Great flatbread pizza. Nice atmosphere for people watching. I had the margarita pizza, very tasty.

Wonderful romantic dinner at Café Prego. We were seated on the terrace with a view on the ocean. Our server, Catherine, was responsive and helpful. The ricotta was to die for. Portions are generous and all food has high quality ingredients. We also enjoyed a great bottle of Italian wine for a decent price.

These people understand pizza. If I lived near them I'd grab Friday night. Their other dishes are excellent as well. The pizza just takes me back to earlier days in NY state.

The seating is nice! The food is excellent! The staff is kind! We have been here a few different times over the years. We have never been disappointed with their food! They have the best Gelato and tiramisu.

I went there twice during my stay in Ogunquit with my two children. The welcome is courteous and honest, and the service is excellent. The first meal turned out to be expensive with 3 gelatos totaling almost 25USD, although the risotto, bolognese pasta and chicken parmesan were delicious (addition of 132USD). On our 2nd visit, we shared 2 pizzas between the 3 of us, which gave us each 4 generous slices in addition to being easier on the wallet (addition of 55USD). The atmosphere is family and pleasant. A place I will recommend to anyone who comes to Ogunquit.

Amazing restaurant. The food is great as exemple the bolognese as a lot of beef while being creamy. The service is just incredible they take care of you and everything. The menu is incredibly honest. I loved it.

The food was delicious, our service was awful. Not once did our waitress check on us to fill up waters, ask how our meal was. My wife doesn't drink alcohol, she needed water her entire meal and never came over. We were going to get dessert, but ended up walking across the street to Sweet Peas instead.

This is a must-go to restaurant in Ogunquit. I brought my two teenage girls with me and we were amazed at how delicious and authentic the food was. We even ate dessert which was also amazing. A++++++

This restaurant was such a disappointment. I was sitting cross legged with my knee against the edge of the table and a host walked up to my table and rudely asked me to “put that down” referring to the way I was sitting and continued to give me dirty looks the rest of the time I was dining. The vegetable ravioli was not cooked and tasted like frozen food. The olive and mushroom pizza was equally disappointing. The ambiance was odd with the orange awning which made it too bright to read the menu. Our server was very sweet. Overall a horrible experience with cafeteria food from the freezer and seriously overpriced for the quality and rude management. I highly recommend you don’t go to this restaurant.

My son has severe food allergies (including garlic, which is very difficult) and the restaurant provided him a safe and delicious meal- they were incredibly accommodating. I called in advance of our visit and spoke to the owner, who assured me they could accommodate the allergies. Thank you so much- we will be back!

Pizza crust is thin and crispy. Delicious. Haddock on pasta was fresh, fresh fresh! If just a couple, then sit at the bar facing the ocean for a great view. Very pleasant meal. Wait staff are attentive!

A group of us went last Saturday night. They were busy, but we used the wait list app and it worked well. I can't remember her name, but the blonde young lady who served us was efficient, professional, and gave us just the right amount of attentiveness. Everyone enjoyed their meals, salads were great, and we'll go back and try it again!

C’était un de nos restaurants préférés à Ogunquit, où nous sommes allés les 12 dernières années. Très très décevant les 2 dernières années. La facture est élevée avec une qualité de nourriture qui n’y est plus. Cette année, le poulet parmigania n’était vraiment pas bon, ni la pizza Quatro Stagioni. Alors que le serveur était adorable et voulait rectifier la situation, le gérant s’en foutait. C’était la même chose l’an passé. En plus, il y a eu mélange d’assiettes et nous avons dû attendre très longtemps, sans aucune compensation ( ex légère réduction de prix, ou offrir de la bruschetta..). Dommage pcq l’emplacement est très bien avec la belle terrasse. Mais nous n’y retournerons plus. Il y a bcp d’autres restos offrant un meilleur rapport qualité prix. A éviter!!

We were in for a late night snack and drink, and were pleasantly surprised to find gelato as well as great drink options, including grappa and strega.

I visited one of the best places in Ogunquit. I highly recommend it 100%.

As locals of ogunquit this is my family’s favorite place! The food will not disappoint, and the service is amazing. Shout out to Angela who’s been working there for years - she really is the best, so attentive and so nice! Best restaurant in ogunquit

Food was just ok. Usually chicken parm has pounded cutlets but it was very thick and had some balsamic on it, so a little odd. Bar service was slow but table service was good. Seating was a bit cramped.

We had a great meal. We are pizza snobs and the Arabiatta pizza was fantastic. Arancini were great and the salad as good too. Our server Elise was a pro and the atmosphere was relaxed with a great view of people and a smidge of water from the porch. Bravo!

We tried this restaurant for a lunch salad and a latte. Both were remarkably delicious! The waiter was appropriately attentive. We’ll definitely return.

Cannot begin to tell you how much I loved this place! Everything was top tier. Food was delicious, patio is beautiful and everyone is friendly. Had salad with margherita pizza and both were phenomenal. They make an excellent Aperol spritz and have a whole gelato bar. I'll certainly be back anytime I'm in the area

We visited Caffe Prego on a Saturday night and chose to sit at the bar which was not too busy. Despite waiting at the bar for quite some time, we were not greeted or acknowledged by any staff members. We didn’t receive menus or even water. The bartender with the ponytail continued to serve others while ignoring us. After being overlooked for too long, we decided not to support the business and got up to leave. We understand that employees may be busy, but a simple acknowledgment that someone will be with you shortly goes a long way. Customer service is key, and unfortunately, Caffe Prego failed to deliver tonight.

We’re on our annual visit to Ogunquit and decided to go to Caffe Prego for dinner our first night here. Catherine was our server and provided friendly and knowledgeable service. I had the mushroom and asparagus risotto, pleased that they could leave the sausage out since I'm a vegetarian. This accommodation isn’t always possible in restaurants, unfortunately. My husband enjoyed his Pizza alla Donato and we shared a delicious Caesar salad with generous shavings of parmesan. Unfortunately we were too full to try the gelato but plan to go back before we leave.

We've been coming opening night every year for 3 years now. Always delicious with great service and a relaxed atmosphere.

We drove down to Ogunquit for a little family day and allowed our daughter to pick out the restaurant. She chose Caffe Prego for the pizza, and let me tell you, we were not upset! I'm gluten free, our daughter is vegetarian. The wood fired pizza was delicious! Our brussel sprout appetizer was also incredible. The best part about the entire experience was the homemade gelato for dessert! Yumm!

Pleasant spot with indoor and outdoor seating across from beach. Felt like having a Tuscan family eatery dropped on the coast of Maine. Delicious salads, paninis, pizzas and desserts. Family friendly environment run as a warm family establishment with friendly service. Nice surprise while walking around town on a sunny Fall afternoon. Hit the spot

We only had the chance to have a drink out by a fire pit, however we enjoyed every minute. Walking by the gelato case I wish we had a chance to have dinner and dessert here before they closed for the season. Next year!

My husband and I decided to look for just a pizza and salad place so we chose Caffe Prego which was in walking distance of our hotel. People serving were great, food was even better.We enjoyed our experience.

Fantastic! Our first time at Prego and we loved it! Service was great...perfect recommendations...nice timing as we loved everything we got. Burrata Caprese was tasty w/ great mix of flavors. 2 different pizzas (4 cheese and a combo fig/olive/mushroom) were fantastic...great crust. Excellent Sangria and loved the gelato whoopie pie dessert.....really we loved everything. Def going back!

The owner, Zach, was bartenders when I went in. Personable, sincere, and knowledgeable. Oh, and the risotto was FANTASTIC.

Turkey panini was dry, as was the pasta salad. Chicken parmesan was pretty good. Service was friendly but inattentive.

Haven't eaten dinner there yet. Take out- I orded a latte and tiramisu . Very good but a little pricey .

Great place and pizzas were very delicious. Gelatos were creamy and flavorful. Not overly sweet. Espresso was nice. Taking 1 star for lasagna which was a little watery.

My husband and I absolutely will be back next summer. The coffee bar and outdoor seating is great and their desserts are very good!

I did a lot of research because I needed a place that was kid friendly and had a menu that would match. My granddaughter had been wanting pasta with butter all week. You don’t give a 3 year old fettuccine noodles, they choke. That is what happened to my granddaughter. When I told the waiter nothing was done. My grandsons chicken tenders were burnt and not edible. My meal was nothing to mention either.

Very disappointing. Shockingly, the "grilled chicken" sandwich was made with small pieces of PROCESSED chicken (like the brand-name chicken chunks sold in a bag at any grocery store). The sandwich was turned back, unacceptable. The cubes of roast squash in the salad were smaller than dice and there weren't many of them! This restaurant also doesn't make their own meatballs for their meatball sandwich (we asked, and passed on it). Great location, nice server, left hungry, will not return.

It's very relaxed, inviting, and kid-friendly. I highly recommend the tiramisu!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Ogunquit! You won’t be disappointed with anything you order.

My wife's pizza was great, the truffle fries were good, but the haddock picatta was awful. The sauce was delicious but the haddock was tough, didn't taste fresh and I could not eat it. Fresh haddock should be soft, not tough and inedible. I sent the entire dish back and had to go elsewhere to get a takeout dinner. No one offered to comp the haddock, which only had two bites from it. Have been dining at Prego's for years, this was very disappointing. Unlikely we'll go back.

Cute spot I've walked past a bunch of times. It was a beautiful day for outdoor seating and there wasn't a wait so we popped on in. The menu was great, a few good options making it difficult to choose. We had an appetizer and sandwiches. Food, service, and atmosphere were great. I'll be back.

Our family’s first night in Ogunquit and we chose Cafe Prego for dinner. It did not disappoint. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was also excellent. The pizza crust was delicious and the salmon special was top notch. Also do not miss out on dessert. The gelato selection was vast and yummy. Would definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Place is 5 stars. Amazing food Amazing people. Great service. Wat staff and the owner go above and beyond to make you feel special. Highly recommend!

Food and service here is very good

Great Italian food. We both had the beef ravioli special and it was excellent. Followed it up with an espresso and their lemon tart. Also great. Go and enjoy.

Excellent Barrata caprese with onion, peppers, arugula and farro. Pizza was only average. Gelato was crunchy, not smooth, as if it had been melted and refrozen. The waiter was great.

Food was amazing. Ordered the best sausage and pepperoni pizza I've ever had in my life.

This place was great. Went for some takeout and it was great! Pizza, salad, and tiramisu. Tiramisu was one of the best I’ve had. Wished I had time to try the gelato!!

Loved the gelato whoopie pie and meatball sub! We had a great time sitting out on the covered patio and enjoying the outdoor weather! Would come back here!

Stopped here on a whim and really enjoyed the food and service. Meatball sandwich was great and my daughter got probably the best plate of kids pasta ever on a kids menu. Well done!

I've never had a bad meal here, really all is good. Sandwiches, Pizza, Salads, Coffee, Desserts, Gelato.... I ventured out of my comfort zone tonight and got the Tuscan Shrimp (amazing pasta, garlic butter limoncello sauce, tomatoes and basil). Y.U.M.And the special app (cauliflower arancini) should be on the perm menu! Highly recommend this place! Always too busy eating and enjoying to snap a picture

We had a margarita pizza and chicken pizza. The pizza was very good and the service was excellent. I was there with my daughter and her boyfriend on Saturday, July 8th, 2023. We sat on the front porch. It was nice to eat and people watch. We will be back.

Stopped in to have one of their specialty desserts, the GELATO WHOOPIE PIE. It was so good and they really know how to make a true Italian espresso coffee! Great service too!!

Love Prego!! One of the most reasonable priced restaurants in Og and it has the best food. There is so many options to order from and their pizza is amazing. They give you a lot of food in the dishes and even when the restaurant is packed it still was a super quick time to when we got our food. If your around town stop at Cafe Prego!

If ever in the area, I highly recommend you give them a try. The pizza and pasta with meats balls may have been the best I've had. They had the meat balls as an app, but not on main menu. We had the app, they were so good I mentioned to the server that I wish they had them on the main menu. She said that shouldn't be a problem and were able to accommodate me. Heard the desert's were awesome but was to full to try one.

Second time there. And it was great.

We go here every year, if possible. Chicken Parm is good. Bolognese is good. Looks like they removed the gelato bar and replaced it with a "bar" bar, and opened up the outside terrace a bit, which makes it easier to wait for a table if it's busy, which is nice.

This dinner experience was fantastic! Had two pizzas (sausage and quattro formaggi) and caesar salad! Pizza was DELICIOUS! Sausage was sliced thin and had a slight kick of spice! Cheese pizza was a combination of cheeses that provided such a jolt of flavor. So good! Caesar salad was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. Slices of parmesan, wonderful flavor! The lady who waited on us was so sweet! Italian music playing in the background. Looking forward to going back but this night will be hard to repeat. Everything from our table location to the food was perfect!

We only had affogato here and it was fantastic. That is all.

This was our first visit to Cafe Prego, but the others in our group have been there many times. My husband chose Margherita Pizza and thought it was very good. Another in our group picked the Vegetable Lasagna! I think I will try that in the future because it looked quite different! I chose the Crab Napoleon and found it appealing at first sight! It had fresh crab, avacado mango salad sitting in a tropical fruit purée and also had pepper and arugula! The presentation was quite unusual and I should have taken a photo! Our granddaughter picked pasta with butter! We were treated and didn’t pay the bill and I can’t remember what our final family member picked. He and his family are frequent customers and wanted us to try this restaurant! The menu was varied, the seating in the deck was comfortable and our server was friendly, attentive and efficient! Oh, I must add that the flowers outside were lovely!

Great place! We searched and searched for a reservation for a Saturday evening. We started at 4pm. We walked right into Cafe Preggo around 6 and got a table right away on the porch.

If you're looking for a good cup of espresso -stay away - seriously - stay away . Coffee connoisseurs they are not , on two attempts at a decent cup of coffee they failed miserably. They weren't able to tell if a cup of espresso is correctly extracted . And if they were at least more friendly this review might have had a saving aspect to it ,but no friendliness is not their cup of tea!!!!

Meat lasagne was a special and was delicious. I also love the pizza. Great location and atmosphere. Friendly service.

I was only going give four because the chardonnay selection is not good. They didn't charge us for it but still bad. Everything else though was very good so I have to give 5 stars. The lobster dish was excellent along with the chicken saltimbocca panini. The pizza was excellent! And the espresso martini was too notch! Definitely will be back!

Amazing, amazing food, dessert and coffee! The staff is really kind and welcoming as well! I ordered a salad, the lobster cannelloni, a carrots cupcake and a mocha latte and OMG everything was incredible. They were not cheap with the lobster in the lobster cannelloni, there was chunks of lobster in there. They make their own pasta at the reastruant. The carrot cupcakes was not overly sweet, and the mocha latte wasn't overly sweet either. I went early for dinner and had my dog with me, it wasn't very crowded so when we sat down they even brought her a bowl of water. I will 100% be going back and highly recommend this place!

My twelve year old granddaughter and I are traveling the coast of Maine. She treated me to Cafe Prego for my birthday. It was fabulous! The service was outstanding, the food absolutely delicious! We shared the fig pizza and she had chicken fingers with homemade chips. Of course, in celebration of my birthday we had the Gelato Supreme. It was amazing! I most definitely recommend Cafe Prego. It is a great little family restaurant.

Simple Italian menu at Ogunquit prices. Busy place.

We were looking forward to eating at Cafe Prego based on the reviews but we were really disappointed. I ordered the lobster canneloni for $32 and it was more like an appetizer and there was truly no lobster in the ricotta. No bread was served with our meal which is unusual for an Italian restaurant. Also, we had to ask for parmesan for our pasta dishes and the waiter brought over a shaker of cheese instead of freshly grated cheese. Overall it was disappointing and we would not go back. They need to do a lot better since I can find much better restaurants in the area.

Our first visit but won’t be our last. The place is pretty small with very nice outdoor dinning. The inside was not very appealing to us. We tried Arancini, mushroom confit and cauliflower special all were very tasty. The Bruschetta was so so, it was missing something for us. Veggie lasagne was delicious I just wish brussel sprouts were cut smaller, risotto was delicious as well as cappuccino, carrot cupcake was supper light and Tiramisu was a perfect ending to our meal. Gelato supreme is huge great option for sharing.

We eat here every time we come to Ogunquit. Small indoor area, large covered outdoor area and uncovered area as well. Great food, lots of selection, good for kids, very tasty and lots of gelato for dessert. They got our kids meals very fast so they could eat before us. Lots of families there too. Very busy all the time but worth it. Right on the main road in town and reasonable prices. We’ll be back next year!

Arancinis and brussel sprouts were very good but a bit too salty. The chicken parmigiana was ok but a bit soggy. The pasta sauce was good and the gelato too! Pizzas were ok.

A perfect lunch. The chicken Saltimbocca was delicious, pasta salad side just as tasty. Karen took took care of us impeccably. All sweetened with one of my favorite southern Italy wines. Wish we had sampled this restaurant earlier in our vacation!

Food was outstanding, staff was super friendly, brought water bowl out for my dog as soon as we sat down. Leave room for dessert, you wont regret it!

Recently had dinner here & we weren’t sure what to expect. But we shared an excellent vegetarian lasagna & mozzarella capresse salad … both were excellent. Loved the fire pit & outdoor seating, where we enjoyed an iced chai while waiting for out table.

Caffe Prego is in the heart of Ogunquit on Shore Road. One may dine inside or on the font deck. The service is good, and food is excellent. We especially enjoyed the roasted butternut squash salad. It was packed with yummy ingredients and served with a light and tasty balsamic dressing.

Their Gelato and espresso bar is sooo good! Service and food was decent too

3.5 stars. We went here for lunch. It eas one of the hot days and it was too hot inside to really enjoy food. However, food was better than average. The icecream fridge is no longer there.

Great food, however if you happen to go after 6:30 p.m. be prepared to wait. They do not take reservations. Had a horrible waiting experience. But I will point out that if the customer service wait list experience was better they may have gotten a four or five star.
