Our service was lovely! We came in close to closing time and they kept reassuring us it was not a problem! We were going to get it to go, but the environment was so welcoming and nice. The food was excellent and definitely try the desserts!

The salad was smaller than the last time we were here. The food overall was good but we were charged $8.00 for a regular coffee and $8.00 for one iced tea. Way overpriced. You lost a regular customer.

Hearty food with an old world ambience. Good take-out and easy street parking. The Gyro is great for lunch and you can’t go wrong with the dinner selection. My go to is the Greek Lasagna and Greek Salad

Amazing food!!! The Avgolemono soup is the BEST I have ever had! It is so creamy and has the perfect consistency - MUST try. They also have DELICIOUS Keftedes, I can eat these two all day everyday.

Good greek food in a quaint restaurant. No parking lot but was able to find parking in the neighborhood. Might be hard to find parking in the evening. We went for lunch.

Been going here for over 20 yrs love it best greek food in town. Everyone please support this restaurant ...best family owned place to eat. We need to get lunch hours restored. Due to covid hrs have been cut to just dinner please help this business...want it to survive ...TRIED others they dont compare....to the food here...new update. Not sure w hat is happening went there on Sunday 5 of us place not busy.the food came out my husband gyros sandwich was dry not hot couldn't eat it .I had gyros plate salad came out oily, the gyros meat wasn't hot, the pita seemed old and hard plus cold ,burnt only food hot was the frys. Not sure if going back. Very 😞 disappointed......

I really wanted to like this place. I've had my eye on it for years. Hoping to find a replacement for Pete's Gyro Place on Colfax. It just fell short. Flavorless salad, frozen bagged fries, and just blah gyro. The decor is tired. And there wasn't any music or background. It was eerily quite. It just doesn't have that pizzazz.

Excellent food and wonderful hosts. Our waiter was prompt, knowledgeable, nice and even gave us a free Ouzo shot! Prices were reasonable too. We went to Turkey & Greece this summer so I had a hankering for authentic moussaka and I was not disappointed. The flaming cheese is also great, not that you can ever go wrong with a pile of cheese. We will definitely be back.

The Location and Restaurant itself is a Vibe, staff is awesome, so so friendly! Greek Lasagna and Moussaka was very bland, I ordered the Greek Lasagna with high hopes for the Bechamel sauce, but there was none at all, red tomato sauce wasn't seasoned, Moussaka was virtually the same bland entree as the Greek Lasagna. Spanakopita was great, maybe we ordered the wrong items, great experience, disappointing food.

Really great Greek family restaurant. We were devastated when they closed after a kitchen fire a few years ago thinking they would be gone for good so we were overjoyed when they reopened.

Wonderful service! Lovely cozy interior. Food fell flat though. Under seasoned, and not very warm when it was served. For fresh Mediterranean Food i would recommend The Golden Falafel. Still enjoyed the experience, but will not be returning.

My boyfriend & I dined here for the first time a couple weeks ago and we had such a wonderful time. The man who helped us was super nice and gave us great recommendations. The food was fantastic, we didn’t want to stop eating but we were full to the brim. I can’t wait to come back!

This is a one of a kind place that Ive missed from growing up in a bigger city, I'd expect to find this in New York City, or somewhere, so I was very happy to have found it. It was great to meet and talk with the people working while we were there, felt very welcome, it's the kind of experience you'd have if you were a food writer with your own tv series. Everything was phenomenal. The food and the service was what you can only find from a family owned restraunt that truly cares and is proud of the food and the service. "Opa!"

If you’re looking for home cooked fine Greek dining this is the place to go. Everything we had tonight was cooked fresh and amazing. The staff was welcoming and the drinks were awesome.

I had a fantastic experience here! Our waiter was so kind and knowledgeable, the food was AMAZING, and the ambiance is excellent, both inside and out. Super affordable, great drink selection too. I will be returning!

Started off with apathetic service. Made our way to the stuffed grape leaves - flavorless and floating in a yellow, citrus goo (I think you over-microwaved them). The Gyro was made without any care and the meat was literally dripping in some sort of colorless oil - absolutely soaked the sad ‘pita from a bag’. This is type of ‘good enough’ restaurant we had in Denver 20 years ago. There are, thankfully, better options now. Recommendation to the staff: take a field trip to ‘Crave Mediterranean’ and taste their food - you have a lot of work to do. To everyone else: go somewhere else (see above) - there is nothing about this place that is worth a visit.

Wonderful local Greek restaurant! Food is always good here and the staff is friendly. It’s street parking around the restaurant but if you are in the neighborhood, it’s worth the walk. Portions are plenty and worth the price.

Vegetable Moussaka is my go-to, and the spanakopita is amazing. Their chicken is cooked really nicely. I wish they were able to open during lunch time or extend their hours a bit... please give them your support!

Amazing Greek food and such a welcoming family atmosphere. We loved everything about this restaurant, my parents would eat here when they lived in Wash Park in the 80s and attest that the restaurant has not lost its family charm. The food is absolutely fantastic and authentic!

I went here with my family in the 80s and 90s. You have no idea how much we loved coming here. The avgolemono was my favorite. What 8 year old goes to a restaurant for soup? Me. And because of your soup, as an adult, trying to replicate that amazing soup. Everything we had there was good. I know this isn't a current review ( my family moved when I was 18) I'm 44 now but I have never forgotten The Central, as we called it. I needed you to know how much we loved your place. The atmosphere was always lovely

Must try! The food at Pete's transposes you to a small Greek village where the food and wine are crafted to make you fall in love with the peoples, culture, and their delicious cuisine. Pete's has an impressive menu which includes good vegetarian options. Also highly commendable is their stellar service!

The food here is some of the best Greek food I have ever had! It's consistently good every time we go. I love their chicken Greek salad, and the Spanikopita, and my husband loves the vegetarian Mousaka. WE get the same thing every time because it's just so good! The last time we ate in the service was a bit slow, but I think that was just because they were short staffed. It really was no big deal and the staff was still friendly and helpful. We were even both given free shots of Ouzo as an apology/ a thank you for being patient. I would definitely recommend Pete's!

Pete's.. an essential Denver experience.

My boyfriend is super Greek and he loves this spot. Grateful they have amazing vegetarian dishes and I can totally chow down too. His mom and him love the rack of lamb with potatoes, and I love the veggie combo. So so so good and authentic!

The meal was extremely delicious. As for the server, he was first class and very attentive.

We’ve been searching for good gyros. I’m partial to Falafel King but my wife has always had fond memories of Central One - that is, Pete’s Central One, part of the Pete’s Empire. We recently ordered takeout. I arrived just after they opened, no other customers yet... I thought the interior was charming, and more fun than the other Pete’s locations. The food? Well, I was not that impressed. I found the gyros okay, but nothing very special - and cut into too-tiny pieces, not sliced, more like scraps. The pita bread was a bit soft and undercooked, I like pita slightly more toasted than what I received... and the fries were generic. I will say that I liked the tzitzi sauce a lot! As for my wife, she was quite pleased. Either her order was simply better than mine, just by chance... or this shows the power of nostalgia. Or both could be true!

You won't find better Greek food in Denver. We've been going to Pete's for years because we love the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the service ... all of it. It wasn't until we went to Greece that we realized just how authentic Pete's food is. So is the restaurant. I highly recommend dining in ... not just for the meal, but for the whole experience. It's fantastikós!

Overall a great experience. The food was good, but not the best Greek food I have ever had. The gyro was a little greasy for my liking. The service was great and the manager gave us all shots on the house! Make sure to get the saganaki! I definitely plan on returning!

I’ve been looking for a place that reminds me of my family’s cooking in Greece.. finally found it! Service is good, food is better.. just make sure you’re eyes aren’t bigger than your stomach!

This was my first time dining at this restaurant and it was worth every bit of the 17 miles driven to get to it. The food was tasty and the service was fast. We ate and had lots of left over for another time, chicken, pork and gyros were all very tasty with ample portions. The Tzatziki was very good and tasty. We were too full for dessert so I'm sure their offerings were good as well. Will definitely return.

Best Greek food this side of the world.

Just got take out from this place last night. We ordered the mediterranean chicken and the salmon, plus a side of Greek potatoes and of course some baklava. The ordering went smooth and our meal was waiting for me when I got there just 25 minutes later. It is a nice little cafe right on the corner of Pearl and Alameda. Took it home and we were very impressed. The chicken was delicious, tender, juicy and done to perfection. The salmon was equally as good. Super tasty and the veggies and rice had great flavor as well. I had not had Greek potatoes before but this will definitely not be the last We love them. The baklava was killer as well. Highly recommend, we will definitely be returning in the future.

This place is very quaint and has the feel of a family business. The vegetarian options were yummy. This is my second time here, and I will return. I definitely recommend. The waitress was very helpful in helping me choose my vegetarian options. Cool place!

OPA!! Our first time in and we absolutely loved it and will definitely be back. If you want a dining experience that feels like you are a part of a family with authentic home cooked food - come here - immediately. We were there until ten minutes past close and they didn't care at all let us finish our wine and dessert. Can't wait for summer and that patio.

This by far is the best Greek place I highly recommend the flaming cheese and the soup. The gyros sandwich and the Greek salad are my top two favorite dishes. Will continue to go here any time I'm craving Greek food

I am so glad that Pete's is finally open again! This is a real gem, with amazing combo plates so you can always get exactly what you want. They have a nice selection of Greek beer and wine, as well. They are great for a date night, but are also accommodating for family groups. They almost always have a lamb special, which is a top choice for me.

And. . . they're back! The longest "temporary closure" on record - I'm pretty sure. Anyway, it's literally three blocks from my house. Food, decor, even the waitress still all the same. Maybe it's a buck more now but portions are huge. Had the "lunch" dolmades (6), soup or salad, and a side of some veggie "stew" green beans, eggplant (tasty) - $13.99. You'd pay that for a sandwich lots of places these days. Friend had the Greek combo - pastitsio and moussaka, same side, and a very decent Greek side salad. Wasn't crazy about the pastitsio - pretty bland but I've never met one that wasn't. FYI - parking around there can be tough, especially with Pearl all torn up. Nice to have them back in my 'hood. It's no Yahya's but points for convenience - OPA!

The service was really great - our waitress was very personable and helpful. The manager also stopped by to see if we were happy. The decor is nice and makes you think of a restaurant in Greece. I had the gyro plate that was delicious. The pits is cut up and fried so it is nice and crisp and perfect for dipping in their great tzatziki sauce. Their gyro meat was fried or grilled so it has a nice crispness and melted in my mouth. I also chose the soup as it was a lemon chicken that was so good I wish I could take a gallon home. I'm glad this restaurant is open again. I look forward to work my way through the menu.

Delicious juicy gyro! Hit the spot! Fries were cooked perfectly but need some seasoning (otherwise 5 stars). So glad the business is finally open. We will be back for sure.

The food was decent and manager was very welcoming and I highly appreciated his energy. I had a server however which was very unwelcoming and when we tried to order she seemed very impatient with us.
