If it's late and youre in the mood - this is the place . Just be advised: the wait might be crazy. Btw: (spicy) hot means hot here. Don't brave this. I couldn't breathe.

Very good!! The line can get very long if after 5:30pm. The food is freshly made and excellent customer service.

I’m pretty disappointed with the service in this location. I waited over 35 min for pupupusas and it wasn’t even busy. I will not be going back to this location.

Bomb as usual. Packed at 12, but all of their locations are at that hour, and that's a good thing.

They are very efficient and well organized they get their customers in and out but you have the option of dining in, their location is a small spot so seating is limited music is playing and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Don’t bother ordering online or calling. They will never ever have your order done on time and will attend to everyone in line before starting your order even though you paid 40 minutes in advance.

Good food, small portions. I've never seen a restaurant scoop food onto my plate then take some off right in front me. This happens every time. They don't even give you two scoops of rice in a burrito bowl. Not worth the money. I won't be returning.

You cant ask for a more authentic style of restaurant, the vibrant colors and culture depicted in the art work alone sets the tone for your experience. The food there is highest quality of the restaurant style. Friendly vibes and Carne asada fries make this my go to spot for Mexican food! Highly recommend!

Great authentic restaurant! The tables are sparse and very informal dining setting, however there is a super quick service, and very yummy generous portions! I got the three tacos and burrito!! The carne asada melted in my mouth. The guacamole was delicious! Overall, super authentic for California burrito quality and super great price!! Will be coming back if I come through this area again!!!

Absolutely love this place. Moved out of state to Vermont. Used to work in Nashua, this was one of my favorite spots to get food in the area. MUCH better than chipotle. Same sort of set up (food bar that you walk down and ask for toppings) Most of the staff speaks very little English but I don't mean anything negative by that. They do appreciate it if you can attempt to order in Spanish, which is great practice! They're very accommodating and will understand what you want if you order in English, food taste great. Literally go out of my way to stop here for lunch/early dinner with my fiance when we drive back to the area to visit my family. Prices are similar to chipotle (about the same price for what I would get there) however again, much better food quality. Usually a little cramped (because honestly the food is amazing) if you go there during lunch or dinner there will probably be a line out the door. Totally worth the wait though. They usually get through the line pretty fast!

This place is close to my apartment and we decided to finally try it. It’s basically the better version of Chipotle. Ingredients are fresher and less expensive! Last time I went to Chipotle, I found it was way too salty. They also have pupusas, so I will have to try that next time! The only drawback of this place was that they didn’t turn on their AC in the dining area.

Wasn't really sure what I wanted for lunch, but I know I wanted to come here! Last second decision was a burrito bowl, cilantro rice, carne asada, pico de gallo, cheese and lettuce with a side of chips w/ medium spicy salsa. Y'all... the chicken and carne asada that was being cooked looked mouthwatering! Plus the gal behind the counter was a ninja with that knife, cutting up the protien!!! <slice, slice, slice, slice, CHOPCHOPCHOPCHOP!!!> I topped off my burrito bowl with Cholula hot sauce (pic was taken before i added it)... Overall- Very good!! Thank you all! You're all hard workers, and your food is EXCELLENT! Thanks again!! 👍😎❤️

Love, love, love the food here. The grilled chicken is perfection. Nicely lightly marinated with a nice char. Everything I've tried hax been hot, fresh, and nicely prepared. This location is a bit off the beaten path, but a short block or so walk from main Street. I frequently walk over from Main Street United Methodist Church ac ig if too close to drive. The listing says "outdoor dining", but they must be referring to the city picnic tables across the street.

Raw pieces of chicken on multiple occasions and steak is way too hard to chew.

Me and my girlfriend got food poisoning from here 06/03/24 from our steak burritos. We both threw up. Meat was also very tough to chew like they don’t cut the fat off at all.

Just got out of the hospital after experiencing life threatening food poisoning/E Coli after eating at this dump. Not only is the entire staff consist of illegal aliens who can't mutter a single phrase in English much less read or write in our language. When my wife called to let them know about the E Coli; the manager cackled and said cabrone. Support American owned businesses not this b*aner

They don't take orders tru the phone, even do I've call several of times considering i was driving.. I had to text them the order, wait for a text confirmation... upon my arrival the order was never completed even do I was in the right location, and show them the text confirmation of the order and whit a rude attitude I was dismissed

Absolutely adore the atmosphere, the delicious food, and the wonderful people here! Hands down the best Mexican foods around. I genuinely wish I lived closer, so I could visit here every single day. :)

This is a little spot but the food was good. Found it in on a whim. The only complaint was that the roof was leaking so when we went to pay at the register I got dripped on the head. The water was being collected in little bowls kind of a turn off BUT the concept is great. Food was very good.

The service was very cold place an order no conversation just cafeteria style and it was okay tasting However you definitely are not getting what you pay for

Been coming here for years pretty frequently. The food is really good but we have noticed a change in staff and the staff now are not friendly at all!! They rush us , roll their eyes at us and just straight up RUDE ! Probably won’t be going for a while

Ordered for the office on National Taco day…the food was excellent. Easy pickup when we ordered ahead online. Everyone loved it. Good place in downtown Nashua for sure.

The Best Place for a Taste Delight

I moved here from Atlanta a year ago and have been in search of good Mexican food. I’ve been here twice and really wanted to like it. The food lacks flavor, chips are stale, and it’s expensive for the portion size. Service is efficient but not friendly. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back.

The food here is amazing! Me & hubby come here often until about a month ago… the staff is rude! They always have been but because the food is so good we would just brush it off. This one specific day, the gay guy that works there, I hate to use that description but I truly don’t know how else to describe him… was giving us so much attitude, slamming things down, slapping the food together. When we would ask for something he’d give us a sly smirk & chuckle with aggravation. Let’s just say, he needed to get slapped. I gave him a tip just because he needed to cheer up but he literally snatch it out my hand and slammed it into the tip jar! He needs to be spoken to before he tries it with someone who has time to teach him a lesson!

I got the burrito bowl but they charge 75 cents for the tortilla which is a rip off it's called a burrito bowl so it should be included. The skimp on how much food they give u which is not a lot. Get one scoop of rice veggies or beans and they don't fill the spoon they put little less than half a spoon and the meat pieces are really tiny. For the price they should definitely fill the bowl a lot more.

Bad service didn’t get what I asked for

I stopped in for lunch and got a Carnitas Burrito. First of all the meat is Roast Pork not Carnitas and second they only put a small amount in the Burrito. They also charge $1.00 for onions and peppers which they shouldn't. The Burrito was okay but I wish that I could have tasted the pork more.

Small place with fresh food. It's nice seeing them cook the steak, chicken, and other items behind the line. The steak is cut in front of you and added to your item. I had the bowl with steak, a few salsa, guac and lots of lettuce. For the same price as major chain burrito joints, I'd rather go here.

It’s very good except for when they let the rice dry out and every piece is hard as a rock, either that or it’s just not cooked fully. I come here because the meat is fresh vs at other places it’s been sitting out all day. But it is very disappointing when I get hard rice and it’s happened to me I’m about half of my experiences here.

Today was my first time trying California burritos and I can’t wait to come back. The food was fantastic and the service was immediate! The staff is friendly and passionate about their craft. The seating area is clean and the atmosphere is perfect. Last but certainly not least the cost is reasonable especially considering all other factors.

I love California Burrito, hands down the best and quickest Mexican in the area. Definitely chose this location, the original and still the best. The Hudson location is great but it's always terribly busy.

Excellent fish tacos! Ask for corn tortillas...you're not in Baja. The Salvadoran pupusas are great too. A super lunch stop!

The food is great but if you want a positive experience, DON’T order takeout. I did on a Sunday evening (granted, the order said it would be ready in 30 min) and when I went to pick up, the line was out the door and I had to wait more than 30 mins for the food order I had placed 40 mins ago. I would’ve saved time getting myself at the end of that line, but I had already paid for the pickup order. I don’t know if it’s because they don’t have enough staff or aren’t distributing the work equally, but that’s not ok

Get staff. Very patient. Everything is always tasting so fresh! Pico de pineapple y mango or just plain pico de gallo is a must try. At least once. To see which on you like most. So good. Depending on the time it gets busy and the line goes thru the door. Don’t get discouraged, the line moves fast. Carne asada fries, delish. All their meats have so much flavor! If you looking for veggie option they have that as well! They also have pupusas! So good! Queso dip is worth it! Guac is good on everything! To go food is great but eating it fresh is the best! As for the kiddos, They have various kids options and the staff have fun with them allowing them to pick their ingredients for their burritos. Thank you!!!!

Terrible service recently, waiting for 15 minutes while all the employees work on one mobile order. Then you have to repeat everything three times. No wonder why there's a line out the door all the time.

Ayer fui a comprar comida y pedí unas papas con carne asada y me dieron unas papas que otra gente las dejó por que yo las pedí para comer allí y me las dieron en una bandeja para llevar estaban super frías no me gustaron para nada y me mandaron al baño de una por ahora no regreso a ese lugar

Stopped here for a quick dinner after a shopping trip at the Indian store nearby. It's a chipotle style restaurant but with much fresher ingredients than the chain restaurants. Also they had a lot more options in terms of salsas and other toppings. A pretty good place to have a pocket friendly yet delicious meal.

Excellent food and staff. Perfect variety and extremely quick making your food. Just be prepared for a long line out the door. But that goes said for a good reason. Most certainly worth the wait and very affordable for the whole family. Also can enjoy beers Mexican sodas and margaritas. Doesn't not have outdoor seating anymore as of now.

Came here for lunch, pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was pretty busy and they went through the line in a very quick fashion. I would definitely go here again.

Delicious and authentic made fresh to your preference

California Burritos is an unassuming gem in the historic section of Nashua. My go-to are the crispy Carnitas Tacos made traditional style with cilantro and onions with the spicy salsa and a dollop of guacamole. I literally can eat 5 of these and still have room for a Papusa, Pupusas are thick corn tortillas that can be stuffed with various fillings, including various meats (for mine I had chicharron), refried beans, cheese. (Coution these come super hot, so start with the tacos). I washed it down with a delicious horchata, but they also serve a great margarita too! I absolutely dig this place. It had been 2 years since my last visit (mostly because of the pandemic), but they remembered me like it I had been there last week. They also offer amazing burritos and fries with steak or Carnitas or chicken on top. I'm getting hungry writing this review. definitely visit California Burritos for the great eats in Nashua!
