Amazing as usual. We have never gotten a bad dish at Seafood Seller. The wait staff are always kind and attentive. Jimmy and Sue will always greet you like you are family. We love this place.

Our first time there yesterday. Neat & clean atmosphere, decor was super cute. Our server Duke was amazing! Super friendly, personable, polite, informative, & attentive. We had the fried blue crab claws which were cooked to perfection. Hush puppies were great.. you can tell they were home made not out of a package. My husband had the shrimp po boy which was FULL of perfectly breaded & fried shrimp. Okra was an amazing side choice. I had a blackened grouper sandwich with jalapeño corn bread. The grouper filet was a hearty portion.. so good. Jalapeño corn bread was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. We had such an amazing experience & definitely can't wait to go back! Thanks again Duke!

I got the hogfish dinner blackened with red beans and rice, corn and potatoes, and hush puppies. The food was delicious and seasoned perfectly. Also, I got a cup of seafood gumbo. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, amazing. We also got the French dip sandwich, which is delicious. Overall, this place was awesome. The flavor was top-notch, and the service was great. Very busy diner, we were able to squeeze into the bar seating. Bar Tender was sweet and very knowledgeable. Be prepared to wait a few minutes, but they have text waiting. Inside seating is smaller but very much worth the wait.

We went here on recommendation from the captain and dive master on our manatee tour. They told us we would have a wait (which we did) and that it would be worth it (WHICH IT WAS!!). We were seated at a super large table and ended up sharing with a couple who we ended up talking to and had an amazing night. The food was great. Get the beignets! So good, hot and fresh. Our server, Amarri, was so attentive and pleasant: the place is busy and loud and fun. You won’t be sorry.

The first time we ate here it was very good. Good service and delicious, well pportioned food. This time was not a great experience. The service was okay and the meal was, to me, below standards. Considering our two meals with no appetizers or mixed drinks was over $76.00! We sat at a booth where the seat was attached to the booth seat behind us. Everytime that person moved it would shake our seat. The portions were small and my fish was overcooked and too crunchy. My husband's blackened fish was coated in a thick layer of seasoning he had to scrape off to taste the fish. The waiter never refilled our drinks and showed little concern. For the prices they charged, our meal and the service, along with seating, should have been 5 star.

Excellent authentic New Orleans style food. Large portions. Jason our waiter was great. Will definitely be dining there again.

Are you kidding me? We drive an hour and a half to go eat at this place. Nothing bad on the menu. I recommend a cup of gumbo, the crabs stuff, shrimp as the entrée, pick your sides, but do not, repeat do not leave without getting the beignets. Also, ask for the chocolate and raspberry sauce, mix them together and dip your beignet into those. Nothing better!

Our server Duke was the nicest and most attentive server I've had in the longest time! We tried a bunch of things, frog legs, gator bites and the gator sausage and crawfish Mac n cheese. Definitely different but we all loved the Mac n cheese! The jalapeño corn bread was delicious!! We would go back for sure.

Delicious French onion soup and best fried green tomatoes anywhere! Loved the table-side magic tricks.

The Seafood Seller came highly recommended from a coworker. She said be prepared for a wait but that it would be worth it. She was right! We came for an early dinner on a Saturday night and were luckily sat immediately, it was just before 5 pm. The waiting area stayed packed the entire time so be prepared. I promise the food is worth it. Our server (Duke) was on point from the moment he introduced himself. His honest recommendations and suggestions made for the best experience. We shared the crawfish and alligator Mac and cheese appetizer and it was just spicy enough and oh so creamy 10/10. My husband had the fried oyster dinner with mashed potatoes and jambalaya. It was a very generous portion and he enjoyed it very much. I had the grouper (blackened) and it was so fresh, perfectly prepared and such a generous portions. It's so nice to order fish like that and get a gorgeous fat fillet. I love that the grouper is caught fresh from their boats. I paired mine with fried okra and jalapeno cornbread. That jalapeno cornbread is the real deal. 10/10 recommend all the way around! We absolutely had to do dessert and Duke once again did not lead us wrong when he suggested the beignets - absolutely delicious. I have been very disappointed lately in the Florida seafood but Cajun Jimmy's Seafood Seller & Cafe revived my hope in amazing Florida seafood and service. 10/10 recommend this place in Crystal River, FL.

Great seafood, tried their blackened mahi-mahi with mashed potatoes and fried okra. Their beignets are to die for, so fluffy and tasty. They served it hot with raspberry and chocolate sauce!

The gator/crayfish Mac and cheese....OMG. Oh yeah, it's that good!

We were seated right away and our server was great. The food is so good! We had the 1/2lb shrimp appetizer, fried soft crab, seafood gumbo, jambalaya with blackened chicken and an order of Mahi Mahi. Each dish was absolutely fantastic!! Even my 5 year old would not stop complimenting the food. We will definitely be back!

Do not let this being in a strip mall deter you. Staff is friendly and quick. The owner is spectacular and comes around and does magic tricks at your table. The food is amazing. Can't wait to come back to Crystal River and see everyone again.

I stopped in for lunch after receiving a recommendation from our manatee tour guide. I came in with no expectations of leaving a review. I had the fried oysters with 2 sides - fried okra and collard greens. Sides are often. Big gamble especially with the 2 items I chose. I was very pleasantly surprised. Both items were well seasoned and were delicious. Definitely “southern kitchen” approved. They were very generous with the fried oysters - I didn’t count them but I’m sure there were more than a dozen fresh, nice-sized oysters. Highly recommend stopping in for a meal.

Don't be fooled by the location--this place is a Crystal River GEM!! I will definitely be back. We ordered the oysters, blue crab, grouper and bread pudding!

Oysters were nice. Gumbo was good, too. First time ordering shrimp and grits at Sellers and was disappointed. Have had much better elsewhere.

A busy place. Our wait went quickly about 1/2 hour 10 people ahead of us. I had jambalaya with gator sausage & chicken. Wife had the seafood soup. We had the crab dip. All very good. Service was spot on.

Usually consistent with food quality. Except Oysters are not good this time of year. And we made the mistake of trying them steamed. They were yucky.

A couple of months ago my significant other and I visited Cajun Jimmy's Seafood Seller & Cafe where we had a great time! We went kayaking nearby and the tour guide recommended this place. We ordered 5lbs of Crawfish ($35) and 100 Cedar Key Clams ($25)! We were astonished at how cheap the seafood was and how delicious it tasted. The crawfish was mild-moderate spicy but super flavorful and the clams with the butter was phenomenal! We also had the Cup of Cajun Mac ($10) for "appetizer" and it was also delicious! Our total bill was less than $100 including drinks to which we were shocked about. We loved this place so much that we are willing to make the 6 hour drive again. Highly recommend if you are in town!

The food was delicious. We enjoyed every single dish we ordered. And we ordered a lot! Crab balls, gumbo, crab claws. It was all outstanding. The fish and shrimp were unbelievably fresh. The desserts were to die for! We will be back. A must if you are in the area.

Food was overcooked, dried out and disgusting. Mistakes happen, but they could care less. We walked away hungry and sorely disappointed.

The service and food were both outstanding. The fresh Grouper grilled and Hog fish blackened were both excellent and accompanied with exceptional sides like Cajun corn and potato’s. Highly recommend if you’re looking for high quality seafood.

The owner was amazing. He stopped by the table with some magic tricks and his pet crawfish. The atmosphere here is so family friendly.. The food was amazing! I can't wait for him to bring back the muffeleta.. I most certainly will be here to grab some!

Terrible Management Went out for a nice dinner with my mom and sister in-law. We ordered 3# of shrimp, one regular and 2 Cajun along with some soups and drinks. When the shrimp got to the table we all tried a few and they were all overcooked and very chewy. The Cajun shrimp were not even Cajun. They were sprinkled with parsley. Normally I am not one to complain, but at that point, with all 3 orders being overcooked and under seasoned, we asked the waitress to take them back and see if we could just order something else. The manager sent her out to tell us that they could either remake them or take half off the shrimp and we could take them home, but that no substitutions would be made. We asked her (very nice waitress named Lyra) Why would we bring home bad food? It would cost less just to make us something else, and that we weren't going to pay for them. Then we just asked her to please send out the manager. After a few minutes the manager sent out the bar tender to tell us that he was too busy and that he wasn't going to come out to talk with us. She told us that everyone else hasn't had a problem with the shrimp and that our shrimp were fine. At that point we were all upset. The fact that the manager wouldn't even take time to come out and address a problem with a customer was very unprofessional. I told her it made no sense. They are willing to remake the shrimp but not let us order other meals? I'm glad other people's orders have been ok but ours was overcooked and now we don't want shrimp. She then informed me that they tried my shrimp! So hands have now been in my food! And they still wanted us to take them at half price! She insisted that no substitutions would be made, either have the shrimp remade or take them at half price. I told her we would sit and wait for the manager to be available. Then she says "Well that's not going to happen. Either we can remake the shrimp, you can take what you have at half price, or I can call the cops and have you escorted out. He's not coming out here!" And then storms off. The waitress came back and was very nice. So sad the poor girl being treated that way and made to send rude messages back and forth because the manager can't handle his own business. We had them remake the shrimp (because why waste money on bad food). The second batch was still not Cajun and had raw shrimp in it. And they still had the audacity to charge us full price. I would give 0 stars if I could. It was a minor mistake that could have been fixed if they just owned up and apologized. We would have spent more money on different meals, sides, drinks etc, had they just been replaced with something different. Instead, we were treated very poorly, taken advantage of, and threatened. But full stars to Lyra! The waitress handed it like a champ. She was very understanding and apologetic. Did everything she could in "her power" to make it right. She needs to find someplace else to work that would appreciate her.

Best seafood in Citrus Co hands down. Well worth the wait. Catfish étouffée was absolutely out of this world.

Awesome place and probably best seafood and service i've ever had.

We came around dinner time and ended up waiting 2 hours total. It was worth the wait. I definitely recommend Bourbon Burger + Hush Puppies. They also served around Cajun sausage while we waited so long to keep our tummies from starving. I’d definitely come back. Maybe there should be some rules with guests being more considerate if they’re done eating to get out of the restaurant so other people can have a seat. Overall, we really liked this place. Great service from the waitress as well.

Was in town with work and love crawdads and they had them. The spice was nice but don’t think they were live/fresh. Their seafood chowder was great. Beer was cold and service was good. I would go back.

We had been coming here for over a year since we moved to area. We have always loved in the past; however, today was especially bad. My daughter’s favorite crawfish which she orders every time we come here was so salty and tasted awful it was disappointing, she ended up with food poisoning. My wife’s scallops were a little off. But the most disappointing and upsetting element was when we mentioned it to our server she was nonchalant and stated it just the normal seasoning. Another problem we experienced for the first time was the wait time between when the appetizers were cleared off our table and the main course arrived, which was over 25 minutes. The thing that makes it even more frustrating and upsetting is based on our previous visits we had become used to a five star experience. We might give it one more chance in the future in hopes that this was a one time event but it will be harder to get past the poor attitude. Thank you

This is my 2nd review of Cajun Jimmy's. This afternoon at 3pm not to busy. Angela was server. Order the kids Popcorn Shrimp and add on Catfish with Crispy well done fries. Asked for non spicy Shrimp & Catfish, last 4 times no problem. 1 time several Big Shrimp over cooked mentioned to other server. Fell on Deaf Ears! Today wasn't happy with my Dinner and Fell on Deaf ears! Angela suggested Flour based batter. The 4 other visits no one ever said flour batter but this time: yuck! We ended up ordering a 2nd Catfish with normal batter: much better. Should I be billed for the 1st bad fish? Well we were, not planning to eat out with my mom next time she wants her Gumbo. For what it's worth frustrated from Ocala. ** I will stay home away from Jimmy's with a Response like that!

First time here. Usually this place is packed but we got right in. The food was delicious. I got a burger and my husband got a fried chicken sandwich and they were both amazing. The portions are big, so you def get your monies worth. We also got the crawfish and gator Mac n cheese and it was hands down the best Mac n cheese I’ve ever had. You def have to stop in here if you’ve never been!

Our dinner was very well-prepared and tasty. We will definitely return there on our return to Crystal River. Even though we had a 55 min wait to be seated, the food was well worth the time spent in line.

We tried this restaurant for the first time during our Florida trip and it was by far the best seafood any of us have had in YEARS. Everything was awesome and our waitress, Ammari, was incredible. We would 100% visit Crystal River again just to eat here.

Came on a recommendation. Stuffed shrimp was good, Mac & Cheese with gator & crawfish, my some likes that. Grouper sandwich was lacking, and the Mahi tacos, the Mahi was very dry. 3 orders of tacos, no one finished.

OMGosh! This place is incredible. Must have: Seller Shrimp with Cajun beer butter sauce and French bread. Gator tail & blue crab balls awesome too. Excellent service. No wait at 4pm but already filling up by 5:00pm. If you are in Crystal River, this is the only place to eat if you love fresh seafood.

This is our go to restaurant in the area. The seafood is fresh. The dishes are delicious. The staff are friendly. We also enjoy seeing Jimmy! You can’t leave without ordering beignets.

Lanie was the greatest server, bringing us a couple of crawfish after I mentioned to her that I’ve never had any. Of all of our travels eating seafood, this was absolutely the best. The catfish was a huge, delicious portion, the red beans and rice were so unusually delicious, and the jambalaya was the best we’ve had even in New Orleans. The prices were very reasonable.

Best food in Florida had everything on the menu at some point never disappointed with anything. Usually busy so be prepared to wait a bit to get in but worth the wait for sure

Wonderful place to eat!! We loved the oysters with bacon and cheese, the gator bites were good and the jalapeño ammberjack did was delicious!! The granddaughters ate every bit of their food and wanted more hushpuppies too.

I heard high recommendations to this place. The food was just ok. Not what I had expected for the price. The decor and music is lacking. Service was also lacking and it was not busy. Go if you want, your experience maybe better than mine.

The food, drinks, and service are amazing!

I ordered the Shrimp Scampi pasta. It was bland. I usually do not add salt to my food. I had to add salt to give it some flavor. The Shrimp was over cooked so it was a little tough. The garlic bread was good. I usually don't leave reviews; however, this plate was $20.00. It was very expensive for what I received.

Went there this past Saturday and they said there was 10 tables ahead of me so I asked about how long did they think that would be and they said we’re not allowed to tell you that. they were very rude about it and other customers waiting shared the same sentiment. I would have stayed had they give me an estimate of how long the wait was and wasn’t extremely rude about it. I guess they think their food is so damn good they don’t have to be courteous and if you don’t like that go somewhere else.so I did. If you don’t mind being treated rudely then I would recommend calling ahead to see how many tables are ahead of you. They don’t go by customer count only tables.

My personal opinion It is very bland and overpriced. I didn't taste the seasoning.

I lived in New Orleans for years but now live in Fla. I am so happy I found this restaurant in Florida! The service and atmosphere were so inviting and the food is so Delicious!! Best jambalaya I have had in a long time!! Will be going back to try more!!

Visiting from England and Scotland. We were swimming with Manatees and with Fun2Dive and our guide Crystal recommended Jimmy’s. Outstanding. Had the jambalaya and it was so tasty. Best place we’ve eaten so far in Florida!

Our server Duke was absolutely awesome, took great care of us and had all of the answers to all of our menu questions on the spot. Best collards I've ever had in my life, good bloody Mary, overall an awesome experience and I highly recommend it. Thanks Duke!! You made a great experience for us!!

Captain Wyn and I really enjoyed our visit soooo much.. it was packed, so we started at the bar and had a few awesome nonalcoholic beers.. and an appetizer and a salad. Then we got a table after about an hour and had some fabulous grouper with a few sides. Highly recommended!!!!

Seafood seller is one of our favorite restaurants in literally all of Central Florida. The food and atmosphere are WELL worth the wait. While my family always orders seafood, I don’t personally eat it and there is plenty too other choices to accommodate the pickier eaters. The owner Jimmy is so incredibly kind and always makes a point to say hi and entertain us and our children with some pretty awesome magic tricks. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anybody living in or visiting the area!

Get the Sellers shrimp. They were huge, deveined, and delicious. The dipping garlic butter beer sauce and fresh bread put it over the top. Wow!

This was a real jem. Fantastic seafood dishes. Not cheap, but good value for money. Only note is that the place was very busy and the bartender could use some help to improve service responsiveness.

Be prepared to wait for a table cause it's a busy place, but it's worth it. My husband and I were on a date and this place did not disappoint. It was so good that we forgot to take photos. We had the tuna appetizer which it has some kick of spice, loved it. We also had French onion soup, fried fish with jambalaya rice (excellent), crab cake sandwich with fries, but the best part was the beignets (delicious) In my opinion the beignets don't need the sauces, they're good by themselves. I wish for everyone to have a good experience or better than mine. Recommended 100%

The crab dish had been frozen. The seasoning was very hard. If they say their stuff is fresh, think again. Plus very expensive! Your answer is so lame. People can experience it for themselves. That's why people can leave reviews. That's why people can tell the truth.

I've heard about Cajun food but never tasted it before, it blew my mind. Its so full of flavor, you can savor you meal hours later. The service was really good, considering we were a large party so it could get tricky, but it never did. Everything that I tasted was amazing, however, the smoked amberjack dip and jambalaya get a special shoutout. Amazing. No words are sufficient. If they added a starters platter, it would be great because there was so much I wanted to try.

We waited for about and hour and half on a Saturday night to get a table and when I say I'd do it again in a heartbeat I mean that! Duke was our server and as a former waitress, I was super impressed by his attention to detail and skills. The food was phenomenal we got tons of options to try and some great specials. Best seafood we had in years. Each menu item we had at our table was somewhere between fantastic and outstanding. The Hurricane and beignets rounded it out. Great meal and experience. The service was also outstanding. Was recommended by our manatee boat captain.

This place is hopping! I wasn't expecting it to be crowded on a Thursday night but there was a wait. Food hot fresh and tasty! The gumbo is outstanding, and so is the shrimp po boy. The fried shrimp in general is delicious. I would also recommend the crab stuffed shrimp. Our server was busy and on top of her game + super friendly. Worth the trip.
