Perfect breakfast or brunch spot with fresh eggs, fantastic coffee, really good baked goods, and outstanding service. Best part is that it has resisted the artificial changes that many kosher restaurants make to attract influencers and other social climbers (mostly cheap and shiny interior makeovers to help you stomach the mediocre food and alarming prices). This place is consistently excellent and charming without any of the fluff.

Staff is attentive and friendly however the food as decent as it is needs to be critiqued ,as an example they heat up a simple tuna sandwich when you order the bread toasted you get a hot tuna sandwich as they just throw the entire thing on the sandwich grill and when I complained they denied it , they also load it with mayo as well as if you order eggs and potatoes , you get a plate of oil and potatoes, therefore if healthy proper eating is your thing the Carrot across the way is the way to go as well as tasty cafe in Miami Beach . By the way when I told the owner that I was writing the review he told me they I’m ruining his business. My response is that my dinning experience was not positive therefore I am Honest regarding the situation and save those concerned about what goes into their mouths such experiences

Waiter service above and beyond professional, pleasant atmosphere, outdoors and indoors however catering to a Jewish clientele where everyone is into healthy eating , you should not get a side of anything drenched in oil such as hash browns, inexcusable as well using cheap white bread instead of whole wheat , sourdough or rye . Backwards to use that dough rich white bread , tons of mayo and oil in everything else.

Asked for a toast with goat cheese, avocado and arugula. The toast was the one you buy in the supermarket, thin and without taste. They toasted it 20 minutes ago because it was super cold. They were cheap on avocado as well. I would not eat here again.

This place is as far as I know the only affordable breakfast place in Surfside. It's a no-frills spot that's great to bring the family. It's basic, clean, the food is decent and overall we had a really fun time! I loved the savory crepe that I ordered, and the omelettes came with a big portion.

I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. The guy at the counter (I assume the owner?) is the nicest guy, always greeting with a smile. We look forward to coming to Miami just to enjoy Cafe Vert (and the Gluten free option is awesome for us gluten intolerant). The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. I am not someone who usually reviews, but I was very impressed with the service.

Horrible experience. I would not suggest going here. The customer service is terrible and the waiters have such attitude. Out of the entire store there was only one nice waiter. We ordered something with an add on and the waiter tried to change the order for us to pay more. When we said something his attitude shifted to be a condescending egotistical person that seemed like all he was in it for was somewhat of a power trip. On top of that the food is not fresh tasting and was way overpriced for the portions they give. The wait time is also beyond long leading me to believe they are picking it from the farm as the orders come in. Think twice before going here.

Easily the best place in Surfside. 100% family run, a mom and daughter team are making all of your food. It gets packed, so be patient as every meal is being prepared with love by women who only have two hands. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could.

The restaurant experience was not the best and not to my liking. I came inside and the tables are widely spread out which looked not like a cafe I would see. Sat down and was greeted with a staff, absolutely amazing kind staff who are happy to have a smile on there face and always welcoming. Ordered the French toast and I have to say, the presentation was spectacular, and even the taste was amazing. That was very impressive. I ordered fresh squeezed watermelon drink, very small and ABSOLUTELY OVERPRICED! $6.50 for a small drink! Maybe because it is fresh squeezed but for 6 dollars! Insane! Also, got some coffee. It was absolutely terrible. The coffee was very bland and it is not good brewed coffee. The atmosphere of the restaurant was ok, the restaurant does seem a bit outdated with the design and the tables has numerous scratches on it. Looking around in the corner, it looks really old and feels like food is rotting in there. The time to get the food and the drinks was very long, I get they have to get everything prepared but the amount of time it took was over the limit. People who work well with stuff like that could bring it out in minutes. Overall, this restaurant is somewhere I probably wouldn’t come back to if I am in Miami area. Food was really good, service was amazing, atmosphere was alright and the coffee and drinks were overpriced and terrible. I wouldn’t recommend it unfortunately.

We are staying for 4th of July down the street, but we will be driving from South Miami just to have breakfast here. We have many allergies (gluten, dairy, soy, nuts) and they accommodate so well! Their DF GF pancakes are INCREDIBLE and their DF vanilla latte with oat milk is delicious. Great service as well!

Great food... not so great service.. but it was busy and there wasn't a whole lot of staff on duty. Food took a while but great taste and reasonable value. Will come again if in the area....

I just fall in love with this place , omg I ate so good there it’s very healthy the food is gluten free no way It’s literally the best French cafe and it’s reasonable price , the croissants there the best the omelet , everything , the service and the people make the atamosphere so comfortable like I’m at home wow , no words to describe this place ! I like also that the parking it’s just steps from the cafe !!

Delicious breakfast. Mushroom omelette and the classic bkf, as well as Coffee are espectacular. Pancakes are fluffy and delicious can’t choose which ones I liked most chocolate chips or banana. Ate here 3 days in a row because it was soooo good

Don't let the decor fool you. This place made me a double espresso that hit the sopt and a cream cheese and lox sandwich. That was amazing. As i took the last bite, i remembered i didn't take a picture of my sandwich. i rated it 5 star would order it again hope to try it again

We waited 40 minutes to be served without a fried eggs/potatoes and a sandwich. Eggs came broken, potatoes badly tasted recycled fried oil. M’y wife sandwich looked thrown away 2 others tables were served before us despite arriving after us Food disgusting service unacceptable We left our plates and went to have breakfast next door where food arrived within 10min after our order

Food was very good - all plates were returned empty! There was a nice selection of smoothies and drinks, which were very good as well. We ordered shakshuka - perfect amount of heat, enough bread to mop up all the flavors. Greek salad, was very good, as well as a strawberry banana honey smoothie, and a green smoothie There's ample seating both inside and out.

A nice menu of assorted crepes, omelets, pancakes, andblitzes, all at good value especially for Surfside / Bal Harbor areas. Brunch time on a Sunday was busy. The dining tables are incredibly small, either 30 inch square, or round. There are many kosher eateries on Collins, and the Grove grocery store, too.

Michael ! What a magnificent cafe you and your father have created. Against a simple homey backdrop youve created a service of Five star with genuine care and a human touch. Your coffee is delicious,your pastries a small piece of Parisian heaven and every dish that comes out of your kitchen is prepared perfectly with Love. 6 Stars !!

My Family and I were strolling along Harding ave, looking for a place to have breakfast. A kind server, came outside and welcomed us in. We were somewhat hesitant, because we are Latino and all the guest inside appeared to be Jewish (we weren't sure if we would feel welcomed). Our waiter, was very helpful and kind. The food was very good, my entire family enjoyed the freshness of the meal and also the watermelon drinks they recommended. I've never sat to eat in a Kosher cafe, however, this experience has led me to be more open minded in doing so in the near future. After paying our bill, i asked the gentlemen at the cashier to thank the cook, and to let him know we enjoyed the food. Not to my surprise, he replied, the cook was his "mother"! How cool is that. I look forward to returning during my next visit. Thank you for making my family and I feel welcomed to your establishment.

Exactly what you want. Excellent Avocado Omelette with fixins. Great cappuccino. Stroller friendly. Met the owners son; said they been in business for 14 years and I can see why. Place obviously attracts regulars who are overly particular about their orders which was funny to watch. No wait when we went at 9am on a Sunday Our server was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Got one of each baked good to go.

Although I live out of town I visit surfside frequently this used to be my go to place for breakfast Sadly -not sure why- the quality of the food has deteriorated I ordered French toast and it came (after a long wait)‘like fried bread. No taste at all Cappuccino was off. And ordered milkshake for my kid was nothing more than sweetened milk Tried them again and food really wasn’t up to par Perhaps why place was not full Sadly I won’t be returning anytime soon

Not a fancy looking restaurant like the ones popping up on Harding in Surfside but food was very good and reasonably priced for being kosher!

Even during a very busy season, the staff was very attentive and helpful, to help us choose from all the delicious dishes. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. My children will convince me to come here again, next time we're here!

Went on a Sunday, its just too busy to have a nice Sunday brunch experience. It's small, loud, and cramped close quarters & familys pack in there like sardines. They just keep coming when they get out of Temple. I sat outside at the sidewalk cafe tables to avoid the cramped quarters. My server was kind, but I later realized he didnt bring me my side dish that I had to go along with the gluten free toast. I had paid for it and tipped nicely. But I didnt remember until I was long gone,.. again distracted by the crowds. Since it was so busy, I think my side got lost in the mix. THEY REALLY NEED TO HIRE EXTRA STAFF JUST FOR SUNDAYS & PERHAPS A HOSTESS AT THE FRONT DOOR TO MAINTAIN CROWD CONTROL AND SEATING ON THE WEEKENDS. Food was great though, just too busy, too crowded to get the detailed attention I normally expect at a restaurant. I'd say perhaps go during the week. Again the food was delicious!

Incredible place with AWESOME gluten free food. Great atmosphere. Had a gf panini, gf crepe, and gf pancakes (very fluffy). Amazing gf muffin as well. All homemade.

I'm writing this as I'm waiting for my eggs to be brought to my table. It is 1 hour and 24 minutes since I arrived with my wife. I don't care how good the food is -- whatever it is they bring to my table, unless it's made with silver and gold, I'm giving this place one star. Totally unexcusable.

I ordered a crepe and it was absolutely by far the worst one I’ve ever eaten in my life. 3 bites and I was done. Super soggy, greasy, and the texture was wayyyyy off. It also took almost 30 minutes to get even though there was very few people were there. Service was sub par — count me out for ever returning.

Food was delicious. The spinach feta cheese omlat is a most try. The food was so good that I am giving this place 5 stars even though the wait to get the food is terrible slow and is very mismanaged.

Way to make yourself the victim!!! Wow! I'm even more appalled after reading your reply! FYI, I have never in my life had any confrontations before. This is a first!!!!!!
