Love this place so much came here twice on our trip to NOLA! Don't be fooled by the outside, this place is legit. Their crawfish is some of the best I've ever had. We also had gumbo, po boys and the crawfish pie and it was all amazing. Already thinking about my next trip!

Best crawfish I ever had in my life. I got 1lb and it was spicy and so good. My friend got a boiled egg, potato and Turkey neck and loved her food. We both got the shrimp fried rice to go and that was so good! We ate it at room temperature late that night and it was still good. Cajun Seafood is a must!

This place is a must visit for me when I'm in New Orleans. I travel to New Orleans once a year and this place is always at the top of my list. Surrey's For Breakfast , Cajun Seafood lunch and Deanies for dinner are non-negotiable when I'm in town. Shrimp and Crawfisj, spicy garlic butter, fried rice and I'm set. Don't think too long. Go in the and grub.

All I can say is NOLA, NOLA, NOLA..damn!!! 🔥

Maybe a few years back the restaurant provided some quality. The customer service is okay but the food quality has went down. The shripm are cooked way to long. The price has increased $9.99/lb for shrimp that are not de veined plus they charge you for the head of shrimp that's not attached.

The food was delicious. I came to visit new orleans with a group of 10 people. We got something to eat from here every single say we were here. Turkey wings, fried fish, shrimp, gumbo, seafood boil bag all a 10 out of 10. Higky recommend.

Ordered Cajun gumbo with rice. Fair gumbo except for the three medium pieces of shell in it. Side of fresh catfish, rubbery and very greasy. Did not feel safe in restaurant. Service was questionable at best. Needs work.

Food was fresh and hot! I got a cup of gumbo and it was good but not grand. The service was fast. They have plenty of cold and hot options. I also go the shrimp platter and the shrimp were big. My fries were soggy which is the opposite of what I asked for. The “salad” was just shredded lettuce, pickle, and tomato (similar to the dressings of a burger). Completely forgot my ranch dressing and no tartar sauce.

The staff is very rude , nonchalant you ask them a question and they just stare at you very discouraging if you are new to the city or visiting

This is the best seafood I've had may be ever! They give you your food in a clear plastic bag and you can get a Togo box or bring newspapers to eat on! I got 2 big blue crabs, pound of crawdads and a pound of shrimps (both boiled up hot and spicy), a cluster of snow crabs, corn, potato, Cajun boiled egg, and my favorite a Neckbone! All cooked perfectly! Be warned, this place gets busy quick and sometimes local natives wander in to sing or converse with you! I’m thinking about flying back down to just eat there! All of what I got cost me around 60 bucks!

Update; crawfish and shrimp is a must if you're here during crawfish season! Always my go-to when visiting and never disappoints, especially during crawfish season when you can get them for $5.99 a pound and they're favor hits. Other cities charge 16 bucks a pound for live crawfish cooked, and they're not doing it nowhere near like New Orleans flavor, and just how the locals hit this place up shows you it's doing something right

This spot was recommended by the valet at our hotel. It did not disappoint. The food was hot and we'll seasoned. This will be my go-to whenever I'm in New Orleans.

Although I reached the city and went to my favorite spot for seafood, a roach was present, making it an unacceptable situation.

Lines are long but they do move fast.. Food is bland definitely will need sauce and hot sauce

The location is horrible, the boiled pig feet are salty, the line is long, and the man holding the door is rude.

This is an extremely casual fast-food setting, the long line out the door speaks for itself popularity. We got boiled crab, potatoes, corn, and eggs. It was good! We’ve enjoyed this fare at other locations in the gulf coast and liked those flavors a little better, but this stuff wasn’t bad at all

Overrated!!! Only out of towners eat there.Sorry they don't know better. Cold food after waiting 30mn. Seafood so spicy you can't taste what your eating. Just to be clear I love real spicy seafood. It was uncomfortably Hottttt!!! Inside of this place. Boiled crabs was not fresh either, dry and empty.

Anytime I come to NOLA, Cajuns is a must. As usual it was good and as usual, I’ll be back. They never disappoint!

This place is a locals spot, which is a good thing! The crablegs were a nice size, they serve crawfish, crabs, shrimp, shrimp fried rice (dont recommend), eggs, broccoli, etc...You can order up fresh or oick what you want out the display. Be aware, its Cajun! So set your mind straight on that fact, and you'll enjoy it. But again, leave that fried rice where its at.

I am from New Orleans but haven't lived there in over 20 years. So I always come back looking for some savory spicy boiled crawfish. This place was exactly what I needed in terms of flavor but the crawfish were so tiny it became a chore for me, whom I consider a pro at peeling crawfish. I also ordered the hot sausage poboy because once again New Orleans is the only place to find the Patton's hot sausage patties. It did not disappoint. I was really turned off by the homeless lingering both inside and outside of the restaurant. I wasn't too bothered when I was stopped outside and questioned for money. But it was beyond annoying when the man came into the building and began asking people for money while they were eating.

Love the atmosphere and service from this place. I was looking for a place that does seafood boil in Louisiana while I am visiting and this place was recommended to us. It did not disappoint. The price was very affordable for a good amount of seafood boil. The flavors, ooohhh goodness. This place is a must try. I got the Fiery Blend Special and in Medium spice. Love the kick to the spicy. We also got the catfish basket, so much flavor. We were truly happy and I got to kick my seafood boil cravings.

This is the second time I went to this market for seafood boil. The flavors are legit. Good price. If they could open later at night, it will be better. But there are too many homeless people at the neighborhood. Great food though. This is the place where the locals go.

The boiled crawfish, head on shrimp and crabs were amazing. We probably wouldn't get the blue crabs again, as there wasn't much meat.

It's quick and we really enjoyed the hot sausage po boy! The gumbo is almost too spicy to eat, which is unfortunate because I like spicy and it seems that it might be good otherwise! I also ordered and paid for shrimp fried rice, but got all the way home only to realize that they gave me a side of white rice. 😥

‼️If you are not a local, skip this restaurant‼️ 👉Vagrants intercept customers ,begging, as we tried to enter the restaurant. 👉Other homeless ( strong out ) sleeping partially exposed, on the tables. 👉The staff behind the counter just turned the other cheek, and where unconcerned about the vagrants, additionally they were not pleasant, the best was to describe them was RUDE. 📣The one exception was the attendee in the dinning area who tried to get the vagrants to leave, he seemed to care about the customer experience.

Expect your food to be super hot, like way hot, and fresh, but it will need to cool for a while before you can eat it! Yakkamein and gumbo were lacking, but the crawfish and sausage were great!

On the seafood side, the hot and spicy crawfish was so guh dayum good i was there 2 nights...IN A ROW! I mean nose sniffling, teary eyed spicy deliciousness!! A definite must if you call yourself a crawfish connoisseur!!! Make sure you get some sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob. I had to force myself to try another place...and was mad that I did. I almost bought some to bring back home but my cooler was already full. I will for damn sure be going back whenever I'm in NOLA!!

Purchased 1 dz med crabs today and they were horrible. Spent $45.00 No taste at all and dry. Today made me remember why I stopped buying their seafood years ago. I had to make a dip in order to get them to taste like boiled crabs! Will never go here again!

Not a local reviewer. Tried this place based on local recommendations. The place did seem very popular with the locals but if you’re expecting a 4 star place, you’ll be mistaken. The shrimp tasted only like hot spicy flavor. Very difficult to eat because they were overcooked and the shells became difficult to remove. Made the mistake of eating inside. We ate maybe 25% of what we bought and then threw the rest away. Went to another restaurant.

This place is not the same..I came twice take sure I wasn't tripping and I wasn't. I don't think the same people own it anymore. Just didn't have the same flavor and food wasn't tender.

Everything was great EXCEPT that Gumbo

First time visiting the Cajun Restaurant. Their fried catfish and shrimp basket was the best that I have ever had. But those damn boiled eggs!!! I don't know what the red juice that they were marinating in but you can't just eat two. They have a great variety of food. I wish I had tried their snow crab and dungeoness crab while I was there. You won't be disappointed!!! 😊😊😊

The food was ok, you got a lot for what you pay. We seat inside and there was no air so it was super hot.

I had this restaurant recommended to me by two people, but unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The staff behind the counter were not friendly or nice at all. The Crawfish were shoveled out from a pile of pre-cooked crawfish. They were not very good. They were mushy and tasted like they were old, the potatoes and corn were not good at all definitely overcooked. The environment is like a big cafeteria, not comfortable at all. I’m sorry, but I cannot recommend this place.

I love this place. The air wasn’t working recently, but it was still worth it. I had the small gumbo this time, and it was perfect.

Amazing food! Service could be a bit better but not bad. Just know that the area located in is questionable. I’m ok with it but some people might be too worried about the area.

Came here on a recommendation from a bus driver. This place might not seem like much but it was really great. Even though it looks like a random place in the middle of a schetchy neighborhood, fear not! The people were great. The bathroom was the cleanest bathroom in all of New Orleans. I'm not saying that lightly. Over our week trip we went into a lot of them. I do suggest getting the fried fish or chicken. Cooked perfectly. We got a little of everything- 5lbs of crawfish, 2 lbs of shri.p, potatoes, pig's feet, corn, fries. (You can also get turkey necks and other things) All spiced amazingly. The batter was great. If we shared this between 5 people and it was just enough food. Please know if you're not a spicy person that it should be ok except for the corn. That corn soaked up every amount of spice. All joking aside- this place is no joke and deserves a visit.

Visiting from Chicago stopped to get something quick to eat, the hamburger was okay, the milk shake tasted like a laxative.

Shrimp and catfish were delicious. The fried rice was also very tasty. Prices are decent.

Get the hot food, skip on the market. This place is run so efficiently, even with a line out the door youll get your food fast, hott and seasoned well. The fresh raw shrimp was very dissapointing, a lot of the bag was just the heads, and the shrimp was half bad and mushy. Less than half was useable. Theres plenty of vendors in town that sell fresh raw shrimp, any one of them would be better.

The food was good if you can eat the super spicy food. I got the the shrimp and I did not eat them. Everyone else enjoyed everything they got. Crab legs, lobster tail 😋 and shrimp.

I'm not a seafood eater disappointed they had no fried fish, took my sister in law there to get a shrimp platter.

Boiled seafood tasted like plastic. Couldn’t peel it without losing half the meat with it. Like the put it in the microwave. Shrimp fried rice tastes bland and had shrimp like in the maruchan. Crawfish pies weren’t bad but they used to have better flavor.

The door was abruptly closed and locked in our faces upon walking up to the front door to enter, all while we watched others be helped inside. It was Strawberry fest weekend and I get it's busy but that's not the way to treat people.

Great seafood. The eggs were delicious. The shrimp was hard to peel. Other than that they were friendly and had it was a great atmosphere

I really don't like prefrozen crayfish! Secondly I don't think they're selling fried CATFISH, the texture, look, and taste is off. Probably white/talipia fish. Catfish isn't flat. Its curls. No more fried seafood from Cajuns. I think the oysters aren't fresh! I said I wasn't getting any more seafood frim them but tried them again 4/26/24,yeah I'm done in the fried seafood area.

This place has the best gumbo I've ever tasted. Very grateful a local recommended this spot while I was in NOLA on business. I'll definitely return every time I'm in town

Crawfish are consistently good! We have been getting them here for over 10 years.

The crawfish ain’t hitting. Granted, I visited in January but they were HIGH AS HELL, small, full of poop, and not seasoned well. Also, overcooked and a lot of dead ones (iykyk) in the bag. Never.Again

Lot's of decisions and they are all pretty good! You walk in place your order boil bags from shrimp to pig feet boil. (And everything else) And the other line they have is for fried platters. Both lines stay fairly busy. Which means...., The food must be pretty good or people wouldn't wait in line for that long to get an order. And it is that good. I got the softshell crab platter with fried rice, which was rather delicious. It was more than I could eat. and my husband had the shrimp po' boy sandwich He thought was pretty good. If you looking for cheaper and taste as good as the French Quarter then you should check it out. The ambience is so so it's really nothing to brag about because you just go pick up your food. Sit and eat it if you like and if you don't you keep it moving.

This gem of a seafood restaurant is in a very skecthy neighborhood, but the food is definitely worth the time to drive there and give it a try! The crawfish was great. The King and Dungeness crabs were on the dry or overcooked side. The fried turkey wings, mushrooms, and sausage were all really good. Overall, I will definitely come back for more when I'm in NO again.

Oooooo weeeee! This is where it's at. Fresh seafood and they get you in and out very quickly. Are they going to ask how your day is? No. But they operate like a well oiled machine and make sure your order is correct and fresh. The food is so good it hurts. Great flavor. Spicy! We had crawfish, crabs, and shrimp. The seafood itself is gluten free. I avoided the prepared dishes to be safe. I liked the boiled potatoes and corn. I did not like the boiled turkey wing. Great local place.

The food was old, cold and seemed to be days old . My sister and I had food poisoning after eating here and could not enjoy the rest of our time in Nawlins. I would give negative stars if it was available. The crab legs soggy, the crawfish were small and cold. The boudain looked like it was never cooked (It was pink ). TERRIBLE.
