website since it’s reservation only. The place is cozy, clean, and well put together. The staff is polite and attentive. My wife absolutely adored the apple margarita, and my old fashion was pretty damn tasty. Got one of each of the apps and cheeses and none of them disappointed. We had a few of their pastas for our main course and were absolutely delicious. With the exemption of the ravioli which wasn’t bad but not to my wife’s liking, so we ordered a couple more dishes off the menu and were brought promptly. The eggplant parmesan was delicious. And even though we did not asked them to be comped they took care of them at the end of the night. Their attention to detail is fantastic. Service, drinks, food presentation. Overall a great experience. We need more places like this in Colorado. I wish nothing but the best to Olivia and their staff.

This was hands down the very best meal and experience I have had at a restaurant. I love to watch and learn from others and I can say every person in the restaurant loved what they did and it showed! You felt like a friend from the door and it just kept getting better. I had the best eggplant dish I have ever had and normally would not have considered it, but my hostess was gracious and thorough in her description and it peaked my interest. My only disappointment was in my inability to finish such amazing cuisine! I was traveling through on business but will definitely be back when possible!

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and service of Restaurant Olivia! The staff is absolutely fantastic! They were great at accommodating my dietary needs. The gluten-free dairy free focaccia was such a lovely treat! I personally did not love the gluten-free pasta, I wish I would have gone with a different dish.

Be prepared to live out some nostalgia in each bite. The tagliatelle is phenomenal, as is the “french onion” ravioli. Don’t miss out on the foccia and buratta combo either. Great service as well, we will be coming back.
